[ES] In this paper we address the problem of inserting virtual content in a video sequence. The method we propose uses just image information. We perform primitive tracking, camera calibration, real and virtual camera synchronisation and finally rendering to insert the virtual content in the real video sequence. To simplify the calibration step we assume that cameras are mounted on a tripod (which is a common situation in practise). The primitive tracking procedure, which uses lines and circles as primitives, is performed by means of a CART (Classification and Regression Tree). Finally, the virtual and real camera synchronisation and rendering is performed using functions of OpenGL (Open Graphic Library). We have applied the method proposed to sport event scenarios, specifically, soccer matches. In order to illustrate its performance, it has been applied to real HD (High Definition) video sequences. The quality of the proposed method is validated by inserting virtual elements in such HD video sequence.

[EN] Research background and hypothesis. Several attempts have been made to understand some modalities of sport from the point of view of complexity. Most of these studies deal with this phenomenon with regard to the mechanics of the game itself (in isolation). Nevertheless, some research has been conducted from the perspective of competition between teams. Our hypothesis was that for the study of competitiveness levels in the system of league competition our analysis model (Shannon entropy), is a useful and highly sensitive tool to determine the degree of global competitiveness of a league. Research aim. The aim of our study was to develop a model for the analysis of competitiveness level in team sport competitions based on the uncertainty level that might exist for each confrontation. Research methods. Degree of uncertainty or randomness of the competition was analyzed as a factor of competitiveness. It was calculated on the basis of the Shannon entropy. Research results. We studied 17 NBA regular seasons, which showed a fairly steady entropic tendency. There were seasons less competitive (? 0.9800) than the overall average (0.9835), and periods where the competitiveness remained at higher levels (range: 0.9851 to 0.9902). Discussion and conclusions. A league is more competitive when it is more random. Thus, it is harder to predict the fi nal outcome. However, when the competition is less random, the degree of competitiveness will decrease signifi cantly. The NBA is a very competitive league, there is a high degree of uncertainty of knowing the fi nal result.

[EN] This work presents the findings of a participatory research program evaluating the outcomes of an Italian sports program for minors at risk. Using a participatory evaluation approach enabled an evaluation-research close to the real objectives and useful for monitoring and e-planning actions, starting from an initial exploration of the different stakeholders’ views of the project itself. The research design is presented in the form of a case study, emphasizing the continuous involvement of the project’s stakeholders in the evaluation process. The outcomes here presented make evident how the participatory evaluation project allowed a targeted and ongoing monitoring at group level as well as at individual level with the minors involved in the project.

[EN] The need for stronger credentialing in the field of sports is recommended because of the complex issues modern sports face. A brief overview of the development of professional credentials/licensure is provided to set the rationale for the need for accreditation in the field of sports. The research reviewed supports the need for accreditation of both the individual professionals that serve sports and athletes and the schools and institutions as well. This research points to the similar developmental path that other licensed/credentialed professions have followed leading up to their regulation. Accreditation by the International association is offered as an answer to this need for certification.

With the business environments no longer confined to geographical borders, the new wave of digital technologies has given organizations an enormous opportunity to bring together their distributed workforce and develop the ability to work together despite being apart (Prasad & Akhilesh, 2002). resupposing creativity to be a social process, the way that this phenomenon occurs when the configuration of the team is substantially modified will be questioned. Very little is known about the impact of interpersonal relationships in the creativity (Kurtzberg & Amabile, 2001). In order to analyse the ways in which the creative process may be developed, we ought to be taken into consideration the fact that participants are dealing with a quite an atypical situation. Firstly, in these cases socialization takes place amongst individuals belonging to a geographically dispersed workplace, where interpersonal relationships are mediated by the computer, and where trust must be developed among persons who have never met one another. Participants not only have multiple addresses and locations, but above all different nationalities, and different cultures, attitudes, thoughts, and working patterns, and languages. Therefore, the central research question of this thesis is as follows: “How does the creative process unfold in globally distributed teams?” With a qualitative approach, we used the case study of the Business Unit of Volvo 3P, an arm of Volvo Group. Throughout this research, we interviewed seven teams engaged in the development of a new product in the chassis and cab areas, for the brands Volvo and Renault Trucks, teams that were geographically distributed in Brazil, Sweden, France and India. Our research suggests that corporate values, alongside with intrinsic motivation and task which lay down the necessary foundations for the development of the creative process in GDT.

