O presente estudo faz uma investigação sobre a atribuição de formar professores durante o Horário de Trabalho Pedagógico Coletivo (HTPC), que os professores coordenadores da rede estadual paulista receberam com a implantação do programa Ensino Médio em Rede, no período de 2004 a 2006. O estudo proporciona uma análise da condição de formador desses educadores, a partir das suas trajetórias profissionais, enfocando a construção da sua identidade e procurando encontrar os elementos comuns presentes no percurso de cada um, bem como as dificuldades vivenciadas no desenvolvimento deste trabalho e as estratégias e alternativas adotadas por eles para superá-las. Além das consultas a diversos referenciais teóricos e legais, a pesquisa aconteceu através de trabalho de campo sistematizado a partir de questionários e entrevistas com professores coordenadores. No que se refere à análise das trajetórias profissionais dos professores coordenadores, a undamentação teórica contou com as contribuições de Antônio Nóvoa, Christine Josso e Zeila de Brito Fabri Demartini. Michel de Certeau subsidiou as reflexões sobre os mecanismos usados para burlar a política de formação em massa imposta a todas as escolas de Ensino Médio do Estado de São Paulo.(AU)

A presente investigação visou averiguar o papel do Coordenador dos Departamentos Curriculares, tentando descortinar se no desempenho das suas funções emergem atitudes que se enquadram no paradigma da Supervisão Pedagógica e determinar as características que estas revestem. A pesquisa, com carácter de estudo de caso, centrou-se numa escola pública dos 2.º e 3.º ciclos, localizada no norte da Ilha da Madeira e todos os docentes que a integravam foram selecionados para sujeitos deste estudo. Para além da pesquisa documental e bibliográfica, concebemos como instrumentos de recolha de dados a entrevista, direcionada aos Coordenadores dos Departamentos Curriculares e ainda o inquérito por questionário que foi aplicado aos restantes professores da escola. O emprego simultâneo dos paradigmas qualitativo e quantitativo constituíram a forma mais adequada de apresentar e analisar os dados obtidos recorrendo a uma triangulação de modo a garantir a fidelidade dos resultados. Verificou-se que o Coordenador do Departamento Curricular é percecionado pelos docentes e simultaneamente se autoperceciona como um agente de Supervisão visto que acompanha, orienta, monitoriza e avalia o trabalho desenvolvido por aqueles, ao mesmo tempo que interfere na vida da organização escolar. Para os docentes o pleno exercício deste papel pressupõe a assunção de alguns requisitos, tais como, o saber escutar, partilhar, mediar, cooperar e encorajar bem como a posse de uma formação específica.

This work aimed to promote the synthesis, characterization and propose a plausible molecular structure for coordination compounds involving furosemide (4-Chloro-2-(2- furylmethylamino)-5-sulfamoyl-benzoic acid) with the metal ions Ni+2, Zn+2 and Co+2. The compounds were obtained in methanoic medium by evaporation of the solvent after the synthesis procedure. For characterization of coordination compounds determining the levels of metals by EDTA complexometry, infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), solubility of compounds in various solvents, thermogravimetry (TG), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), differential thermal analysis were made (DTA), determination of the carbon , hydrogen and nitrogen (CHN). The results of infrared spectroscopy in the region suggest that the organic ligand is coordinated in a bidentate fashion to the metal ions, the metal center interactions to occur by the coordination of the nitrogen atom of the amino group and the oxygen atom of the carboxylic acid of the structure of furosemide. With the results of the levels of metal, elemental analysis (CHN) and thermal analysis has been possible to propose the structure of the ligand. The values of the molar conductivity of the complex in acetonitrile behavior suggest the non acetonitrile electrolyte solution. With the solubility tests it was found that the compounds have high solubility in methanol and acetonitrile, as are partially insoluble in water. From the results of thermal analysis (TG, DSC, DTA), it was possible to obtain the thermal behavior of the compounds as stages of dehydration, thermal stability, decomposition and the energies involved.

World consumption of vegetable oils has increased in recent years because of its application in food, chemical, pharmaceutical and, more recently, energy industry. However, oilseeds, which these oils are extracted, have low viability, affecting the cultivation and productivity of these species. The aim of this study was to analyze the effect of aging on the coordination of catalase (CAT) and ascorbate peroxidase (APX) antioxidant systems in safflower and sunflower. . Therefore, seeds were subjected to accelerated aging for 3, 6 and 9 days and grown in moistened paper towel for 72 hours. Additionally, before accelerated aging, sunflower seeds were pretreated by osmopriming with 10 mM ascorbate (ASC) or 3 amino 1,2,4 triazol (3-AT), a specific inhibitor of CAT activitie. The method of artificial aging used was efficient in both species, because it caused a decrease in germination, seedling development and growth, especially in safflower. The aging caused inhibition of CAT activity for both species and to compensate for such inhibition , sunflower increased mRNA expression of this enzyme , while safflower mobilized over the activity of APX. Analysis of the expression of malate synthase and sugar content demonstrated that sunflower seeds consumes lipid reserves in quiescent state, while the safflower is more dependent on carbohydrate. Pretreatment with 3-AT inhibited CAT activity and stimulated the APX, though with ASC acted reverse on these systems. None of the treatments recovered the physiological decline aging. It is concluded that aging change the oilseeds antioxidant metabolism, despite interspecies variations in response to this process, the depletion of the CAT antioxidant system was common. Because of this we propose that the measurement of CAT activity can be used to identify aging seed lots.

