Els autors de la present proposta de comunicaci formen part d'un grup d'innovaci docent del Departament d'Histria Contempornia de la UB que es basa en l'elaboraci d'un muntatge audiovisual per part dels alumnes de grau. A partir de la creaci del grup l'any 2009 s'ha estat aplicant el projecte per tal d'aconseguir diversos objectius, entre els que destaquen l'aprenentatge de l'alumne de certes competncies que es consideren bsiques, tant transversals com especfiques, i es considera que en la seva major part s'han aconseguit. La comunicaci vol exposar quin ha estat el mtode per aconseguir-ho i s'obre al debat per millorar-lo

La sociedad civil venezolana ha ido creciendo cada vez ms. Ya no son los medios con sus voces de difusin y/o excitacin, ahora es la propia sociedad civil que se difunde como mensaje y medio a la vez. La accin poltica ya no se present como antao con desprecio y asco. Si antes los medios jugaron a ese desprestigio, ahora la sociedad civil est apostando a la valorizacin de la poltica a travs de sus actuaciones y llamado. Ella copa los hechos noticiosos, ella es noticiable como actor junto a la calle que es el espacio que ella a escogido en esta coyuntura que vivimos.

Las organizaciones de la sociedad civil pueden ser agrupaciones mediadoras en la medida que responden a necesidades, expectativas y bsquedas de la sociedad que las colocan en el debate pblico. Al contribuir con al debate, las organizaciones de la sociedad civil hacen poltica. La bsqueda de rating meditico puede deformar el objetivo de las organizaciones de la sociedad civil, pero si su objetivo es incidir globalmente en la sociedad, tambin estaran alejndose de su misin si no logran influir en la construccin de lo pblico y ello pasa necesariamente por la comunicacin.

Organizaciones de la sociedad civil venezolana han reaccionado ante el debilitamiento de la democracia, organizando movilizaciones sociales en nombre de la libertad. Este movimiento se ha desarrollado frente al debilitamiento de los vnculos de la democracia (libertad individual, ciudadana y representacin poltica de intereses), que en Venezuela se encuentran en crisis desde hace por lo menos 20 aos. Desde all se desarrollan nuevas propuestas sobre la necesaria armonizacin entre intereses particulares e intereses pblicos.

El presente trabajo da cuenta de las representaciones y expresiones que sobre los jvenes colombianos se construyen y difunden a travs de la telerevista La Sub 30, y que tienen como fundamento las intencionalidades de un discurso gubernamental que se gesta desde el Plan Nacional de Cultura y Convivencia del Ministerio de Cultura, a partir del ao 2006. En el trabajo se analizan los sentidos que se configuran en el programa y que emergen como representaciones de los jvenes: lo generacional, lo artstico y lo productivo. Se toma como objeto de estudio ocho emisiones de la telerevista La Sub 30, emitidos a comienzos del primer semestre de 2009. Se opta por una metodologa cualitativa de enfoque hermenutico orientada con aportes tericos de Stuart Hall, Scott Lash, John Urry, Nikolas Rose y Norman Fairclough. El corpus de anlisis est compuesto por fragmentos de discurso verbal de los directores programa, sus presentadores y los jvenes invitados, los cuales dialogan y se discuten sobre los sentidos que subyacen en ellos. Los resultados se organizan en categoras que permiten evidenciar referentes que caracterizan las representaciones y expresiones de los jvenes colombianos en la telerevista La Sub 30.

El artculo discute el papel de las narrativas jesuticas alemanas en la construccin de una conciencia-mundo en el contexto del orden colonial durante la segunda mitad del siglo XVIII. Para ello aborda las prcticas de significacin y representacin por parte de editores, autores y lectores de textos misioneros, as como la formulacin de discursos identitarios en la confluencia de los conceptos de nacin, imperio e imaginarios de lo global.

La crisis econmica mundial del ao 2008 y 2009 tuvieron sus consecuencias dentro de la economa ecuatoriana, principalmente al ser una economa dolarizada y porque dependemos fuertemente del precio del petrleo, ya que la exportacin de dicho bien es la principal fuente de divisas para el pas. En dicho perodo se vivi cadas importantes en el precio de dicho commodity, lo cual deriv en una contraccin de las captaciones del sistema financiero, razn por la cual las entidades tuvieron que precautelar su posicin para no verse afectado por la coyuntura de aquella poca. Considerando que en la actualidad hay varios modelos de valoracin del riesgo, se opt por probar en una entidad local una adaptacin del modelo Suficiencia de Capital y Riesgo de Crdito llamado comnmente Cyrce de autora del mexicano Javier Mrquez Diez-Canedo a la coyuntura de la liquidez de dicha entidad, por lo que se adaptaron los requerimientos de clculo de acuerdo a la cuantificacin del riesgo de liquidez. Los resultados obtenidos servirn para evaluarel nivel de cobertura de liquidez necesario y se pondr en consideracin algunas prcticas que le van a permitir a la institucin delimitar su apetito al riesgo y como este debe ser gestionado ante eventos que sugieran la aplicacin de un plan de contingencia de liquidez.

