Some authors have shown the need of understanding the technological structuring process in contemporary firms. From this perspective, the software industry is a very important element because it provides products and services directly to many organizations from many fields. In this case, the Brazilian software industry has some peculiarities that distinguish it from other industries located in developed countries, which makes its understanding even more relevant. There is evidence that local firms take different strategies and structural configurations to enter into a market naturally dominated by large multinational firms. Therefore, this study aims to understand not only the structural configurations assumed by domestic firms but also the dynamic and the process that lead to these different configurations. To do so, this PhD dissertation investigates the institutional environment, its entities and the isomorphic movements, by employing an exploratory, descriptive and explanatory multiple cases study. Eight software development companies from the Recife's information technology Cluster were visited. Also, a form was applied and an interview with one of the main firm s professional was conducted. Although the study is predominantly qualitative, part of the data was analyzed through charts and graphs, providing a companies and environment overview that was very useful to analysis done through the interviews interpretation. As a result, it was realized that companies are structured around hybrids business models from two ideal types of software development companies, which are: software factory and technology-based company. Regarding the development process, it was found that there is a balanced distribution between the traditional and agile development paradigm. Among the traditional methodologies, the Rational Unified Process (RUP) is predominant. The Scrum is the most used methodology among the organizations based on the Agile Manifesto's principles. Regarding the structuring process, each institutional entity acts in such way that generates different isomorphic pressure. Emphasis was given to entities such as customers, research agencies, clusters, market-leading businesses, public universities, incubators, software industry organizations, technology vendors, development tool suppliers and manager s school and background because they relate themselves in a close way with the software firms. About this relationship, a dual and bilateral influence was found. Finally, the structuring level of the organizational field has been also identified as low, which gives a chance to organizational actors of acting independently

Products and services explicitly intended to influence users’ behaviour are increasingly being proposed to reduce environmental impact and for other areas of social benefit. Designing such interventions often involves adopting and adapting principles from other contexts where behaviour change has been studied. The ‘design pattern’ form, used in software engineering and HCI, and originally developed in architecture, offers benefits for this transposition process. This article introduces the Design with Intent toolkit, an idea generation method using a design pattern form to help designers address sustainable behaviour problems. The article also reports on exploratory workshops in which participants used the toolkit to generate concepts for redesigning everyday products—kettles, curtains, printers and bathroom sinks/taps—to reduce the environmental impact of use. The concepts are discussed, along with observations of how the toolkit was used by participants, suggesting usability improvements to incorporate in future versions.

This paper presents the role of the Ocean Economy in the National Income Accounts of Indonesia including the concept and methodology used to estimate the contribution of this ecosystem to Indonesian value added. Currently, the national income account of Indonesia only recognizes the fishery sector. Fishery activities have been considered as one of the sub-sectors of agricultural sector together with sub-sectors of farm food crops, plantation or non-food crops, forestry, and livestock. There are some drawbacks in the concept of national income accounts, since it follows the UN system of national accounts (SNA) that recognize only economic sectors or activities which produce the value added, while it does not recognize the ecosystems such as lakes and river ecosystems, forests as well as terrestrial and ocean ecosystems as production sectors. The present concept of the SNA produces an undervaluation of forest and ocean sectors, which in turn may direct the policy makers to have a tendency to deplete the forestry and fishery resources in order to increase the contribution of those two sectors to the national income accounts. Otherwise, the two sectors will be allocated small national budget for their operations. Therefore the paper concludes that a new concept of national income accounts based on ecosystem products and services to be developed, as a satellite account to the national income account is needed. Furthermore the new concept of national income account for the ocean economy should adopt the UN System of Environmental and Economic Accounts, which takes into account the extractive and non-extractive products as environmental and biological services in to the ocean income account. The new concept of ocean accounting based on both extractive and non-extractive products instead of only based on the extractive one which have market values may guarantee the sustainability of the ocean in particular and will be good for the whole economy of the country in generally. Hence the national income accounts of the ocean economy will show how the blue economy or the ocean economy really function as one of the important sectors for the whole economy of the country.

