O reconhecimento de que a globalizao econmica, a sociedade de conhecimento e as novas tecnologias impactaram o ensino de qualquer rea de conhecimento pacfico. O diagnstico de que o ensino tradicional do sistema jurdico romano-germnico marcado pela produo de um conhecimento descritivo e sistemtico dos institutos e normas jurdicas codificadas, que compe uma formao formalista e dogmtica do direito, ancorada no protagonismo docente e sustentada em aulas excessivamente expositivas, acolhido por Garcez no presente texto, fortalece a preocupao sobre a prtica pedaggica historicamente desenvolvida nos cursos de Direito. Essas premissas tm mobilizado a discusso sobre novas prticas de ensino para a formao jurdica e ressaltado a importncia de currculos que se preocupem com a formao de competncias e habilidades e valorizem mais o protagonismo discente, alm de fazerem uso de ferramentas atuais que considerem as novas tecnologias de ensino. Dessas premissas, tambm nasce a pergunta que Garcez se dispe a responder, sobre se ainda faz sentido a sala de aula.

Este trabalho tem como objetivo oferecer um caso para ensino tendo como referncia uma empresa brasileira do comrcio varejista alimentcio de supermercados e hipermercados. A estratgia de crescimento o dilema central. Internacionalizar-se ou no? Atualmente, nenhuma empresa brasileira deste segmento se encontra internacionalizada por meio de lojas prprias no exterior. Uma viso histrica da empresa e de seu fundador apresentada. Aspectos do setor, no Brasil, tambm so fornecidos. O caso coloca em evidncia as caractersticas da organizao e do seu presidente. Este trabalho apresenta mais do que um estudo de caso para ensino. Abordagens tericas baseadas em conceitos de empreendedorismo, orientao empreendedora, empreendedorismo internacional e viso baseada em recursos so apresentadas como uma alternativa de anlise. Uma contextualizao introdutria feita sobre a importncia da internacionalizao do varejo em relao sociedade em rede. Uma comparao entre estudo de caso para pesquisa e um caso de ensino oferecido no captulo sobre metodologia. Disciplinas como gesto estratgica, empreendedorismo, internacionalizao de empresas, teorias organizacionais, marketing e economia so boas opes para se empregar o caso proposto.

Este trabalho tem por objetivo compreender como foi a insero de uma empresa pblica do setor financeiro nas redes sociais virtuais, mais especificamente, no Facebook, buscando entender os motivadores do processo, os desafios enfrentados, as oportunidades encontradas e as possibilidades de melhoria na interao virtual. O estudo se voltou para a percepo dos funcionrios que atuaram na implantao, acompanhamento e manuteno da pgina da referida empresa aqui chamada de Asmaluan - naquela plataforma virtual. A coleta de dados, atravs de entrevistas em profundidade tratadas sob a anlise de contedo, identificou regras e procedimentos especficos para a atuao dos funcionrios ligadas cultura organizacional da empresa, sendo percebidos entraves tpicos de uma empresa burocrtica, em consonncia com a literatura de cultura organizacional e cultura no servio pblico brasileiro . Apesar destas dificuldades, principalmente ao entender a implantao, planejamento e execuo das atividades postas ou impostas pelas redes sociais, foi demonstrada, na viso da empresa em adio bibliografia estudada, a relevncia em estar presente em um novo cenrio de inovações tecnológicas trazidas pela internet, pelo impacto sobre a forma de interagir entre clientes e organizaes.

Este estudo objetiva analisar fatores que impactam a lucratividade de companhias beneficiadas com o Programa para Desenvolvimento da Indstria Nacional de Software e Servios de TI BNDES PROSOFT. A anlise da lucratividade permeia diversos estudos no pas e no exterior e de suma importncia para a realizao de polticas pblicas de qualidade. Para a avaliao, foram elencados diferentes aspectos microeconmicos, incluindo informaes contbeis, de emprego, localizao da empresa, segmento de atuao, entre outros, utilizando a metodologia de dados em painel. Dentre os resultados obtidos, pode-se destacar o impacto positivo do nvel da escolaridade da equipe, lucratividade observada no exerccio anterior, maior retorno das empresas menores frente s de maior porte. Houve penalidade no lucro daquelas companhias voltadas para fabricao de hardware, com equipes maiores. Constatou-se, tambm, um decrscimo no lucro de empresas no ano em que contrataram financiamentos com o BNDES, estas que foram posteriormente beneficiadas, no momento da implantao do projeto.