Vor dem Hintergrund ziel- und handlungstheoretischer Annahmen wurde ein Untersuchungskonzept zur Erklärung und Vorhersage interindividueller Unterschiede im Sportverhalten entwickelt. Es wurde überprüft, ob Ziele in Abhängigkeit von ihrem Inhalt und individuumsspezifischen Merkmalen der Zielrepräsentation die Handlungsausführung beeinflussen. Zusätzlich wurden Persönlichkeitsmerkmale als mögliche das Verhalten indirekt beeinflussende Variablen einbezogen. In einer ersten Untersuchung konnten die notwendigen Messverfahren zur Erfassung der modellrelevanten Variablen an einer Stichprobe von 470 Sportlern und Nichtsportlern konstruiert und teststatistisch überprüft werden. Darüber hinaus ließen sich durch einen Vergleich der Personengruppen unterschiedlichen Aktivitätsniveaus Hinweise auf die Relevanz der Einflussfaktoren in den unterschiedlichen Handlungsphasen erhalten. Die Stichprobe der zweiten Studie setzte sich aus 141 Teilnehmern angeleiteter Sportprogramme zusammen. Alle Teilnehmer wurden sowohl während der Dauer der mehrwöchigen Sportprogramme wie auch nach einem drei- und sechsmonatigen Zeitraum nach Beendigung der Sportkurse hinsichtlich der interessierenden Variablen befragt. Durch die Erfassung der Teilnahmehäufigkeit an den Kursen konnte die Regelmäßigkeit sportlicher Aktivität objektiv erfasst werden. Gleichzeitig wurde durch die Ausweitung auf einen sechsmonatigen Bebachtungszeitraum nach Ablauf der Sportprogramme die Analyse von Determinanten der langfristigen Verhaltensaufrechterhaltung möglich. Insgesamt bestätigen die Ergebnisse beider Studien eine ziel- und handlungstheoretische Sichtweise. Die Relevanz potentieller Verhaltensdeterminanten im Sport kann nur in Abhängigkeit der prädezisionalen, präaktionalen, aktionalen und postaktionalen Handlungsphase beurteilt werden, und Feedbackprozesse sowie Veränderungen in der Ausprägung einzelner Determinanten müssen berücksichtigt werden. Abschließend wurde ein modifiziertes Modell zur Vorhersage des Sportverhaltens entwickelt und im Hinblick auf die Gestaltung von Interventionsmaßnahmen zur Gesundheitsförderung diskutiert.