The present study it analyzes the Management of the Marketing of strategy Relationship as distinguishing for the host s companies of the city of Natal - RN. To carry through this analysis interviews with managers had been carried through, as well as the direct comment of processes, documents, actions and strategies developed for the hotels, with intention to know the level of perception and valuation of the relationship with customers, to verify resources and technologies used in the Management of the Relationship Marketing, identification, segmentation and differentiation of customers, personalization of products and services, and results of the emphasis in the relationship with customers for the host s companies. The research can be classified as exploratory - descriptive, and its universe is limited to the city of Natal, having enclosed hotels that have carried through tourist activity in 2005 and 2006. Still on the criteria of election of the sample, the study it investigated host s companies who if fit in the category superior luxury, or either, five stars, pertaining the national nets and international. How much to the treatment and analysis of the data the was made to leave of the theoretical support of the authors who work the thematic one and of the analysis of the interviews with managers, documents and processes observed for the researcher in the studied hotels. The research sample that the interviewed ones understand the importance to work the Management of the Marketing of Relationship in the host s companies me intention to get sustainable competitive advantage. One still evidenced that the searched hotels make use of strategies and instruments of Management of the Marketing of Relationship, however without an ample theoretical knowledge and yes only as base in the experience of the managers and spread processes already, generating one moment competitive advantage and not relationships of long duration

Management of customer co-development means involving customers in the development of new products and services, and coordinating the process. In business-tobusiness markets, customer co-development enables the development of innovations that better match customer needs and strengthens customer relationships. However, close collaboration with customers can hamper the innovativeness of new products and lead to overly customized solutions. Therefore, the management of co-development is crucial to its success. Yet the existing research on management of co-development has mainly focused on selecting the right collaboration partners, and the field lacks understanding on how to manage the tensions inherent in customer co-development. The purpose of this thesis is to increase understanding on the management of the codevelopment. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first comprises the literature review and conclusions for the whole study, and the second presents four publications. From the methodological perspective, the research papers follow exploratory qualitative research design. The empirical data comprise interviews with 60 persons, representing 25 different organizations, and a group of 11 end users. The study conceptualizes management of customer co-development in three dimensions 1) relational co-development processes, 2) co-development challenges and paradoxes, and 3) internal customer involvement processes. The findings contribute to the customersupplier relationship, innovation, and marketing management literatures by providing a framework on supplier-customer co-development, addressing co-development paradoxes and their management processes, and suggesting practices for customer involvement. For practitioners, the findings provide tools to manage the challenges related to codevelopment with customers.

Os projetos multimédia são uma forma única de desenvolver produtos e serviços inovadores, com recurso a um conjunto distintivo de membros de equipa, conhecimentos e metodologias. Grande parte dos estudos desenvolvidos em torno do conceito de desenvolvimento ágil são orientados para a área da engenharia de software, não sendo, muitas vezes, ajustados às particularidades dos projetos multimédia. Ainda que seja possível desenvolver e gerir projetos multimédia com recurso a métodos ágeis, é fundamental aprofundar o conhecimento nesta área apresentando estudos que comprovem a efetiva adequação das metodologias ágeis a esta tipologia projetual. O trabalho desenvolvido nesta dissertação pretendeu, não só analisar e compreender as metodologias, instrumentos e ferramentas de desenvolvimento ágil, considerando as particularidades da área da multimédia, como também analisar dados recolhidos num contexto real de desenvolvimento, observando práticas e eventos de um projeto específico; tais dados foram confrontados com metodologias existentes, de modo a permitir o desenho e a proposta de uma metodologia de suporte ao desenvolvimento ágil de um projeto multimédia. Os dados foram recolhidos em quatro fases e com objetivos distintos: conhecer o projeto e os elementos envolvidos; observar dinâmicas de trabalho em equipa; recolher informações sobre eventos de interação e partilha, organização hierárquica, controlo e monitorização e tomada de decisão e, por fim, recolher a opinião dos envolvidos sobre a proposta da metodologia de suporte. Esta proposta de metodologia constituiu, portanto, o principal resultado do estudo, apontando para a necessidade de (i) recorrer a uma ferramenta online de suporte à gestão de tempo e tarefas, (ii) utilizar uma ferramenta de partilha que permita um acesso constante por todos os elementos da equipa e (iii) promover reuniões periódicas, com ordem de trabalho definida.

