Three short-chain neurotoxins named NT-I, NT-II, and NT-III were purified from the venom of Naja kaouthia, a snake distributed throughout the south of Yunnan province, China, by a series of chromatographic steps, including an FPLC Resource S column. Their molecular weights, determined by matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization time-of-flight (MALDI-TOF) MS, were 6952.19 Da, 6854.92 Da, and 6828.80 Da, respectively. NT-I consisted of 62 amino acid residues, and the other two consisted of 61 amino acid residues, including 8 cysteines. After hydrolysis by endoproteinase Glu-C, their primary sequences were determined. A test of their activities demonstrated that they effectively inhibited muscle contractions induced by electric stimulation. Furthermore, the extent of inhibition caused by NT-II and NT-III was less than that of NT-I. The IC(50)s were 0.04 mug/ml, 0.20 mug/ml, and 0.23 mug/ml for NT-I, NT-II, and NT-III, respectively. Compared with NT-II and NT-III, the higher activity of NT-I may be a result of the amino acid residue substitution Ile36 to Arg36.

The learning strategy involved pre- and post-course assessment as well as 4-6 month follow up at outcome level to assess improves EAFM practices. The report outlines methodology details of content and the daily feedback process.

On page OP 175, U. Steiner and co-workers destabilise polymer trilayer films using an electric field to generate separated micrometre-sized core-shell pillars, which are further modified by selective polymer dissolution to yield polymer core columns surrounded by a rim and micro-volcano rim structures. When coated with gold and decorated with Raman active probes, all three structure types give rise to substantial enhancement in surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS). Since this SERS enhancement arises from each of the isolated structures in the array, these surface patterns are an ideal platform for multiplexed SERS detection.

利用LBO晶体对Nd:YAG ns激光器进行了腔外倍频实验研究,实验中LBO晶体采用I类非临界相位匹配(NCPM),温度调谐,将倍频转换效率和温度调谐的理论值与实验数据进行了对比,实验结果基本与理论值相符,当基频光的单脉冲能量为1.3J时,获得了840mJ的532nm倍频绿光输出,最高转换效率达到65%,倍频光能量不稳定度小于±3%

本研究针对多晶硅p-n结光伏器件开展工作。基于倾斜光电转换器件的思想,倾斜本研究采用的光电转换器件使入射光线与器件表面法线成75度的夹角,从而使红外光在器件内形成多次全反射。这种内部全反射增加了光在器件内的光程,使得光在器件内的吸收得以增加。从采光的角度上发现,倾斜多晶硅光电转换器件可使器件的光电转换效率提高15%。此外,还发现了由倾斜器件造成开路电压稍微减小的现象并给予了解释。
