The Área de Proteção Ambiental de Jenipabu was created by Decreto 12,620/95, covering the beaches of Redinha Nova, Santa Rita and Jenipabu and Campina communities in the municipality of Extremoz, and Africa community fragment, in Natal. This protected area was created in the context of expansion of tourism in Rio Grande do Norte, in the 1990s, in which PRODETUR investments made possible the installation of infrastructure equipment, mainly in the Via Costeira and Ponta Negra beach in Natal by inserting it in the sun and sea tourism route to Northeast Brazil. In this context the beach Jenipabu in Extremoz, became one of the main attractions for those visiting Natal, due to the natural elements of its landscape, its dune field, which is offered to tourists the buggy ride. In December 1994 the excess buggy rides held in these dunes led to IBAMA ban their access to buggy for carrying out environmental study. This measure resulted in the creation of APAJ in 1995 with the goal of ordering the use and occupation to protect its ecosystems, especially the dunes, the disordered tourism. Given this context, this work aims to analyze the process of creating the APAJ and changes in the geographic space of its beaches, Redinha Nova, Santa Rita and Jenipabu, from the materialization of tourism process, as well as their implications for its residents. To this end, this paper presents a discussion of environmental currents that developed in the western portion of the globe, focusing on the need to regulate small areas of the national territory in protected areas, and an analysis of public policies that enabled the implementation tourism in APAJ as well as the laws and decrees governing the process of creation and management. Using the theory of circuits of urban economy of the Santos (2008) to analyze the territory used by tourism on the beaches of Redinha Nova, Santa Rita and Jenipabu, showing their dependent relationship with the territory used by the upper circuit on the Via Costeira and in the Ponta Negra beach and its influence on the APAJ urbanization process. Ending with the analysis of the influence of the materialization of tourism in the transformation of stocks ways of being-in-space and space-be of the Santa Rita and Jenipabu beaches in each geographical situation of APAJ among the first decades of the twentieth century to the 2014. Fieldwork was conducted between 2012 and 2014, performing actions of qualitative interviews with older residents of Santa Rita and Jenipabu beaches, interviews with structured questionnaire with merchants of APAJ and collecting GPS points trades, identifying and mapping the territory used by the lower circuit in APAJ beaches.

The thematization of public space in the ―Maior São João do Mundo‖ in Campina Grande - PB stimulates the economy and the local tourism from the transformation of a common public space in a setting that has the traditional June festivals based. To do so, contributes to promotion of existing creative sectors in the city and the design of a new city that is projected from the festivities of São João. In this research we propose to determine the influence of the thematization of public space in the local economy, particularly in creative sectors present in the ―Maior São João do Mundo‖ and assess their importance for the development of local creative economy. We chose the case study, from an ethnographic approach, using different research techniques such as participant observation, semi-structured interviews with open questions and the analysis of social representations of respondents. The methodology used is mixed because it involves qualitative and quantitative data. We could notice at the end of this research, the thematization of public space in the ―Maior São João do Mundo‖ is the main reference factor for the event, stimulating the local economy and changing the city's image in three levels: political, economic and social. Also realize that the thematization of public space is the key binding factor between the creative sectors as well as between them and the related activities. All these sectors serve as a link between the products and services, creating a harmonic whole that transforms the city's image, stimulates the economy, promotes social inclusion, cultural integration and keeps the ―Maior São João do Mundo‖ as a traditional event in the tourist calendar regional and national.

