abstract {The optical property, structure, surface properties (roughness and defect density) and laser-induced damage threshold (LIDT) of TiO2 films deposited by electronic beam (EB) evaporation of TiO2 (rutile), TiO2 (anatase) and TiO2 + Ta2O5 composite materials are comparatively studied. All films show the polycrystalline anatase TiO2 structure. The loose sintering state and phase transformation during evaporating TiO2 anatase slice lead to the high surface defect density, roughness and extinction coefficient, and low LIDT of films. The TiO2 + Ta2O5 composite films have the lowest extinction coefficient and the highest LIDT among all samples investigated. Guidance of selecting materials for high LIDT laser mirrors is given.}

利用傅里叶模式理论分析了具有高衍射效率的全内反射式衍射光栅在TE和TM偏振态下的近场光分布特点,讨论了光栅结构参数以及入射角度对光栅内电场增强的影响。结果表明:全内反射光栅内部电场分布对偏振态较敏感,光栅槽深和占宽比对电场增强影响较小,光栅内的峰值电场随光栅周期增大而增大,并且峰值电场随着入射角度的增大而减小。在应用于高功率激光时,降低光栅内部的电场增强可以有效降低损伤风险。

基于啁啾脉冲放大技术的超短脉冲激光系统是提供超快、超强激光的重要途径,具有良好输出波形和高损伤阈值的多层介质膜脉冲宽度压缩光栅是获得高峰值功率脉冲激光的关键。基于傅里叶谱变换方法和严格模式理论,分析了多层介质膜光栅(MDG)在超短脉冲作用下的光学特性。结果表明,当MDG的反射带宽小于具有高斯分布的入射脉冲的频谱宽度时,-1级反射脉冲呈非对称高斯分布,其前沿出现振荡,并且-1级反射脉冲能量开始剧烈下降,讨论了MDG结构参数对其反射带宽的影响。分析了MDG与超短脉冲作用时的近场光分布,对提高其抗激光损伤特性具

在千焦拍瓦高功率啁啾脉冲放大系统设计中,为了尽量消除增益窄化和增益饱和效应的影响,同时尽可能提高高功率激光输出脉冲信噪比参数,激光脉冲时空和光谱的整形问题备受关注.提出一种光谱整形新方法,利用特定结构的多层介质膜反射镜,可实现对大能量高功率啁啾脉冲钕玻璃放大系统中啁啾脉冲的光谱整形.研究结果表明,只要合理选择多层介质膜系的结构参数,可有效地控制其反射率分布,且在保证反射相位基本不变的条件下其调制度可超过60%.针对钕玻璃1053nm波长设计而成的光谱整形反射镜,反射带宽可达到196nm,色分辨率约为0.1nm,在几十纳米波长范围所对应的相位偏差小于12mrad,相当于λ/524,能够满足"神光Ⅱ"千焦拍瓦改造的技术指标要求.

综述了离子束辅助沉积技术在高功率激光薄膜制备中的应用研究进展。指出该技术在制备高激光损伤阈值的薄膜中存在的问题,即出现过高的堆积密度,会给薄膜带来杂质缺陷、化学计量比缺陷、损伤缺陷、晶界缺陷,制备薄膜的残余应力存在着压应力增加的趋势,会改变薄膜的晶体结构等。并指出了该研究领域的研究方向。

Electric field distributions inside resonant reflection filters constructed using planar periodic waveguides are investigated in this paper. The electric fields may be intensified by resonance effects. Although the resonant reflection peaks can be quite narrow using weakly modulated planar periodic waveguides, the strong electric field enhancement limits their use in high-power laser systems. Strongly modulated waveguides may be used to reduce the electric field enhancement and a cover layer may be used to narrow the bandwidth at the same time. Desired results (i.e. almost no electric field enhancement together with narrow bandwidth) can be realized using this simple structure.

High material quality is the basis of quantum cascade lasers (QCLs). Here we report the solid source molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) growth details of realizing high quality of InGaAs/InAlAs QCL structures. Accurate control of material compositions, layer thickness, doping profile, and interface smoothness can be realized by optimizing the growth conditions. Double crystal x-ray diffraction discloses that our grown QCL structures possess excellent periodicity and sharp interfaces. High quality laser wafers are grown in a single epitaxial run. Room temperature continuous-wave (cw) operation of QCLs is demonstrated.

