In the teaching practice of architecture and urbanism in Brazil, educational legislation views modeling laboratories and workshops as an indispensable component of the infrastructure required for the good functioning of any architectural course of study. Although the development of information technology at the international level has created new possibilities for digital production of architectural models, research in this field being underway since the early 1990s, it is only from 2007 onwards that such technologies started to be incorporated into the teaching activity of architecture and urbanism in Brazil, through the pioneering experience at LAPAC/FEC/UNICAMP. It is therefore a recent experiment whose challenges can be highlighted through the following examples: (i) The implementation of digital prototyping laboratories in undergraduate courses of architecture and urbanism is still rare in Brazil; (ii) As a new developing field with few references and application to undergraduate programs, it is hard to define methodological procedures suitable for the pedagogical curricula already implemented or which have already been consolidated over the years; (iii) The new digital ways for producing tridimensional models are marked with specificities which make it difficult to fit them within the existing structures of model laboratories and workshops. Considering the above, the present thesis discusses the tridimensional model as a tool which may contribute to the development of students skills in perceiving, understanding and representing tridimensional space. Analysis is made of the relation between different forms of models and the teaching of architectural project, with emphasis on the design process. Starting from the conceptualization of the word model as it is used in architecture and urbanism, an attempt is made to identify types of tridimensional models used in the process of project conception, both through the traditional, manual way of model construction as well as through the digital ones. There is also an explanation on how new technologies for digital production of models through prototyping are being introduced in undergraduate academic programs of architecture and urbanism in Brazil, as well as a review of recent academic publications in this area. Based on the paradigm of reflective practice in teaching as designed by Schn (2000), the experiment applied in the research was undertaken in the integrated workshop courses of architectural project in the undergraduate program of architecture and urbanism at Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte. Along the experiment, physical modeling, geometric modeling and digital prototyping are used in distinct moments of the design process with the purpose of observing the suitability of each model to the project s phases. The procedures used in the experiments are very close to the Action Research methodology in which the main purpose is the production of theoretical knowledge by improving the practice. The process was repeated during three consecutive semesters and reflection on the results which were achieved in each cycle helped enhancing the next one. As a result, a methodological procedure is proposed which consists of the definition of the Tridimensional Model as the integrating element for the contents studied in a specific academic period or semester. The teaching of Architectural Project as it is developed along the fifth academic period of the Architecture and Urbanism undergraduate program of UFRN is taken as a reference

A educação a distncia apoiada pelos meios de comunicao digital ampliou as possibilidades de interao, flexibilizando o processo de mediao pedaggica no tempo e no espao. Nessa perspectiva, a educação profissional democratizou seu acesso, na qual os conhecimentos de nvel tcnico so customizados em um Ambiente Virtual de Aprendizagem (AVA) para serem mediados a distncia. Esta tese, apresentada na forma de artigos, problematiza o processo de mediao pedaggica realizado pelo professor tutor virtual na Rede e-Tec Brasil do Instituto Federal de Educação, Cincia e Tecnologia Sul-rio-grandense (IFSul) Campus Visconde da Graa (CAVG). Nesse modelo de ensino, o professor tutor virtual contratado para atuar, pelo perodo de dois anos, em todas as disciplinas curriculares de um curso tcnico. Se, por um lado, isso permite-lhe conhecer a realidade de seus alunos; por outro, exige-lhe um esforo pedaggico de apropriao e mediao dos contedos especficos nas diversas disciplinas que integram os currculos de cada curso. A pesquisa buscou conhecer como o professor tutor virtual apropria-se dos conhecimentos especficos nos cursos tcnicos para medi-los pedagogicamente com os alunos. Apresentamos, como hiptese explicativa neste estudo, que na convivncia com o professor pesquisador que o professor tutor virtual encontra a possibilidade de se apropriar dos conhecimentos curriculares para poder medi-los pedagogicamente com os alunos. Para sustentar teoricamente nossas proposies na experincia vivida, estabelecemos uma rede de conversao com os autores Humberto Maturana, Pierre Lvy, Lee Shulman e Maurice Tardif, por meio dos conceitos: cultura em redes de conversao; inteligncia coletiva; conhecimento pedaggico do contedo; e formao profissional docente. Como procedimento metodolgico, encontramos na tcnica do Discurso do Sujeito Coletivo (DSC), de Lefvre e Lefvre, uma estratgia de abordagem qualitativa para analisar as recorrncias encontradas nos discursos dos professores tutores virtuais. O estudo aponta que uma rede de conversao recursiva entre o professor pesquisador e o professor tutor virtual possibilita a apropriao de conhecimentos tcnicos e especficos necessrios ao processo de mediao pedaggica com os estudantes. Essa convivncia, no caminho da constituio de um coletivo inteligente, favorece o trabalho colaborativo no ambiente da tutoria, contribuindo para profissionalizar o processo de mediao pedaggica na educação profissional a distncia do IFSul CAVG. Supported by digital media, distance learning has increased the possibilities of interaction, easing the process of pedagogical mediation in time and space. From this perspective, the access to professional education has been democratized: technical knowledge is customized in a Learning Managing System and later delivered by means of mediated distance education courses. Structured in a sequence of articles, this dissertation addresses the problem of the pedagogical mediation process performed by on-line tutor teachers at Rede e-Tec Brasil of the Instituto Federal Sul- rio-grandense (IF-Sul), Campus Visconde da Graa (CAVG). This model of education establishes that on-line tutor teachers are hired to work with all the curriculum courses of a technical program for two years. If, on the hand, it allows these teachers to know the reality of their students well, on the other hand it demands them a pedagogical effort of appropriation and mediation of the specific contents guiding the various courses that comprise the curriculum of each program. This research aimed to find out how on-line tutor teachers appropriate expertise from technical programs to mediate it with their students in a pedagogical way. The explanatory hypothesis given is that by working together and sharing experience with the teacher/researcher, on-line tutor teachers will be able to appropriate of curricular knowledge and pedagogically mediate it with their students afterwards. To support our theoretical propositions, a network of conversation was established with authors like Humberto Maturana, Pierre Lvy, Lee Shulman, and Maurice Tardif through the concepts of culture in networks of conversation, collective intelligence, pedagogical content knowledge, and teacher training. As a methodological procedure, the technique of the Collective Subject Discourse (CSD), by Lefvre and Lefvre, was found to offer a strategy of qualitative approach to analyze the recurrences seen in the speech of on-line tutor teachers. The study shows that a recursive network of conversation between the teacher/researcher and the on-line tutor teacher enables the appropriation of specific and technical knowledge required for the process of pedagogical mediation with students. The experience of sharing a consensual professional relationship, in which one respects and accepts the other as a way of establishing a collective intelligence, encourages collaborative work in the tutoring environment, helping professionalize the process of pedagogical mediation in distance professional education at IFSul CAVG.

