Five coordination compounds Zn(mbmpbi)(2)Cl-2 (1), Zn(mbmpbi)(2)Br-2 (2), Cd(mbmpbi)(2)Cl-2 (3), Hg(mbmpbi)(2)Cl-2 (4) and Hg(mbmpbi)(2)Br-2 (5) were synthesized by the reaction of 1-(p-methoxybenzyl)-2-(p-methoxyphenyl)benzimidazole (mbmpbi) with the corresponding metal halides. The complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis, conductance measurements, FT-IR, H-1 NMR and photoluminescence spectral studies. The ligand mbmpbi exhibits the N-benzimidazole coordination. The structures of 3-5 have been determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction. These three complexes are isostructural, crystallizing in the monoclinic system. P2/n space group with a distorted tetrahedral geometry around the metal ion. Zn(II) and Cd(II) complexes show strong blue emission in solid state at room temperature. (C) 2011 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

对MOCVD生长Hg_(1-x)Cd_xTe进行了热力学分析.所用的起始原材料为Hg、DM-Cd和R_2Te.计算结果一方面表明CdTe优先并入倾向使得在通常的DAG工艺中x值非常不易控制.另一方表明即使在Hg存在的情况下,也可以沉积几平纯的CdTe,这对实现IMP工艺非常有利,计算结果还表明II/VI比对HgCdTe的组分控制起着关键性的作用.在DAG工艺中,较低的II/VI比可以改善对x值的控制能力,LMP-DAG工艺是降低II/VI比的较好途径.还计算了生长温度和反应室压力对固相组分的影响以及LMP-DAG工艺中生长温度与HgCdTe组分对最低汞分压的影响.

In this paper we describe the moleculare and crystal structures of the Na-3[Hg( II )(edta)Cl] . 6H(2)O (edta=ethylenediamine-N,N,N',N'-tetraacetate). The crystal data are as follows: orthorhombic, a=8. 083 (2) Angstrom , b=13. 870(3) Angstrom , c=38. 617(5) Angstrom , v=4329. 4 (13) Angstrom(3) , Z=8, Dc= 1. 798 g . cm(-3), mu=5. 564 mm(-1), P(000)=2280, R=0. 0317 and R-w=0. 0731 for 3883 unique reflections. In complex, the complex anion [Hg ( II ) (edta)Cl](3-) has a seven-coordination structure like a mono-capped trigonal-prism (C-2v-MTP) in which the edta(4-) acts as a hexadentate ligand with four O atoms and two N atoms and a Cl- caps a quadrilateral face as a seventh ligand. It can be known that the Hg2+ which has a d(10) electronic structure can form a high-coordinate compound with a hexadentate ligand (edta) because it has a big ionic radius.

The title complexes were synthesized and the crystal structures of their salts were determined by single-crystal X-ray structure analyses. Na-2[Zn-I(ida)(2)]. 7H(2)O: Triclinic, P1, a=0.523 4(2) nm, b=0.897 10(10) nm, c=1.069 10(10) nm, alpha=85.910(10)degrees, beta= 76.380(10)degrees, gamma=83.52(2)degrees, V=0.484 2(2) nm(3), Z=1. The complex anion [Zn-I (ida)(2)](2-) has a pseudo-octahedral structure in which the two N atoms: are in a trans configuration. Na-4[Hg-I(nta)(2)]. 7H(2)O: Monoclinic, C-c, a = 1.795 0(4) nm, b = 0.892 9(2)nm, c = 1.575 4(2) nm, beta = 92.78 (3)degrees, V = 2.526 2(9) nm(3), Z = 4. The complex anion [Hg-I (nta)(2)](4-) has a pseudo-bicapped-octahedral structure in which the two N atoms are in a trans configuration.

Single crystals of mercuric bis(N-imino-methyl-formamidate), Hg(Imf)(2), were obtained from aqueous solutions of 1,2,4-triazole and Hg(NO3)(2)center dot 2H(2)O. The crystal structure [monoclinic, P2(1)/c (no. 14), a = 499.6(2), b = 1051.2(4), c = 711.1(3) pm, beta = 117.55(1)degrees, Z = 2, R, for 890 reflections with I-0 > 2 sigma(I-0): 0.0369] contains linear centrosymmetric Hg(Imf)(2) molecules with Hg-N distances of only 203.5(7)pm. Two plus two intra- and intermolecular nitrogen atoms add to an effective coordination number of 6.