El CRM es una herramienta que apoya la gestión de relaciones sólidas y duraderas con los clientes de manera que los productos y servicios que la empresa ofrece cumplan efectivamente las expectativas de sus clientes y por tanto se garantice la continuidad de las ventas en un entorno tan competitivo como el actual. El objetivo de este documento es presentar los resultados de la investigación de mercados que busca identificar las principales características que debe tener, desde el punto de vista del cliente, un sistema CRM para la empresa ‘Antojos Saludables’, para ello se presentará una caracterización de los clientes o posibles clientes de la empresa y las expectativas o percepciones respecto a asuntos de infraestructura tecnológica como seguridad de transacciones online, medios de pago preferidos para compras online, aplicaciones más usadas en plataformas de compra online, para finalmente mostrar algunas sugerencias sobre estrategias convenientes para el diseño del sistema de información que soporte el CRM de "Antojos Saludables".

El panorama que se tiene es difícil de enfrentar en un mundo de pasos gigantescos en donde el avance de la tecnología se ve todos los días. Los problemas que presentan las unidades de información documental como presupuesto, personal y espacio físico, además de un usuario líder en el manejo de Internet y la cantidad de información que está disponible para todos en la red mundial, es un reto que debe desafiar el bibliotecólogo actual, en un mundo de cambios constantes y que son difíciles de alcanzar, pero que deben ser la meta de todo profesional en el área.El bibliotecólogo como un profesional destacado en el manejo de la información, debe estar al día en los últimos adelantos tecnológicos para manipular la inmensa cantidad de documentación que está en los centros en forma impresa, así como aquella que está en el mundo viajando por autopistas electrónicas y algunas veces sin control.Hoy todavía no se ha olvidado la impresión en papel, pero sí se está viviendo un cambio fuerte en la forma de enviar los productos y servicios que se deben brindar en una unidad de información, sea ésta de ente público o privado, especializada o general.El mundo nos pide un cambio y un acelerado proceso en nuestras mentes que asimile parte de este desarrollo globalizado que la sociedad está viviendo a pasos gigantescos.

Es indudable que el tema de mercadeo de servicios y productos de información es de gran actualidad e interés para los profesionales que están vinculados con este tipo de actividad.Es así que el planteamiento de un foro sobre este particular reviste importancia y trascendencia, no sólo en Costa Rica, sino en los diversos países de la región, situación que ha motivado una rica participación y aporte.La discusión sobre esta área temática planteó dos enfoques de orientación. Por un lado la necesidad de profesionalizar la tarea del mercado de los productos y servicios de información y por otro, la necesidad de no caer en la trampa de las modas y de equivocar nuestro papel principal cual es la administración como bien social.El tratamiento de los distintos temas en forma superficial puede inducir a errores. Revisando la literatura sobre el tema, podemos observar como el concepto de mercadeo social está implícito en las modernas teorías del mercadeo y no deben extrapolarse como temas independientes.

El objetivo de este Trabajo Final de Graduación fue formular una propuesta de diseño y construcción de una Intranet, que permita al Centro de Documentación "Alvaro Castro Jenkins" del Banco Central de Costa Rica, administrar los recursos, servicios, y productos de información de acceso confidencial, discrecional y restringido a los funcionarios del Banco, con una red privada de comunicaciones, basada en los protocolos TCP/IP y tecnologías de World Wide Web (WWW). La implementación de la Unidad de Información del OVSICORI se propuso a partir del diagnóstico de la infraestructura, de los recursos tecnológicos, recursos documentales, financieros, humanos y necesidades de los usuarios reales y potenciales. Este Trabajo Final de Graduación consistió en una investigación descriptiva en la que se realizó un diagnóstico de los servicios de información existentes en la Biblioteca Conjunta de la Corte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos y del Instituto Interamericano de Derechos Humanos, con el fin de analizar la pertinencia y utilidad de los mismos y proponer un programa de mejoramiento continuo para los servicios y productos existentes, así como el diseño de nuevos servicios y productos de información.

Within the supply chain, the customer does not simply buy parts or services from suppliers, but also buys supplier capabilities, which results in quality products and services. Having a tool that handles the Inspection as well as the Nonconformance, Complaint, Corrective Action and Concession processes is key to successfully track the supplier performance. Taking as a case study a Supplier Quality Management (SQM) currently in operation in an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for automotive industry, this paper presents a platform to support a Supplier Quality Management System (SQMS), that fits the technical specification ISO/TS 16949 requirements. This prototype is composed by a web platform and a mobile App, having flexibility and mobility as key main characteristics.

A la par de la actitud de alerta al cambio que ha traído la informática y la telemática y que han generado tanta evolución y evaluación en todos los campos y actividades en general y a nuestra profesión en particular, viene ahora el tema controversial de la comercialización de servicios y productos de información.
