As concepções de gestão e a vivência da prática escolar democrática

This study aims to analyze the possibilities and limitations to building democratic experiences within school management and practice, using action research prioritizing the training of education professionals based on dialog and inquiry. Conceptions of school management are discussed at both the academic and the practice levels, after which we point to what may be new possibilities in building democratic school practices.

A culpa é dos professores! Um diagnóstico que engendra uma política neoliberal de formação docente

O presente artigo trata da política de formação de professores que vem sendo implantada no Brasil desde os anos de 1990, com destaque para sua repercussão no Estado de São Paulo. Para tanto, recuperamos o processo de proletarização da profissão docente e a atual culpabilização dos professores pela queda na qualidade do ensino público.

Um Estudo da modelagem matemática na educação matemática e seu potencial para o desenvolvimento do pensamento crítico

The implementation of mathematical modeling curricula represents a great challenge, both for teachers and students, since it escapes the traditional teaching methodology, i.e. when the teacher speaks to his/her students. This work presents, at least, one possible way of implementing mathematical modeling inside the classroom, and how this way encourage critical thinking in students. I see mathematical modeling as an opportunity to minimize student's rejection and increase their interest for mathematics, promoting their competencies to give points of scene in every day situations. The history of mathematics shows that mathematical modeling had developed since almost the beginning of human live, when men needed to solve problems that arose in the course of his life. Mathematics has become more and more abstract, but it is important to recall what was originated it. In this way, it is possible to make this subject matter more meaningful to students. I will make an introduction of mathematical modeling, presenting some important definitions. Based on this framework, I will present a classroom instruction understand on a 7 th grade classroom by myself. With this in instruction I sustain the idea that mathematical modeling has, in fact, a great potential to improve the quality of mathematics teaching. I also sustain that, the development of critical thinking, as a competence, way be achieved with it

A política educacional do PT na Prefeitura Municipal de São Paulo (1989-1992): formulação e institucionalização

It was investigated how the conceptions of PT for the educational area defended in national meetings of the party have configured as policies in the City Hall of São Paulo during 1989-1992. It was made an analysis of official documents and measures adopted by the Municipal Education Secretariat. Then, it could be concluded that the priorities of implementation of the PT proposal entitled popular public school were based on four categories: Democratization of Management; New Quality of Teaching; Movement of Adult and Youth Literacy (MOVA) and Democratization Access.

A norma-padrão Europeia e a mudança linguística na Escola Moçambicana

In Mozambique, the portuguese language is considered the official language, second language, national language and competes with more than twenty Bantu languages spoken by the majority of population. The standard norm lose away their floor to the Mozambican Portuguese which carries own characteristics pertaining to the sociolinguistic context of the country. Schools attempt their best, but they cannot teach the European standard due the multilingual and Portuguese contact with African languages, a fact that is reflected in the media and in the literature through their oral and written forms. These difficulties result in high rates of failures due to problems encountered in using the European standard by teachers and writers who prepare the school books. This research suggests the standardization of the Mozambican variant as well as the preparation of dictionaries and grammars illustrating the sociolinguistic reality of Mozambique in order to improve the quality of education. It also emphasizes the need for a self-esteem spirit on Mozambicans in general as a conduit to eliminate the soaring bias that Mozambicans can not speak portuguese language

O pagamento por desempenho no contexto das reformas educacionais paulistas

This article presents the results of a research that has as its analysis focus the payment by performance, represented in the public educational system of the São Paulo State by the bonus-merit. The bonus, such as other measures implemented in the last decade, is part of neoliberal reforms that were predominant in the public educational system of the State. The article intends to debate the implications of this mechanism for the teaching from a bibliographic review about the topic as well as from the interpretation of data originated from a qualitative empirical investigation based on semi-structured interviews with second cycle teachers of high and middle schools of three regional departments of education. The results revealed an influence of performative and managerial elements in the organizational work of schools and teachers. Moreover, they showed that the payment by performance has not contributed for the improvement of the work conditions and for the career of the teachers, has a very limited impact to change the quality of education and thus represent a teacher accountability mechanism.

