Para uma estética da cria����o: dedu����es bonaventurianas da teoria do verbo em Anselmo

Na distin����o 27 do Coment��rio ��s Senten��as de Pedro Lombardo, na quest��o onde o sentido pr��prio do conceito de ���Verbo��� se discute e se aclara, �� a autoridade do pensamento anselmiano, conforme a sua exposi����o nas p��ginas do Monologion, que Boaventura convoca para a conclus��o do problema e a resolu����o das dissens��es. Tomando, por isso, aquele texto como ponto de partida da nossa incurs��o sobre a filosofia do monge de Le Bec, procurar-se-�� reflectir sobre o car��cter mediador do Verbo no acto da cria����o e sobre o modo como este constitui a chave de interpreta����o da quest��o filos��fica do uno e do m��ltiplo. �� esta rela����o entre o uno e o m��ltiplo, na qual se encerra o mist��rio da cria����o, que encontrar��, por seu turno, junto da filosofia do Doutor Ser��fico, fortes resson��ncias estéticas, firmadas sobre uma concep����o de beleza, de matriz agostiniana, que a define como ���aequalitas numerosa���, que o mesmo seria dizer, como unidade da multiplicidade.

Richard Wagner: leitmotiv e música dram��tica

The present essay presents the content of the landmarks that punctuate the long dialogue between verbal language and musical language during the 19th century, by means of examples taken from the critical and theoretical writings of Hector Berlioz, Robert Schumann and Richard Wagner. In the search for the dramatic essence of music, such dialogue took different forms: the possibility of verbal language being translated by musical language, the pre-existence of a musical-poetic idea in any musical composition, eventually contributing to the appearance of program music, and finally, the principles presiding over Wagner���s Gesamtkunstwerk. Special emphasis is given to Richard Wagner���s Parisian article De l���Ouverture (1841), as well as to the impact on S��ren Kierkegaard.

A música e o devir

Process philosophies focus on becoming and often have recourse to the musical metaphor. Becoming is whole and indivisible. Bergson���s notion of dur��e coincides with the Whiteheadian notion of process. Becoming is duration. Every being is temporal; its very essence is temporality. The unveiling of each being is durational and has its own particular temporality; every creature���s individualization is in accordance with its own particular way of enduring. A melody is also whole and indivisible; its very meaning relates to its whole, undivided temporality. A note of music is nothing at an instant; the wholeness of its being thoroughly defines it.

Estética natural e ��tica ambiental, que rela����o?

This paper defends that environmental aesthetics provides a consistent basis for environmental philosophy, whereas aesthetic value plays an important role in the defense and preservation of natural areas. For several environmental philosophers the natural beauty is an inherent part of the ethical concern. Leopold states that ���a thing is right when it tends to preserve the integrity, the balance and the beauty of the biotic community���. Notwithstanding, aesthetic value is still not a central issue in the environmental debate. On the other hand, the ���positive aesthetics��� (Allen Carlson), which is a recent approach that reevaluates ���positively��� natural beauty in the ethical context, obtains a core of objections. This paper sketches a few arguments defending the contiguity between environmental aesthetics and environmental ethics: (i) the emotional perception of inclusiveness and engagement on the aesthetics appreciation of nature; (ii) the feelings of grace and love toward nature inherent to the nature���s aesthetic appreciation which according Kant announces the moral feeling; (iii) the ecological knowledge of natural beauty in order to understand the full meaning of it, and that includes some natural entities seen as not beautiful.

Perspetivas antropoc��ntricas e ecoc��ntricas da estética ambiental: contributos para a sustentabilidade

Estabelecem-se, aqui, poss��veis rela����es entre os conceitos de Desenvolvimento Sustent��vel, ��tica Ambiental e Estética Ambiental. Assim, come��a-se por analisar o conceito de Desenvolvimento Sustent��vel, na forma inicialmente proposta nos anos 80 do s��culo passado, e nas formas que resultaram da sua evolu����o. Depois, enquadra-se a ��tica de suporte ao Desenvolvimento Sustent��vel no quadro das teorias de ��tica Ambiental. Finalmente, abordam-se sumariamente algumas perspetivas de Estética Ambiental, com o objetivo principal de testar a capacidade da estética da natureza para suportar, primeiro uma ��tica, e finalmente uma pol��tica ambiental.

Campos de Dem��ter: da impossibilidade de separar a ci��ncia, a ��tica e a estética na hermen��utica da paisagem

Central conceptual terms, such as ���culture���, ���environment���, ���nature��� and ���landscape���, are far from being neutral scientific objects. They are academic constructions which need to be understood in their emergence across their historic contexts. Morality is a cultural expression determined by social domination and historical context, which gives it a sectary character. We need a moral theory that can be universal, timeless and that is able to guide the individual conduct, science and political ideologies, without considering the man the zenith of Life. Life, with its biodiversity, is only the tip of a complex Cosmos evolution, but we don���t know if our species, born on planet Earth, are the final link in the Cosmos evolution. To answer all these questions, a new ethical perspective was born, a theory built upon the principles of meta-ethics and applicable to all human activities. Environmental ethics are supported by two principles ��� the critique against anthropocentrism and the critique against ethnocentrism, giving a universal answer to the macro moral problems of our era ��� environmental, social, economical and political crisis, war and weapons of mass destruction��� And contributes towards rebuilding the human activities in all domains of individual and social life.
