This paper reviews a study done to determine the correlation between lipreading, auditory speech perception, language abilities, and hearing loss levels in hearing impaired children.

This paper discusses a test for speech perception and scoring to test likelihood of success with mainstreaming.
Resumo:
This paper discusses auditory neuropathy (AN) and auditory dys-sychrony (AD), and means of testing and diagnosis.

The recent discovery of synuclein proteins in peripheral auditory tissues has prompted a closer examination of the role of these proteins in hearing. In the present study, auditory brainstem response thresholds of synuclein knockout mice are compared to wild type mice.

This paper discusses the instruction of reading for hearing impaired children.
Resumo:
Reading growth rate averages were established for children who are deaf, have a unilateral cochlear implant and attend an auditory-oral school.
Resumo:
This paper discusses the development of a method to measure the habituation of the immobility response of guinea pigs.

The purpose of this Capstone Project is to help determine whether performing otoacoustic emissions with contralateral noise may be used in the diagnosis of Auditory Processing Disorder.

This dissertation examines auditory perception and audio-visual reception in noise for both hearing-impaired and normal hearing persons, with a goal of determining some of the noise conditions under which amplified acoustic cues for speech can be beneficial to hearing-impaired persons.

This study compares the discrimination of successive visual number and successive auditory number using the same stimulus durations and presentation rates for both stimuli. The accuracy of the discrimination of successive number decreased as the presentation rate increased and the number in a series increased.
Auditory brainstem response with alternative transducers: implications for newborn hearing screening
Resumo:
This paper studies the efficacy of a bone-conducted transducer compared to a traditional air conduction transducer for auditory brainstem response screening of newborns.
Resumo:
This paper is a review of a study investigating the relationship between visual perceptual skills and reading abilities of young deaf children.

This paper presents a study of the effects of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) on the auditory brainstem response (ABR) of twenty-three neonates, and whether there was asymmetric ABRs in the neonates who had ECMO.
Resumo:
This paper reviews a study of cross-modalities and within-modalities and their effects on speech perception.

This paper presents a study reformatting and reanalyzing data collected in a 1955 study of the perception of sixteen different consonants in consonant-vowel combinations, by human listeners.