The linkage between corporate commitment to environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues and investment performance has generated a substantial body of research outside the real estate sector. Nevertheless, the relationship between the environmental performance and financial performance of companies is still not well understood as studies have found mixed and contradicting results. Drawing upon the KLD database which contains ratings on seven ESG dimensions from 2003-2009, this paper investigates the relationship between the ESG rating and the financial performance of a sample of US real estate firms. Since the primary transmission channel from ESG activities to financial performance may be better reflected by a firm's intangible assets, we model both Tobin's q and the total annual return in a panel framework with time and sector specific fixed effects. Our results are largely consistent with the existing literature finding a positive relationship between CFP and CSP. Further, the time scale of the lagged effects seems plausible.

Sri Lanka's participation rates in higher education are low and have risen only slightly in the last few decades; the number of places for higher education in the state university system only caters for around 3% of the university entrant age cohort. The literature reveals that the highly competitive global knowledge economy increasingly favours workers with high levels of education who are also lifelong learners. This lack of access to higher education for a sizable proportion of the labour force is identified as a severe impediment to Sri Lankas competitiveness in the global knowledge economy. The literature also suggests that Information and Communication Technologies are increasingly relied upon in many contexts in order to deliver flexible learning, to cater especially for the needs of lifelong learners in todays higher educational landscape. The government of Sri Lanka invested heavily in ICTs for distance education during the period 2003-2009 in a bid to increase access to higher education; but there has been little research into the impact of this. To address this lack, this study investigated the impact of ICTs on distance education in Sri Lanka with respect to increasing access to higher education. In order to achieve this aim, the research focused on Sri Lankas effort from three perspectives: policy perspective, implementation perspective and user perspective. A multiple case study research using an ethnographic approach was conducted to observe Orange Valley Universitys and Yellow Fields Universitys (pseudonymous) implementation of distance education programmes using questionnaires, qualitative interviewing and document analysis. In total, data for the analysis was collected from 129 questionnaires, 33 individual interviews and 2 group interviews. The research revealed that ICTs have indeed increased opportunities for higher education; but mainly for people of affluent families from the Western Province. Issues identified were categorized under the themes: quality assurance, location, language, digital literacies and access to resources. Recommendations were offered to tackle the identified issues in accordance with the study findings. The study also revealed the strong presence of a multifaceted digital divide in the country. In conclusion, this research has shown that iii although ICT-enabled distance education has the potential to increase access to higher education the present implementation of the system in Sri Lanka has been less than successful.

The thesis Distance learning and didactic material: a study about the course Media in the education in Natal shows a research about the didactic material and its insertion in the distance training course to teachers. In this sense, this research aims to contribute to some universities with reflections about the way to elaborate the didactic material to the distance training course of teachers with the following specific objectives: a) identify some aspects in the didactic material in the extension course Media in the Education that difficult media usage by the teachers members of the course in the pedagogical practice; b) discuss about the way how didactic material to the distance training course to teachers has been created; c) stimulate teachers/members to integrate media in their teacher practice. For that reason, we have developed an action-research (THIOLLENT, 2011; FRANCO, 2005), based on it we elaborated a proposal do complement activities to the course Media in the Education that were applied to two classes during the fifth edition of this course. This research is presented in four steps: 1st) analyze of the course modules; 2nd) creation of a proposal to complement the activities; 3rd) applying the proposal to the students during the fifth edition to the course; 4th) analyze of forums and log books written by teachers/students. Data was analyzed by the contents perspective of Bardin (2011). As a theoretical support, we have Tardif (2012), about teachers knowledge; Dewey (1959; 2011) and Freire (2001; 2009; 2010a; 2010b; 2012) related to learning perspective; Candau (2002), Rays (2003) and Freire (2010a), about the relation theory x practice in the teacher training; Andrade (2003; 2009) and Belloni (2010) about distance teacher training; Brvot; Belloni (2009), Neves; Medeiros (2005) and Prado (2005), related to Media integration. This research revealed the didactic material of the course Media in the Education has not a proposal to articulate theory and practice, due to this, this course opposed the Media integration. For that reason, teachers/members have real problems to integrate Media in their scholar routine. This research confirmed the way this didactic material was formulated did not help the teachers/students to integrate media in their pedagogical activities

O objetivo do presente estudo foi avaliar os efeitos do treinamento no perodo preparatrio em atletas profissionais de futebol. Participam 17 atletas, com idade acima de 18 anos que disputaram a terceira diviso do campeonato paulista, em 2009. O programa de treinamento predominante foi o tipo neuromuscular e por meio dos testes de sentar e alcanar, salto sxtuplo, salto vertical e velocidade de deslocamento em 30m os atletas foram avaliados antes do incio do programa de treinamento (M1) e aps sete semanas (M2). Os dados coletados foram armazenados em banco computacional, produzindo-se informaes no plano descritivo (medidas de centralidade e disperso) e, no inferencial, Teste t de Student e Anova One-way. Os principais resultados apontam para melhora da flexibilidade, fora explosiva e rpida, e sensvel diminuio na velocidade de deslocamento em 30 metros.
