La construcción de identidades en una muestra de adolescentes de la Universidad Intercultural de Chiapas. Funciones de la identidad y mecanismos psicosociales implicados.

En este estudio se explora la construcción narrativa de la identidad personal y social en adolescentes de la Universidad Intercultural de Chiapas. El objetivo general es mostrar e ilustrar un modelo teórico que intenta explicar dos funciones que tiene la identidad en la adolescencia, así como los mecanismos psicosociales que están implicados en su construcción. Se analiza información recogida a través de distintos instrumentos metodológicos (triangulación). Específicamente, usamos cuatro medidas: el cuestionario de funciones de la identidad y percepción entre grupos (FI-PG), la escala de identidad étnica multigrupo (EIEM), ambos instrumentos cuantitativos, entrevistas historia de vida (HV) y dibujos identitarios (DI), ambas cualitativas. En el estudio cuantitativo participan 331 adolescentes (144 mestizos y 187 indígenas). La media de edad es de 21.7 años (DS = 2.65; rango: 17-40). Los resultados sugieren una conclusión general. Hay diferencias identitarias entre los mestizos e indígenas de la Universidad Intercultural de Chiapas.

Museum training to develop the social awareness of cultural identity in a time of universalization

The main theme of the ICTOP'94 Lisbon meeting is museum personnel training for the universal museum. At the very beginning it is important to identify what the notion universal museum can cover. It is necessary to underline the ambiguity of the term. On the one hand, the word 'universal' can be taken to refer to the variety of collected museum materials or museum collections, on the other hand it could refer to the efforts of the museum to be active outside the museum walls in order to achieve the integration of the heritage of a certain territory into a museological system. 'Universal' could also refer to the "new dimensions of reality: the fantastic reality of the virtual images, only existing in the human brain" (Scheiner 1994:7), which is very close to M. McLuhan's view of the world as a 'global village'. Thus, what is universal could be taken as being common and available to all the people of the world. 'Universal' can imply also the radical broadening of the concept of object: "mountain, silex, frog, waterfonts, stars, the moon ... everything is an object, with due fluctuations" (Hainard in Scheiner 1994: 7), which will cause the total involvement of the human being into his/her physical and spiritual environment. In the process of universalization, links between cultural and natural heritage and their links with human beings become more solid, helping to create a strong mutual interdependence.

Gestão intercultural : o trabalhador brasileiro nas empresas portuguesas : visão qualitativa

O Objetivo deste estudo exploratório é obter informações sobre a qualidade do relacionamento entre o trabalhador brasileiro e as empresas portuguesas, tomando como base o ponto de vista holístico. Geralmente consideradas “pessoas despreparadas” de visão estreita, o estudo pretende não só verificar se estas opiniões são de fato aplicáveis ao perfil dos trabalhadores brasileiros bem como verificar também, se a mesma influência o estabelecimento de uma relação “saudável” dentro das organizações e por fim se as mudanças no comportamento dos empresários portugueses estão levando a um melhor desempenho desses trabalhadores. O estudo compreende uma descrição que constituem vários suportes de argumentações em variados campos da ciência e a prática administrativa, uma vez que elas não estão dissociadas. Os resultados do presente estudo mostram um período de transição, coerente com a mudança de paradigma que está ocorrendo na teoria das organizações. Também revela alguns problemas, tais como a dificuldade de comunicação, e, um perfil tradicional influenciando fortemente a atitude dos trabalhadores brasileiros e dos gestores nas empresas portuguesas.

Educação escolar indígena : uma análise da educação intercultural do povo Xukuru do Ororubá

Esta pesquisa procurou compreender a Educação Escolar Indígena (EEI), a partir da estadualização do ensino no Estado de Pernambuco, mais especificamente, do povo Xukuru do Ororubá, que tem suas terras nos municípios de Pesqueira e Porção, na região agreste de Pernambuco, bem como analisar interculturalidade dentro da cultura e costume desse povo. Os locais das entrevistas aconteceram nas terras do povo Xukuru, na Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (Campus Caruaru), e no Recife, na Secretaria de Educação do Estado de Pernambuco. A pesquisa foi conduzida através de entrevistas com oito professores indígenas, Xukuru do Ororubá e com dois professores indigenistas, em eventos culturais do povo Xukuru, em intervalos de aulas na Universidade e nas reuniões do Conselho Educacional Escolar Indígena (CEEIN) do Estado de Pernambuco. Os resultados da pesquisa mostram que: quanto à estadualização do ensino, há um grau de satisfação por ter ocorrido a mudança de responsabilidade da esfera municipal para a estadual. Relativo à Interculturalidade, há uma desenvoltura categórica desses povos em respeitar a cultura do outro, sem que para isso seja desmerecida a sua. Não só o povo Xukuru, mas também os outros povos indígenas de Pernambuco tem se relacionado muito bem entres os mesmos como também com os demais estudantes não indígena na Universidade.
