Asturias ha sido una regin emigrante y Amrica uno de los destinos ms buscados por muchos de los asturianos emigrantes desde tiempos de la Edad Moderna. Fruto de esas migraciones, los archivos nobiliarios asturianos albergan algunos documentos que hacen referencia explcita al territorio americano o a las estancias de asturianos en Amrica. En este trabajo se pretende dar a conocer un documento americano que hace referencia exclusiva a un territorio de Amrica, la ciudad de Cholula (Mxico) y que se conserva descontextualizado en un fondo nobiliario del occidente de Asturias. En l se hace una descripcin cuantitativa y cualitativa del nmero de nopales y su cultivo en la Cholula del siglo XVI. Se realiza tambin un anlisis de la naturaleza del documento como fuente histrica en relacin con el fondo documental en el que se custodia y se contrasta con obras contemporneas.

In 1990, Juan Antonio Ramrez made known his iconological paranoiac method to the academic world. It is a system devised to study Dals work, born of happy matrimony between the catalonian artists critical paranoiac method and the first iconographic school of Warburg and Panofsky. What, at first sight, seemed to be an extravagant methodology with little academic credibility, turned out to be, by going forward in time, an effective research method when analyzing Dalis initial works. It is no wonder that, at the beginning of XXI century, this hybridization between Dals and Panofskys methods, were regarded as a strange and nonsensical idea. Nevertheless, twenty years after, blatant examples have been noted, which endorse the advantages of this new system for iconographic study. As usual, this new contribution by Juan Antonio Ramirez to art history methodology is called upon to have a successful future survival, in forthcoming generations. This article, attempts to analyze this method, inquiring into the validity, effectiveness and practical utility.

In this paper we analyze the set of Bronze Age bone tools recovered at the archaeological site of El Portaln of Cueva Mayor in the Sierra de Atapuerca (Burgos). The Bronze Age cultural period is the best represented in the cavity and its study has forced us to unify the different excavation and stratigraphical criteria undertaken from the earliest archaeological excavations developed by J.M. Apellniz during the 70s until the excavations of the current research team (EIA) since 2000. We propose here for the first time a relationship between the initial system of beds used by Apellniz and our recent sedimentary sequence that recognizes eleven stratigraphic levels radiometrically dated from the late Upper Pleistocene to the Middle Age. Within the bone industry assemblage we recognize a large variety of utensils and ornamental elements, with native and allochthonous features, that make evident a regional as well as long distance relationships of these populations of the interior of the Iberian Peninsula during the recent Prehistory.

La llegada de forasteros a nuestro pas no era una empresa fcil de acometer en una Espaa en crisis despus de 1898, dividida polticamente entre conservadores y liberales, y con serias carencias en sus infraestructuras y transportes. La actividad comercial espaola necesitaba nuevos frentes y el turismo podra convertirse en un importante factor y motor mercantil.La bsqueda y la construccin en torno a ese objetivo comenz a partir de 1905, cuando la iniciativa pblica y privada realizaron las primeras gestiones encaminadas a este fin, y se constituyen se constituyeron sociedades-sindicatos, segn el modelo francs, para fomentar la aficin por los viajes y la recepcin de viajeros.

El presente articulo intenta determinar las razones por las que el santuario de Sant Miquel de Llria, uno de los ms importantes de la actual provincia de Valencia, se consagr al arcngel guerrero. Se estudia para ello la historia de su culto en Occidente, haciendo hincapi en aspectos como su relacin con los lugares elevados y la frecuente proximidad de sus santuarios con aquellos dedicados a la Virgen. Atenderemos tambin a aspectos fundamentales del contexto histrico, como los movimientos de renovacin espiritual medievales, la influencia del mdico y telogo Arnau de Vilanova en la Valencia de principios del siglo XIV y las profecas escatolgicas vinculadas a la llegada del Anticristo.

Information on 12 exotic plants of diverse interest for the Galician flora are presented. All of them were collected in Ribeira council (SW of the A Corua province). The total includes 8 novelties at a regional level (Aeonium haworthii, Aloe mitriformis, Brugmansia candida, Nephrolepis cordifolia, Osteospermum ecklonis, Pelargonium capitatum, Sedum mexicanum, Sparaxis tricolor), and 2 provincial novelties. In addition, information on two taxa hardly mentioned in the literature on Galician vascular flora is also included. All the cited specimens are deposited at the SANT Herbarium.

La flora pteridolgica de la provincia de Madrid y comarcas limtrofes consta de 24 gneros, 54 especies, siete subespecies, dos formas y doce hbridos. La obra posee claves para determinar rdenes, gneros, especies, subespecies y formas. Para cada taxon se indica el biotipo, tamao, ecologa, fitosociologia, pisos bioclimticos, corologa general y regional, as como la ploida y nmero de cromosomas.

