The process view concept deploys a partial and temporal representation to adjust the visible view of a business process according to various perception constraints of users. Process view technology is of practical use for privacy protection and authorization control in process-oriented business management. Owing to complex organizational structure, it is challenging for large companies to accurately specify the diverse perception of different users over business processes. Aiming to tackle this issue, this article presents a role-based process view model to incorporate role dependencies into process view derivation. Compared to existing process view approaches, ours particularly supports runtime updates to the process view perceivable to a user with specific view merging operations, thereby enabling the dynamic tracing of process perception. A series of rules and theorems are established to guarantee the structural consistency and validity of process view transformation. A hypothetical case is conducted to illustrate the feasibility of our approach, and a prototype is developed for the proof-of-concept purpose.

The current study of Scandinavian multinational corporate subsidiaries in the rapidly growing Eastern European market, due to their particular organizational structure, attempts to gain some new insights into processes and potential benefits of knowledge and technology transfer. This study explores how to succeed in knowledge transfer and to become more competitive, driven by the need to improve transfer of systematic knowledge for the manufacture of product and service provisions in newly entered market. The scope of current research is exactly limited to multinational corporations, which are defined as enterprises comprising entities in two or more countries, regardless of legal forms and field of activity of those entities, and which operate under a system of decision-making permitting coherent policies and a common strategy through one or more decision-making centers. The entities are linked, by ownership, and able to exercise influence over the activities of the others; and, in particular, to share the knowledge, resources, and responsibilities with others. The research question is "How and to which extent can knowledge-transfer influence a company's technological competence and economic competitiveness?" and try to find out what particular forces and factors affect the development of subsidiary competencies; what factors influence the corporate integration and use of the subsidiary's competencies; and what may increase competitiveness of MNC pursuing leading position in entered market. The empirical part of the research was based on qualitative analyses of twenty interviews conducted among employees in Scandinavian MNC subsidiary units situated in Ukraine, using structured sequence of questions with open-ended answers. The data was investigated by comparison case analyses to literature framework. Findings indicate that a technological competence developed in one subsidiary will lead to an integration of that competence with other corporate units within the MNC. Success increasingly depends upon people's learning. The local economic area is crucial for understanding competition and industrial performance, as there seems to be a clear link between the performance of subsidiaries and the conditions prevailing in their environment. The linkage between competitive advantage and company's success is mutually dependent. Observation suggests that companies can be characterized as clusters of complementary activities such as R&D, administration, marketing, manufacturing and distribution. Study identifies barriers and obstacles in technology and knowledge transfer that is relevant for the subsidiaries' competence development. The accumulated experience can be implemented in new entered market with simple procedures, and at a low cost under specific circumstances, by cloning. The main goal is focused to support company prosperity, making more profits and sustaining an increased market share by improved product quality and/or reduced production cost of the subsidiaries through cloning approach. Large cities depend heavily on their metro systems to reduce traffic congestion, which is particularly the case with Shanghai, the largest and most developed city in China. For the purposes of enhancing the possibility in quantitative risk assessment and promoting the safety management level in Shanghai metro, an adaptable metro operation incident database (MOID) is therefore presented for containing details of all incidents that have occurred in metro operation. Taking compatibility and simplicity into consideration, Microsoft Access 2010 software is used for the comprehensive and thorough design of the MOID. Based on MOID, statistical characteristics of incident, such as types, causes, time, and severity, are discovered and 24 accident precursors are identified in Shanghai metro. The processes are demonstrated to show how the MOID can be used to identify trends in the incidents that have occurred and to anticipate and prevent future accidents. In order to promote the application of MOID, an organizational structure is proposed from the four aspects of supervision, research, implementation, and manufacturer. This research would be conducive to safety risk analysis in identifying relevant precursors in safety management and assessing safety level as a qualitative tool.

