超短激光脉冲的绝对相位对三能级Λ型原子布居的影响

通过数值求解含时薛定谔方程,研究超短激光脉冲与三能级Λ型原子相互作用过程中影响原子电离态跃迁几率的几个因素,如：绝对相位,啁啾率等。研究结果表明激光绝对相位、啁啾率的大小是关系态跃迁几率的重要因素,通过调节超短激光脉冲的绝对相位和啁啾率,可以将态跃迁几率控制到较大的水平。本文研究结果为实验上对态跃迁几率的控制提供了相关理论基础。

Internationaler Rotbarschsurvey auf den ozeanischen Sebastes mentella in der Irminger See unter isländischer, deutscher und russischer Beteiligung

A hydroacoustic survey on the oceanic redfish (oceanic Sebastes mentella) in the Irminger Sea and adjacent waters South and East of Greenland was carried out by Iceland, Germany and Russia. During this, about 250 000 nm2 were covered. The acoustic assessment yielded a stock size of approximately 1.6 x 10(6) tonnes or 2.6 x 10(9) individuals. This however, is considered to be an underestimation of the stock, as a result of partial mixing of the stock with the scattering layer. The oceanic redfish concentrations were densest at 200-300 m depth, mainly within temperatures of 3.5 °C to 5 °C. 61 % of the stock were males at an average length of 36 cm and an average weight of 582 g.

Deutsche und internationale Bestandsuntersuchungen an Heringen mit hydroakustischen Methoden

The international hydroacoustic herring survey in the North Sea is carried out since the early eighties with Dutch, Scottish, Danish und Norwegian contribution. Since 1994 Germany also participates in this survey on a regular basis and has taken over a sector in the easter part between the Dogger Bank and the Danish coast. This area is known for the abundance of chiefly juvenile herring and sprat. During the 1995 cruise some 420000 t of herring were found here, most of them being juveniles of age group I. Analyses of plankton hauls showed that planktonic echos were not caused by juvenile herring, instead the echos were apparently produced by small pelagic gastropodes of the genus Spiratella.

Über die Trogmuschel und deren Nutzung in der Deutschen Bucht

Obwohl seit längerem bekannt ist, dass diese wohlschmeckende Muschel in der Nordsee vorkommt, gab es dort bis vor wenigen Jahren keine Trogmuschelfischerei. Das änderte sich erst, als es niederländischen Muschelverarbeitungsfirmen gelungen war, aus Trogmuscheln ein exportfähiges Produkt herzustellen. Dementsprechend beantragte auch ein niederländischer Muschelfischerbetrieb als Erster eine erlaubnis zum Fischen von Trogmuscheln in deutschen Gewässern außerhalb von 3 Seemeilen. Inzwischen erhielten auch vier weitere Muschelkutter die Fangerlaubnis. Allerdings wird wegen der begrenzten Absatzmöglichkeiten nur zeitweilig gefischt. Deshalb sind bisher auch noch keine Anzeichen einer Überfischung zu sehen.

Lassen sich die Erträge der deutschen Schleppnetzfischerei auf Hering durch technische Maßnahmen verbessern?

Seitdem die wirtschaftlich wichtigen Rundfischbestände in der Nord- und Ostsee immer stärker zurückgehen, ist wiederholt eine Intensivierung der Heringsfischerei vorgeschlagen worden. Zur Begründung dieses Vorschlages wird angeführt, daß sich die Heringsbestände in einem relativ guten Zustand befinden und daß die Deutschland zugeteilten Heringsquoten bislang weitgehend unausgeschöpft geblieben sind. So betrug die deutsche Heringsquote beispielsweise 1990 in der Nordsee 50 000 t, gefangen wurden aber lediglich ca. 5OOO t. In neuester Zeit hat allerdings der Einsatz großer Schwarmfischfänger eine bessere Quotennutzung bewirkt.

