A História da Filosofia da Educação em Portugal. Dos programas de ensino ao campo disciplinar (1976-2006), é um estudo que pretende sistematizar a actividade filosófica, realizada sobre a questão educacional por parte dos filósofos portugueses, directamente dedicados à docência desta disciplina, na Instituição universitária. A reunião de um espólio documental capaz de fundamentar a estruturação de uma hermenêutica discursiva acerca das condições formais inerentes à institucionalização do campo disciplinar, das matrizes filosófico-educacionais prementes, das relações estabelecidas entre os elementos do campo e a análise ao ethos dos filósofos da educação portugueses, foi elaborada em função da possibilidade de mapear o conjunto de temas, problemas, autores e concepções epistemológicas que, no arco temporal que o estudo compreende, se evidenciaram no campo disciplinar da Filosofia da Educação, a nível da sua presença nos programas de ensino e nos textos publicados pelos responsáveis pela docência da disciplina. O que este estudo pretende advogar, em última instância, é a militância, por parte dos filósofos da educação nacionais, na defesa da importância da presença da reflexão filosófica na questão educativa, o cariz humanista e antropológico que demarcou a identidade da Filosofia da Educação Portuguesa das demais e o depauperamento do estatuto académico da disciplina, no mundo académico nacional, face à sua potencialidade. Nesse propósito, começamos por analisar o processo de consolidação do campo disciplinar da Filosofia da Educação em Portugal, partindo da análise às condições apriorísticas que possibilitaram a institucionalização da disciplina para, seguidamente, nos debruçarmos sobre a realidade pretérita da sua emergência e presença disciplinar, nas diferentes Instituições para, a posteriori, esboçar o ethos dos filósofos da educação portugueses.

The History of Philosophy of Education in Portugal. From the teaching programs to the disciplinary field (1976-2006), is a study that aims to systematize the philosophical activity on the educational issue, by Portuguese philosophers directly dedicated to teaching this discipline at the University Institution. The documental collection to support the structuring of a discursive hermeneutics concerning the formal conditions attached to the institutionalization of the disciplinary field, the pressing philosophical and educational matrices, the relations between the elements of the field and the ethos analysis of the Portuguese philosophers of education was built according the ability to map the set of issues, problems, authors and epistemological concepts within the temporal arc that comprises the study, were revealed in the disciplinary field of philosophy of education at the level of its presence in the teaching programs and published texts by those responsible for teaching the discipline. What this study intends to advocate, ultimately, is the militancy on the part of the national philosophers of education to for the advocacy on the importance of the presence of philosophical reflection on the issue of education, of the humanistic and anthropological character which demarcated the identity of the Portuguese Philosophy of Education and the depletion of its academic status among the national academic world, given its potential . In this way, we begin by analyzing the process of consolidation of the disciplinary field of Philosophy of Education in Portugal, starting from the analysis of the a priori conditions that allowed the institutionalization of the discipline, to subsequently explain the past reality of their emergence and the disciplinary proceedings in the different institutions for the a posteriori outline of the ethos of the Portuguese philosophers of education.
