In this article, the ZnO quantum dots-SiO2 (Z-S) nanocomposite particles were first synthesized. Transparent Z-S/epoxy super-nanocomposites were then prepared by introducing calcined Z-S nanocomposite particles with a proper ratio of ZnO to SiO2 into a transparent epoxy matrix in terms of the filler-matrix refractive index matching principle. It was shown that the epoxy super-nanocomposites displayed intense luminescence with broad emission spectra. Moreover, the epoxy super-nanocomposites showed the interesting afterglow phenomenon with a long phosphorescence lifetime that was not observed for ZnO-QDs/epoxy nanocomposites. Finally, the transparent and light-emitting Z-S/epoxy super-nanocomposites were successfully employed as encapsulating materials for synthesis of highly bright LED lamps.

This work investigated analytically the band structure of photonic crystals (PCs) with alternate layers of left and right-handed materials in one-dimension. It was found that, under certain conditions, new peculiar band structures not seen in all right-handed material PCs appeared. We transformed the analytic dispersion relation into two cosine terms, and obtained an interesting band structure using the new form of dispersion equation. Correlations between Si nanocrystal (nc-Si) related photoluminescence (PL), Er3+ emission and nonradiative defects in the Er-doped SiO2 films containing nc-Si (SRSO) are studied. Upon 514.5 nm laser excitation the erbium-doped SRSO samples exhibit PL peaks at around 0.8 and 1.54 mum, which can be assigned to the electron-hole recombination in nc-Si and the intra-4f transition in Er3+, respectively. With increasing Er3+ content in the films, Er3+ emission becomes intense while the PL at 0.8 mum decreases, suggesting a strong coupling of nc-Si and Er 31 ions. Hydrogen plasma treatment for the samples improve the PL intensities of the 0.8 and 1.54 mum bands, indicating H passivation for the nonradiative defects existing in the samples. Further-more, from the effect of hydrogen treatment for the samples, we observe variation of the number of nonradiative defects with annealing temperatures. (C) 2003 Elsevier Science B.V. PL properties of Er3+ doped SiOx films containing Si nanoparticles have been studied. Er3+ emission intensity does not depend strongly upon crystallinity of Si clusters. The films can yield efficient Er3+ emission.

The mobility of channel electron, for partially depleted Sol nMOSFET in this paper, decreases with the increase of implanted fluorine dose in buried oxide layer. But, the experimental results also show that it is larger for the transistor corresponding to the lowest implantation dose than no implanted fluorine in buried layer. It is explained in tern-is of a "lubricant" model. Mien fluorine atoms are implanted in the top silicon layer, the mobility is the largest. In addition, a positive shift of threshold voltage has also been observed for the transistors fabricated on the Sol wafers processed by the implantation of fluorine. The causes of all the above results are discussed.

Charge trapping in the fluorinated SIMOX buried oxides before and after ionizing radiation has been investigated by means of C-V characteristics. Radiation-induced positive charge trapping which results in negative shift of C-V curves can be restrained by implanting fluorine ions into the SIMOX buried oxides. Pre-radiation charge trapping is suppressed in the fluorinated buried oxides. The fluorine dose and post-implantation anneal time play a very important role in the control of charge trapping.

