A new species of Moenkhausia from the rio Amazonas and rio Orinoco basins (Characiformes: Characidae)

A new species of Moenkhausia is described from the rio Amazonas and rio Orinoco basins. The new species can be distinguished from congeners mainly by the combination of a conspicuous, relatively small and circular humeral spot, a black spot on the upper caudal-fin lobe, lower caudal-fin lobe without spot or a faint one, and middle caudal-fin rays hyaline or with dark tips. Mature males have a unique combination of two large-sized bony hooks on the anal-fin rays and tiny spines on the distal portion of all fins, which distinguishes the new species from any other species of Characidae.

Mudanças no uso da fotografia em livros de história e geografia para o ensino fundamental

Análise estratigráfica dos sedimentos eo/mesodevonianos da porção ocidental da Bacia do Amazonas sob a ótica da estratigrafia de seqüências no interior cratônico

O trabalho foi desenvolvido com a finalidade de verificação da aplicabilidade dos conceitos da moderna Estratigrafia de Seqüências no interior cratônico e a possibilidade do refinamento cronoestratigráfico da seção eo/mesodevoniana da Bacia do Amazonas. O autor utilizou as seguintes ferramentas disponíveis para a interpretação e elaboração de um modelo geológico para a seção sedimentar estudada: a) a análise da Paleogeografia, do Paleomagnetismo e da Paleoecologia, através do estudo da Tectônica e do Clima atuantes no Eo/mesodevoniano, no Supercontinente Gondwana, retratadas em reconstituições do mundo devoniano e apoiada em extensiva consulta bibliográfica e em correlação com os conteúdos faunístico, icnológico e litológico da seção que compõe o intervalo pesquisado, com o auxílio de testemunhos, amostras de calha e afloramentos, b) o estabelecimento de superfícies-chave da Estratigrafia de Seqüências, definidas com o apoio de perfis elétrico-radioativos, notadamente o perfil de raios-gama, c) a Cicloestratigrafia química com a utilização dos teores de carbono orgânico e o índice de hidrogênio, d) a Cicloestratigrafia orbital e climática, mediante a análise espectral do perfil de raios-gama da seção estudada e a definição do controle da sedimentação, influenciada pela excentricidade curta da órbita terrestre, em ciclos dentro da banda de freqüências de Milankovitch. O encadeamento dessas análises levou o autor a montar um arcabouço cronoestratigráfico para o Eo/mesodevoniano da porção ocidental da Bacia do Amazonas. Para tanto, foram consideradas a hierarquização das unidades, a definição dos tratos de sistemas deposicionais, limites de seqüências e outras superfícies-chave estratigráficas, e a duração temporal dos eventos. Além disso, são discutidas as possíveis causas principais da evolução tectono-estratigráfica da seção estudada e sua associação com a curva de variação do nível do mar devoniano. Realizou-se ainda, tentativamente, a correlação com outras bacias intracratônicas gondwânicas através da comparação do conteúdo faunístico, da xvii paleoclimatologia, da tectônica, da análise da variação da curva do nível do mar devoniano, da posição geográfica e da relação com o Pólo Sul devoniano, que serviram de base para a compreensão do evento relacionado à passagem do Givetiano ao Frasniano, nessas bacias. Como contribuições principais o autor aponta a aplicabilidade da Estratigrafia de Seqüências no interior cratônico e a possibilidade de refinamento cronoestratigráfico em pelo menos uma ordem de grandeza (10 6 anos para 10 5 anos) com a utilização da metodologia da Cicloestratigrafia orbital.

A cidade revelada : a fotografia como prática de assimilação da arquitetura

As artes visuais, e especificamente a fotografia, possibilitam uma linguagem indireta e ao mesmo tempo subjetiva sobre as transformações do espaço. Isto nos faz pensar sobre o olhar singular do sujeito, que por sua vez também diz respeito ao contexto urbano como um todo. A fotografia ingressa neste trabalho como ferramenta comum de captação das imagens em três experiências por mim realizadas através de percursos. Ela não contribui apenas como um instrumento mecânico capaz de gerar imagens mas, principalmente, como um processo de reflexão sobre a arquitetura através da origem do processo fotográfico negativo-positivo e suas alternâncias (presença/ausência, mobilidade/imobilidade, luz/sombra, irreversível/inacabável) numa relação com a cidade. A primeira experiência, realizada junto ao viaduto Otávio Rocha, apresentada em pranchas de contato, tem o movimento futurista como referencial teórico, e relaciona o deslocamento do sujeito salientando questões referentes à simultaneidade, à velocidade, à mobilidade e à multiplicidade de imagens Na seqüência fotográfica, realizada na segunda experiência em Paris, a simultaneidade acontece através do acaso e da leitura das imagens que apresenta outros percursos realizados através do pensamento analógico, com referência no movimento surrealista. A terceira experiência se concentra especificamente no olhar, na atenção, no acúmulo de imagens e nas sombras projetadas, próprio do processo fotográfico, relacionado-os com o fenômeno urbano e o processo de tradução do fotográfico: o desenho panorâmico da avenida Borges de Medeiros. As características das imagens destas três experiências estão muito próximas das situações vividas na cidade. A fragmentação o acúmulo fotográficos gerados a partir dos percursos, constituem uma resposta simbólica à relação do sujeito na realidade urbana O processo de resgate do olhar do sujeito é análogo ao processo fotográfico pois, ao fotografarmos, iniciamos um processo de assimilação que se completa com o trabalho do negativo. O ato fotográfico, como tal, representa, enfim, a concretização da importância física do olhar de cada sujeito sobre a arquitetura e sobre a cidade.

