By suppression subtractive hybridization, rapid amplification of cDNA ends and gene walking methods, interferon stimulated genes (ISGs), Viperin and ISG15, and their promoters have been cloned and characterized from snakehead Channa argus. The Viperin cDNA was found to be 1474 nt and contain an open reading frame (ORF) of 1059 nt that translates into a putative peptide of 352 amino acid (aa). The putative peptide of Viperin shows high identity to that in teleosts and mammals except for the N-terminal 70 aa. The ISG15 cDNA was found to be 758 nt and contain an ORF of 468 nt that translates into a putative peptide of 155 aa. The putative peptide of ISG15 is composed of two tandem repeats of ubiquitin-like (UBL) domains, and a canonical conjugation motif (LRGG) at C-terminal. Viperin and ISG15 promoter regions were characterized by the presence of interferon stimulating response elements (ISRE) and gamma-IFN activation sites (GAS). ISRE is a feature of IFN-induced gene promoter and partially overlaps interferon regulatory factor (IRF) 1 and IRF2 recognition sites. GAS is responsible for the gamma-IFN mediated transcription. One conserved site for NF-kappa B was found in the promoter region of Viperin. This is the first report of conservative binding motif for NF-kappa B in accordance with the consensus sequence (GGGRN-NYYCC) among teleost ISG promoters. Moreover, there were also TATA, CAAT and Sp1 transcription factor sites in Viperin and ISG15 promoters. In 5' untranslated region (UTR), snakehead ISG15 gene contains a single intron, which differs from Viperin gene. The transcripts of Vipeirn and ISG15 mRNA were mainly expressed in head kidney, posterior kidney, spleen and gill. The expression levels in liver were found to increase obviously in response to induction by IFN-inducer poly I : C.

A settlement inhibition assay using barnacle cyprid larvae, Balanus amphitrite, was developed with Cd2+ and phenol as standard reference toxicants. Mean percentage settlement of cyprid larvae showed a progressive reduction with increasing concentrations of Cd2+ and phenol. A significant reduction in settlement was found when cyprids were exposed to 0.1 mgL(-1) Cd2+ or 10 mgL(-1) phenol. The assay was used to assess the sublethal toxicity of three oil dispersants (Vecom B-1425 GL, Norchem OSD-570 and Corexit 9905) commonly used in Hong Kong waters. Results of this investigation show that the barnacle settlement inhibition assay can be incorporated into the battery of tests currently available for ecotoxicological assessment of marine contaminants. We report experiments on high de current stressing in commercial III-V nitride based heterojunction light-emitting diodes. Stressing currents ranging from 100 mA to 200 mA were used. Degradations in the device properties were investigated through detailed studies of the current-voltage (I-V) characteristics, electroluminescence, deep-level transient Fourier spectroscopy and flicker noise. Our experimental data demonstrated significant distortions in the I-V characteristics subsequent to electrical stressing. The room temperature electro-luminescence of the devices exhibited a 25% decrement in the peak emission intensity. Concentration of the deep-levels was examined by deep-level transient Fourier spectroscopy, which indicated an increase in the density of deep-traps from 2.7 x 10(13) cm(-3) to 4.2 x 10(13) cm(-3) at E-1 = E-C - 1.1 eV. The result is consistent with our study of 1/f noise, which exhibited up to three orders of magnitude increase in the voltage noise power spectra. These traps are typically located at energy levels beyond the range that can be characterized by conventional techniques including DLTS. The two experiments, therefore, provide a more complete picture of trap generation due to high dc current stressing.

提出了将混合约束问题转化为混合整数规划问题的方法.用约束求解方法及混合整数规划方法共同求解混合约束问题可以令二者相互借鉴,从而促进二者求解技术的进一步发展.同时,由混合约束问题转化而来的混合整数规划问题也可作为求解混合整数规划问题的测试问题(benchmarks).

通过有源实时监控系统,采用手动和自动相结合的方法,将光纤、silica基阵列波导光栅(AWG)、1310 nm激光器(LD)平台和1490 nm、1550 nm探测器(PD)平台用紫外同化胶混合集成为一新型单纤三向器.在耦合集成过程中,LD在15 mA偏置电流下,三向器的上行出纤功率大约为-4 dBm,LD和波导的耦合效率大约40%;当三向器输入1 550 nm光功率为1 mW,PD在2.6 V反向偏压下,下行输出光电流大约为76 μA,波导和PD的耦合效率大约为42%.三向器中采用了对管PD集成方法.

利用离子束辅助沉积技术在金刚石薄膜衬底上制备立方氮化硼薄膜,傅立叶变换红外谱的结果表明,在高度(001)织构金刚石薄膜衬底上沉积的立方氮化硼薄膜是纯的立方相,而在多晶金刚石薄膜衬底上制备的立方氮化硼薄膜中还含少量的六角氮化硼.高分辨透射电镜的分析表明,在金刚石晶粒上异质外延的c-BN直接成核于金刚石衬底,界面没有六角氮化硼过渡层;而在含有大量缺陷的晶粒边界,存在六角氮化硼的成核与生长.

用射频等离子体辅助分子束外延技术(RF-MBE)在C面蓝宝石衬底上外延了高质量的GaN膜以及AlGaN/GaN极化感应二维电子气材料。所外延的GaN膜室温背景电子浓度为2×10~(17)cm~(-3),相应的电子迁移率为177cm~2/(V·s);GaN(0002)X射线衍射摇摆曲线半高宽(FWHM)为6';AlGaN/GaN极化感应二维电子气材料的室温电子迁移率为730cm~2(V·s),相应的电子气面密度为7.6×10~(12)cm~(-2);用此二维电子气材料制作的异质结场效应晶体管(HFET)室温跨导达50mS/mm(栅长1μm),截止频率达13GHz(栅长0.5μm)。