O tema deste estudo visa pesquisar o papel e atuação das Organizações Não Governamentais - ONGs, terceiro setor do turismo, no estado do Rio Grande do Norte - RN, identificando a atuação e participação no turismo, para, assim, elencar suas contribuições e benefícios para as populações locais, para o usuário dos serviços e para o incremento da economia no Estado. Analisando as que atuam no turismo do Rio Grande do Norte, procurou-se identificar suas contribuições, características e estruturas, descrever as suas formas de atuação e os respectivos resultados e influências. Buscou-se verificar se a organização atua na área de turismo e local adequado para o desenvolvimento das atividades turísticas nos seus projetos, na gestão administrativa e operacional. Para tal, utilizamos a teoria do livro “Análise Estrutural do Turismo” (Beni), bem como o Modelo Referencial do Sistema de Turismo (SISTUR). Avaliando se o tempo em que essa instituição atua na área propiciará às pessoas, de acordo com seus perfis, assimilarem conhecimento como gestoras no processo dos projetos. Observamos como funciona a Gestão de ONGs, a fim de identificarmos se as ONGs trabalham adequadamente as funções gerenciais. Se há envolvimento da organização nos projetos e nas suas fases de processo, assim como, sua importância e dificuldades encontradas na relação estabelecida entre as ONGs e a sociedade. A partir disso, poderemos identificar o envolvimento da comunidade que se beneficia.

Globalization, the enormous speed of information exchange, technology updated in a speed never before and the growth of the cultural industry places us in a new reality in which we must adapt ourselves puting issues concerning to culture and technology at the center of development discussions. The Creative Economy, therefore, is inserted in this dicussion bringing these new elements to the center of the debate. The development potential of this new economy are real in Natal / RN, from, especially their link withim tourism. Thus, the intention of the work is to answer the questions: What is the weight of the creative economy in Natal? What are the issues that accelerate or hinder their development? To answer these questions we mapping the creative sectors on Natal’s economy, stressing labor and income figures, exercise already done by national and international organizations. The issues that connect the Creative Economy to education, R & D, cultural policy and tourism is also discussed. The review of the indicators related to these topics will be used to explain how they are configured as obstacle for the development of the creative economy in Natal/RN.

Enquadramento: O presente projeto de investigação surge num contexto onde as tecnologias estão cada vez mais enraizadas nas sociedades e onde a web se tornou no canal preferido de distribuição para uma boa parte das Organizações de Gestão de Destinos (OGDs) e dos consumidores finais (Butler, 2002; Gretzel, Yuan, & Fesenmaier, 2000; Kramer, Modsching, ten Hagen, & Gretzel, 2007). As novas Tecnologias da Informação e Comunicação (TICs) afiguram-se, assim, como uma das áreas mais críticas para o sucesso do turismo, no presente e no futuro, sendo vitais para a forma como se promovem os destinos turísticos (Machado & Almeida, 2010). Descrição: Pretende-se apresentar uma proposta extensiva de desenvolvimento de um Sistema de Gestão de Destinos (SGD), de âmbito regional, devidamente orçada e economicamente viável, para ajudar as OGDs na gestão, promoção e distribuição holística do destino turístico Portugal. Objetivos: Desenvolvimento sustentável e integrado dos destinos turísticos portugueses, a nível regional; aposta nos canais digitais como forma de adaptação às novas tendências de mercado no setor do turismo; envolvimento de todos os stakeholders no projeto (entidades públicas e privadas), por forma a aumentar os índices de coesão nos destinos turísticos; satisfação das necessidades de planeamento e de reserva dos potenciais turistas/visitantes; e incremento da qualidade geral da experiência turística no destino Portugal. Investigação Empírica: Parte 1 – Realização de um estudo Delphi, com a participação de um painel de 12 especialistas nas áreas do turismo e das TICs, para aferição e hierarquização das principais barreiras à adoção de SGDs; Parte 2 – Estudo avaliativo da eficácia dos websites oficiais das 5 Entidades Regionais de Turismo (ERTs) portuguesas, por intermédio do modelo adaptado de ICTRT (na versão de Charoula et al., 2014), aplicado por um avaliador externo recrutado para o efeito. Resultados e Conclusões: Identificaram-se e hierarquizaram-se 55 barreiras à adoção de SGDs, para a realidade portuguesa; apresentaram-se e escrutinaram-se os índices de eficácia dos websites oficiais das 5 ERTs em Portugal; e apresentou-se uma proposta de desenvolvimento de um SGD devidamente orçada e economicamente viável. No final, discutiram-se os principais resultados, teceram-se considerações gerais sobre o projeto e enunciaram-se as principais limitações e possíveis futuras linhas de investigação.