The records reflect the organizational structure of the Jewish ghetto administration and consist of the following: Correspondence with German government agencies, 1939-1941, including the Police and Gestapo, the *Oberburgermeister* of Litzmannstadt (German name for Lodz), the *Gettoverwaltung* (German administration of the ghetto). The correspondence pertains to the establishment of the ghetto, expropriation of Jewish property, resettlement of Lodz Jews into the ghetto, sanitary conditions, ghetto industry, anti-Jewish ordinances. Announcements issued by Rumkowski, 1940-1944. A complete set of daily communications to the ghetto population on all subjects pertinent to ghetto life such as: confiscations of Jewish property, food rationing, availability of work, relief distribution, deportations, liquidation of the ghetto. Files of various departments of the Jewish ghetto administration including labor divisions and workshops, the Jewish police (*Ordnungsdienst*), Statistics Department, Ghetto Court, Archives, Resettlement Department, Deportation Commission. Of special interest are the Archives files which contain essays and reports written by the Archives staff expressly for the purpose of historical record on subjects related to ghetto life. Outstanding in this group are reports and literary sketches by Joseph Zelkowicz, including his extensive account about the *Gesperre* (Yid. Shpere) - the deportation of the children, the old and the infirm in September, 1942. In addition, the Archives files contain bulletins of the *Daily Chronicle* of the Lodz Ghetto, transcripts of speeches by Rumkowski, and issues of the *Geto-tsaytung*, a short-lived official publication of the Eldest of the Jews. Iconographic materials, including photographs and albums. The photographs taken by Mendel Grossman, Henryk Ross, Maliniak, Zonabend and others, provide an extensive visual record of ghetto life.

The concept of cloud computing services (CCS) is appealing to small and medium enterprises (SMEs). However, while there is a significant push by various authorities on SMEs to adopt the CCS, knowledge of the key considerations to adopt the CCS is very limited. We use the technology-organization-environment (TOE) framework to suggest that a strategic and incremental intent, understanding the organizational structure and culture, understanding the external factors, and consideration of the human resource capacity can contribute to sustainable business value from CCS. Using survey data, we find evidence of a positive association between these considerations and the CCS-related business objectives. We also find evidence of positive association between the CCS-related business objectives and CCS-related financial objectives. The results suggest that the proposed considerations can ensure sustainable business value from the CCS. This study provides guidance to SMEs on a path to adopting the CCS with the intention of a long-term commitment and achieving sustainable business value from these services.

The dissertation studies state support for artists in the context of the societal process of producing definitions of the artist. It examines the dimensions of and conditions for the power of definition inherent in the Nordic model of artists' support. The dissertation consists of a summary in Finnish and five articles published in English. The theoretical framework is based on Pierre Bourdieu's theory of the fields of cultural production and the concept of artistic classification systems introduced by Paul DiMaggio. The framework also makes use of the analyses by Per Mangset and Dag Solhjell of the relationship between Norwegian artistic fields and the state policy of supporting art. The study assumes that an examination of the formulation and content of the policy of support is insufficient, and extends the analysis to the implementation of the policy both at the level of the structures of decision making and at the level of actual decisions and their impacts. The analysis of the economic dimension of the definition power of artists' support uses register-based data on artists' financial situation. Survey data is used in studying the attitudes of Finnish artists toward state support for artists. The analysis of the Nordic policy of supporting artists uses data based on documents and interviews concerning the formulation and implementation of the policy in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. The cross-country comparison contributes to identifying the specific features of the Finnish policy of supporting artists from the point of view of its potential power of definition. The study concludes that the legitimating arguments, goals and means of the policy of supporting artists, as well as the structures and actions of the bodies implementing the policy, have an impact on the formulation of definitions of the artist. For example, a relevant factor in this context seems to be the way in which the relationship between various fields of art and the system of support is organized. According to the comparative analysis, the greater the correspondence between the administrative structures of decision making and the organizational structure of artistic fields, the greater the resistance to change regarding the artistic categories produced. By contrast, those structures of decision making which require negotiations and compromises between various interests have produced artistic categories that have been more inclined to change. The development of the Finnish system of artists' support over the past few decades can be described as a slow expansion towards new areas of art. However, the demarcations and hierarchies between various fields of art have not lost their significance, and state support for artists still concentrates on the same areas as it did when the policy of supporting artists was established. State support always contains an element of power. According to the study, the Nordic policy of supporting artists has both the material and symbolic power to participate in the production of societal definitions of the artist. The legitimating arguments, goals and means of the Finnish artists' support, as well as the criteria for granting it, strengthen the symbolic dimension of this power also in terms of the symbolic capital valued by the artistic fields. In this sense, it can be said that the state is one of the actors in the Finnish fields of art. The symbolic dimension of the definition power of artists' support is, however, in the last instance derived from the artistic fields, and reinforces on its part the definition power of these fields.