Colourless single crystals of [Hg(CF3)(2)(Pur)](4) and [Hg(CF3)(2)(Dat)](2) were obtained from aqueous and etheric solutions of the respective components Purine, (imidazo[4,5-d]pyrimidine, Pur), 3,5-dimethyl-4 '-amino-triazole (Dat) and bis(trifluoromethyl)mercury(II), Hg(CF3)(2). [Hg(CF3)(2)(Pur)](4) crystallizes with the tetragonal system (P-4, Z = 8, a = 1486.8(2), c = 1026.2(l) pm, R-all = 0.0657) with tetrameric molecules consisting of four purine molecules bridged by slightly bent Hg(CF3)2 molecules forming a cage with the CF3 ligands surrounding this cage. The two modifications of [Hg(Dat)(CF3)2]2 (1: 170 K, triclinic, P-1, Z = 2, a 814.9(2), b = 845.4(2), c = 968.4(3) pm, alpha = 106.55(2)degrees, beta= 103.41(2)degrees, gamma = 110.79(2)degrees, R-all = 0.1189; II: monoclinic, P2(1)/c, Z = 8, a = 879.8(2), b = 1731.0(3), c = 1593.9(3) pm, beta = 106.89(2)degrees, R-all = 0.1199) both contain dimeric molecules that are stacked parallel to one crystal axis to strands which are arranged in a parallel fashion in I and rotated against each other in 11 by 110 degrees. In both, the tetrameric [Hg(CF3)(2)(Pur)](4) and the dimeric [Hg(CF3)(2)(Dat)](2) the Hg(CF3)(2) molecules are slightly bent (around 167 and 170 degrees) and rather weakly attached to the N-donor ligands Pur and Dat with Hg-N distances around 272 pm, although in both cases the Hg atoms bridge between two ligand molecules.

[Hg(NH3)(2)][HgCl3](2) (1) is obtained by saturating an equimolar solution of HgCl2 and NH4Cl with Hg(NH2)Cl at 75 degreesC. 1 crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pmna with a = 591.9(1) pm, b = 800.3(1) pm, c = 1243.3(4) pm, Z = 2. NH4[Hg-3(NH)(2)](NO3)(3) (1) and [Hg2N](NO3) (2) are obtained from cone. aqueous ammonia solutions of Hg(NO3)(2) at ambient temperature and under hydrothermal conditions at 180 degreesC, respectively, as colourless and dark yellow to light brown single crystals. The crystal structures {NH4[Hg-3(NH)(2)](NO3)(3): cubic, P4(I)32, a = 1030.4(2) pm, Z = 4, R-all = 0.028; [Hg2N](NO3): tetragonal, P4(3)2(1)2, a = 1540.4(1), c = 909.8(1) pm, Z = 4, R-all = 0.054} have been determined from single crystal data. Both exhibit network type structures in which [HNHg3] and [NHg4] tetrahedra of the partial structures of 1 and 2 are connected via three and four vertices, respectively. 1 transforms at about 270 degreesC in a straightforward reaction to 2 whereby the decomposition products of NH4NO3 are set free. 2 decomposes at about 380 degreesC forming yellow HgO. 2-Aminothiazole covalently attached to a silica gel surface was prepared in order to obtain an adsorbent for Hg(II) ions having the following characteristics: good sorption capacity, chemical stability under conditions of use, and, especially, high selectivity. The accumulation voltammetry of mercury(II) was investigated at a carbon paste electrode chemically modified with silica gel functionalized with 2-aminothiazole (SIAMT-CPE). The repetitive cyclic voltammogram of mercury(II) solution in the potential range -0.2 to + 0.6 V versus Ag/AgCl (0.02 mol L-1 KNO3; V = 20 mV s(-1)) show two peaks one at about 0.1 V and other at 0.205 V. The anodic wave peak at 0.205 V is well defined and does not change during the cycles and it was therefore further investigated for analytical purposes using differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry in differents supporting electrolytes. The mercury response was evaluated with respect to pH, electrode composition, preconcentration time, mercury concentration, cleaning solution, possible interferences and other variables. The precision for six determinations (n = 6) of 0.02 and 0.20 mg L-1 Hg(II) was 4.1 and 3.5% (relative standard deviation), respectively. The detection limit was estimated as 0.10 mu g L-1 mercury(II) by means of 3:1 current-to-noise ratio in connection with the optimization of the various parameters involved and using the highest-possible analyser sensitivity. Reactions of Hg(CH3COO)(2) with [Fe(CO)(5)] in MeOH and EtOH lead to the compounds Hg[Fe(COOR)(CO)(4)](2) (I for R = CH3 and II for R = C2H5). Crystals of I are triclinic, P (1) over bar, with a = 6.272(2), b = 6.441(3), c = 11.703(4) Angstrom, a = 92.94(3)degrees, beta = 103.77(3)degrees, gamma = 96.10(2)degrees, and Z = 1. Crystals of II are tetragonal, I4(1)/a, with a = 17.906(3) Angstrom, c = 12.756(2) Angstrom, and Z = 8. The geometry around Hg is linear for compound I and approximately linear for compound II. The Hg-Fe distances are 2.5716(8) and 2.575(4) Angstrom for compounds I and II, respectively. The geometry around the Fe in both compounds is approximately octahedral. The carboalkoxy group is cis to Hg in both compounds with Fe-C distances equal to 2.034(6) and 2.05(4) Angstrom for compounds I and II, respectively.

The chemically modified silica, obtained by reacting 2-mercaptobenz-imidazole with 3-chloropropyl silica gel, was used to adsorb Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II) and Pb(II) from aqueous solutions at various pH. Between pH 3-5, the order of selectivity was Hg(II) > Cd(II) ≫ Cu(II) ∼ Zn(II) ∼ Pb(II). Under batch conditions retentions of 100% were achieved for all metals except for Pb(II) where 93% was attained. Under column conditions recoveries of 100% were obtained for all metals. © 1990 Springer-Verlag.
