Пешева - Представен е хибриден експериментално-числен метод, работещ в реално време, за определяне на макроскопичния динамичен контактен ъгъл, който менискусът на течност в съд формира с вертикална пластина, която се потапя или издърпва с постоянна скорост от съда с течността. Този метод е приложим, когато системата е в стационарно състояние. Методът се базира на пълния хидродинамичен модел на Войнов. Той позволява да се получи числено с висока точност стационарната форма на профила на динамичния менискус (и от там ъгълът на наклон на менискуса) като се използва като гранично условие експериментално определената височина на менискуса на пластината.

Some Computational Aspects of the Consistent Mass Finite Element Method for a (semi-)periodic Eigenvalue Problem

We consider a model eigenvalue problem (EVP) in 1D, with periodic or semi–periodic boundary conditions (BCs). The discretization of this type of EVP by consistent mass finite element methods (FEMs) leads to the generalized matrix EVP Kc = λ M c, where K and M are real, symmetric matrices, with a certain (skew–)circulant structure. In this paper we fix our attention to the use of a quadratic FE–mesh. Explicit expressions for the eigenvalues of the resulting algebraic EVP are established. This leads to an explicit form for the approximation error in terms of the mesh parameter, which confirms the theoretical error estimates, obtained in [2].

An Iterative Method for the Matrix Principal n-th Root

In this paper we give an iterative method to compute the principal n-th root and the principal inverse n-th root of a given matrix. As we shall show this method is locally convergent. This method is analyzed and its numerical stability is investigated.

Method for Analytical Representation of the Maximum Inaccuracies of Indirectly Measurable Variable

Let us have an indirectly measurable variable which is a function of directly measurable variables. In this survey we present the introduced by us method for analytical representation of its maximum absolute and relative inaccuracy as functions, respectively, of the maximum absolute and of the relative inaccuracies of the directly measurable variables. Our new approach consists of assuming for fixed variables the statistical mean values of the absolute values of the coefficients of influence, respectively, of the absolute and relative inaccuracies of the directly measurable variables in order to determine the analytical form of the maximum absolute and relative inaccuracies of an indirectly measurable variable. Moreover, we give a method for determining the numerical values of the maximum absolute and relative inaccuracies. We define a sample plane of the ideal perfectly accurate experiment and using it we give a universal numerical characteristic – a dimensionless scale for determining the quality (accuracy) of the experiment.

Изследван е порядъка на разликите при температурите и концентрациите чрез тези начини. Когато активността на химическата реакция намалява, намаляват и разликите между концентрациите и температурите получени по двата начина. Parallel Algorithm for the Local Variations Method

До сега няма получено числено решение за формата на менискуса около стена, която е с хаотична хетерогенност. В настоящата статия е разработен алгоритъм за метода на локалните вариации, който може да се използва на многопроцесорни системи. С този метод е получен за първи път профила на равновесен течен менискус около вертикална стена с хаотична хетерогенност.
