Solicitud de José Joaquín de León y Herrera para anular su reelección en el cargo rectoral

El rector del Colegio Mayor del Rosario José de León, pide que se anule su reelección en el cargo al ser prohibida por las constituciones del Colegio Mayor de Salamanca. Los consiliarios y vicerrector responden a la petición diciendo que la reelección es provechosa para el Colegio Mayor porque el buen trabajo que ha realizado el rector José de León.

Este documento analiza la escuela como reproductora de las categorías sociales que clasifican a las personas. El autor propone revisar sus significados a favor de suprimir la desigualdad que impide la consecución de los derechos básicos y jerarquiza al alumnado. La diversidad les hace singulares y promueve su libertad personal.

La reproducción de estereotipos sexuales en las escuelas : un mecanismo de exclusión de las maestras del cargo de dirección.

Se analizan las razones por las que se limita a las maestras el acceso a los puestos de poder y dirección y por qué les resulta difícil mantenerse en ellos. La vigencia y difusión de estereotipos sexuales en las escuelas, explica la ausencia de maestras en los equipos directivos y la pervivencia de la división sexual del trabajo en los centros, si bien, se constata una feminización generalizada en la enseñanza primaria. La vigencia y transmisión de estereotipos de género parece estar ligado al modelo originario de maestra, es decir, la dulzura y bondad, cuidado y atención, cualidades propias de una madre. Este enfoque se contrapone a la idea de maestro, ligado al conocimiento y la autoridad. Se explica la metodología llevada a cabo para el desarrollo de una investigación, realizada en centros públicos de primaria, destinada a identificar los factores que motivan la ausencia de mujeres en la dirección escolar. Al final se hace un análisis de los resultados obtenidos. Las reseñas detalladas se apoyan en las respuestas dadas básicamente por los propios docentes.

Transcripción del Decreto de 1946 por el que se creaba en la Universidad de Madrid la Cátedra 'Ramiro de Maeztu', dedicada a la investigación y enseñanza de los principios que informaban a la comunidad espiritual de los pueblos hispánicos y el fomento del mutuo conocimiento entre los mismos. La Cátedra estaba dotada por el Instituto de Cultura Hispánica. Su Patronato estaba constituido por el Rector de la Universidad de Madrid, el Decano de la Facultad de Ciencias Políticas y Económicas, el Obispo de Madrid-Alcalá, el Director del Instituto de Cultura Hispánica y el Presidente de Asociación Cultural Iberoamericana.

The effect of rapid changes in ionospheric flow on velocity vectors deduced from radar beam-swinging experiments

The effects on the horizontal ionospheric velocity vectors deduced from radar beam-swinging experiments, which occur when changes in the flow take place on short time scales compared with the experiment cycle time, are analysed in detail. The further complications which arise in the interpretation of beam-swinging data, due to longitudinal gradients in the flow and to field-aligned flows, are also considered. It is concluded that these effects are unlikely to seriously compromise statistical determinations of the response time of the flow, e.g. to changes in the north-south component of the IMF, such as have been recently reported by Etemadiet al. (1988, Planet. Space Sci.36, 471), using EISCAT ‘Polar’ data.

A Hopping Mechanism for Cargo Transport by Molecular Motors on Crowded Microtubules

Most models designed to study the bidirectional movement of cargos as they are driven by molecular motors rely on the idea that motors of different polarities can be coordinated by external agents if arranged into a motor-cargo complex to perform the necessary work Gross, Hither and yon: a review of bidirectional microtubule-based transport (Gross in Phys. Biol. 1:R1-R11, 2004). Although these models have provided us with important insights into these phenomena, there are still many unanswered questions regarding the mechanisms through which the movement of the complex takes place on crowded microtubules. For example (i) how does cargo-binding affect motor motility? and in connection with that-(ii) how does the presence of other motors (and also other cargos) on the microtubule affect the motility of the motor-cargo complex? We discuss these questions from a different perspective. The movement of a cargo is conceived here as a hopping process resulting from the transference of cargo between neighboring motors. In the light of this, we examine the conditions under which cargo might display bidirectional movement even if directed by motors of a single polarity. The global properties of the model in the long-time regime are obtained by mapping the dynamics of the collection of interacting motors and cargos into an asymmetric simple exclusion process (ASEP) which can be resolved using the matrix ansatz introduced by Derrida (Derrida and Evans in Nonequilibrium Statistical Mechanics in One Dimension, pp. 277-304, 1997; Derrida et al. in J. Phys. A 26: 1493-1517, 1993).

The dynamics of cargo driven by molecular motors in the context of asymmetric simple exclusion processes

We consider the dynamics of cargo driven by a collection of interacting molecular motors in the context of ail asymmetric simple exclusion process (ASEP). The model is formulated to account for (i) excluded-volume interactions, (ii) the observed asymmetry of the stochastic movement of individual motors and (iii) interactions between motors and cargo. Items (i) and (ii) form the basis of ASEP models and have already been considered to study the behavior of motor density profile [A. Parmeggiani. T. Franosch, E. Frey, Phase Coexistence in driven one-dimensional transport, Phys. Rev. Lett. 90 (2003) 086601-1-086601-4]. Item (iii) is new. It is introduced here as an attempt to describe explicitly the dependence of cargo movement on the dynamics of motors in this context. The steady-state Solutions Of the model indicate that the system undergoes a phase transition of condensation type as the motor density varies. O Sistema de Comunicação Digital (SICODI) como instrumento para efetivação do teletrabalho na fiscalização a cargo do Tribunal de Contas do Estado do Rio de Janeiro

The acts of public administration personnel are of great importance and various laws have been passed in attempt to limit the related expenses. The management of Public administration personnel is based on the principle of efficiency. The TCE/RJ (State of Rio de Janeiro/Audit Court) digital communication system is expected through telework to facilitate its auditing duties in compliance with the terms of the Federal and State constitutions. The TCE/RJ, the superior judicial body of auditing, has done more than just reduce costs and use flextime; it applies telework as an instrument to optimize public service through SICODI digital certification to maximize the resources applied to this constitutional act with greater efficiency for effective auditing. The focus of the first part of this study is to evaluate the tasks of positions that forward the TCE/RJ objectives and the profile characteristics of employees of the inspection area on personnel performance beginning with defined concepts and purposes. Questionnaires for auditors and technicians of the area were approved for this specific purpose to analyze the duties of positions and employee profiles. The second part of this study evaluates the TCE/RJ digital communication system according to theoretical reference and ISO/IEC Standard No. 9126-1, observing three dimensions: the content, usability and functionality. The results obtained, with the use of qualitative methods complemented by quantitative analysis, were positive for the implementation of telework in the inspection of personnel performance in relation to the analysts and technicians involved in this type of auditing as well as in relation to the TCE/RJ digital communication system.
