Kustannusriskien hallinta rakennusliikkeen alihankintatoiminnassa

Suomalaiset rakennusliikkeet ostavat nykyisin aliurakoitsijoiltaan huomattavan osan varsinaisesta rakennustyöstä. Alihankintakustannusten hallinnasta on tullut avain kannattavaan toimintaan. Tämän tutkimuksen kohteena on suomalaisen rakennusliikkeen alihankintaan liittyvien kustannusriskien hallinta. Tavoitteena oli selvittää, mitkä tekijät aiheuttavat kohdeyrityksessä toistuvia kustannusbudjetin ylityksiä ja kuinka ongelmia voitaisiin välttää. Tutkimuksessa haastateltiin viittätoista yrityksen alihankintaprosessin kanssa työskentelevää keskeistä toimihenkilöä. Heidän käytössään olevat työvälineet, -ohjeet ja työn tuloksena syntyvät dokumentit tutkittiin. Yrityksen avainhenkilöistä koostunut asiantuntijaryhmä määritteli kokemuksensa perusteella riskialttiita hankintaryhmiä. Ryhmätyön tulosta verrattiin yhtiön kustannusseurantajärjestelmästä poimittuun faktatietoon. Eri lähteistä näin kootun tiedon pohjalta määriteltiin havaittujen ongelmien syntymekanismi ja taustalla vaikuttavat tekijät. Tutkimuksen tulosten mukaan kustannusriskien hallinta rakennusliikkeen alihankinnoissa koostuu kolmesta elementistä: toimittajakunnan hallinnasta, ostoihin liittyvän informaation hallinnasta sekä aliurakoiden toteutuksen hallinnasta. Toimittajakunnan heikko hallinta aiheuttaa riskejä koko alihankintaprosessissa. Kohdeyrityksessä ei ole riittävästi kiinnitetty huomiota kykyyn johtaa hankintoja alueyksikkötasolla. Tämä on johtanut lyhytjänteiseen toimintaan ja kyvyttömyyteen hankkia kestävää kilpailuetua ostotoiminnan avulla. Toimittajakunnan ja ostoihin liittyvän informaation hallinta luovat edellytykset aliurakoiden toteutuksen hyvälle hallinnalle. Tutkimuksessa päädyttiin suosittelemaan kriittisten hankintojen organisoimista uudelleen kohdeyrityksen Etelä-Suomen alueyksikössä. Kriittisten hankintojen toimittajakunnan hallintaan pitäisi yrityksessä kiinnittää erityistä huomiota. Olisi luotava menettely, jolla toimittajien luotettavuus otettaisiin järjestelmällisesti huomioon valintatilanteissa. Sopimusten sisältöä on tarpeen vakioida valvonnan helpottamiseksi. Kustannusten seurantaan ja analysointiin tarvittaisiin myös uusia välineitä. Hankinnan tulisi rakennusliikkeissä olla kiinteästi Mukkana yrityksen strategiatyössä. Ostaa / valmistaa itse –päätökset pitäisi tehdä strategisella tasolla ja ottaa huomioon ulkoisten resurssien hallinnan vaatimat resurssit.

Evaluation and realisation of a market entry method: The entry of a small high technology company into the British construction software markets

Tutkielman tavoitteena on tutkia, mikä olisi parhaiten case-yritykselle sopiva menetelmä tulla tekemään kauppaa ulkomaan markkinoille. Kaikki yleiset kansainvälisille markkinoilletulomenetelmät esitetään ja niiden edut ja haitat tuodaan esille. Selvittäessä tehtävänantajayrityksen resurssit, odotukset ja vaatimukset todetaan, että yhteistyössä tehtävä markkinoilletulo on pätevin vaihtoehto. Tämän jälkeen valitaan parhaiten tarkoitukseen sopiva yritys ennalta valitusta yritysvaihtoehtojen ryhmästä ja testataan tämän yrityksen yhteistyösopivuus case-yrityksen kanssa. Yritysten välinen yhteistyösopivuus arvioidaan analysoimalla yritykset haastattelujen avulla ja tutkielmassa esitettyjen teorioiden avulla. Sopivuus todetaan hyväksi, kattaen 71 prosenttia analysoiduista kohdista. Kaksikymmentäyhdeksän prosenttia kohdista todetaan kohdiksi, joissa yritysten välinen yhteisymmärrys ei ole toimeksiantajayrityksen minimivaatimukset täyttävää. Näitä kohtia tullaan käyttämään suunnittelun pohjana kun suunnitellaan jatkoneuvotteluja yhteistyön käynnistämiseksi.