A qualidade do atendimento e os serviços prestados: um estudo sobre a relação de satisfação dos alunos do Curso de administração pública na Escola Superior de Ciências Sociais Unidade da Universidade do Estado do Amazonas - UEA

The theme of this dissertation is the quality in assistance and services rendered: a study on the satisfaction of the students from the Social Studies school. In a school, leader are supposed to always believe that the best form of attaining success derives from their performance in decentralizing activities, do away with barriers and help in the front line. This is the participative management. Students satisfaction is the goal. When the whole school community feels emotionally involved, success is assured, since all the educational segments are supposed to get together for achieving school success. When investment is made in the continued education of the school staff, such as the establishing a teaching of quality is sedimented. To have a school of quality in assistance and services rendered and, thereafter, to obtain favorable results, it is necessary for everyone to be aware of their roles, which is only possible through a cooperative effort on the part of the people forming the institution, with a commitment of the whole team: teaching, technical and administrative staff, as well as its external and internal clients, with values of excellence and relevance, which ought to be present in the whole of the educational effort. The four fundamental dimensions for a program of quality are: Planning to change; organizing to act; Acting to transform; Assessing to improve. In planning the institution establishes its objectives. In organizing it defines the structure for a more flexible action. In acting what has been established is implemented. In assessing it constantly improves the program of quality. To look for the students quality and satisfaction is the virtue of persistence is the doing right from the word go. To have a zeal and care in everything one does e for whom it is intended to, since to achieve the maximum in result with the least effort, reaching goal, objectives and finalities are everything the target population wishes.

Impactos econômicos, tecnológicos e sociais do desenvolvimento das pessoas na TV Amazonas, pela Fundação Rede Amazônica - a percepção de diretores, gerentes e funcionários

This research has the objective to present the economic, technological and social impacts on the TV Amazonas' employees development. The study was made based on the perception of directors, managers and old employees of the organization, since the creation of the Rede Amazonica Foundation. The methodical procedures were based on the phenomenologic-hermeneutic approach, using theoretical study, text analysis, documents and interviews. The theoretical referential was based on publications about the history of the television in the world, Brazil and Amazon. It looked at digital television, the importance of the education on people's development and the society, as a whole changes in the labor market, professional qualification; professional education and social responsibility. The results show that employees qualification has contributed directly to the economic, technological and social growth of TV Amazonas.

O papel da punição disciplinar no controle da tropa da polícia militar do Amazonas

The work is to undertake a review of the control system's internal disciplinary Military Police of Amazonas (PMAM) as a way to identify factors that deserve to be modified or improved before the current social situation that is presented to our Public Military Force. For this purpose discussing the elements motivating and purpose of disciplinary punishment to the question 'Why punish?'. Then were the legal aspects of legal and disciplinary reprimand the legislation in force. It was subsequently approached the concept of police activity in Brazil and its peculiarities, moving then to examine the main figures of our state correctional compared with other states of the country. Before closing, we analyze the data Search Field watching the view of commanders and commanded the respect of the disciplinary system now in military force.

Formação de profissionais de política de investigação: o caso do projeto para o Amazonas

Esta dissertação verificou se o Programa de Educação Continuada para Candidatos a Delegados, Comissários, Peritos, Escrivães e Investigadores, elaborado pela Fundação Getulio Vargas - PEC-FGV/AM atendeu às Bases Curriculares para a Formação dos Profissionais da Área de Segurança do Cidadão do Ministério da Justiça do Brasil - BC. Por meio de uma pesquisa descritiva e explicativa concluiu-se que o PEC-FGV/AM atendeu às BC sem, contudo, contemplar o item referente à saúde do policial constante nesse último documento. Entretanto, o Programa obrigou a discussão sobre administração pública, preocupação do Ministério da Justiça.

