Neste artigo, temos o objetivo de discutir questões relativas aos graus de equivalência que podem existir entre termos de duas línguas diferentes e sobre como consideramos que esses equivalentes devam ser tratados em um dicionário bilíngue dirigido ao trabalho de tradutores. Mais especificamente, exporemos casos que ocorreram em nossa pesquisa sobre termos de estatutos sociais em português e em francês, que constituem entradas de um dicionário bilíngue para tradutores juramentados que estamos elaborando com termos fundamentais desse tipo de documento.

This study aimed to evaluate the effects of a systematic teaching of relation between printed words and Brazilian Sign Language on the emergence of reading in one child with deafness, user of Brazilian Sign Language, diagnosed with deafness bi-lateral deep user of hearing, with 9 years and 4 months of age, enrolled in 4th year elementary school. Baseline evaluation selected nine words and their signs and figures to compose the teaching steps and tests that consisted of: (a) relationship between a sign and figure teaching, (b) the relationship between sign and printed word, (c) test of relationship between figure and the printed word and its symmetric (d) test signal in front of picture and the printed word. The participant learned the relationship between sign, figure and printed word and demonstrated reading. This procedure was effective for the participant to emit signals, verbally agreed with the community of Libras in front of textual stimuli, which is characterized as reading.

Based in aesthetic relationship between concepts of content and form intends to establish an relationship of analogy between ornaments and crystals. With the objective of building an theoretical investigation of relating the dynamics that happens in the crystals´ atoms to the symmetrical intervals of the ornamental patterns, it tries to draw a reasoning line that is going from the ‘Idea’ of Plato and ‘poiésis’ of Aristotle, until Hegel's philosophical enlargement, that admits the aesthetics as a science of the art integrated in a metaphysical process. Inherent to this question intends, in interrelation terms between aesthetics and metaphysics, content as being intelligent beginning, energy, and form as primitive element, matter, in order to evidence the possibility to calculate the same present symmetries in the ornamental arts like in the nature.

Studies on learning by exclusion have shown that participants tend to select a new object or a new figure when a new word is dictated, rejecting the objects and figures they already know or that were associated with other words. This study aimed at training conditional relations between dictated word-picture and between picture-printed word, by exclusion, and verify whether this training would be a condition for the emergence of relations between dictated word-printed word, printed word-figure, picture naming and reading. We also investigated whether responding to the words dictated with a female voice generalized to other frequencies such as male and child voices. Participants were five children between five and nine years old, with acute neurosensorial bilateral hearing impairment, users of cochlear implant Nucleus 24k®. They were exposed, individually, to tasks that consisted in selecting a comparison stimulus (either picture or printed word) related to the sample (either dictated word or picture). Words with lowest scores on a pre-test were used. The relations between dictated word-figure (AB) and figure-printed word (BC) were taught by exclusion. We assessed the emergence of the relations between dictated and printed words (AC), printed word and picture (CB), male and child voices generalization (A’C and A’’C), naming (BD) and reading (CD). All the children responded by exclusion and learned relations AB and BC, showing receptive vocabulary; AC and CB relations also were learned, consistent with class formation. Responding generalized to male and child voices, but data on naming were not systematic. Learning by exclusion was similar to that of children with typical hearing and these results describe some conditions that can improve receptive verbal repertoire.

OBJETIVO: Este estudo teve por objetivo a adaptação transcultural do Internet Addiction Test (IAT) para o idioma português. MÉTODOS: O trabalho consistiu em cinco etapas: (1) tradução; (2) retradução; (3) revisão técnica e avaliação da equivalência semântica por profissionais da área; (4) avaliação do instrumento por uma amostra de estudantes, avaliando-se o seu grau de compreensão; e (5) análise da consistência interna por meio do coeficiente alfa de Cronbach. RESULTADOS: O instrumento foi traduzido e adaptado para o idioma português, demonstrando ser facilmente compreendido e apresentando valor de consistência interna de 0,85. CONCLUSÃO: O instrumento encontra-se traduzido e adaptado para o português e apresenta consistência interna satisfatória. São necessárias análises de equivalência de mensuração e reprodutibilidade.