Currently completing its fifth year, the Coastal Waccamaw Stormwater Education Consortium (CWSEC) helps northeastern South Carolina communities meet National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Phase II permit requirements for Minimum Control Measure 1 - Public Education and Outreach - and Minimum Control Measure 2 - Public Involvement. Coordinated by Coastal Carolina University, six regional organizations serve as core education providers to eight coastal localities including six towns and cities and two large counties. CWSEC recently finished a needs assessment to begin the process of strategizing for the second NPDES Phase II 5-year permit cycle in order to continue to develop and implement effective, results-oriented stormwater education and outreach programs to meet federal requirements and satisfy local environmental and economic needs. From its conception in May 2004, CWSEC set out to fulfill new federal Clean Water Act requirements associated with the NPDES Phase II Stormwater Program. Six small municipal separate storm sewer systems (MS4s) located within the Myrtle Beach Urbanized Area endorsed a coordinated approach to regional stormwater education, and participated in a needs assessment resulting in a Regional Stormwater Education Strategy and a Phased Education Work Plan. In 2005, CWSEC was formally established and the CWSEC’s Coordinator was hired. The Coordinator, who is also the Environmental Educator at Coastal Carolina University’s Waccamaw Watershed Academy, organizes six regional agencies who serve as core education providers for eight coastal communities. The six regional agencies working as core education providers to the member MS4s include Clemson Public Service and Carolina Clear Program, Coastal Carolina University’s Waccamaw Watershed Academy, Murrells Inlet 2020, North Inlet-Winyah Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve’s Coastal Training and Public Education Programs, South Carolina Sea Grant Consortium, and Winyah Rivers Foundation’s Waccamaw Riverkeeper®. CWSEC’s organizational structure results in a synergy among the education providers, achieving greater productivity than if each provider worked separately. The member small MS4s include City of Conway, City of North Myrtle Beach, City of Myrtle Beach, Georgetown County, Horry County, Town of Atlantic Beach, Town of Briarcliffe Acres, and Town of Surfside Beach. Each MS4 contributes a modest annual fee toward the salary of the Coordinator and operational costs. (PDF contains 3 pages)

