O Ensino de Geometria por meio de atividades investigativas: uma experiência com alunos do primeiro ano do Ensino Médio

This qualitative nature of work was developed with the participation of a group of students enrolled in the first year of high school from a public school of the state of São Paulo, in the city of Taubaté. Their goal was to determine how students deal with geometry tasks in investigative classes. To guide this research was drawn up the following question: As students of the first year of high school express their knowledge of building triangles and quads in classes of investigative activities?. The choice of investigative nature of this activity occurred by enhancing student participation and thus generate a greater chance of it not be guided only by what the teacher wants, but by his own curiosity and using their own tools for this. In the data analysis process stands out the interest generated in students for this type of activity and posture maintained throughout the work, mobilizing their expertise to answer the questions posed

The theme of the reading in the first year of the literacy cycle has become recurrent in academic papers, research groups, discussion forums, conferences etc. and raised different positions depending on the theoretical framework with which it is studied. While it is granted that reading instruction this school year is to ensure the ability to encode and decode and learn and understand the meanings and the meanings of what we read. In this work, it formed a general objective to investigate how reading skills are being developed in the classroom and the strategies used to develop decoding and understanding of meanings. The question that formed the north to the survey was as follows: The strategies and procedures being used in the teaching of reading in the early literacy process develop the coding and decoding skills beyond the grasp and understanding of the meanings of ideas? The specific objectives were established: a) investigate how is the teaching of reading in the first grade of elementary school; b) identify the teaching strategies and the design of reading and reader that the teacher of the class has observed and relate it to the way he teaches; c) verify that the teaching of reading in the first year of the literacy process, develop the early reading skills, decoding, and favors the development of the apprehension and understanding of the meanings of what we read. The methodology included field research, from a qualitative interpretation approach and had as direct data source the natural environment in which the teaching of reading has been developed. The work then displays data results analyzed in the light of literacy concepts distinguished by Soares (2011), and reading by Silva (1983), Foucambert (1994), Solé (1998), among others. A catalogue of the type-specimens of Bombyliidae and Mydidae (Diptera) held in the collection of the Museu de Zoologia da Universidade de Sao Paulo (MZUSP) is provided, with information on 109 type specimens of 34 Neotropical (mostly Brazilian) species of the families Bombyliidae and Mydidae.

FRBR – REQUISITOS FUNCIONAIS PARA REGISTROS BIBLIOGRÁFICOS: primeiro estudo investigativo da USP

Os FRBR se apresentam como uma nova filosofia na de scrição dos objetos de informação. Como tema recente no cenário biblioteco nômico brasileiro, um grupo de projetos do SIBi-USP propôs um estudo investigat ivo dos aspectos teórico e prático sobre o tema. O método contemplou a pesquis a documental e o levantamento de experiências. Os resultados indicam que a literatura em Português ainda é incipiente, sendo a compreensão d o tema dependente da literatura inglesa. As vantagens da prática do mode lo FRBR parecem ser a forma de exibição das informações ao usuário e a facilida de na catalogação dos registros. Não há relato da prática no Brasil; como conseqüência, não há pesquisas de satisfação de usuários dos FRBR

Revista do Museu Paulista e(m) capas: identidade e representação institucional em texto e imagem

Este artigo propõe reflexão sobre a escrita da história, a partir de estudo das capas da Revista do Museu Paulista, especialmente durante as gestões dos dois primeiros diretores da instituição, quando certa continuidade editorial foi preservada. Tomadas como "fontes", ou seja, objeto de trabalho do historiador, as capas revelam vestígios de processos que permitem reconstruir, em suas dimensões históricas, as complexas imbricações entre a produção da Revista, sua materialidade, e os atos de leitura e interpretação que condicionam e refletem relações entre produtores de textos e seus leitores nas primeiras décadas do século XX, a partir de São Paulo, onde era editada.

Justaposições: o primeiro dicionário brasileiro de língua de sinais e a obra francesa que serviu de matriz

Este estudo documental buscou investigar a constituição em 1875 do primeiro dicionário de língua de sinais do Brasil, a "Iconografia dos Signaes dos Surdos-Mudos", cujo autor, Flausino José da Costa Gama, fora aluno do Imperial Instituto dos Surdos-Mudos no Rio de Janeiro. Essa publicação foi analisada à luz da obra de Pierre Pélissier, surdo francês, que produziu uma obra anterior, a qual Flausino reproduziu na íntegra. A compreensão de como se constituiu a publicação deste dicionário exigiu a contextualização histórica da educação do surdo, e a pesquisa sobre a expansão dos processos de produção litográfica na segunda metade do século XIX. As duas obras foram analisadas quanto a aspectos gerais, forma de indexação lexical, verificação dos sinais que perduraram (38 entre 382), erros de tradução do francês para o português e o que estes verbetes nos dizem sobre os preceitos morais e religiosos subjacentes à educação do surdo à época. A conclusão destaca a importância da iniciativa de propagar da língua brasileira de sinais, com a primeira tentativa de registro há cento e trinta e sete anos atrás.

Necessidades de informação de candidatos ao transplante de fígado: o primeiro passo do processo ensino-aprendizagem

A necessidade de informação é definida como a deficiência de informação ou habilidade relacionada a um domínio de vida relevante para o paciente. O objetivo do presente estudo foi identificar as necessidades de informação de candidatos em fila de espera para o transplante de fígado. Trata-se de estudo descritivo, conduzido em centro transplantador brasileiro do interior paulista. A amostra foi constituída de 55 pacientes, e a coleta de dados foi realizada nos meses de março a junho de 2009. Os resultados evidenciaram que as necessidades de informação do período pré-operatório foram as que obtiveram pontuações médias maiores. O conhecimento de informações que o candidato ao transplante de fígado precisa é relevante para o planejamento do processo ensino-aprendizagem.

Primeiro relato de isolamento de Histophilus somni em ovino com quadro de endometrite no Brasil

Este trabalho tem como objetivo relatar um caso de isolamento em cultura pura de Histophilus somni em secreção vaginal de uma fêmea ovina da raça Texel, em propriedade localizada no estado de São Paulo, a qual apresentou histórico de endometrite e infertilidade. No exame clínico específico do aparelho genital, foi observada na vagina secreção de coloração esbranquiçada, com aspecto mucoso e odor fétido. Os exames sorológicos para Brucella ovis, Leptospirose e Neospora caninum resultaram negativos, enquanto o exame para Toxoplasma gondii foi positivo.
