Política de Saúde em Comunidade Indígena na Metrópole Paulista

A existência de índios em cidades como São Paulo, Campo Grande, Manaus, Belém, dentre outras, cada vez se torna mais evidente, com implicações que provocam dificuldades sociais, econômicas, saúde dentre outros agravantes. Em função desta realidade, os órgãos públicos envolvidos na Política Nacional Indígena do Brasil reconhecem esta população como índios urbanos. É o que ocorre com as comunidades existentes na região metropolitana de São Paulo. Reconhece-se a existência de quatro aldeias indígenas, três delas é Tupi-Guarani e a outra é da etnia Pankararu. O presente trabalho surgiu da discussão das dificuldades de sobrevivência das comunidades indígenas da região metropolitana de São Paulo e da resolução de seus problemas de saúde. Para esta reflexão, foi preciso inserir o tema numa análise mais ampla da Política Nacional de Saúde Indígena como parte integrante da Política Nacional de Saúde brasileira. A partir dos questionamentos tecidos e discutidos temos como objetivo principal a saúde coletiva da população indígena no traçar de seu perfil epidemiológico e demográfico e a caracterização de sua vivência cotidiana e condição de saúde do índio urbano. Tomamos como procedimento metodológico o uso de fontes orais, uma que é capaz de traduzir com uma maior confiabilidade o cotidiano dos indivíduos e de sua comunidade... A política educacional do PT na Prefeitura Municipal de São Paulo (1989-1992): formulação e institucionalização

It was investigated how the conceptions of PT for the educational area defended in national meetings of the party have configured as policies in the City Hall of São Paulo during 1989-1992. It was made an analysis of official documents and measures adopted by the Municipal Education Secretariat. Then, it could be concluded that the priorities of implementation of the PT proposal entitled popular public school were based on four categories: Democratization of Management; New Quality of Teaching; Movement of Adult and Youth Literacy (MOVA) and Democratization Access.

Entre vanguarda e a participação: a democracia no programa político da esquerda brasileira (1930-1935)

This paper examines the conceptions of democracy in the Brazilian left among 1930-1935, in particular those expressed in the manifestos of the National Liberative Alliance (ANL) and the texts written by Luis Carlos Prestes, Virgínio Santa Rosa and Caio Prado Jr. I argue that the Brazilian left started from a common troubled field, according to which land concentration represented the biggest obstacle to genuine political expression of the Brazilian people. Despite the convergence towards land reform, designed as a sine qua non condition to democracy in Brazil, the left has developed two different answers to the practical implementation of the principle of the people's government: the first, which I call altruist vanguard, which is more emphasized on texts of Virgínio Santa Rosa and Luís Carlos Prestes, and the second, the Republican participacionismo, which is explored on the writings of Caio Prado Jr. and ambiguously in the manifests of the National Liberative Alliance.

A lousa digital interativa no ensino fundamental: um estudo de caso de uma escola municipal brasileira

The main objective of this paper is to realize a review of literature about use of Interactive Digital Whiteboard, as a tool for improving the quality of education. We intend to show some results already reported in several studies in this area, and thus contribute to the systematization of knowledge about this resource. We found that the positive impacts of digital interactive whiteboards are specific and depend on the model followed in its implementation. Although the literature on this technology still emerging, there is evidences of good practice and positive results in all areas of the curriculum. The outcome of this research shows that to get potential benefits of digital whiteboard will be necessary, at first, to understand the process implementation and appropriation. If hardware and software of Interactive Digital Whiteboard not available and adequately used all their potential benefits not will take effect.

Globalização, desemprego e (nova) pobreza: estudo sobre impactes nas sodiedades portuguesa e brasileira

This article reflects upon the possible connections between the processes of economic globalization, changes in the labour market and the new forms of poverty. The debate is framed by two different economic contexts: Portugal (characterized by slow and insufficient growth rates, a serious social crisis, and difficulties in asserting itself economically and politically in the European and world contexts) and Brazil (a dynamic emerging economy, with high growth rates and receding poverty levels). This allows us to assess some of the economic and social impacts arising from the global pressure to be economically competitive, which have led to new forms of poverty, social precariousness and job insecurity in both societies.

Mudança de fronteiras étnicas e participação política de descendentes de imigrantes em São Paulo

This paper analyzes patterns of political mobility of a specific social stratum - immigrants and their descendants - in the western region of São Paulo, where coffee economy prevailed since the last quarter of the XIXth century. We investigate the main agents of local politics in seven cities: from the traditional oligarchic regime characteristic of the Old Republic to the processes of political transformation in the thirties that resulted in the post-war re-democratization, when a recomposition of local political elites takes place.

Conselheiros do Orçamento Participativo nas franjas da sociedade política

This article suggests the need for change in focus of studies on new instances of participation in public policy management, which emerged in the Brazilian re-democratization. Moving away from the literature that addresses the role of civil society in these instances, the author reviews studies on Participatory Budgeting (PB) indicating how such experiences are marked by the dynamics of political society. The argument is reinforced by the presentation of a survey of PB counselors in Osasco-SP, by which we perceive, in general, a role filled by political processes of representative democracy. Most councilors compose the fringes of the political society, lie on the rise in, seeking better position in the local political field, internal disputes within the parties and the municipal government. This points the limits of the democratizing potential of the PB, since the expansion of participation in budget decisions would be just within the political society.

Demographic census from the last decades of the twentieth century began to reveal a tendency concerning the increasing average age of the population. The Brazilian government began introducing ways to manage the effects and consequences of this trend, the most recent being the creation of the "Fundos do Idoso" (Funds for seniors) in the Federal, state and municipal spheres. That law allows transferring federal taxes from common citizens and companies to the funds. This article is specifically written as a critical examination of this governmental initiative towards the problem of an ageing population from the point of view as to how the law has been implemented. With the creation of the funds there will be the enlargement and improvement of services destined for seniors. However, the law mentioned above does not predict an active participation of the seniors in the management of this funds and policies that will come as result.