The hydrolysis/precipitation behaviors of Al3+, Al-13 and Al-30 under conditions typical for flocculation in water treatment were investigated by studying the particulates' size development, charge characteristics, chemical species and speciation transformation of coagulant hydrolysis precipitates. The optimal pH conditions for hydrolysis precipitates formation for AlCl3, PAC(A113) and PAC(A130) were 6.5-7.5, 8.5-9.5, and 7.5-9.5, respectively. The precipitates' formation rate increased with the increase in dosage, and the relative rates were AlCl3 >> PAC(A130) > PACA113. The precipitates' size increased when the dosage increased from 50 mu M to 200 mu M, but it decreased when the dosage increased to 800 AM. The Zeta potential of coagulant hydrolysis precipitates decreased with the increase in pH for the three coagulants. The isoelectric points of the freshly formed precipitates for AlCl3, PAC(A113) and PAC(A130) were 7.3, 9.6 and 9.2, respectively. The Zeta potentials of AlCl3 hydrolysis precipitates were lower than those of PAC(A113) and PAC(A130) when pH > 5.0. The Zeta potential of PAC(A130) hydrolysis precipitates was higher than that of PACA113 at the acidic side, but lower at the alkaline side. The dosage had no obvious effect on the Zeta potential of hydrolysis precipitates under fixed pH conditions. The increase in Zeta potential with the increase in dosage under uncontrolled pH conditions was due to the pH depression caused by coagulant addition. Al-Ferron research indicated that the hydrolysis precipitates of AlCl3 were composed of amorphous AI(OH)3 precipitates, but those of PACA113 and PACA130 were composed of aggregates of Al-13 and Al-30, respectively. Al3+ was the most un-stable species in coagulants, and its hydrolysis was remarkably influenced by solution pH. Al-13 and Al-30 species were very stable, and solution pH and aging had little effect on the chemical species of their hydrolysis products. The research method involving coagulant hydrolysis precipitates based on Al-Ferron reaction kinetics was studied in detail. The Al species classification based on complex reaction kinetic of hydrolysis precipitates and Ferron reagent was different from that measured in a conventional coagulant assay using the Al--Ferron method. The chemical composition of Al-a, Al-b and Al-c depended on coagulant and solution pH. The Al-b measured in the current case was different from Keggin Al-13, and the high Alb content in the AlCl3 hydrolysis precipitates could not used as testimony that most of the Al3+ Was converted to highly charged Al-13 species during AlCl3 coagulation.

The acid-base stabilities of Al-13 and Al-30 in polyaluminum coagulants during aging and after dosing into water were studied systematically using batch and flow-through acid-base titration experiments. The acid decomposition rates of both Al-13 and Al-30 increase rapidly with the decrease in solution pH. The acid decompositions of Al-13 and Al-30 with respect to H+ concentration are composed of two parallel first-order and second-order reactions, and the reaction orders are 1.169 and 1.005, respectively. The acid decomposition rates of Al-13 and Al-30 increase slightly when the temperature increases from 20 to ca. 35 A degrees C, but decrease when the temperature increases further. Al-30 is more stable than Al-13 in acidic solution, and the stability difference increases as the pH decreases. Al-30 is more possible to become the dominant species in polyaluminum coagulants than Al-13. The acid catalyzed decomposition and followed by recrystallization to form bayerite is one of the main processes that are responsible for the decrease of Al-13 and Al-30 in polyaluminum coagulants during storage. The deprotonation and polymerization of Al-13 and Al-30 depend on solution pH. The hydrolysis products are positively charged, and consist mainly of repeated Al-13 and Al-30 units rather than amorphous Al(OH)(3) precipitates. Al-30 is less stable than Al-13 upon alkaline hydrolysis. Al-13 is stable at pH < 5.9, while Al-30 lose one proton at the pH 4.6-5.75. Al-13 and Al-30 lose respective 5 and 10 protons and form [Al-13] (n) and [Al-30] (n) clusters within the pH region of 5.9-6.25 and 5.75-6.65, respectively. This indicates that Al-30 is easier to aggregate than Al-13 at the acidic side, but [Al-13] (n) is much easier to convert to Alsol-gel than [Al-30] (n) . Al-30 possesses better characteristics than Al-13 when used as coagulant because the hydrolysis products of Al-30 possess higher charges than that of Al-13, and [Al-30] (n) clusters exist within a wider pH range.

A new method, a molecular thermodynamic model based on statistical mechanics, is employed to predict the hydrate dissociation conditions for binary gas mixtures with carbon dioxide, hydrogen, hydrogen sulfide, nitrogen, and hydrocarbons in the presence of aqueous solutions. The statistical associating fluid theory (SAFT) equation of state is employed to characterize the vapor and liquid phases and the statistical model of van der Waals and Platteeuw for the hydrate phase. The predictions of the proposed model were found to be in satisfactory to excellent agreement with the experimental data.

