Purpose: To describe orthoptic student satisfaction in a blended learning environment. Methods: Blended learning and teaching approaches that include a mix of sessions with elearning are being used since 2011/2012 involving final year (4th year) students from an orthoptic program. This approach is used in the module of research in orthoptics during the 1 semester. Students experienced different teaching approaches, which include seminars, tutorial group discussions and e-learning activities using the moodle platform. The Constructivist OnLine Learning Environment Survey (COLLES ) was applied at the end of the semester with 24 questions grouped in 6 dimensions with 4 items each: Relevance to professional practice, Reflection, Interactivity, Tutor support, Peer support and Interpretation. A 5-point Likert scale was used to score each individual item of the questionnaire (1 - almost never to 5 almost always). The sum of items in each dimension ranged between 4 (negative perception) and 20 (positive perception). Results: Twenty-four students replied to the questionnaire. Positive points were related with Relevance (16.132.63), Reflection (16.462.45), Tutor support (16.292.10) and Interpretation (15.382.16). The majority of the students (n=18; 75%) think that the on-line learning is relevant to students professional practice. Critical reflections about learning contents were frequent (n=19; 79.17%). The tutor was able to stimulate critical thinking (n=21; 87.50%), encouraged students to participate (n=18; 75%) and understood well the students contributions (n=15; 62.50%). Less positive points were related with Interactivity (14.132.77) and Peer support (13.292.60). Response from the colleagues to ideas (n=11; 45.83%) and valorization of individual contributions (n=10; 41.67%) scored lower than other items. Conclusions: The flow back and forth between face-to-face and online learning situations helps the students to make critical reflections. The majority of the students are satisfied with a blended e-learning system environment. However, more work needs to be done to improve interactivity and peer support.

Several antineoplasic drugs have been demonstrated to be carcinogenic or to have mutagenic and teratogenic effects. The greatest protection is achieved with the implementation of administrative and engineering controls and safety procedures. Objective: to evaluate the improvements on pharmacy technicians' work practices, after the implementation of operational procedures related to individual protection, biologic safety cabinet disinfection and cytotoxic drug preparation. Method: case-study in a hospital pharmacy undergoing a certification process. Six pharmacy technicians were observed during their daily activities. Characterization of the work practices was made using a checklist based on ISOPP and PIC guidelines. The variables studied concerning cleaning/disinfection procedures, personal protective equipment and procedures for preparing cytotoxic drugs. The same work practices were evaluated after four months of operational procedures implementation. Concordance between work practices and guidelines was considered to be a quality indicator (guidelines concordance practices number/total number of practices x 100). Results: improvements were observed after operational procedures implementation. An improvement of 6,25% in personal protective equipment practice was achieved by changing second pair of gloves every thirty minutes. The major progress, 10%, was obtained in disinfection procedure, where 80% of tasks are now realized according to guidelines.By now, we hot an improvement of only 1% at drug preparation procedure by placing one cytotoxic drug at a time inside the biological safety cabinet. Then, 85% of practices are according to guidelines. Conclusion: before operational procedures implementation 80,3% of practices were according to the guidelines, while now is 84,4%. This indicates that is necessary to review the procedures frequently in the benefit to reduce the risks associated with handling cytotoxic drugs and maintenance of drug specifications.

O Processo de Bolonha enfatiza as competncias de comunicao dos estudantes universitrios, nomeadamente os da sade. As concees dos professores tendem a variar com a idade e so importantes na formao das concees dos alunos. Objetivos Analisar a importncia e a satisfao que professores universitrios atribuem a diversas competncias de comunicao e a sua relao com a idade. Metodologia Foram avaliados 79 professores universitrios, entre os 29 e os 82 anos (M=41,89; DP=9,99), maioritariamente do sexo feminino (69,6%), atravs de um Questionrio Sciodemogrfico e das Escalas de Importncia (EI) e Satisfao (ES) do Questionrio de Competncias de Comunicao (QCC). Resultados Entre 1 a 4 participantes atriburam a 11 dos 26 itens da EI e a 7 dos 26 itens da ES o menor valor possvel. Houve tambm pelo menos um participante a atribuir o maior valor possvel a todos os itens da EI (entre 8 a 51 participantes) e da ES (entre 6 a 46 participantes). A competncia agradecer foi considerada a mais importante e satisfatria. A idade no se correlacionou com os itens da EI, correlacionando-se com responder a perguntas (r(78)=0,27, p0,02) e pedir feedback nas relaes sociais (r(78)=0,30, p0,008) da ES. Dado que competncias imprescindveis aos profissionais de sade obtiveram scores indicadores de baixa importncia (e.g., discordar, recusar pedidos, fazer pedidos, parafrasear), considera-se importante trabalhar a perceo de importncia dos professores universitrios que no parece variar com a idade. Competncias importantes para o trabalho do professor (e.g., recusar pedidos, pedir mudana de comportamento) obtiveram das mdias de satisfao mais baixas, sugerindo necessidade de treino.

A literatura descreve que as aes de endomarketing contribuem para a aproximao, interao e o bom relacionamento entre a empresa e os colaboradores. Sendo caracterizada como uma relao de troca, na qual a empresa fornece instrumentos capazes de promover o interesse dos colaboradores a participarem mais ativamente em toda a envolvente organizacional - atravs de aes que favoream o dilogo, sugestes, partilha de conhecimentos e informaes, bem como relatos de situaes corriqueiras ocorridas no dia-a-dia da empresa. Em contrapartida, medida que o colaborador se sente valorizado pela empresa e pelos colegas, passa a perceber a importncia do seu trabalho dentro da organizao, permitindo que identifique o trabalho como algo prazeroso. Esta troca contribui para a produtividade e desenvolvimento da empresa, bem como a satisfao e empenhamento dos colaboradores no trabalho. Neste sentido, visando averiguar como esta situao vivenciada na prtica decidiu-se pela realizao de um estgio, tendo como questo de estudo qual o impacto das aes de endomarketing no empenhamento e na satisfao dos clientes internos da PT PRO? Para responder a tal indagao foi realizado um estgio na empresa PT PRO, nomeadamente na Direo de Desenvolvimento de Mercado, Marketing e Formao. Apresentam-se ao longo do presente relatrio a descrio das especificidades do estgio, tal como as principais ilaes da retiradas tendo atravs de pesquisas documentais (arquivo e documentos internos e Intranet), reunies com a Direo de Marketing e com a tutora do estgio, tal como pela aplicao e anlise de um inqurito por questionrio aplicado aos colaboradores, chegando-se concluso que, de facto, as aes de endomarketing levadas a cabo pela empresa contribuem para o empenhamento e satisfao dos colaboradores.

The importance of the organizational relationship (senior managers) with an internal public (employees) is the main focus of this research, aiming to understand how this relationship differs between the different publics. Nowadays, the relevance attributed by Public Relations to this relationship is crucial. The main purpose is to identify two consistent models to measure the impact of an organizational relationship on the internal public. The second purpose is to identify how the internal public react to this organizational relationship, namely by gender. The research was conducted in nine Portuguese companies with a sample of 1.244 subjects in order to study the context of the relationship and validate the identified models. The results show the gender stereotypes in the relationship in these companies and that the organizational relationship has an impact on organizational commitment with a consistent model that highlights the impact of Public Relations on a company's productivity.