The work analyse from a journalistic point of view the history radio divulgation of health during the Second Republic and the start of the Franco era. For it, printed sources of the health broadcast conferences have been analysed. The most frequently used radio genre was a combination of informative monologue and monologue opinion. Questions relating to maternal-juvenile health were the most disseminated. In general, the radio language employed responded to the needs for clarity, as well as adapting the message to the target audience. With Francoism, the political slogans were incorporated and the gender discussions were given more importance.

El litoral de Alicante ha sufrido grandes transformaciones territoriales desde las dcadas de 1960 y 1970 a raz de la actividad turstica. Uno de los servicios que necesita esta actividad, entre otros, es el abastecimiento de agua potable. En este sentido, por su papel estratgico, el suministro de agua en alta es decisivo para abastecer a los municipios turstico-residenciales. El objetivo de este estudio es conocer y analizar los diferentes sistemas de abastecimiento de agua en alta en la costa de Alicante, sus caractersticas, infraestructuras, recursos hdricos disponibles y medidas de gestin llevados a cabo. Algunas de las conclusiones extradas son el papel estratgico que ejercen en el territorio, especialmente con el agua, un recurso escaso y de vital importancia para la orla costera alicantina, sobre todo en los meses estivales.

El objetivo de este trabajo consiste en estudiar la evolucin de los destinos tursticos litorales consolidados a partir del anlisis comparado entre Balneario Cambori y Benidorm. Se trata de dos destinos localizados en contextos territoriales y tursticos diferentes, en los que se contrastan de manera emprica los indicadores de evolucin de los destinos y se vinculan las dinmicas evolutivas con el modelo territorial-turstico resultante en cada destino. El anlisis realizado permite contrastar los postulados de los modelos evolutivos clsicos (Butler, 1980) e incorporar los nuevos planteamientos de la geografa econmica evolutiva. La investigacin delimita cronolgicamente los periodos de desarrollo de ambos destinos para identificar los factores con mayor incidencia en la evolucin de los mismos. Una evolucin marcada, fundamentalmente, por la ubicacin geogrfica, la planificacin y gestin urbanoturstica a diferentes escalas, la dependencia de determinados mercados emisores y la influencia de factores macroeconmicos. Un conjunto de factores interrelacionados que dibujan trayectorias dispares para los destinos analizados.

This article demonstrates a visual study on the educational space in which the teaching of body percussion is carried out in universities. The methodological framework is chosen by the Visual Arts Based Educational Research, using the work of an artist as a conceptual and methodological model. The research remains notable (1) due to the theoretical reference to the BAPNE method, (2) due to the visual reference to the work of Isidro Blasco especially with the piece Shanghai Planet 2009 - ;(3) due to the parallelisms established between the object of study in this investigation -the spatial analysis- and the focuses of interest revealed by the art critics in relation to the work of this artist. By means of a visual speech formed with 7 photo-collages the relationship between body and educational space is visualized in the basic disposition of circular learning. The visual constructions by way of photo-collage and their aesthetic charge brings us closer to the intimacy of the educational space, in the style in which it is distributed to the students in the music classroom, the materialization of interpersonal relationships, the occupied and empty volumes.

The article, which is part of a more detailed piece of work, aims to highlight the use of the portrait on the film posters of the first Spanish poster artists before the Star-System was introduced in Spain. For this it is posed the evolution that occurs in the representation of the characters in the film poster from the second decade to the beginning of the thirties in the twentieth century, a historical period of profound influences of the artistic and advertising vanguards in our poster artists work. However, in the late twenties moving from the simple inclusion of the scene based on the picture of a film, to the chromatic and realistic representation of the stars face. These were the years when the influence of the major North American studios began to show in Spain. Nevertheless, it highlights their technical and compositional freedom and their influence on subsequent poster artists, as many of them will integrate the portraits and settings on their posters, following the guidelines of the major studios or the independent ones. But without forgetting their own personal way of painting the film stars faces on their posters.

Desde su invencin en los aos cincuenta, la poltica cultural ha sido objeto de anlisis y reflexin por parte de las ciencias sociales. No obstante, en Espaa presenta una serie de caractersticas diferenciadoras frente a las democracias occidentales europeas como consecuencia del periodo franquista. Con la recuperacin de la democracia Espaa adquiere el paradigma dominante de una poltica cultural democrtica basada en la libertad, el pluralismo y el derecho a la cultura. Sin embargo, tras dcadas de gobiernos democrticos el diagnstico de la poltica cultural en Espaa presenta rasgos de crisis sistmica, adems de los efectos de la crisis global financiera de inicios del siglo XXI. En este contexto, los autores diagnostican, aplicando la metodologa Delphi y recurriendo a fuentes secundarias, un conjunto de discursos sociales y narrativas que parecen funcionar como recursos cognitivos solucionistas en la esfera artstica y cultural y que no estn exentos de contradicciones y aporas, fruto de su contraste emprico.
