Children treated in psychoanalytical psychotherapy for learning problems

A clinical psychotherapy needs to turn its gaze to the current demands, and update its practice in empirical studies. The objective of this research is to ascertain the sociodemographic and clinical characteristics of children treated in psychotherapy by learning problems. We conducted a retrospective documentary study with records of 2106 children treated between 1979 and 2007 in two outpatient psychological care of the city of Porto Alegre, southern Brazil. The results showed that demand for Learning Problems is the fourth largest cause of psychotherapeutic care. There was no statistically significant difference regarding gender. Children with learning problems come to psychotherapy more frequently in the early stages of elementary school, around 7 years old. Increased demand for psychotherapy of children with learning problems takes place in May. Perhaps, learning difficulties can be understood simultaneously as a symptom global, in which other aspects, besides the uniqueness of the subject are involved. We conclude that individual and social aspects involved in Learning Problems may be useful in the clinical management of these children by professionals who are dedicated to meeting this particular clientele. Prevalence, risk factors, and problems associated with dating violence: A literature review

The physical, psychological and sexual violence among the couples of adolescents and young adults that are not married neither cohabiting (well-known generally as “dating violence”), has been object of a vast number of investigations in the last two decades that show a high prevalence inside the adolescent and juvenile population. The objective of this work was to carry out an analysis of the literature in connection with the prevalence, risk factors and difficulties associated with this partner violence type. This analysis allowed to elaborate an outline of the factors that could favor the acts of violence, including the previous experiences of victimization inside and outside the family, the acceptance of the violence toward the couple, and the relationship with pairs that have exercised this form of violence.

Competitiveness and Trade Policy Problems in Agricultural Exports: The Case of Colombia. Doctoral Thesis Project

Este estudio explora el estado actual y el potencial competitivo de las exportaciones agrícolas colombianas a los mercados de Estados Unidos y la Unión Eurpea. Los mercados de estos paises industrializados se constituyen en los más importantes para Colombia, pero al mismo tiempo tienen varias restricciones en el sector agrícola. Este estudio mostrará que la competitividad no es solamente una función de los impedimentos locales o internacionales tales como la pobreza institucional, la baja capacidad tecnológica, la disponibilidad de capital, capital humano y mano de obra, sino también de impedimentos externos como el acceso a los mercados. Por lo tanto, éste es un importante objetivo del presente estudio con el objeto de proyectar posibles escenarios para el comercio colombiano, a fin de investigar la eliminación de estas restricciones. En la parte empírica se enfatizará en los impactos de las restricciones externas en el sentido de un estudio econométrico, sin embargo, la influencia de las restricciones internas será discutida como tal.

Advances and limitations in the attention to the problems of housing and urban land in Mexico. An approach from the legal-institutional frame

In this work we analyze the reforms carried out by the Mexican state in the nineties of the 20th century, in the items concerning the policies of housing and urban land, based on an exhaustive review of the main actions, programs and changes in the legal and institutional frame that applies for each of these fields. The nineties represent a "breaking point" in the way the State considers the satisfaction of the right to the housing and attends the offer of urbanized land for a tidy and sustainable urban development. In this period of time, the approach of direct intervention in developing and financing housing and creation of land reserves has changed into another one, ruled by the logic of the market. The balance to the first decade of the 21st century is ambiguous, as neither the housing policy has solved the housing shortage for low-income population, nor the land policy has eliminated the illegal urban growth.

Casa Dental Eduardo Daza Ltda. Un estudio de caso de perdurabilidad empresarial

Este trabajo presenta un estudio de caso de perdurabilidad empresarial de la empresa Casa Dental Eduardo Daza Ltda, que como Empresa de Familia, desafía la tendencia de su desaparición a partir de la tercera generación, como lo han hecho la mayoría de empresas de esta naturaleza a nivel mundial. En primera instancia se contextualiza y caracteriza las empresas de familia a nivel mundial a partir de una revisión de la literatura existente, para poder consolidar un marco referencial que permite una aproximación al estado del arte en el ámbito corporativo de empresas de naturaleza familiar, para luego analizar su dinámica actual en la economía colombiana, en un enfoque desde lo general a lo particular. Posteriormente se presenta las características que demarcan el éxito de las empresas de familia, su gestión y gobernabilidad, el protocolo de traspaso y el direccionamiento estratégico hacia la innovación como sinónimo que garantiza la perdurabilidad en el tiempo. Después de esta contextualización, se presenta las particularidades desde un contexto histórico de la empresa Casa Dental Eduardo Daza Ltda, sus vicisitudes corporativas, su decadencia y renacer, hasta convertirse en un caso de éxito empresarial a nivel de empresa de familia, sustentando en su comportamiento económico financiero en los últimos tres años, para poder definir sus particularidades, tendencias y prospectiva en el inmediato futuro. Se concluye que las empresas de familia como forma más antigua de organización empresarial, tienen un amplio reconocimiento como un actor importante y diferenciador de la economía mundial, pues el aparato productivos de muchos países desarrollados y en vías de desarrollo se soporta en empresas de familia. La evidencia empírica señala dos características distintivas de las empresas de familia: 1) en casi todos los países estas empresas tienen una alta participación en la creación de riqueza; y 2) tienen una alta probabilidad de desaparecer. En todas las economías, en mayor o menor grado, conviven estos dos fenómenos tan significativos: su importancia económica y su vulnerabilidad

En este trabajo se presenta una actividad de investigación relativa a las bacterias de la placa dental, orientada a la educación secundaria obligatoria. Con ella se pretende acercar al alumnado al trabajo científico, procurando favorecer el desarrollo holístico de los tres tipos de contenidos: conceptuales, procedimentales y actitudinales. Se plantea la actividad apuntando sus objetivos, contenidos y metodología para a continuación plantear el desarrollo de la actividad.