Die zentrale Untersuchungsfrage lautet: Welche Voraussetzungen müssen Kinder mitbringen, um Lernsoftware optimal nutzen zu können? Diese Frage wurde anhand der Voraussetzung „Leseverständnis“, als Basiskompetenz, sowie darüber hinausgehenden Voraussetzungen, „Interesse“ und „PC-Erfahrung“, untersucht. Die Studie „Lesen am Computer“ (LaC) betrachtete erstmals die effiziente Nutzung von Informationsquellen. Das Verhältnis von Print- und Hypertext-Lesekompetenz sowie Einflussfaktoren wurden hierbei erkundet. Es handelte sich um eine Zusatzstudie zur Internationalen Grundschul-Leseuntersuchung (IGLU) bzw. zur Erhebung „Kompetenzen und Einstellungen von Schülerinnen und Schülern (KESS). Die vorliegende Arbeit stellt eine quantitative Studie dar, wobei qualitative Methoden die Aussagen unterstützen. Es wurde das Leseverständnis von Mädchen und Jungen einer Hamburger Grundschule gemessen. Unter Berücksichtigung der Faktoren „Interesse am Thema und/oder Lernsoftware“ sowie „PC-Erfahrung“ wurde das Leseverständnis zum Multimediaverständnis in Beziehung gesetzt. Darüber hinaus wurden die Rezeptionsprozesse beobachtet und einzelne Fallbeispiele zur Interpretation herangezogen. Die Untersuchung hat gezeigt, dass die wichtigste Basisqualifikation beim Lernen mit neuen Medien ein gutes Leseverständnis ist und die Mädchen zum einen über ein besseres Leseverständnis und zum anderen über ein besseres Multimediaverständnis als die Jungen verfügen. Des Weiteren konnte dargelegt werden, dass sich die PC-Praxis eines Kindes nicht zwangsläufig mit seinen Fertigkeiten im Programm deckt und eine gute PC-Praxis hauptsächlich bei Kindern mit einem mäßigen Leseverständnis förderlich ist. Es lässt sich außerdem festhalten, dass die meisten Kinder Interesse am Thema aufweisen und dies überwiegend mit einem guten Leseverständnis und einem überdurchschnittlichen Multimediaverständnis gekoppelt ist. Die Hauptaufgaben des Unterrichts beziehen sich folglich auf das Arrangement von Lernprozessen. Die Einteilung in Rezeptionstypen ist eine wesentliche Aufgabe, um dementsprechend Teams zu bilden und Defizite auszugleichen. Ferner müssen Kinder mit einem guten bzw. mäßigen Leseverständnis unterschiedlich gefördert werden.

Il territorio del comune di Jesolo si estende a nord della costa veneziana,affacciato sul Mare Adriatico e delimitato dalla Laguna e dai fiumi Sile e Piave. Come molte città costiere del Nord Italia, Jesolo si è sviluppata principalmente tra gli anni ’70 e ’80 del ‘900. La rapida espansione del Lido ha provocato la saturazione disordinata della costa, dettata dalla necessità di rispondere in maniera rapida ad un aumento improvviso del turismo balneare. L’organizzazione in fasce parallele dell’edificato rispetto alla linea di costa e la sua compattezza non consente la relazione diretta tra il Mare Adriatico e il sistema formato dalla laguna e dal fiume Sile. Obiettivo della proposta progettuale è ristabilire il legame tra mare e fiume mediante un sistema di percorsi in grado di attraversare una parte consistente del territorio del Lido offrendo luoghi di aggregazione e opportunità di svago alternative alla stagionalità della spiaggia.

The market’s challenges bring firms to collaborate with other organizations in order to create Joint Ventures, Alliances and Consortia that are defined as “Interorganizational Networks” (IONs) (Provan, Fish and Sydow; 2007). Some of these IONs are managed through a shared partecipant governance (Provan and Kenis, 2008): a team composed by entrepreneurs and/or directors of each firm of an ION. The research is focused on these kind of management teams and it is based on an input-process-output model: some input variables (work group’s diversity, intra-team's friendship network density) have a direct influence on the process (team identification, shared leadership, interorganizational trust, team trust and intra-team's communication network density), which influence some team outputs, individual innovation behaviors and team effectiveness (team performance, work group satisfaction and ION affective commitment). Data was collected on a sample of 101 entrepreneurs grouped in 28 ION’s government teams and the research hypotheses are tested trough the path analysis and the multilevel models. As expected trust in team and shared leadership are positively and directly related to team effectiveness while team identification and interorganizational trust are indirectly related to the team outputs. The friendship network density among the team’s members has got positive effects on the trust in team and on the communication network density, and also, through the communication network density it improves the level of the teammates ION affective commitment. The shared leadership and its effects on the team effectiveness are fostered from higher level of team identification and weakened from higher level of work group diversity, specifically gender diversity. Finally, the communication network density and shared leadership at the individual level are related to the frequency of individual innovative behaviors. The dissertation’s results give a wider and more precise indication about the management of interfirm network through “shared” form of governance.