SocialPosition : Social Position Indicators Construction Toolbox

This R package provides to sociologists (and related scientists) a toolbox to facilitate the construction of social position indicators from survey data. Social position indicators refer to what is commonly known as social class and social status. There exists in the sociological literature many theoretical conceptualisation and empirical operationalization of social class and social status. This first version of the package offers tools to construct the International Socio-Economic Index of Occupational Status (ISEI) and the Oesch social class schema. It also provides tools to convert several occupational classifications (PCS82, PCS03, and ISCO08) into a common one (ISCO88) to facilitate data harmonisation work, and tools to collapse (i.e. group) modalities of social position indicators.

Ethnic identity construction in Chiapas: examining the role of higher intercultural education model = La construcción de la identidad étnica en Chiapas : examinando el rol de un modelo de educación superior intercultural

This study explored ethnic identity among 410 mestizo students who were attending one of three universities, which varied in their ethnic composition and their educative model. One of these universities was private and had mostly mestizo students such as the public one did. The third educative context, also public, had an intercultural model of education and the students were mixed among mestizo and indigenous. The Multigroup Ethnic Identity Measure (MEIM) was administered to high school students in order to compare their scores on ethnic identity and its components: affi rmation, belonging or commitment and exploration. Principle components factor analysis with varimax rotation and tests of mean group differences are performed. The results showed signifi cant differences between the studied groups. Scores on ethnic identity and its components were signifi cantly higher among mestizos group from University with intercultural model of education than mestizos from public and private universities of the same region. Implications of these fi ndings for education are considered, as they are the strengths as well as the limitations of this research

Judicialisation and Direct Democracy. Switzerland's Ban on Minaret Construction

Launched by representatives from the Union démocratique du centre (UDC) with the aim of circumventing political and judicial decisions made at both local and national levels, the 2009 federal popular initiative calling for a ban on the construction of minarets rekindled the stigmatisation of Muslims living in Switzerland. Within the prevalent institutional configuration it moreover revived controversies surrounding issues such as direct democracy versus fundamental rights, or "the will of the people" versus "the power of the judges", whether national or international. "Judicialisation" is a polysemous concept. It is not understood here as the transfer to the courts of matters of political significance - in this instance the public regulation of religion - but as a process of juridification (or juridicalisation) in which court rulings were constantly anticipated in the political debate provoked by the popular initiative.

Profitability Analysis of Service Contracts of Devices

The objective of this study has been to make a profitability analysis of service contracts for a company in Finland. The purpose has been to see how profitable the contracts are and if there possibly were some things to change or develop in the contracts. Allocation rules of cost accounting, service costs both profitability and management of services have been considered in the theory part. All the service contracts that have been valid at least three last accounting periods have been included in the study. All direct costs relating to the contracts have been collected and indirect costs have been assigned to the contracts. Profitability of the contracts has been calculated over three years. Results have been analyzed according to the key figures the company is controlling. Some suggestions for developments have been given at the end of the study. The study has shown differences between the contracts. Part of them has turned out to be like the profitability aims of the company and part less profitable. The study has shown that many factors have an effect on the profitability of the service contracts.

A hybrid approach to treebank construction

Este artículo describe investigación sobre los efectos de la desambiguación morfosintáctica usada como un preproceso de un analizador sint´actico profundo basado en HPSG, en el contexto del desarrollo de un treebank del español de código abierto, en el entorno de DELPH-IN. La anotación treebank se realiza manualmente tomando las decisiones apropiadas entre las opciones propuestas por el sistema y ordenadas por un módulo estadístico. Los experimentos presentados muestran que el uso de un etiquetador reduce la ambigüedad de las frases, y contribuye a limitar la cantidad de frases cuyo análisis sobrepasa a el límite de tiempo, y ayuda a al m´odulo estadístico a clasificar el árbol correcto entre los n mejores. Por un lado, nuestros resultados validan los beneficios ya reportados en la literatura de tal preproceso de análisis profundo con respecto a la velocidad, cobertura y precisión. Por otro lado, proponemos una estrategia basada en existentes herramientas de código abierto y recursos para desarrollar con alta consitencia treebanks de sintaxis profunda para idiomas con limitada disponibilidad de recursos lingüísticos.

Die Autorin untersucht die Herausforderungen, welche die Geschichte der Orthopädie in der Schweiz prägten und berücksichtigt dabei die Anpassungsstrategien einer medizinischen und technischen Disziplin in einer sich wandelnden Gesellschaft.
