Existen en la mente muchos recuerdos y aquellos que marcan aun más son aquellos de la niñez. Para muchos colombianos el Chocoramo hace parte de esos recuerdos; ya sea en la lonchera, en recreos, o en la alacena de casa. Esta porción de ponqué cubierta con chocolate representa algunas de las cosas que los colombianos apreciamos. El Chocoramo es un ponqué simple, tradicional, fresco, rico y conveniente para calmar el hambre cuando no el tiempo es escaso. Por lo que significa, por hacer parte de nuestros recuerdos y porqué crecimos comiendo Chocoramo; sin duda alguna este ponqué de empaque naranja hace parte de la tradición colombiana. Si bien la innovación continua en empaque y producto se convierte en la clave del éxito para muchas de las firmas, Productos Ramo nos enseña que no podemos olvidar quienes son nuestros clientes y cuál es la razón por la que aprecian nuestros productos, para el consumidor del ponqué Chocoramo significa mucho más que un lindo empaque.

El desarrollo más reciente de los puentes arco ha llevado a una nueva tipología: los “puentes arco espaciales”. Se entiende por puente arco espacial todo puente arco en el que, por su configuración geométrica y estructural, las cargas gravitatorias generan esfuerzos no contenidos en el plano del arco. Por un lado, aparecen para satisfacer las necesidades funcionales cuando estructuras en arco resultan las más adecuadas para sostener tableros curvos y evitar así apoyos intermedios. Desde un punto de vista estético, surgen como demanda de los nuevos puentes en entornos urbanos, buscando, no sólo una forma cuidada, sino persiguiendo convertirse en emblemas de la ciudad a partir de la originalidad y la innovación. Su proyecto y construcción es posible gracias a las grandes posibilidades que ofrecen los nuevos métodos de cálculo y dibujo por ordenador, en los que, a través del incremento de memoria y rapidez, cada vez se emplean programas más completos y nuevas modelizaciones, más cercanas a la realidad. No menos importante es el desarrollo de los medios auxiliares de construcción y de las herramientas de CAD/CAM, que convierte en construibles por control numérico formas de manufactura impensables. Ello trasciende en infinitas posibilidades de diseño y estructura. Sin embargo, el diseño y construcción de estas nuevas tipologías no ha estado acompañado por el avance en el estado del conocimiento fundamentado en la investigación, ya que se han desarrollado pocos estudios que explican parcialmente la respuesta estructural de estos puentes. Existe, por lo tanto, la necesidad de profundizar en el estado del conocimiento y clarificar su respuesta estructural, así como de plantear, finalmente, criterios de diseño que sirvan de apoyo en las fases de concepción y de proyecto a estas nuevas tipologías.

This research wants to lay emphasis on topics that historicize and rescue concepts, in addition, shows the relation between innovation and socioeconomic development resulted; reviews the legal framework to stimulate new innovation into Brazilian society; considers the definition and the entrepreneur university's new paradigm; and finally, this research highlights the importance of teaching entrepreneur at universities, with straight society benefits. The results suggests that innovation is directly enrolled with a successful development of certain society, as well, is actually the biggest business competitive differential into corporative universe. In one way of getting results of social advancement to inform entrepreneur research practice, it appears that entrepreneurs concepts, necessarily, must be incorporated into the array of Science/Technology/Innovation for the effective development of supported formula. This article develops a thought about actual scientific researches paradigm, the way that is built on today, and if it's sufficient to effectively get the results that society expects from main bodies to create human resource and researches, especially those with innovation aspects, at Brazilian economic improvement.

The aim of this paper is to analyze the process of knowledge creation when developing high technology products in projects having various innovation degrees. The main contribution to the literature is the systematization of an approach to analyze knowledge creation during the product innovation process. Three innovation projects developed by a company specialized in industrial automation systems were investigated using case studies. The knowledge creation processes, which took place in these three projects, were analyzed comparatively. As a distinctive result of this paper, the main features of the knowledge creation processes influenced by a degree of technological innovation are identified.

In this study, the innovation approach is used to estimate the measurement total error associated with power system state estimation. This is required because the power system equations are very much correlated with each other and as a consequence part of the measurements errors is masked. For that purpose an index, innovation index (II), which provides the quantity of new information a measurement contains is proposed. A critical measurement is the limit case of a measurement with low II, it has a zero II index and its error is totally masked. In other words, that measurement does not bring any innovation for the gross error test. Using the II of a measurement, the masked gross error by the state estimation is recovered; then the total gross error of that measurement is composed. Instead of the classical normalised measurement residual amplitude, the corresponding normalised composed measurement residual amplitude is used in the gross error detection and identification test, but with m degrees of freedom. The gross error processing turns out to be very simple to implement, requiring only few adaptations to the existing state estimation software. The IEEE-14 bus system is used to validate the proposed gross error detection and identification test.