Metal Organic Frameworks (MOFs) are hybrids materials, often crystalline, consisting of metal or metal clusters, connected by polytopic organic ligands repetitively, leading to structures, usually porous. In this work, MOFs based on lanthanide ions (La3+ and Gd3+) and dicarboxylate type of ligands (isophthalic and terephthalic acids), were synthesized by hydrothermal, solvothermal and hydro(solvo)thermal methods. The effects of the synthetic route as well as the type of heating, conventional or by microwave, on the structure and properties of MOFs were studied. The powder samples obtained were characterized by X-ray diffraction, infrared spectroscopy, thermal analysis and scanning electron microscopy. The results suggest that the addition of an organic or inorganic base is needed to promote the deprotonation of the ligand, since in the samples prepared by the hydrothermal method, without the use of a base, no formation of the metalorganic framework was observed. On the other hand, the presence of DMF as solvent or cosolvent, afforded the deprotonation of the ligand with the consequent formation of MOFs. At least two different crystalline structures were identified for the samples prepared with terephthalic acid. These samples are isostructural with those reported for phases Eu(1,3-BDC)DMF, Eu2(1,4-BDC)3 (DMF)2 and Tb(1,4-BDC)H2O. The presence of water in the reaction medium in the hydro(solvo)thermal method, provoked the growth of the structure different from that observed in the absence of water. This can be explained by the difference in the coordination mode of water and DMF to lanthanide ions. Although not identified by XRD, the samples prepared with isophthalic acid, also present metalorganic structures, which was confirmed by the presence of the characteristic displacement of the carbonyl group band in their infrared spectra, compared to the spectrum of the pure ligand. This shift was also observed in the samples prepared with terephthalic acid. Thermal analisys shows that the metal organic frameworks do not collapse occurs at a temperature below 430°C.The analysis of scanning electron microscopy suggests that the morphology of powders is highly dependent on the type of heating used, conventional or by microwave.

O mercado atual das instituições do ensino superior (IES) é caraterizado pela forte concorrência, o que chama a estas instituições uma necessidade de serem cada vez mais eficazes, oferecendo melhores serviços sem ter que desperdiçar os recursos cada vez mais escassos. A reengenharia de processos de negócios (BPR) oferece às instituições do ensino superior a possibilidade de repensarem os seus processos, eliminando as ineficiências dos serviços prestados à sua comunidade académica e serem cada vez mais competitivas ao nível de qualidade e preço. Este estudo tem como objetivo caraterizar os processos, a sua importância, o tempo despendido na realização destes processos e saber as possibilidades de automatização dos processos ou se o processo pode ser realizado por um colaborador administrativo com vista à reengenharia. Concentramos o nosso estudo na coordenação dos cursos da Escola Superior da Tecnologia e Gestão (ESTG) porque a coordenação dos cursos são a espinha dorsal da ESTG Leiria. Foi realizado uma revisão da literatura sobre o conceito de Processos, a sua importância e as diferentes formas de os descrever e ainda abordámos o conceito da reengenharia de processos, os desafios a que se propõe e a reengenharia de processos nas instituições do ensino superior. Foram realizados dois inquéritos aos 29 coordenadores dos cursos da ESTG Leiria, entre os quais 16 licenciaturas e 13 mestrados, onde se obteve, no primeiro, 15 respostas válidas e no segundo 14 respostas válidas. A metodologia utilizada é o estudo de caso; podemos ver que esta metodologia traz resultados, permitindo constatar, neste estudo, que é possível reduzir o número de horas despendidas para a realização dos processos de coordenação dos cursos, que alguns processos podem ser automatizados e também que existem processos de coordenação dos cursos que podem ser realizados pelos colaboradores administrativos

