Un proyecto para todos 'La vaca'

Se describe la experiencia 'La vaca' llevada a cabo en el CEIP Padre Manj??n (Montijo, Badajoz) con alumnos de educaci??n infantil, que surgi?? tras un carnaval en el que el tema central elegido eran los animales de granja. El proyecto gira en torno a la vaca y su utilidad para el hombre integrando contenidos de las diferentes ??reas curriculares. Los objetivos del proyecto son: que los alumnos sean activos en el proceso de aprendizaje, promover la inquietud por conocer, ense??arles a pensar, a confrontar sus ideas y aprender investigando en un ambiente de colaboraci??n e interacci??n.

Arte e resistência: Vincent Willem Van Gogh

Esta tese apresenta uma proposta interdisciplinar para abordar o objeto artístico, almejando demonstrar como a Psicologia pode enfocar a leitura e a interpretação das produções artísticas visuais. Foram aplicados métodos psicológicos considerados eficazes para entender o fenômeno artístico e, assim, interpretar o trabalho do artista. O instrumental teórico foi o da apreensão fenomenológica e o conhecimento psicanalítoco. Trinta e nove telas de Van Gogh (produzidas em Arles, 1888; no asilo de Saint Rémy, Provence, 1889; e em Auvers Sur Oise, 1890) foram selecionadas para análise. Foram Observados os aspectos da visualidade da obra, segundo a ótica fenomenológica, e as imagens foram investigadas em sua disposição em um espaço simbólico do espaço pessoal do artista, dos elementos configurados que compõem a foma, da iluminação e cor empregadas no trabalho e da dinâmica e expressão dos conteúdos manifestos. A tese constitui-se de quatro capítulos. O primeiro apresenta a história do artista; o segundo, a teoria para abordar a percepção fenomenológica, definindo elementos utilizados para interpretar o objeto artístico; o terceiro analisa as imagens produzidas por Van Gogh no período estudado; o quarto diagnostica, analisa e interpreta a expressão das imagens. Foi também analisada a temática explorada pelo artista, de acordo com sua manifestação simbólica. A trajetória deste trabalho assemelhase ao psicodiagnóstico, que levanta hipóteses e verifica se elas são verdadeiras ou falsas. Assim foi levantada a hipótese de que a arte atuava na existência do artista como um procedimento terapêutico e mantenedor do seu equilibrio. Risk factors for blindness in patients with open-angle glaucoma followed-up for at least 15 years

Purpose: To determine the proportion of blindness and investigate the relationships between risk factors based on clinical characteristics and development of blindness in patients with primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) treated for at least 15 years. Methods: A retrospective observational chart review was performed with 403 patients referred to a tertiary level hospital, each with a diagnosis of primary open-angle glaucoma, treated for at least 15 years. Blindness attributable to glaucoma was defined based on visual acuity and/or visual field tests. Variables considered to be possible risk factors for blindness were evaluated using odds ratio (OR), confidence interval (95% CI), and univariate and multivariate analyses. Results: Thirty-one patients became blind [13/53 (24.5%) - unilaterally and 18/53 (34%) - bilaterally] during the follow-up period of treatment (19.5 +/- 4.6 years, range 15-31 years). Multivariate statistics with regression analysis revealed that persistency on initial therapy <= 6 months was significantly associated with blindness, both unilateral (OR: 8.4; 95% CI: 1.3-56.4) and bilateral (OR: 7.2; 95% CI: 1.3-39.6). Other potential factors such as race, age, gender or number of medications were not associated with blindness. Conclusion: Blindness from primary open-angle glaucoma was not uncommon in this population of treated patients after the long follow-up period proposed. Persistence rates with the first therapy, as measured by a medical decision to change, were low. Persistence <= 6 months was statistically associated with the development of unilateral and bilateral blindness from glaucoma.

Papers of the school were ordinarily published in the American Journal of Archaeology, 2d. ser.; supplementary volumes wre authorized when material for publication either exceeded the space available in the journal, or when it was of such a nature as to make a different mode of publication advisable. (cf. v. 1, Prefatory note) The present volumes form the only collection of papers issued separately by the school in Rome. (Lists of the papers published in other journals, 1898-1907, may be found in the Supplementary papers, v. 1-2, Prefatory note) From 1909-12, the reports, etc., of the school were published in the Bulletin of the Archaeological Institute of America. On January 1, 1913, the American School of Classical Studies in Rome became a part of the American Academy in Rome.