O Centro Cirúrgico é um serviço especializado com estrutura física e organizacional complexa, normas e rotinas rigorosas, intensa atividade técnica, aparato tecnológico que requer profissionais treinados. A pesquisa teve como objeto de estudo os fatores de riscos ocupacionais e os problemas de saúde decorrentes do trabalho, identificados pelos profissionais de enfermagem de um Centro Cirúrgico de um Hospital Universitário da cidade do Rio de Janeiro. Os objetivos foram: analisar os fatores de riscos ocupacionais que possibilitam o aparecimento de problemas de saúde nos profissionais de enfermagem do Centro Cirúrgico segundo esses trabalhadores; descrever as características sociodemográficas dos profissionais lotados no Centro Cirúrgico; levantar os fatores de risco do ambiente cirúrgico identificados pelos trabalhadores de enfermagem do Centro Cirúrgico de um Hospital Universitário; e, discutir a relação entre os riscos do ambiente de trabalho e os problemas de saúde autoreferidos por trabalhadores de enfermagem do Centro Cirúrgico. A metodologia usada foi uma pesquisa não-experimental, de natureza descritiva, com abordagem quantitativa, desenvolvida em um centro cirúrgico de um hospital universitário federal da cidade do Rio de Janeiro. A população escolhida foi composta de trabalhadores da equipe de enfermagem, lotados no mínimo há seis meses neste serviço e que aceitassem participar da pesquisa. O questionário de coleta de dados utilizado foi adaptado por Mauro dos Guias e Avaliação de riscos em indústrias de Boix e Vogel. O estudo foi submetido e aprovado pelo Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa (CEP) do Hospital Universitário em estudo, através Parecer Consubstanciado no. 287/10, protocolo no. 217/09. Os dados foram analisados através do Programa Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS), versão 13.0. Os riscos biológicos foram os mais apontados pelos trabalhadores de enfermagem, seguidos dos riscos químicos, ergonômicos e de acidentes ou mecânicos. As doenças provocadas pelo trabalho mais referidas foram o estresse, a lombalgia, as varizes, a fadiga muscular e os problemas de articulação. As doenças agravadas pelo trabalho mais citadas foram as varizes, a lombalgia, os problemas de articulação, o estresse, as lesões de coluna vertebral, os problemas digestivos e os transtornos do sono. Conclui-se que o Serviço estudado possui riscos inerentes às atividades desenvolvidas que caracterizam os problemas relacionados pelos trabalhadores, e que são passíveis de controle através da intensificação de um Programa de Prevenção de Riscos Ambientais voltado para o Centro Cirúrgico. A partir da NR 17 e a 32, pode-se consultar as diretrizes para prevenção dos riscos encontrados. Uma estratégia de reposição digna de pessoal de enfermagem é imprescindível, assim como estudo e implantação de um Programa de Prevenção de Riscos laborais aos trabalhadores do Centro Cirúrgico, e utilização do questionário aos demais membros da equipe multiprofissional.

Trata-se de um estudo que teve como objeto as incapacidades definitivas para o serviço na Marinha do Brasil com o seguinte problema de pesquisa: quais as causas das incapacidades definitivas para o serviço na Marinha do Brasil, no 1 Distrito, nos períodos de cinco e dez anos de vigência do Programa de Atenção às Doenças Profissionais (PADP)? Considerando o interesse na temática e a especificidade do objeto de estudo selecionou-se como objetivo geral: discutir as incapacidades definitivas para o serviço na Marinha do Brasil, no período de cinco e dez anos após a implantação do PADP no 1 Distrito. E, como objetivos específicos: analisar o perfil dos militares considerados incapacitados para o serviço, na área do 1 Distrito da Marinha do Brasil, no ano de 2005 e no ano de 2010; identificar as incapacidades definitivas para o serviço na Marinha do Brasil no ano de 2005 e 2010 ocorridas no 1 Distrito e; propor adequações ao PADP baseadas no resultado deste estudo. Baseou-se no modelo de pesquisa não experimental, retrospectivo e documental. Foi utilizada como técnica de trabalho a abordagem quantitativa e descritiva, através de um estudo documental dos registros de incapacidades definitivas para o serviço ocorridas no 1 Distrito da Marinha do Brasil no ano de 2005 e no ano de 2010, respectivamente 05 e 10 anos após a implantação do PADP. O local do estudo foi o Centro de Perícias Médicas da Marinha (CPMM), estrutura organizacional central do Subsistema Médico Pericial, situado no Complexo do Hospital Central da Marinha. Os dados foram coletados durante os meses de julho e agosto do ano de 2011, no Sistema Informatizado Naval de Inspeções de Saúde (SINAIS), não sendo realizado qualquer contato com os militares considerados incapacitados para o serviço, que fizeram parte deste estudo. Utilizou-se um formulário fechado para o registro dos dados que posteriormente foram digitalizados e computados por meio de análise percentual, utilizando-se o programa Microsoft Excel 2007. Posteriormente, foram demonstrados em tabelas e gráficos, sendo discutidos à luz do referencial teórico da Saúde do Trabalhador e sustentado por bases conceituais. Para melhor apresentação dos dados, estes foram organizados a partir dos seguintes temas: perfil dos militares considerados incapacitados para o serviço na Marinha do Brasil, as principais incapacidades e suas correlações com o trabalho e, propostas ao Programa de Atenção às Doenças Profissionais da Marinha. O estudo viabilizou sugestões de melhorias na aplicação do PADP, visando à redução do número de casos de incapacidades para o serviço na Marinha do Brasil.