本文合成了几种多氟β-二酮配合物,并将其引入无机/有机杂化基质及中孔分子筛材料中,从而制备了发光性能良好的杂化材料。选用新型的多氟β-二酮作为有机配体,合成了几种衫、试配合物,通过IR、1H NMR等手段证实了配合物的生成,并研究了其发光性质。首次得到了以4,4,5,5,6,6,6-七氟-1-2-噻吩基)-1-已二酮(HTH)为配体的衫的配合物单晶(Sm(HT)3Phen),解析了其结构,结果表明其配位多面体为三角十二面体。将多氟三元配合物Tb(Tfacac)3phen通过溶胶一凝胶过程掺杂到γ-缩水甘油丙基醚三甲氧基硅烷(GPTMS)改性的有机/无机杂化基质中,制备了有机/无机杂化发光块状材料一及其薄膜材料;研究了稀土配合物在未改性基质和改性基质中的发光性质,以及不同基质对发光性能的影响,结果发现该杂化材料最大激发峰位相对于纯配合物发生了蓝移,且激发谱带变窄;考察了两种基质中配合物掺杂浓度对杂化材料的发光强度的影响,结果表明。稀土配合物在改性基质中比在未改性基质中掺杂浓度提高了。比较了粉末材料与相应薄膜的发光性能,发现薄膜材料巴的发光强度和荧光寿命有所降低,表明材料的不同状态对其发光性能有一定的影响。制备了中孔分子筛MCM-41及GPTMS、TMSPMC改性的有机/无机杂化中孔材料。回时成功地将稀土配合物Sm(HTH)3Phen、Tb(Tfacac)3Phen组装到MCM-41及两种改性的MCM-41中,合成了担载新型稀土有机配合物的无机-有机杂化中孔发光材料。通过对稀土配合物及其在分子筛中的荧光光谱分析,发现激发光谱发生了蓝移;而且不同的改性剂对不同的稀土配合物的影响不同。并制得了发光色纯度较高的稀土-TMSPMC-MCM-41复合发光体。