To implement policies and plans at the tourist sector involve disposition to the establishment of parceries among government and private initiative, space to the action of studious, researchers and professionals of several areas of knowledge and formation, able of to give new courses no only at the tourism, but to the economy how a every, seen which the tourism had a effect multiplicator, reaching 52 sectors of the economy. At this sense, the Brazil came pruning for a new phase of politic actuation at the touristy activity. Until the year 2002, the tourism politic in the Brazil no had detail, because herself treated of isolated actions and many without continuity. However, at to start 2003, several actions were developed in order to contribute for the national touristy planning. The principal was the creation of Ministério do Turismo, accompanied of the formulation and implementation of the Plano Nacional do Turismo (2003/2007). This work pretend to understand the implementation at the Rio Grande do Norte of the model of participative administration extolled by Plano Nacional do Turismo. The your centre detail the action of the Conselho Estadual de Turismo do Rio Grande do Norte (CONETUR), to promote the participation at the tourism public policies. The bibliographical research contemplated diverse sources in order to compile knowledge of credential authors in the quarrel of inherent subjects to the participation and to the tourism public policies, especially at the Brazil. A qualitative perspective the case study was adapted as research method and for attainment of the data interviews with the members of the Conselho had been carried through beyond consultation the referring documents the dynamics of functioning of the Conselho. The principal actuations of the CONETUR, the directives tourism public policies already made and directed to implementation, the type of participation at made decision, the principal difficulties of the implementation of the participative administration model of the Plano Nacional do Turismo and the degree of participation of the members of the Conselho at the reunions had been identified. The results had shown that exist some difficulties at the implementation of the participation at the Conselho Estadual de Turismo do Rio Grande do Norte, knowledge of the Conselheiros of CONETUR function, the presence of bodies which doesn t directly connected at the touristy activity; the absence of time of the Conselheiros to be presents at reunions; the discontinuity of the presidency of the Conselho; among others. So, the CONETUR show himself how a Conselho with participative characteristics, but with some adapted needs.

Given the uncertainties of the environment in today's world, strategic planning is again discussed as an important tool to position the organization in future likely. To address this a more dynamic and less linear, trying to adapt the multiple realities, the method of scenarios can be one of the strategies to anticipate future designs. In the public sphere, an efficient implementation of human resources and financial managers require a new approach to the formulation of strategies. Tourism, in turn, presents itself as an important segment of the national economy shaped up as a major source of funds for the formation of the Gross Domestic Product - GDP - of states and municipalities. This study aims to know the guidelines and perspectives of municipal planning of tourism in the city of Natal/RN from the case by the representatives of the sector. The survey was developed based on a qualitative, exploratory, based on the case in the Secretaria Municipal de Turismo e Desenvolvimento Econômico - SETURDE. The results express that the body goes through a time of changes in its organizational structure and in defining its role with the local tourism. The national plan for tourism and the choice of Christmas as the host city for the World Cup in 2014 have stimulated interest in developing a formal strategic planning in the organization. However, when it comes to more complex tools, such as the method of future scenarios, the technical know its definition and importance for future actions. The results presented support the conclusion that the actions are designed intuitively and without complying with the scientific methods developed for this purpose, as the method of strategic scenarios. However, the evidence beginning to emerge from the plans and documents issued by the federal government, as well as the Secretary's own initiative, direct the actions of the body to coordinate and act as a fulcrum for local action to the increase in tourism

Considering that urban interventions, planned and executed recently at Natal, RN, should put Ribeira - one of the town centers - in the new limits of the expanded center of the city, this work examines the use of this new accessibility for the benefit of the development of an infrastructure to support a type of tourism currently seen as an alternative to diversification into areas dominated by entertainment tourism (the case of Natal). A local with city's traditional cultural facilities and holder of a set built that is a synthesis of the images of the neighborhood, it fears that this increase in the potential for movement and flows of use stimulate speculation and deployment of a bulk type of activity incompatible with the preservation the architectural heritage. Important economy for the city, tourism has been showing a factor propellant processing urban related changes in accessibility. It is argued that cultural tourism, often used in plans and projects of revitalization across the country, may be factor for sustainable development and conserve the assets, and contributes to the process of revitalization of the historic cultural center as Ribeira. Intended to illustrate the need to consider other information that might help in the revitalization of the neighborhood, this research presents the offer cultural tourism of Ribeira and identifies and maps certain physical attributes that, combined with functional attributes, can stimulate or inhibit the diversity and vitality in the region