Qualidade em Ambiente de Burocracia: O caso da Justiça Federal do Estado do Amazonas

The necessity to be efficient and effective has long shifted from the private to the public sector. New philosophies have appeared with the aim to supply better performance in both private and public organisms. One of those theories is Quality. It stresses that people who are part of an organisation must realise that they are customers and suppliers within a workflow. The aim of this study was to identify to what extent quality theory can be found in bureaucratic management. The hypothesis was that, despite of the Federal Justice in Amazonas State ─ JF-AM ─ being a bureaucratic organisation, quality parameters are present in the tasks conduction and practice execution. This study was descriptive and explicative. It was a case with bibliographical and field research. As for the means, this research was limited due to both a reduced bibliographical archive pertaining to the comparison between bureaucratic and quality theories, and the uncertainty about the veracity from the questionnaires answers to be answered by members of the sample organisation, the JF-AM. Another limitation factor was the fact that the sample organisation is under the federal judiciary power which excluded views from a State and municipal orbit and from other areas of public power, such as the legislative and the executive. Therefore it seems interesting to gather from this locus another view of quality, mainly as reforms to the judiciary system are in question, which lent a special meaning to this research. The final conclusion was that quality parameters were found in the bureaucratic sample organisation.

Propaganda impressa de serviços educacionais: uma investigação sobre o impacto da fotografia das instalações e do testemunhal nas atitudes dos consumidores

In the actual competitive scenario the higher education institutions have been forced to become more active in recruiting students due to the reduction in candidates for its courses. Print advertising are important components in the educational services communications campaigns and, thus, they are an important focus of research. The literature on services communication suggests that the use of cues, as the installations picture and testimonial, presents an observable way to tangibilize educational services offers. We relate the cue paradigm theory as evaluative indicators of a product, with two of the four advertising strategies, with the objective to investigate the impact of the cues in the printed educational services ad¿s in relation to the consumers attitudes. More specifically, to investigate the impact of the physical representation strategy (installations picture - an intrinsic cue), and the association strategy (testimonial - an extrinsic cue), in the consumers attitudes toward the advertisement, the brand and the purchase intention. With this purpose an experiment between subjects with 123 students was carried through, with four levels of manipulation. In relation to consumer attitudes, none of the analyzed strategies presented a significative superiority in relation one with another. However, the subjects with low involvement in the value/auto-image dimension had presented more favorable attitudes in relation to the purchase intention in the presence of the advertising using a testimonial (association strategy - an extrinsic cue).

Policiamento comunitário no amazonas: ações implementadas e a percepção dos atores envolvidos

Este trabalho tem como objetivo descrever o policiamento comunitário, correlacionando com as ações implementadas no Amazonas, e analisando a percepção dos atores envolvidos no sistema de segurança pública sobre este modelo. As experiências internacionais e nacionais demonstram que a adoção deste modelo requer mudanças estruturais, administrativas e organizacionais. A participação comunitária é uma das principais características deste modelo. O sistema de segurança pública do Amazonas ainda não adota integralmente o modelo comunitário, apesar de constar em seu projeto de revitalização procedimentos semelhantes ao modelo, como interação entre a polícia civil e militar e instalação dos Conselhos Interativos Comunitários de Segurança Pública, embora estes não estejam regulados legalmente. Um fator importante neste processo diz respeito à percepção dos atores envolvidos que necessitam ter uma visão ampla sobre a atuação policial. As entrevistas realizadas com os atores envolvidos no sistema de segurança pública demonstram que o atual modelo não atende as expectativas tanto da sociedade quanto da própria instituição. O policiamento comunitário é visto como alternativa capaz de auxiliar na melhoria do sistema.

A formação profissional dos oficiais da primeira turma do curso de bacharelado em segurança pública e do cidadão (2002/2005) no estado do Amazonas: estudo de caso

Este trabalho de pesquisa trata da formação profissional do oficial policial militar no Estado do Amazonas. Trata-se da 1ª turma do Curso de Bacharelado em Segurança Pública e do Cidadão Curso de Formação de Oficiais (CFO), iniciado em agosto de 2002 e concluído em março de 2005. A abordagem acadêmica foi adotada no sentido de se verificar a adaptação do Curso à Matriz Curricular Nacional (MCN) para o ensino policial, versada nas Bases Curriculares para a Formação dos Profissionais da Área de Segurança do Cidadão, apresentada pelo Ministério da Justiça, através da Secretaria Nacional de Segurança Pública (SENASP) em 2000. A Matriz Curricular Nacional integra um conjunto de ações do Governo Federal para balizar o ensino policial, buscando assim, capacitar os oficiais para atuar de maneira adequada em uma sociedade democrática. O conteúdo empírico do trabalho revela o dimensionamento da formação do oficial policial militar consubstanciado pelo ensino, pesquisa e extensão, realizado em parceria entre a Polícia Militar do Estado do Amazonas e a Universidade do Estado do Amazonas, no cenário em que desempenhará suas funções para dirimir os conflitos da ordem pública.