生物降解脂肪族聚酷如聚乙交醋(PGA)、聚丙交醋(PLA)、聚。一己内酷(PCL)以及它们的共聚物由于具有良好的生物相容性和生物降解性而在外科手术缝合线、组织工程、药物控制释放、骨固定等领域得到很多应用。但是,它们自身缺乏功能基团,亲水性差,因而在应用上受到很大限制。因此,含有功能侧基生物降解聚合物的制备在过去十年中受到大家极大的关注。功能基团的引入对于调节聚合物的性能如:亲水性、生物降解性和药物的渗透性等非常重要。需要特别指出的是,功能基团的引入为把药物和其它生物活性物质与聚合物结合进而扩大聚合物的应用范围提供了机会。本文合成了几个功能化单体并且通过共聚的方法制备了几种新型的两亲性功能化聚合物。这些改性后的聚合物可以通过化学键接上药物或者其它生物活性物质,有望作为靶向控释药物载体和智能化的组织工程支架材料。具体的研究结果如下:1.以2,2-二羟甲基丙酸节酷为功能单体,通过两步法成功合成了一系列新的带功能基团的聚酷酞胺,并通过1H NMR和FTIR对聚合物的化学结构进行了表征,DSC结果表明所合成的聚酯酰胺的Tm和Tg分别在150℃和0℃左右;2.合成了功能化的环状单体(35)-3-[(苄氧羰基)乙基」吗啉-2,5-二酮(BEMD),并以PEG作为引发剂,Sn(Oct)2作为催化剂,通过L一LA和BEMD的开环共聚合得到共聚物PLGBG-PEG-PLGBG;随后用10%铭碳催化氢化得到带有侧梭基的两亲性嵌段共聚物PLGG-PEG-PLGG和其它两亲性嵌段共聚物一样,PLGG-PEG-PLGG在水溶液中能够自组装成胶束,用花作为荧光探针,通过荧光光谱法研究了其形成胶束的过程并测定了它们的临界胶束浓度,发现在总的分子量大致相当的情况下,PLGG-PEG4600-PLGG比PLGG-PEG2000-PLGG有较高的临界胶束浓度;场发射电子显微镜表征结果显示胶束具有均一的球形特征,动态光散射结果表明该胶束具有较窄的单峰粒径分布;蛋白酶K溶液中的降解研究表明带有侧梭基的PLGG-PEG-PLGG比PLA具有更快的降解速率;人胚关节软骨细胞培养结果表明所合成的聚合物PLGG-PEG-PLGG显示出较好的细胞相容性。3.在缩合剂DCC和催化剂DMAP存在下,带有侧梭基的两亲性嵌段共聚物PLGOPEG-PLGG和紫杉醇发生缩合反应得到两亲性嵌段共聚物一紫杉醇键合药P(LGG-paclitaxel)-PEG-P(LGG-paclitaxel)。它具有两亲性嵌段共聚物的性质,能够自组装成胶束,场发射电子显微镜表征结果表明胶束具有均一的球形特征,动态光散射结果表明该胶束具有较窄的粒径分布,平均粒径为119.4nm。该胶束的药物释放具有pH敏感性,酸性环境中比生理环境中(pH=7.4)具有较快的释放速率。P(LGG-Paclitaxel)-PEG-P(LGG-paclitaxel)胶束的壳层由良好亲水性的PEG组成,避免了胶束纳米粒子在血液循环中被人体网状内皮系统吞噬,保证有充足的时间通过EPR效应在肿瘤部位聚集,进而通过细胞内吞进入细胞并在细胞内的酸性环境中释放药物,进一步的研究工作有待深入进行。4.合成了功能化的环状碳酸酷单体MBC,以MPEG作为引发剂,ZnEt2作为催化剂,LLA和MBC发生开环共聚合,以较高的转化率,得到高分子量共聚物MPEG-b-P(LA-co-MBC)。13C NMR表明LLA和确c发生了无规共聚合;DSC征结果表明MPEG-b-P(LA-co-MBC)为无定型态聚合物,Tg在20-50℃之间,随着MBc含量的增加而降低;MPEG-b-P(LA-co-MBC)脱保护后得到带侧梭基的MPEG-b-P(LA-co-MCC),它的Tg明显提高,可能是聚合物侧梭基之间强的氢键作用力以及梭基对水解反应的催化作用造成的;脱保护前后的共聚物在蛋白酶K溶液中的降解研究表明,MPEG-b-P(LA-co-MCC)的降解速率大于MPEG-b-P(LA-co-MBC)的降解速率;人胚关节软骨细胞培养结果表明,所合成的MPEG-b-P(LA-co-MCC)是一种具有良好生物相容性的新型生物降解材料。5.利用本实验室开发的一种新型有机氨锯引发剂Sr-PO在温和的条件下通过顺序加料聚合的方法合成了新的嵌段共聚物PCL-b-PMBC。WAXD结果表明 PCL-b-PMBc中PCL的衍射峰均可观察到,只是衍射峰的强度随着PMBC含量的增加而减弱。DSC结果表明PCL-b-PMBC中PCL的Tm在57到52℃之间,并且随着PMBC含量的增加而降低。PCL-b-PMBC的玻璃化转变在-41.6 到-23.3℃之间,随着PMBC含量的增加而增加,这表明PMBC和PCL之间 有着强的相互作用,尽管两段不是完全相容的。PCL-b-PMBC的侧节醋在10%把碳催化下氢化还原为带侧梭基的PCL-b-PMCC后,衍射峰和结晶焙大大降低,说明侧梭基的存在使得分子链间有着强的氢键相互作用而不利于结晶。由以上分析可知,PCL-b-PMCC侧梭基的存在将会使共聚物的降解速度大大提高,而且因为功能梭基的存在可以使共聚物通过化学键连接上药物、短肤、寡糖或者其它生物活性物质,从而扩大该聚合物在生物医学领域的应用范围。

本文概括地介绍了高分子液晶的发展史的分类、合成方法、性能、高分子液晶的结构与性能的关系、二羟基二苯酮型液晶共聚酯、液晶聚酰亚胺、固相后聚合、高分子液晶共混物、以及高分子液晶及其原位复合材料的应用。以4,4'-二羟基二苯酮为单体之一,利用直接熔融缩聚和界面缩聚等方法合成了一系列的热致液晶共聚酯和聚酯酰亚胺。采用示差扫描热分析法,广角X-射线衍射法,偏光显微镜,红外光谱,电子显微镜,流变仪,力学性能测试仪等对聚合物进行表征。