The authors present an analysis of a plasmonic surface-wave splitter, simulated using a two-dimensional finite-difference time-domain technique. A single subwavelength slit is employed as a high-intensity nanoscale excitation source for plasmonic surface waves, resulting in a miniaturized light-surface plasmon coupler. With different surface structures located on the two sides of the slit, the device is able to confine and guide light waves of different wavelengths in opposite directions. Within the 15 mu m simulation region, it is found that the intensity of the guided light at the interface is roughly two to eight times the peak intensity of the incident light, and the propagation length can reach approximately 42 and 16 mu m and at the wavelengths of 0.63 and 1.33 mu m, respectively. A buried grating structure with a selectively grown absorptive InGaAsP layer was fabricated and characterized by scanning electron microscopy and photoluminescence. The InP corrugation was etched by introducing a SiO2 mask that was more stable than a conventional photoresist mask during the etching process. Moreover, the corrugation was efficaciously preserved during the selective growth of the absorptive layer with the SiO2 mask. Though this absorptive layer was only selectively grown on the concave region of the corrugation, it has a high intensity around the peak wavelength in comparison with that of InGaAlAs multiple quantum well, which was grown on the buried grating structure.

The effect of the growth temperature on the properties of InAlAs/AlGaAs quantum dots grown on GaAs(100) substrates is investigated. The optical efficiency and structural uniformity are improved by increasing the growth temperature from 530 to 560 degreesC. The improvements of InAlAs/AlGaAs quantum-dot characteristics could be explained by suppressing the incorporation of oxygen and the formation of group-III vacancies. Furthermore, edge-emitting laser diodes with six quantum-dot layers grown at 560 degreesC have been fabricated. Lasing occurs via the ground state at 725 nm, with a room-temperature threshold current density of 3.9 kA/cm(2), significantly better than previously reported values for this quantum-dot systems. A new-style silica planar lightwave circuit (PLC) hybrid integrated triplexer, which can demultiplex 1490-nm download data and 1550-nm download analog signals, as well as transmit 1310-nm upload data, is presented. It combines SiO2 arrayed waveguide gratings (AWGs) with integrated photodetectors (PDs) and a high performance laser diode (LD). The SiO2 AWGs realize the three-wavelength coarse wavelength-division multiplexing (CWDM). The crosstalk is less than 40 dB between the 1490- and 1550-nm channels, and less than 45 dB between 1310- and 1490- or 1550-nm channels. For the static performances of the integrated triplexer, its upload output power is 0.4 mW, and the download output photo-generated current is 76 A. In the small-signal measurement, the upstream 3-dB bandwidth of the triplexer is 4 GHz, while the downstream 3-dB bandwidths of both the analog and digital sections reach 1.9 GHz.

During the past. decades, large-scale national neutron sources have been developed in Asia, Europe, and North America. Complementing such efforts, compact hadron beam complexes and neutron sources intended to serve primarily universities and industrial institutes have been proposed, and some have recently been established. Responding to the demand in China for pulsed neutron/proton-beam platforms that are dedicated to fundamental and applied research for users in multiple disciplines from materials characterization to hadron therapy and radiography to accelerator-driven sub-critical reactor systems (ADS) for nuclear waste transmutation, we have initiated the construction of a compact, yet expandable, accelerator complex-the Compact Pulsed Hadron Source (CPHS). It consists of an accelerator front-end (a high-intensity ion source, a 3-MeV radio-frequency quadrupole linac (RFQ), and a 13-MeV drift-tube linac (DTL)), a neutron target station (a beryllium target with solid methane and room-temperature water moderators/reflector), and experimental stations for neutron imaging/radiography, small-angle scattering, and proton irradiation. In the future, the CPHS may also serve as an injector to a ring for proton therapy and radiography or as the front end to an ADS test facility. In this paper, we describe the design of the CPHS technical systems and its intended operation.