Atualmente, os “novos turistas” são utilizadores experientes das novas tecnologias e estão predispostos e motivados para praticar um tipo de turismo diferente, especialmente no que diz respeito ao planeamento das suas viagens para obter novas experiências. O presente estudo tem como objetivo analisar, através de uma revisão da literatura, um potencial segmento de turismo designado de Turismo Místico, com o propósito de criar um website de oferta de experiências turísticas em Portugal com carater inovador e sentimental. O Website foi desenvolvido e testado numa fase beta através de um questionário adaptado do Modelo WebQual de Loiacono. Os resultados obtidos, além de permitirem a avaliação da perceção da qualidade do Website, também indicam formas de melhorar ou adaptar o produto final aos objetivos planeados. A principal conclusão destaca o fator entretenimento como o mais importante na perceção da qualidade do Website e na intenção decisiva de revisita do mesmo. A era do marketing digital criou um consumidor mais proativo, o prosumidor, que participa no processo de desenvolvimento de produtos e serviços.

O turismo tem sido e prevê-se que continuará a ser um dos fenómenos que mais contribui para a economia de uma nação. Também, o desporto ao longo dos anos tem tido um papel importante na sociedade que se manifesta em diferentes perspetivas, ao nível cultural, económico e social. Nesta linha e como catalisador de sinergias entre o turismo e o desporto surge o turismo desportivo, como sendo um único fenómeno social, económico e cultural que decorre da interação das atividades, pessoas e locais. O turismo desportivo, nos últimos anos, tem tido o seu reconhecimento como uma fonte que gera riqueza dando suporte ao desenvolvimento económico dos locais, regiões e até mesmo dos países onde se realizam os eventos desportivos. De salientar que o Turismo Desportivo tem sido visto como uma oportunidade que permite combater a sazonalidade e os impactos negativos do turismo em massa. Neste sentido, com o presente trabalho pretendeu-se analisar a importância das provas da meia maratona e maratona, realizadas na cidade do Porto em 2015, para o desenvolvimento turístico, na perspetiva dos visitantes desportistas, uma vez que os eventos desportivos têm sido considerados uma forma de assegurar o desenvolvimento sustentável de uma região/local. Tendo por base a informação recolhida e os resultados obtidos, quanto ao perfil dos inquiridos que participaram, em ambas as provas, pode dizer-se que são do sexo masculino, o grupo etário com idades compreendidas entre os 41 e 51 anos tem a maior percentagem de participantes, a maioria são casados e portugueses e maioritariamente residem no Grande Porto. Apurou-se ainda a estimativa do gasto médio por inscritos atendendo às provas e nacionalidade. No que diz respeito aos portugueses, estes fazem mais despesas no decurso da prova da Meia Maratona gastando cerca de 530 mil euros e os estrangeiros na prova da Maratona despendendo um valor estimado de 634 mil euros. Globalmente, atendendo às provas principais e associadas, são os portugueses que apresentam um gasto estimado mais elevado cerca de 1.755.570,65€, e os estrangeiros 1.436.159,14€. No global o valor estimado despendido, para o total das provas, para os participantes desportistas, ascende a 3.191.730€. Os valores apresentados não incluem as despesas com a inscrição dos participantes nas provas. Os valores indiciaram, também, para a existência de impactos económicos positivos decorrentes da organização e realização das provas e demonstraram que estas podem constituir uma ferramenta para impulsionar a economia local e regional. Também se concluiu que as provas da Meia Maratona e Maratona foram consideradas importantes para o desenvolvimento turístico da Região do Grande Porto, os inquiridos encontram-se globalmente satisfeitos com as provas e pretendem regressar em próximas edições, existe uma relação forte, positiva e direta entre a satisfação global e a intenção de participar em edições futuras das provas.