Femtosecond laser ablation of crystals SiO2 and YAG

Damage threshold of crystals SiO2 and YAG against 60-900 fs, 800 nm laser pulses are reported. The breakdown mechanisms were discussed based on the double-flux model and Keldysh theory. We found that impact ionization plays the important role in the femtosecond laser-induced damage in crystalline SiO2, while the roles of photoionization and impact ionization in YAG crystals depend on the laser pulse durations. Models in the implementation of the Water Framework Directive - benchmarking as part of the modelling proccess

The Water Framework Directive (WFD; European Commission 2000) is a framework for European environmental legislation that aims at improving water quality by using an integrated approach to implement the necessary societal and technical measures. Assessments to guide, support, monitor and evaluate policies, such as the WFD, require scientific approaches which integrate biophysical and human aspects of ecological systems and their interactions, as outlined by the International Council for Science (2002). These assessments need to be based on sound scientific principles and address the environmental problems in a holistic way. End-users need help to select the most appropriate methods and models. Advice on the selection and use of a wide range of water quality models has been developed within the project Benchmark Models for the Water Framework Directive (BMW). In this article, the authors summarise the role of benchmarking in the modelling process and explain how such an archive of validated models can be used to support the implementation of the WFD.

Report of the Inter-American Tropical Tuna Commission for the year 1972

ENGLISH: The Inter-American Tropical Tuna Commission operates under the authority and direction of a convention originally entered into by the Republic of Costa Rica and the United States of America. The convention, which came into force in 1950, is open to adherence by other governments whose nationals fish for tropical tunas in the eastern Pacific Ocean. Under this provision the Republic of Panama adhered in 1953, the Republic of Ecuador in 1961, the United Mexican States in 1964, Canada in 1968 and Japan in 1970. In 1967 Ecuador gave notice of her intent to withdraw from the Commission, and her withdrawal became effective on August 12, 1968. The Commission held three meetings in 1972: the 26th meeting in Tokyo, Japan, on January 6, 7 and 13; the 27th meeting in Panama, Republic of Panama, on November 7, 8 and 11; and the 28th meeting in San Diego, California, on December 20. SPANISH: La Comisión Interamericana del Atún Tropical está bajo la autoridad y dirección de una convención la cual fue originalmente formada por la República de Costa Rica y los Estados Unidos de América. La Convención, vigente desde 1950, está abierta a la afiliación de otros gobiernos cuyos nacionales pesquen atún en el Pacífico oriental tropical. Beta and gamma vibrational bands in deformed nuclei

Energies and relative intensities of gamma transitions in ¹⁵²Sm, ¹⁵²Gd, ¹⁵⁴Gd, ¹⁶⁶Er, and ²³²U following radioactive decay have been measured with a Ge(Li) spectrometer. A peak fitting program has been developed to determine gamma ray energies and relative intensities with precision sufficient to give a meaningful test of nuclear models. Several previously unobserved gamma rays were placed in the nuclear level schemes. Particular attention has been paid to transitions from the beta and gamma vibrational bands, since the gamma ray branching ratios are sensitive tests of configuration mixing in the nuclear levels. As the reduced branching ratios depend on the multipolarity of the gamma transitions, experiments were performed to measure multipole mixing ratios for transitions from the gamma vibrational band. In ¹⁵⁴Gd, angular correlation experiments showed that transitions from the gamma band to the ground state band were predominantly electric quadrupole, in agreement with the rotational model. In ²³²U, the internal conversion spectrum has been studied with a Si(Li) spectrometer constructed for electron spectroscopy. The strength of electric monopole transitions and the multipolarity of some gamma transitions have been determined from the measured relative electron intensities.

The results of the experiments have been compared with the rotational model and several microscopic models. Relative B(E2) strengths for transitions from the gamma band in ²³²U and ¹⁶⁶Er are in good agreement with a single parameter band mixing model, with values of z₂= 0.025(10) and 0.046(2), respectively. Neither the beta nor the gamma band transition strengths in ¹⁵²Sm and ¹⁵⁴Gd can be accounted for by a single parameter theory, nor can agreement be found by considering the large mixing found between the beta and gamma bands. The relative B(E2) strength for transitions from the gamma band to the beta band in ²³²U is found to be five times greater than the strength to the ground state band, indicating collective transitions with strength approximately 15 single particle units.