O estudo da gestão no âmbito organizacional mostra-se significativo para o entendimento das relações que se dão nas empresas e para o desenvolvimento organizacional, o que torna imprescindível sua análise no campo de estudos das práticas gerenciais, no intuito de melhor entender como práticas de gestão mais apuradas poderão melhorar o desempenho das organizações e fazê-las, assim, atingir suas metas e resultados almejados. Uma das maneiras pelas quais o Estado procura alcançar seus resultados é por meio da implementação de Políticas Públicas. No estudo da administração, é crucial que se busque o equilíbrio das dimensões políticas, organizacionais e legais desses processos. Esta pesquisa objetiva verificar o atual sistema de gestão utilizado pelo Arsenal de Marinha do Rio de Janeiro (AMRJ), uma Organização Militar Prestadora de Serviço (OMPS), que, embora seja considerada uma OMPS industrial (OMPS-I), possui uma tríplice atribuição: manutenção de meios navais, apoio de base e construção naval. Logo, são verificados os atuais óbices na sua gestão, assim como suas potencialidades, no nível estratégico, e a aplicabilidade de ferramenta gerencial que possa subsidiar a gestão estratégica da OM. O questionamento se direciona para quais aspectos, na forma de ameaças e fraquezas, influenciam na gestão do AMRJ e quais alternativas poderiam ser propostas para otimizar a sua gestão e minimizar as disfunções encontradas? Sendo assim, para que o AMRJ possa cumprir sua missão com eficiência, efetividade, economicidade e eficácia, torna-se crucial um exame do sistema atual de sua gestão, concernente à condução de suas atividades. Trata-se de uma pesquisa exploratória e descritiva, qualitativa, dedutiva, tendo sido utilizado o método de estudo de caso com pesquisa de campo e bibliográfica. Pode-se perceber que muitas são as limitações e ameaças, entretanto são significativos os pontos fortes e as oportunidades. O que norteou a pesquisa foi a busca pela maximização do resultado global da OM. Procurando ajustar o conjunto de elementos organizacionais que compõem a estrutura do AMRJ, de modo a atingir sinergia da ação isolada, porém sob a mesma orientação estratégica, de modo a permitir um alcance da efetividade, da eficácia e maior eficiência para essa importante OM pertencente à Marinha do Brasil.

[ES]A pesar de los avances producidos en materia legislativa, la incorporación de las mujeres a los puestos de decisión de las empresas sigue siendo limitada. Son muchas las razones que explican este fenómeno. Entre las causas más citadas por la literatura cabe mencionar: los roles y la distribución irregular de las responsabilidades familiares y sus efectos en el equilibrio entre la vida profesional y familiar, los estereotipos de género y la discriminación, los sistemas de selección y evaluación sesgados, la falta de mentoring o modelos de referencia de mujeres, la exclusión de redes informales de trabajo y la estructura y los procesos organizacionales. El presente artículo tiene como objetivo sintetizar estas causas, así como ofrecer algunas soluciones que las empresas pueden adoptar en sus organizaciones para facilitar el desarrollo profesional de las mujeres.