A tecnologia de informao mudou nos ltimos anos o modo de viver, de pensar e de se relacionar das pessoas. Influenciadas pelos avanos tecnolgicos que se massificam cada vez mais rapidamente, as pessoas, que tambm so cidados dos Estados onde vivem, mudaram inclusive a forma de interagir com as instituies. Exemplos no faltam nos jornais sobre esse fenmeno. Os governos no podem ficar para traz nessa revoluo, que j se compara em escala e efeito revoluo industrial do sculo XIX, sob pena de perderem a j combalida legitimidade. O desafio grande, pois a velocidade da evoluo tcnica coloca mais uma presso sobre os gestores pblicos. Para acompanhar preciso modernizar a forma de administrar os rgos do governo e de relaciona-los com os cidados e a sociedade civil. Uma gesto da Tecnologia da Informao que parta dos primeiros escales dos governos condio inicial para mudar a forma de pensar e agir de toda burocracia. Neste estudo vamos avaliar como a Governana de TI do Estado do Rio de Janeiro em face s estruturas dos demais estados, considerando tambm as vises oramentria e de planejamento e ainda a experincia de profissionais integrantes do Sistema de Tecnologia da Informao do Estado do Rio de Janeiro. Pretendemos extrais lies sobre o que deve ser mantido, ampliado ou alterado no modelo de governana adotado.

The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between free time for leisure and body composition of students in the crucial ninth year. (N = 228) of towns in the Midwest catarinense. We used the Adolescent Behavior Questionnaire of Santa Catarina (COMPAC) to assess lifestyle, considering that Active schoolchildren during the week, accumulated 300 or more minutes of moderate or vigorous physical activity (MVPA). Were used the time to 2 hours or more / day to determine the time of excessive use of TV and computer video game. To analyze body composition were used two criteria: the Body Mass Index (BMI) and sum of skinfolds (EDC). It was observed a proportion of 67.3% of girls and 68.7% of boys assets and more than 98% of students were using excessive TV time, computer and video game. In the classification by EDC, most of the boys showed great or low levels of body composition, while more than half of girls were classified at higher levels. As for BMI, most boys and girls had not overweight. Significant difference in the comparison of total minutes per week of MVPA reported between the groups, the second criterion of EDC and BMI for girls but not for BMI in boys. It is concluded that students with higher accumulation in minutes of MVPA showed better body composition indicators, but no significant difference was found when compared active groups with inactive, according to criteria used.

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the quality of public spending on education for the municipalities of the Metropolitan Region of Natal (RMN) in 2009 by use of two theories: The Theory of Welfare (Welfare State) and the Public Choice Theory (TEP), both important to understand the relationship between education and economics. The study also uses principles of microeconomics and public sector economics to get a better idea of the role of education in economy and society. It describes the development of the educational policy in Brazil from 1988 to the Federal Constitution of 2010, following the major changes in basic education during each government. The characteristics of the RMN municipalities were illustrated with socioeconomic indicators, while educational indicators were used to characterize each municipality regarding education. The model used in this study was developed by Bert, Brunet and Borges, the data was collected on the back of the School Census 2009 and the Brazil Exam 2009 and it was processed quantitavely in the Information System on Public Budgets in Education (SIOPE) by use of the statistical method called standardized score of the normal cumulative distribution function. The quality of public spending on education is the result of the relation between performance indicator ratio and expense ratio. For the qualitative analysis of results, the criteria of efficiency, efficacy and effectiveness were used. The study found that municipalities with higher expenses showed a worse quality of spending and failed to convert the expenditure incurred into performance, thus confirming ineffectiveness