本文比较系统地介绍了扇聚焦回旋加速器内部的束流动力学及其注入系统的一般理论,并结合两台具体的扇聚焦回旋加速器的设计讨论了在回旋加速器以及静电反射镜内空间电荷效应对束流的影响。第一章简单介绍了回旋加速器的发展历史及分类、强流回旋加速器的应用,加速器驱动系统ADS(Accelerator Driving System)、能量放大器EA(Energy Amplifier)方案以及本文工作的主要内容。第二章首先介绍了扇聚焦回旋加速器的基本理论,包括扇聚焦回旋加速器内的轨道理论(静态平衡轨道及加速轨道性质)以及相空间的描述方法等。然后详细讨论了回旋加速器内空间电荷效应的影响及研究方法,包括空间电荷作用下粒子的运动方程、空间电荷电场的不同种类、求解空间电荷电场的基本方法和模型以及空间电荷效应对束流轨道特性和相空间传输特性的影响等。在本章的第4节中,介绍了两台强流扇聚焦回旋加速器(50MeV-6mA H_2~+超导扇聚焦回旋加速器和17MeV-2mA H~-扇聚焦回旋加速器)的具体设计步骤和计算结果,讨论了这两台扇聚焦回旋加速器中加速轨道和相空间的传输以及空间电荷效应的影响。最后,简单介绍了设计时所使用的两个计算程序AGORA_SCE和CINEZ_SCE。第三章首先简单介绍了用于扇聚焦回旋加速器的各种注入方法以及在轴向注入时所采用的不同种类的静电偏转镜。然后详细介绍了目前最常用的螺旋扇型静电偏转镜的基本工作原理,如参考粒子的运动轨道及偏转镜的光学性质等,讨论了螺旋线型静电偏转镜中空间电荷效应的影响。最后仍然以50MeV-6mAH_2~+和17MeV-2mA H~-这两台扇聚焦回旋加速器为例,对它们的静电偏转镜进行了设计,并分别研究了它们在空间电荷效应影响下的轨道特性及相空间传输特性。第四章简单介绍了工作中所用到的一些计算工具,如三维电磁场计算程序MAFIA以及等时场分析程序EQUIL,并给出了17MeV-2mA H~-扇聚焦回旋加速器的等时场的计算结果。论文的最后部分简单总结了本文的工作,并提出了今后进一步的工作设想。

延安燕沟流域属于水土流失治理的重点区,退耕还林(草)措施引起的生态环境改善和经济发展带动的山区道路建设压力对本地区侵蚀环境和侵蚀动力机制产生了巨大影响,坡面水土流失与道路水土流失对比关系发生了新变化。在坡面侵蚀得到初步治理的新环境下,道路侵蚀则上升为主要地位。依据燕沟流域2005年7月2日的5年一遇暴雨引起的不同土地利用类型下的侵蚀产沙监测结果,结合流域卡口站测得的流域产沙总量,分析各土地利用类型产沙量对流域总产沙量的贡献,并依据流域土地利用的演变,反演林草植被恢复与道路建设对流域泥沙来源的作用。研究结果表明:在次降雨条件下,道路的产沙强度为支道山路500 t/km2、干道山路3 163 t/km2、运油道路1万3500 t/km2,而农、林、草地的产沙强度为6~184 t/km2;道路产沙强度远大于农、林、草地的产沙强度:占流域面积1%的道路产沙量占总产沙量的42.3%,占流域面积70.5%的草地、灌木林地产沙量仅占流域的26.7%。退耕还林(草)措施使流域坡面产沙量大为降低,流域产沙量减少41.2%,但由于道路产沙量增加,抵消了减沙效益的58.0%,因此,黄土丘陵区植被恢复后,应将水土流失治理重点放在防止...

In recent years, the role of human activities in changing sediment yield has become more apparent for the construction of hydraulic engineering and water conservation projections in the Upper Yangtze River, but it has not been evaluated at the macro scale. Taking Sichuan Province and Chongqing City as an example, this paper studies the relationship between socio-economic factors and sediment yield in the Upper Yangtze River based on section data in 1989 and 2007. The results show that sediment yield is significantly correlated with population density and cultivated area, in which the former appears to be more closely related to sediment yield. Moreover, in the relation of sediment yield vs. population density, a critical value of population density exists, below which the sediment yield increases with the increase of population density and over which the sediment yield increases with the decrease of population density. The phenomenon essentially reflects the influence of natural factors, such as topography, precipitation and soil property, and some human activities on sediment yield. The region with a higher population density than critical value is located in the east of the study area and is characterized by plains, hills and low mountains, whereas the opposite is located in the west and characterized by middle and high mountains. In the eastern region, more people live on the lands with a low slope where regional soil erosion is slight; therefore, sediment yield is negatively related with population density. In contrast, in the western region, the population tends to aggregate in the areas with abundant soil and water resources which usually lead to a higher intensity of natural erosion, and in turn, high-intensity agricultural practices in these areas may further strengthen local soil erosion. It is also found that population tends to move from the areas with bad environment and high sediment yield to the areas with more comfortable environment and less sediment yield. The natural factors have greater influence on sediment yield of western region than that of eastern region. Generally, the natural factors play a dominant role on sediment yield in the Upper Yangtze River.
