Observatoire des usages étudiants universitaires d’un système éducatif de gestion intégré

Les universités recourent de plus en plus souvent à des plateformes technologiques afin d’administrer les processus éducatifs et faciliter les tâches administratives des étudiants. Cependant, ces changements sont conséquents et engendrent souvent de nombreuses difficultés d’implémentation. C’est dans ce cadre qu’un Observatoire des usages étudiants d’un système éducatif de gestion intégré a été créé. Cet observatoire a pour missions d’identifier les facteurs de satisfaction et de fournir des recommandations à l’université. Plusieurs méthodologies (groupes de discussion, tests d’utilisabilité, questionnaires) ont été utilisées. Les résultats montrent que ce sont les difficultés et insatisfactions dues au système utilisé et aux informations présentes sur ce système qui influencent négativement l’acceptabilité du système. La création d’un tel observatoire permet tout à la fois d’étudier l’acceptabilité et la satisfaction des utilisateurs, de différencier l’impact des facteurs personnels et techniques, de s’interroger sur les processus d’évaluation des outils lors de leur implémentation.

Legacy Resource Management Program Archaeological Reconnaissance Survey, United States Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD.

The Archaeological Reconnaissance Survey of United States Naval Academy will provide the Navy with a rich understanding of the history of this property. A National Register of Historic Places District, such as the Academy, deserves a thorough analysis of its past, in order to preserve what exists and to plan for the future. The goal of this project is to investigate the history of the Academy through traditional historic research, innovative computer analysis of historic maps, oral history interviews, and tract histories. This information has been synthesized to provide the Navy with a planning tool for Public Works, a concise look at the cartographic history of the Academy, and reference manual of the vast amounts of information which have been gathered during the course of this project. This information can serve as a reference tool to help the Public Works department comply with Section 106 regulations of the Historic Sites Preservation Act, with regard to construction. It can also serve as a source of cartographic history for those interested in the Academy's physical development, and as a way of preserving the culture of residents in Annapolis. This program and archaeological survey will ultimately serve to add to the rich history of the United States Naval Academy while preserving an important part of our nation's heritage.

Analyse phytogéographique comparative des savanes et des forêts de Ngotto (République Centrafricaine)

After several investigations on the savanna and forest of Ngotto (Central African Republic), we propose a phytogeographical interpretation of our data on the systematic (level family), the biological forms, the dispersion of diaspores and phytogeographical elements spectra. These spectra are given regarding both formation type (savanna, forest) to appreciate their originality. Then, a comparaison is driven in order to set up the differences between these two formations.

Les derniers écueils vers la parité politique en Belgique: Une analyse des élections régionales de 2004

In Belgium, gender-parity has been compulsory for all party lists (in local, regional, federal and European elections) for several years. As a result, the proportion of women has risen from a fourth up to a third of the deputies. Yet, strict parity is still far from realised. This article seeks to establish what causes this glass ceiling, namely the parties' reluctance to place female candidates in the top positions or even as the front-runner. In a proportional representation system with half-open lists, and especially when the constituencies are small, this automatically leads to a smaller proportion of women among the elected deputies. One important reason for the parties' reluctance to rank female candidates higher is their assumption that women are less effective as "election locomotives" than men. However, the analysis of the Belgian election results makes clear that this is not the case. Female candidates in top positions are as successful as their male counterparts. © (2008) Swiss Political Science Review.