El proyecto tiene como propósito analizar los discursos de docentes y funcionarios argentinos y brasileños que integran el Programa bilateral de Enseñanza Común para Escuelas de Frontera Español-portugués. El interés por la temática reside en desvendar problemas existentes en el programa. Problemas que creemos que en parte se fundan en las diferencias conceptuales e ideológicas que se vislumbran al comparar los discursos de los participantes argentinos y brasileños. Para realizar la investigación se seleccionó un corpus de textos basados en diferentes trabajos de campo, tales como: entrevistas, observaciones de clases, notas, textos de circulación interna del programa (acuerdos, informes, relatorías, grabaciones de reuniones, planificaciones conjuntas, etc.). El análisis del mismo fue abordado desde la perspectiva del análisis del discurso.) Objetivo - Adaptar e realizar a transculturação dos questionários DEMQOL e DEMQOL-Proxy para a população portuguesa, construídas por Smith et al, em 2005, que pretendem colmatar as lacunas existentes aos dados relacionados com a qualidade de vida no que remete a esta em utentes com demência leve, moderada e severa. Metodologia – A metodologia inclui a parte de revisão da literatura (problemática em questão) e o processo de adaptação dos questionários. O processo implica tradução, retroversão, revisão e adaptação cultural à nossa cultura. Foram recolhidos alguns dados demográficos, com o intuito de melhor caracterização da população. Resultados – Os questionários DEMQOL e DEMQOL_Proxy versão portuguesa demostraram muito boa consistência interna α = 0,747 e 0,812, respetivamente. Apresentam excelente reprodutibilidade entre itens (ICC= 0,845 (-0,484 – 0,984; IC 95%) para o DEMQOL e 0,812 (0,636 – 0,928; IC 95%) para o DEMQOL-Proxy. Conclusões – Foi conseguida a equivalência semântica, conceptual e de conteúdo dos questionários que mostraram ser indicados para a população portuguesa, com bons indicadores em algumas das suas propriedades psicométricas, nomeadamente: consistência interna e reprodutibilidade entre itens.

La présente contribution vise à analyser les capacités langagières d’enfants bilingues espagnol-suisse allemand à l’occasion de la production orale de récits d’expériences personnelles. En se focalisant sur la production orale en espagnol avant le début de l’école primaire, cette étude explore le développement précoce des capacités narratives considérées comme un important précurseur de l’alphabétisation initiale des enfants (Dickinson & Tabors, 2001, entre autres). Notre étude se base sur un échantillon de textes produits par 24 enfants répartis en deux groupes d’âge, 3 et 5 ans. Nous analysons également un questionnaire soumis aux familles des enfants participants, questionnaire qui interroge les pratiques linguistiques à la maison et la biographie langagière de ces enfants. L’étude menée révèle des différences entre les deux groups d’âge ainsi qu’un lien entre la performance discursive des enfants et les pratiques langagières familiales. Elle a en outre permis de repérer des capacités en espagnol qui potentiellement pourraient favoriser les capacités narratives dans la langue de l’entourage – le suisse-allemand, d’abord, et ensuite l’allemand standard. Enfin, ces résultats nous amènent à réfléchir aux conditions qui favorisent la conservation de la langue de la migration et ses apports potentiels à la scolarisation. (DIPF/Orig.)

This paper tries to show that the developments in linguistic sciences are better viewed as stages in a single research program, rather than different ideological -isms. The first part contains an overview of the structuralistas' beliefs about the universality and equivalence of human languages, and their search for syntactic universals. In the second part, we will see that the generative program, in its turn, tries to answer why language is a universal faculty in the human species and addresses questions about its form, its development and its use. In the second part, we will see that the paper gives a brief glimpse of the tentative answers the program has been giving to each of these issues.