The constitution of being a teacher of Portuguese occurs in a dynamic process involving various factors, such as the requirements of regulatory documents, the context of teacher formation, and the configuration of current society, per se. This study is aimed at reflecting on the initial formation of teachers of Portuguese and on official documents that face this formation, raising the following questions: (1) what does it mean to be a Portuguese teacher? (2) what is the vision of the subjects (teachers and students) involved with the formation of teaching the Portuguese Language? (3) how do these individuals deal with official documents? and (4) how do these subjects discourses relate? To understand the context of the formative processes and the knowledge inherent in them, first we take the studies of Garcia (1999) and Tardif (2002) as a theoretical framework, and to understand and interpret the utterances of the interviewees, we were grounded in the writing of Bakhtin (2003), for whom the object of the Humanities, the sciences of man, is the text, since man is, by nature, an expressive being. We situate this study in the framework of qualitative research. It is a multiple case study that focuses on two contexts: formation of teachers of Portuguese at the University of Minho, Portugal, and the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. The data that make up the research corpus come from documents elaborated by the Ministries of Education of Portugal and Brazil and were adopted by the two teacher formation institutions cited, from individual interviews involving eight trainer teachers (four from each university), and from two group-interviews (one in each institution), done with students in training. Our analysis is divided into three stages: first, document analysis; second, analysis of the discourse of the teachers in both contexts studied; and, third, analysis of the speech of the students in training. It is noteworthy that our purpose in this research was not to come out with a definition like being a teacher of Portuguese is X, but we are interested, above all, in discussing the issues surrounding initial formation, seeking different points of view, and hearing voices coming from different social positions for better understanding our object of study. Our analysis reveals that the initial formation of teachers of Portuguese, both in Portugal and Brazil, occurs in a complex way, under the influence of various factors, including: (a) difficulties in having the individuals involved adapt to the demands of regulatory agencies; (b) students and teachers adequacy to the organizational model of the post-secondary institution; (c) teachers difficulties to deal with the learning problems of students who have limited schooling basis and come from distinct socioeconomic realities; (d) a search for the establishment of methodologies for teaching and learning the Portuguese Language more adequate to reality; and (e) a search for a definition of professional knowledge needed for the teaching practice

Telecommunication is one of the most dynamic and strategic areas in the world. Many technological innovations has modified the way information is exchanged. Information and knowledge are now shared in networks. Broadband Internet is the new way of sharing contents and information. This dissertation deals with performance indicators related to maintenance services of telecommunications networks and uses models of multivariate regression to estimate churn, which is the loss of customers to other companies. In a competitive environment, telecommunications companies have devised strategies to minimize the loss of customers. Loosing customers presents a higher cost than obtaining new ones. Corporations have plenty of data stored in a diversity of databases. Usually the data are not explored properly. This work uses the Knowledge Discovery in Databases (KDD) to establish rules and new models to explain how churn, as a dependent variable, are related to a diversity of service indicators, such as time to deploy the service (in hours), time to repair (in hours), and so on. Extraction of meaningful knowledge is, in many cases, a challenge. Models were tested and statistically analyzed. The work also shows results that allows the analysis and identification of which quality services indicators influence the churn. Actions are also proposed to solve, at least in part, this problem

Knowledge about irrigated agricultural area and its geographical distribution are of great importance to water resources management. Evolution of irrigated area according to the irrigation method allows an identification of rational water technologies. The aim of this work was to analyze the information presented in the agricultural census of 1995/1996 and of 2006. Brazil has an area of 4.45 million cultivated hectares with irrigation. It is noticed that according to the 1995/1996 census, the irrigated area increased 1.3 million hectares, a growth of 42%. The Southeast region surpasses the South region which had, in 1995/96, the largest irrigated area. The Northeast region is the third irrigated agricultural area with 22.12 %, while the Central-west and the Northern region together sum 14.7%. According to the agricultural census 2006 classification, sprinkler irrigation (without center pivot) method is the most used,followed by flood, center pivot, other methods, drip and furrow, representing 35.3%, 24.4%, 18.9%, 8.3%, 7.4% and 5.8%, respectively.
