This article has as object of study the Concerto for Viola and Orquestra by Antonio Borges-Cunha. We investigated the work by observing its formal structure. This resulted in data which were relevant to the understanding of the work itself and to decisive procedures in its interpretation. These data were then applied to specific issues in the area of performance, by means of a process whereby the sensations of movement and direction were delineated. This investigation discusses interpretation and the queries regarding the paths which performers can choose in their quest for positive results in expressivity. It is a study specifically geared to the area of performance and, in a broader sense, serves composers that are interested in the performer's contribution to the creative process of a work.

A espécie vegetal Casearia sylvestris é uma planta nativa do Brasil e de uso tradicional, sendo utilizada popularmente para combate de doenças do trato digestório. Seus extratos e mesmo substâncias purificadas apresentaram diversas atividades farmacológicas, sendo a mais eficaz a ação antiulcerogênica. Neste trabalho, desenvolveram-se granulados a partir do extrato etanólico de folhas de C. sylvestris. A metodologia envolve métodos de extração de droga vegetais, granulação via úmida e ensaios de caracterização do perfil micromerítico dos granulados

Estudo e caracterização térmica da curcumina e de uma forma polimórfica

This paper was prepared a polymorphic from of curcumin a natural bioactive compound widely used in Indian medicine in the treatment of a range of illnesses. The preparation was the polymorphic crystallization process and solvent mixtures of organic solvents in order to change the dielectric constant of the solution to obtain crystals. The crystal of curcumin has been studied and characterized by absorption spectroscopic in the infrared, X-ray diffraction powder method and by thermo analytical techniques: thermogravimetry and differential therma analysis (TG-DTA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The DSC of the pure compound (MP=180,19ºC) showed some differences compared the compound crystallized (MP=176.63ºC) in a mixture of solvents thus indicating the phenomenon of polymorphism, and TG-DTA curve of the compound crystallized showed that this was not a solvatomorphic. Finnally the techniques of X-ray diffraction technique FTIR and powder showed a structural change in the compound crystallized, profile-based graphics when compared to the pure compound, which proves that the compound crystallized it is a polymorph

Introduction: The triangular index and the Poincaré plot (or Lorenz plot) are the best known indexes obtained from geometric methods. The triangular index (TINN, RRtri) represent the global variability of the subject and SD1, which reflects the parasympathetic component, SD2, index of global variability and its relationship (SD1/SD2) are obtained from the Poincaré plot. Despite the literature showing changes in the cardiovascular system during and after the resistance exercise (RE), aspects related to autonomic modulation of heart against these conditions have not been explored yet, so it is important to evaluate this behavior. Objectives: Analyze the acute effects of RE on the cardiac autonomic modulation during recovery (REC) through analysis of geometric indices of heart rate variability (HRV), applied with different intensities and muscle groups in healthy and active young. Methods: Were evaluated 24 young, 22.25 ± 2.4 years and 24.47 ± 3.08 kg/m2, underwent an experimental protocol of five stages, in the first stage was conducted a test of one maximum repetition (1RM) in upper limbs (UL) and lower limb (LL), and the following steps were initiated interventions to 40 (E) and 80% (F) of 1RM. Qual o papel da mídia na aprendizagem e desenvolvimento da criança de educação fundamental I, em idade de alfabetização: ela forma, informa, dificulta, diverte ou deseduca?

Este trabalho de conclusão de curso tem como objetivo analisar a mídia televisiva, no que diz respeito a seus interesses e programações, levando em consideração a conseqüente relação conflituosa entre esta e as crianças brasileiras, uma vez que a mídia não oferece programas de qualidade que respeitem a diversidade cultural. O trabalho analisa os conteúdos dos programas oferecidos pela mídia e compara-os com o que se propõem a Convenção da ONU realizada em 1989 Sobre os Diretos da Criança, no que diz respeito a mídia em geral. A partir de base teórica busca refletir sobre o impacto das mensagens dos programas de televisão na mente da criança e consequentemente afetando seu desenvolvimento cognitivo, moral e emocional. Sendo que percorrendo esse caminho de análise, procura-se mostrar uma possível reflexão e mudança através da educação para mídia e participação na mesma, envolvendo pais, professores, as políticas públicas e as próprias crianças.

This analysis sought to study the social history of women, education and practice of cyber-activism, which consists of the struggle for causes that benefit society as a manner of social engagement. Through thorough theoretical study it was possible to analyze the campaign, 10X10, and relate the importance of the practice of personal commitment to support causes of global interest. Thus, it is possible to ascertain the relevance of actions via the Internet, its reach, its effectiveness and method of operation, providing voice and force to altruistic causes

In this article, we examine the landscape “locus” by reading a poem in prose of Julien Gracq’s collection “Liberté grande”. Our aim is to understand how the poet uses rhetorical strategies in order to recreate or create – by means of the verb, the space around him. The term “rhetorical strategy” is used here in its broadest sense, and relates to devices that the poet uses to give iconic visibility to the space described, exploring the landscape through language and in this way unraveling a bit of  the poetic form of the world
