This work has the purpose of demonstrating how to build a Disaster Recovery Plan. In order to achieve such objective, an adaptation of the PDCA method was applied. This plan aims resuming the IT operations as fast as possible after some kind of incident which result the stop of the services or activities. Besides serving as insurance for the continued functioning of the company’s activities, indeed your non-existence brings up risks of financial loss and threatens the company’s image. As to illustrate the functionality and validity, the method was applied in an IT department of an energy company. It was concluded that the plan was well elaborated living up to the purposes described in the objective section of this work and validating the project developed so far, having a percentage of 85% of the overall success of the systems tested

The objective of this work is to analyze teaching situations with the use of calculator inside classroom aiming to understand its function and potential to the learning of Mathematics. A survey was carried out about the students and teachers’ conceptions concerning the use of calculator as an auxiliary tool in the learning of Math . The first part of the research is based by means of official documents (Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais (PCN) , Proposta Curricular do Estado de São Paulo, Guia do Programa Nacional do Livro Didático (PNLD)) , researches and other publications , characterizing by a bibliographic study. The survey with the participants— Math students and teachers acting in public or private schools of São Paulo state— was done through a questionnaire and interviews . The results show that most part of interviewed people are in favor of the use of calculator in the classroom . However , a big part of this number still consider it only as a tool to speed calculations with high numbers or decimals . It was verified that teachers who have recently graduated and have taught for a short period of time accept and comprehend the role of calculator more easily in some activities and consider it as an useful and auxiliary tool to the students’ learning

This work investigates the reasons that take teachers to use or not use manipulative materials in mathematics education as well as the knowledge that teachers of Basic Education schools of the city of Guaratingueta have about such resources. The experience in the classroom, while participating in projects, showed that these resources are important allies in knowledge production. However, we noticed that they are not often present in the teachers teaching practice. This leads us to investigate the relevance of such education resources from authors like Grando (2000) and Macedo (2012) and try to see the idea that math teachers have about their use. For this research we developed a questionnaire and we headed teachers to obtain data. Assuming a posture qualitative with phenomenological approach, organized researched data and interpreted following the procedures described by Bicudo (2011) and Machado (1994). We built three categories or regions of generality that lead us to consider that, for our research subjects, the use of manipulative materials is significant as Didactic Resources and Learning Aid, however, used from a Naïve Knowledge that does not involve reflection on practice or relies on theoretical concepts

This work is a study and a repost on a possible way that can be worked together Mathematics and Native Language, presenting activities for the middle school, trying to make teaching more interesting, dynamic and playful. The work presents proposal for activities based on stories from the book “O Homem que calculava” by Malba Tahan, with questionnaires to be answered by the students and guidance for teachers on how to apply these activities in the classroom. Applications of these activities were carried out and this work also includes analysis and records of them

P.brasiliensis é o agente etiológico da Paracoccidioidomicose, micose sistêmica mais importante na América Latina. A fase saprofítica produtora dos propágulos infectantes e outros aspectos ecológicos deste patógeno são ainda pouco conhecidos, o que impede a adoção de medidas preventivas. Diversas evidências indicam que o fungo se desenvolve no solo, porém o seu isolamento a partir destes materiais é raro e apenas eventual. O presente projeto visou desenvolver uma metodologia para obtenção de amostras ambientais na forma de aerossóis em locais onde a ocorrência do fungo já foi evidenciada pelo seu isolamento em tatus Dasypus novemcinctus e avaliar a ocorrência do patógeno nestes materiais por cultura direta e por biologia molecular em reações de PCR com “primers” específicos, já desenvolvidos em nosso laboratório. Para tal, avaliamos o padrão de crescimento do P. brasiliensis em quatro diferentes meios ditos como seletivos. Entre estes meios, encontra-se o Meio Sólido de amônia que, por nunca ter sido testado em P. brasiliensis, necessitava de testes quanto à viabilidade de uso e ajuste de concentração. Depois de testado a funcionalidade dos meios e observado o padrão de crescimento que o fungo exibe nesses diferentes meios, partimos para a tentativa de isolamento ambiental do P. brasiliensis através de amostras de solo em forma de aerossóis com o auxílio deles. Tendo em vista os resultados obtidos, optamos, também, por realizar a coleta de teias de aranhas, devido a grande aderência que exerce sobre aerossóis ambientais. Os isolados de P. brasiliensis cultivados apresentaram desenvolvimento semelhante nos quatro meios utilizados, indicando a possibilidade de uso destes meios seletivos para estudos ambientais. To know the profile of research of each Department of Education is of utmost importance for future actions of improvements. This type of study must be made continuously of form to evaluate Departments´ trends as well as the College´s as a whole, besides stimulating the activities of research and formation of human resources of the Departments. In this work is quantified activity of orientation and research of the Departments of the College of Engineering of Guaratinguetá - UNESP, through national and international publications in periodic, congresses and supervisions of graduation works, masters, doctoral, post doctoral, and scientific initiation, in a period five years (2007 through 2012). For balance of points to the considered issues, a criterion based on the CAPES qualification of periodic has been assumed. On the basis of the results of this work, has been observed enormous differences and particularities between the seven analyzed Departments of Education. In a general way, some Departments presented good performance in the three criteria, whereas others obtained a good performance in only one of them. The Department of Materials and Technology was the only one in which 25% of the professors obtained maximum note for the publication in periodic, while in the Departments of Civil, Electric Engineering and Mechanics 75% of the professors did not reach sufficient punctuation in order to equal a publication in periodic with B2 extract