This research aimed at relating coordination and control forms to organizational performance. The multicase study was applied in two public high schools: Centro Federal de Educação Tecnológica do Rio Grande do Norte and Floriano Cavalcanti. In order to accomplish these objectives, it was developed a qualitative analysis and considered coordination and control forms of several authors. Also was considered Sander´s (1984) model of organizational performance. The mentioned model considers two criteria to analyze organizational performance: one instrumental (efficiency and efficacy) and other substantive (effectiveness e relevance). The research attempts to show the importance of balancing these criteria in a way that effectiveness and relevance becomes more important at schools. It was proven that the use of bureaucratic coordination forms has the power to influence the evaluation on the instrumental technique. At the same time, it was observed that the use of mechanisms based on the autonomy of the school is related to efficiency and efficacy. The object of this research can be considered successful

Esta dissertação incide sobre o tema da coordenação entre sistemas eólicos e fotovoltaicos que participam no mercado de eletricidade. A incerteza da potência eólica e fotovoltaica é uma caraterística predominante nesta coordenação, devendo ser considerada no planeamento ótimo de sistemas eólico-fotovoltaicos. A fim de modelizar a incerteza é apresentada uma metodologia de otimização estocástica baseada em programação linear para maximizar o lucro esperado de uma empresa produtora de energia elétrica que participa no mercado diário. A coordenação entre sistemas eólicos e fotovoltaicos visa mitigar os desequilíbrios de energia, resultantes das ofertas horárias submetidas no mercado diário e, consequentemente, reduzir as penalizações financeiras. Os resultados da coordenação entre um sistema eólico e um sistema fotovoltaico são comparados com os resultados obtidos para a operação não coordenada. Estes resultados permitem concluir que a metodologia desenvolvida aplicada à coordenação apresenta um lucro esperado superior ao lucro obtido para a operação não coordenada; Abstract Stochastic Optimization Methodology for Wind-Photovoltaic Coordination This dissertation focuses on the issue of coordination between wind and photovoltaic systems participating in electricity markets. The uncertainty of wind and photovoltaic power is a main characteristic of these systems, which must be included in the optimal scheduling of the coordination of wind with photovoltaic systems. In order to model the uncertainty is presented a stochastic approach based on linear programming to maximize the profit of a wind photovoltaic power producer which participates in electricity markets. The coordination of wind with photovoltaic systems aims to mitigate the energy deviations, as a result of the participation in day-ahead market and therefore reducing economic penalties. The results obtained by the coordination are compared to results obtained by the separated operation of wind and photovoltaic systems. The results allow concluding that the proposed approach applied to the coordination presents an expected profit higher than the expected profit without coordination.

The plants are often exposed to variations in environmental conditions that may trigger metabolic disturbances leading to a consequent loss in productivity of crops. These stressful conditions usually induce an accumulation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in the cell, a condition known how oxidative stress. Among these species, hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is an important molecule involved in numerous signaling mechanisms. The present study aimed to understand the relationship between the different enzymatic mechanisms of elimination of H2O2 by catalase (CAT) and ascorbate peroxidase (APX) in leaf tissues of seedlings of the species Vigna unguiculata L. Walp, under conditions of oxidative stress induced by application of CAT inhibitor, 3-amino-1,2,4-triazole (3-AT), and H2O2 itself on the roots. Three experiments were conducted. The first experiment was performed applying the compound 3-AT (5 mM) during the time (hours). In the second experiment, seedlings were exposed to different concentrations of H2O2 (2.5, 5.0, 7.5, 10 mM) for 48 h. The third strategy included the pre-treatment with H2O2 (2.5 mM) for 24 h, followed by subsequent treatment with the inhibitor 3-AT and recovery control condition. Treatment with 3-AT causes a strong inhibition of CAT activity in leaf tissues accompanied by an increase of activity of APX. However a decrease in oxidative damage to lipids is not observed as indicated by TBARS. It was observed that activity of APX is directly linked to the content of peroxide. Inductions in the activities of CAT and APX were observed mainly in the seedlings treated with 2.5 mM H2O2. This can be associated with a decrease in oxidative damage to lipids. In contrast, one same tendency was not observed in treatments with higher concentrations of this ROS. These results suggest that the concentration of 2.5 mM H2O2 can induce responses antioxidants later in seedling cowpea. This concentration when applied as pre-treatment for 24 h promoted an induction systems removers CAT and APX, both in activity and in terms of gene expression. However this increment was not observed in the recovered plants and the plants subsequently subjected to 3-AT. Additionally, the pretreatment was not sufficient to attenuate the inhibition of CAT activity and oxidative damage to lipids caused by the subsequent application of this inhibitor. The results showed that the application of 3-AT and H2O2 in the root systems of seedlings of cowpea promote changes in the parameters analyzed in leaf tissues that indicate a direct response to the presence of these factors or systemic signaling mecanisms. H2O2 appears to activate the responses of two antioxidant systems in this study thar does not promote greater protection in case of additional treatment with 3-AT. This demonstrates the importance of the CAT system. In this work, complete results indicate that there is a difference between the signaling and the effects caused by exposure to H2O2 and by treatment with 3-AT