There are several tools in the literature that support innovation in organizations. Some of the most cited are the so-called technology roadmapping methods, also known as TRM. However, these methods are designed primarily for organizations that adopt the market pull strategy of technology-product integration. Organizations that adopt the technology push integration strategy are neglected in the literature. Furthermore, with the advent of open innovation, it is possible to note the need to consider the adoption of partnerships in the innovation process. Thus, this study proposes a method of technology roadmapping, identified as method for technology push (MTP), applicable to organizations that adopt the technology push integration strategy, such as SMEs and independent research centers in an open-innovation environment. The method was developed through action-research and was assessed from two analytical standpoints: externally, via a specific literature review on its theoretical contributions, and internally, through the analysis of potential users` perceptions on the feasibility of applying MTP. The results indicate both the unique character of the method and its perceived implementation feasibility. This paper reviews the attitudes, skills and knowledge that engineering innovators should possess. It critically analyses and compares sets of graduate attributes from the USA, Australia and Malaysia in terms of which of these relate to the ability to innovate. Innovation can be described as an integrative, meta attribute that overarches most of the other graduate attributes. Due to the “graduate attribute paradox”, it is shown how meeting the stated attributes of graduates by industry does not necessarily satisfy the requirements of industry. It is argued that the culture of the engineering school is an important influence on fostering innovation in engineers.

Some diverse indicators used to measure the innovation process are considered, They include those with art aggregate, and often national, focus, and rely on data from scientific publications, patents and R&D expenditures, etc. Others have a firm-level perspective, relying primarily on surveys or case studies. Also included are indicators derived from specialized databases, or consensual agreements reached through foresight exercises. There is an obvious need for greater integration of the various approaches to capture move effectively the richness of available data and better reflect the reality of innovation. The focus for such integration could be in the area of technology strategy, which integrates the diverse scientific, technological, and innovation activities of firms within their operating environments; improved capacity to measure it has implications for policy-makers, managers and researchers.

Many models exist in the literature to explain the success of technological innovation. However, no studies have been made regarding graphic formats representing the technological innovation models and their impact, or on the understanding of these models by non-specialists in technology management. Thus, the main objective of this paper is to propose a new graphic configuration to represent the technological innovation management. Based on the literature, the innovation model is presented in the traditional format. Next, the same model is designed in the graphic format - named `the see-saw of competitiveness` - showing the interfaces among the identified factors. The two graphic formats were compared by a group of graduate students in terms of the ease in understanding the conceptual model of innovation. The statistical analysis shows that the seesaw of competitiveness is preferred.

We describe administrative reform involving management innovation undertaken at the Superior Tribunal of Justice, Brazil`s highest appellate court for infra-constitutional cases. The innovation is the introduction of a new management model based on strategic planning and a process management approach to work processes. Introduction of the new model has been supported by the use of information technology and project management techniques. Qualitative methods were used for data collection and analysis. Findings reveal that the innovation is contributing to the development of a systemic overview of key processes, reducing the fragmenting effects of the division of work activities within the Tribunal. At least three new organizational routines or capabilities have been developed as a result of the innovation studied: Electronic Court Management, Project Management, and Process Management. The paper contributes to knowledge about court management, a field that has received little research attention in the public administration literature.

This article assesses if innovators outperform non-innovators in Brazilian manufacturing during 1996-2002. To do so, we begin with a simple theoretical model and test the impacts of technological innovation (treatment) on innovating firms (treated) by employing propensity score matching techniques. Correcting for the survivorship bias in the period, it was verified that, on an average, the accomplishment of technological innovations produces positive and significant impacts on the employment, the net revenue, the labor productivity, the capital productivity, and market share of the firms. However, this result was not observed for the mark-up. Especially, the net revenue reflects more robustly the impacts of the innovations. Quantitatively speaking, innovating firms experienced a 10.8-12.5 percentage points (p.p. henceforth) higher growth on employment, a 18.1-21.7 p.p. higher growth on the net revenue, a 10.8-11.9 p.p. higher growth on labor productivity, a 11.8-12.0 p.p. higher growth on capital productivity, and a 19.9-24.3 p.p. higher growth on their market share, relative to the average of the non-innovating firms in the control group. It was also observed that the conjunction of product and process innovations, relative to other forms of innovation, presents the stronger impacts on the performance of Brazilian firms.