The idea of this research is to analyze the possibilities of using chess as a nice alternative for motivating and teaching mathematics. The study was carried out in three steps, consisting of a literature review about the importance of games for education, followed by the importance that the game of chess has on the student's cognitive development and, finally, a qualitative analysis of data obtained by recording it. The data were taken from some activities performed in the 6th grade class of elementary education at a public school in the city of Roseira, state of São Paulo, in a team at the age 9 and 12 year-old students. The result of this research proved to be significant the use of chess game to teach math, we were able to verify that there was an easy assimilation of the subject, because when a student plays, he/she willdevelop skills in the game which becomes an incentive to study even more

Way in the theme of the story of my life and training and electingchildhood as a guide in the works of Benjamin. Narrating a series of reflections on childhood and experience, taking for reading and interpretation of aphorisms that make up my childhood and training as a fellow researcher, a full text simultaneously, is juxtaposed with other texts and authors, intertwining with Benjamin, memory and history in my narrative, in a singular moment, an event. In this course highlight the place ofexperience and their languages, between the know-how, andknowing how to express thinking about childhood and educationevent in the making, which announces the issue of impoverishment and destitution of the experience of life ineducational practice, indicating the possibility resume thembetween school knowledge and practices through different view of childhood and the event, as a teacher. I will continue outliningmy experience in research groups choosing the language and itsinterfaces specifically with art cinema / pictures in the construction of our subjectivity in postmodernity. The methodology is qualitative, will take place within what we call the ethical self. Transcendence is an act and not a process, and yetas an overshooting of history is always historically situated and,therefore, has a concrete context. Using my own journey as an educator / researcher in my path as an area of passage / travel / experience / track / time in the constitution of my subjectivity in my own life story

Novos hábitos alimentares da população e as mudanças nos sistemas de produção e distribuição dos alimentos podem estar fortemente relacionados aos casos de doenças transmitidas pelo consumo de alimentos contaminados por microorganismos. Isso faz com que a preocupação com a qualidade microbiológica dos alimentos aumente mundialmente. Dentre os principais patógenos, destaca-se a Salmonella sp, que pertence à microbiota gatrentestinal de animais silvestres e de animais domésticos criados para o consumo humano (aves, bovinos e suínos). Este fato torna o problema de grande relevância para as autoridades de saúde pública, pois esses microrganismos podem estar associados às infecções ou surtos provocados pela ingestão de alimentos contaminados. Foram coletadas 35 amostras de lingüiças e 25 cortes de frango, nos principais supermercados do município de Botucatu-SP e avaliados quanto à qualidade higiênico-sanitária através da determinação do número mais provável de coliformes termotolerantes (CT), além da presença de Salmonella sp. Os resultados obtidos mostram que 31% das lingüiças e 84% das amostras de frango estavam fora dos padrões higiênico-sanitários estabelecido pela ANVISA (RDC n° 12), que determina uma quantidade máxima de 5x103 CT/g em lingüiça e 104 /g em carne de aves. Em relação à Salmonella sp, estabeleceu-se a ausência dessa bactéria em 25g de lingüiça e não determina nenhum parâmetro para o frango. The current growth of the cosmetic Brazilian market and the incessant search for innovations requires the company´s Research & Development departments to be efficient and assertive. Therefore this work aimed to approach the process of development of new concepts, since the market exploration using quantitative tools, Survey, until the concept creation by qualitative tools. As results of this project an analysis of the tools and guidelines used nowadays and the creation of new exploration methods were delivered

Experimental models composed by human and animal cell lines are simplified and informative, allowing them to be widely used for biomedical research. Most laboratories that use in vitro cultivated cells maintain a variation of cell lines stored and cultivated. Therefore, misidentification and cross-contamination events can happen during cell lines handling. This problem can generate a repertoire of dubious results and papers, which may prejudice biomedical research. Recently it was created the International Cell Line Authentication Committee (ICLAC), which aims to spread knowledge about cross-contamination and misidentification of in vitro cell lines. Despite of the efforts spent trying to aware scientific community about the importance of the correct identification of cells, the number of papers based on misidentified cell lines it´s still worrying, compromising the reliability of out coming results and conclusions regarding them. The present study aims to analyze and discuss the main advantages and limitations of eukaryote in vitro cell lines use, characterizing the cell lines authentication problems. Therefore, compilation and critical analyses of literature data was realized, aiming to improve the understanding about this subject. Based on information about 445 cell lines with issues published by ICLAC it´s clear that contamination in human cell lines represented 89,2 % of mentioned problems. HeLa cell line was the responsible for most contamination, especially in 92 normal tissue cell lines, representing 44,6% of the contamination. These results reinforce the importance of periodic maintenance of cell lines cultures by labs and implementation of authentication methods as polymorphic STRs, besides obtaining cell lines from reliable sources and cell banks

This work aimed to investigate the possible contributions of the use of digital resources in the teaching and learning process of Commercial and Financial Mathematics concepts to high school students. Its development has included a survey of some researches on the topic as well as an experimental study of a qualitative type, in which the Webquest was used as methodology. It uses the computer, more precisely the internet resources, to assist students in building up knowledge. Eight meetings were held, in the after-school period, with a group of students of the second year of high school at a state public school in the city of Guaratinguetá. Aiming to evaluate the knowledge that students had about the theme, it was applied a diagnosis at first glance for further analysis and development of activities and interventions according to the students’ answers. Once the research data was analyzed, it was noted that the students had little knowledge regarding the basic contents of Commercial and Financial Mathematics, in addition to presenting difficulties in handling some of the digital resources used in the meetings. Nonetheless, from the students’ works, it was seen significant advances in understanding and building up knowledge on concepts such as percentage, simple and compound interest, savings, and sales involving prompt payment or in arrears