Direitos humanos e demandas escolares: problematizando a aproximação entre psicologia e conselho tutelar

This paper presents the main achievements in the field of children and youngsters social rights and provides some data on Brazilian education that show the discrepancy between the legal guidelines and the educational situation of children and youngsters within public schools. It presents a critical approach to the ways production and attendance of school problems have been interpreted and shows the dimension in which social facilities established to provide protection to children and adolescents have not been able to ensure a good quality schooling. It highlights the Guardian Council as addressee of school demands and stands out the urgency of debating the violation of fundamental rights such as the lack of quality in education, the repeated situations of failure, and dropping out experienced by a significant number of poor students. The analyzes developed point to the fragility of the relationship between school and Guardian Council revealing an institutional dynamic that individualize social issues. The analyzes developed also suggest the possibility of including Psychology mediation to school, family and Guardian Council. These aim to break the hegemony of the gaze individualizing approach that blame individual and / or family for school failures. This all present to professionals the urgenct for a critical attitude, based on theoretical and practical approaches able to research and propose critical interventions in order to overcome the production of educational exclusion.

Análise da produção acadêmica no campo da educação física acerca do currículo do estado de São Paulo e suas implicações para a prática pedagógica

Visando melhoria na qualidade do ensino e da aprendizagem dos alunos, a Secretaria de Educação do Estado de São Paulo elaborou em 2008 um documento para sistematizar um currículo único para todas as escolas dos níveis de ensino fundamental II e médio, sob sua jurisdição. Assim, objetiva-se com o presente estudo analisar tanto qualitativa quanto quantitativamente a produção acadêmicocientífica no campo da Educação Física acerca do Currículo do Estado de São Paulo, a fim de identificar as possíveis implicações para a prática pedagógica. Para isso, foram analisados artigos publicados em sete periódicos nacionais da área e um banco de teses e dissertações, tendo como recorte temporal o período de 2008 até 2014. A análise e discussão dos dados se deu, inicialmente, por apresentar os resultados referentes a cada um dos periódicos investigados para, em um segundo momento, compreender de forma qualitativa o panorama geral concernente à produção acadêmica na área da Educação Física sobre a temática do Currículo do Estado de São Paulo. Logo após, os artigos e as teses e dissertações foram organizados de acordo com a classificação de temas investigados proposta por Bracht et al. (2011). Assim, foi possível identificar as possíveis implicações da produção acadêmico-científica para a prática pedagógica, sob essa temática. Os resultados indicaram uma baixa quantidade de publicações pautadas no Currículo do Estado de São Paulo para a disciplina de Educação Física. Do total de 593 artigos ou trabalhos monográficos que foram encontrados sobre Educação Física escolar, foram identificados apenas 16 baseados no Currículo do Estado de São Paulo para a disciplina de Educação Física, valor correspondente a 2,69% do total encontrado sobre a temática de Educação Física escolar durante o período considerado para a pesquisa. La relacion entre la calidad de la ensenanza y mala prática odontológica: relato de un caso clínico

The activities developed in health area are of great importance, because they have the aim to preserve the life of the men, and therefore, must be performed by authorized persons. The increase of the number of dental schools, the decline at the education quality and a higher admission of students with low ability to exercise their profession, are facts that bring disastrous consequences for society. These facts are, also, reflected at the moral, ethical and technical-scientific performance of the professional. The purpose of this clinic case is to show that although there is a significant suplly of education institutions, there is a lack of scientific and adequate technical knowledgement from the graduated dentals surgeons. The patient MSL, 17 year old, female, went to a dental clinic presenting a tray type Vernis, attached to the lower arch. After clinical evaluation, it was showed that an incorrect material was used for the impression technique, being impossible to take out the tray by the conventional manner. The planning for the removal of the tray was through the divide of it. Thus, the consequence of the lack of knowledge in the use of impression materials had caused a great incovinience to the patient. It can be concluded that the rate of malpractice is directly related to the professional preparation, highlighting the importance of quality dental education for a responsible clinical practice.
