Notes on the psychological practices developed in social work entities that serve poor children and adolescents We understand that psychology, along with Pedagogy is part of the assumptions that compose the multidisciplinary field that comprises the socioeducative action of social work entities that serve poor children and adolescents considered in “personal and social risk”. What kinds of Psychology practices could be found in these institutions? We find evidence that the age minority logic still in force in many social work entities - that implement predominantly disciplinary and repressive, correctional and shaping forms of care, - dispense with psychology as a social transformation practice. When we find professional psychologists in social work entities, it is not uncommon for them to develop extremely traditional, psychotherapeutic, patologization actions for the individual, and to promote actions of orthopedic behavior, and therefore they may be called "technicians of conduct." This psychology is not aligned with the citizen and empowering perspective proposed by the Statute of Children and Adolescent, based on the fundamental concept of the social subject of rights.

Propuestas para introduccíon de nanociencia y nanotecnología en escuelas pre universitarias

Effective pedagogical practices for teaching Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in the pre-university education are suggested. The proposals are based on the scientific and didactical experience of the authors, on the study of the available literature and on a diagnosis of the knowledge and interest of the students. Modern society is characterized by the advance of technologies, the emergence and constant development of the technological field is responsible for a series of population adjustments, that being practically molded and daily transformed by media, which usually has the power of manipulating opinions and public approaches in every capacity and extensions of our lives, being a significantly and important tool, which most part of individuals in contemporary society can't work and live without, therefore most part of individuals depend on the use of many technological means, including social means, which have great relationship with the development and emergence of many psychological problems that completely impact on the social life of affected individuals, thus Physical Education is an area with the goal of verifying the level of influence that media reflects on the lifestyle choice to be followed and the relation of this influence with the presence and development of a series of psychological disorders that affect directly the health of those individuals. It has been gathered data about the subject according to scientific basis, more specifically, on Academic Google, Scielo and Pubmed, where it has been researched scientific articles that could contribute with the data and information to complete the text. The psychology of sports is an area of studies and knowledge that investigates and develops insight about these questions, making available scientifically tested and proven materials that supports the P.E. professional, that is connected in the practical field to visualize possible chained symptoms of these psychopathologies according to the development of these psychic disorders, that are usually common in current days, more precisely, disorders such as Anorexia, Vigorexia, self-dependence to physical exercise and selfcorporal dissapproval. Alcances y limitaciones actuales de la actividad experimental en escuelas de Enseñanza Media de la provincia Santiago de Cuba: criterios de alumnos y profesores

El propósito de este estudio es explorar el estado actual de desarrollo de las actividades experimentales en la asignatura de Física en escuelas de Enseñanza Media de la provincia de Santiago de Cuba ya que constituye un aspecto medular en la construcción del conocimiento científico. Para la recogida de la información se utilizaron dos instrumentos: una encuesta y una entrevista que fueron aplicadas a 268 alumnos y 18 profesores de cinco escuelas con entornos socioculturales diferentes. Los datos obtenidos de las encuestas de ambos sujetos están referidos a: la existencia o no de infraestructura de laboratorio en las escuelas, las características de sus participaciones en los laboratorios y la frecuencia de realización de los mismos. Complementan esta información sus opiniones expresadas en las respuestas a las entrevistas, donde se destaca el papel que atribuyen a los experimentos en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje. Los resultados indican un incremento en la motivación y en la asimilación de los contenidos por parte de los alumnos que participaron en las demostraciones experimentales en las escuelas con infraestructura de laboratorio. Se manifiestan también limitaciones en el orden material con énfasis en las escuelas más alejadas del centro de la ciudad de Santiago de Cuba y de preparación de los profesores para una eficiente utilización del instrumental que poseen en función de la docencia.
