Usando a história da resolução de alguns problemas para introduzir conceitos: sistemas lineares, determinantes e matrizes.

In this work we studied the method to solving linear equations system, presented in the book titled "The nine chapters on the mathematical art", which was written in the first century of this era. This work has the intent of showing how the mathematics history can be used to motivate the introduction of some topics in high school. Through observations of patterns which repeats itself in the presented method, we were able to introduce, in a very natural way, the concept of linear equations, linear equations system, solution of linear equations, determinants and matrices, besides the Laplacian development for determinants calculations of square matrices of order bigger than 3, then considering some of their general applications

Sistematização da assistencia de enfermagem numa UTI geral: um contributo para a sua implementação

Enquadramento: A Sistematização da Assistência de Enfermagem (SAE) contribui de forma significativa para a qualidade da assistência prestada ao cliente e, as ações de enfermagem, são delineadas e individualizadas, transmitindo maior segurança, estabilidade e veracidade para o cliente e toda a equipe envolvida neste processo. Objetivo: O estudo teve como objetivo identificar os conhecimentos da equipe de enfermagem sobre a SAE e a sua participação nesse processo, revestindo-se em benefícios por sensibilizar a equipe de enfermagem da UTI Geral para a implementação de um modelo de SAE composto pelas etapas do PE: Histórico, Diagnóstico, Prescrição e Evolução de Enfermagem. Metodologia: Trata-se de um estudo descritivo de abordagem quantitativa. Para a colheita de dados utilizamos um questionário elaborado para o efeito. O estudo decorreu entre o período setembro a dezembro de 2014, no Hospital Agamenon Magalhães, Recife, Brasil, numa amostra de 650 profissionais de enfermagem. Resultados: Pelos resultados do estudo verificamos que 84,4% (190) dos profissionais inquiridos demonstram ter conhecimentos sobre a SAE, 97,8% (220) concordam sobre a sua importância no planeamento da assistência e, consequentemente, com a implementação do processo, embora 41,8% (94) não manifestem motivação para trabalhar com a mesma. Conclusão: O estudo da SAE e sua implementação é de suma importância desenvolvendo competências, treinamentos e motivações para que o cuidado possa ser de qualidade. Também há necessidade de estimular e preparar os profissionais de enfermagem para atuarem de forma sistematizada junto do paciente, através do processo de enfermagem, numa relação interpessoal e marcada pela competência científica, técnica e ética. Elaboração de material pré-composicional através de expansão de procedimentos do sistema Schillinger de composição musical

The work aims at investigating possibilities of extending compositional procedures, based on the Schillinger System of Musical Composition (SSMC). I start by elaborating a brief historical review on SSMC, which is followed by a critical review of the System. The work includes a state of the art on the research on this topic, performed upon analysis of the current work conducted by a research group from the UFRN Music School from which I also make part. The main line of the research is to elaborate on the suggestion of extending the SSMC concept of place of attack to the idea of place of instrumentation, through developing a binary instrumentation procedure. The experimentation on the thesis‟ hypothesis is presented in my composition titled “Suíte Grega” (Greek Suite), a compositional memoir for Oboe, Saxophone and 3 Cellos.

Técnicas estendidas para saxofone em obras compostas por meio de colaboração compositor-intérprete

This dissertation deals with the use of extended techniques for the saxophone in the piece Minus (for solo saxophone in Bb), composed through a composer-performer collaboration between Agamenon de Morais and the saxophonist Kleber Dessoles. The text is organized in the following manner: the first part brings the historical background of the concert music written for the saxophone since the beginning of the 20th-century, exploring the use of extended tehcniques and the main characters and historical facts of this period, with data obtained through a literature review; the second part deals with the issue of the composer-performer collaboration, since cases documented in the 18th and 19th centuries until nowadays, exploring in which different ways collaborations may happen and the motivations behind them; the third and final part is about the specific work, followed by a detailed description of the collaboration between the composer and the interpreter, as well as detailed explanations about the extended techniques present in the work (multiphonics and flatterzunge), through bibliographic and documental research, as well as descriptions of the meetings between composer and interpreter. At the end of the collaborative process, one may say that the final result was created from a sum of the composer's knowledge with the interpreter's, almost as if the composition had double authorship. The document describing this process may help composers and interpreters in composing for the saxophone, as well as guide future collaborative experiences.