Introduo: Os sistemas de sade esto a enfrentar uma realidade de radical intensidade biotecnolgica, em que a digitalizao ocupa um lugar central na prestao de cuidados. A inovao tecnolgica e a cyborguizao do humano devem traduzir-se em novos conceitos do cuidar, em que a ontologia cyborg tem um lugar central. Objectivos: Atravs de um enquadramento conceptual e tendo em conta os referentes tericos da enfermagem sobre o cuidar, pretende-se estruturar uma anlise epistemolgica sobre a tecnologia, a ontologia cyborg e novos conceitos de "Cuidar em Enfermagem Metodologia: Reviso integrada de literatura, anlise reflexiva e conceptual de quadros tericos referenciais em enfermagem. Resultados: A investigao recente neste domnio baseia-se num pressuposto essencialista que remete para uma determinada conceo de "Tecnologia" enquanto aparato instrumental redutor, numa abordagem epistemolgica positivista e mecanicista da tecnocincia. As tecnologias de ponta aplicadas enfermagem (onde se incluem as tecnologias de informao, plataformas digitais informticas, sistemas de e-health, tele-enfermagem) so consideradas nesta perspetiva pragmtica, como algo neutro, preexistente, uma mera ferramenta ou utenslio facilitador ao dispor dos enfermeiros. A anlise dos discursos cientficos assim construdos revela a adoo de uma viso instrumental da tecnologia. Afirma-se a clivagem entre pessoas e mquinas, a absoluta distino entre tecnologia e a condio humana, num hiato entre objetos "tcnicos" e objectos "naturais". Concluses: A clivagem dicotmica entre "Tecnologia" e "Cuidado centrado na Pessoa" artificial, fragmentria e contraria uma conceo integradora do cuidar. A dimenso esttica no cuidar em enfermagem pressupe a plena assuno da ontologia Cyborg. A conceo de uma "tecnologia encarnada" permite integrar na relao do cuidado uma hermenutica do descentramento, incorporando, nos fenmenos alvo da interveno de enfermagem, as paisagens relacionais, no sentido de relationscapes de Erin Manning (2013), onde os processos tecnolgicos de sade e doena e os cuidados so efetivamente vividos.

Currently, there are several factors that suggest the need for the school to review their teaching practices: 1) the speed with which information and communication technologies - ICT are spread throughout society and in particular the increasing use of mobile phone by groups in school age;2) the scope and power of integrating ICT convergence of these technological resources, that can be used as teaching resources; 3) the fact that nowadays students grow up in a technological world and make their thought patterns operating in accordance with this reality, etc... In contrast, there are educators unrelated to the appropriation of ICT, presenting, in many cases, resistance to them. There is a incongruity between how individuals use mobile phones, for example, inside and outside the school. There are also educators, schools, public educational departments claiming to be against mobile phones usage; bills and laws regulating their use in educational space, etc... For these controversial aspects we have investigated whether cell phone use as a teaching resource practices mediator in Physics teaching. For this purpose, we developed an applied research with qualitative and exploratory approach about the objectives, adopting participant and the technical procedures. A documental and bibliographical research was taken. First of all, data were collected by e-mail, through a multiple choice questionnaire applied to private school teachers in southern Brazil, to identify the researched reality and develop teaching practices likely to be applied in the studied corpus. Then, such practices were applied in workshops located in Curitiba and Ponta Grossa cities, in Paran state. During the application, data was collected by the researcher's field notes. Then, we recorded chats about the workshops from an instant message software (msn messenger), and we took photographic records. Data analysis was performed by triangulation. The results showed the need to enhance continuing education courses for teachers and the production of national academic literature, such as articles, dissertations, theses and books that explore the theme of the cell phone and its functionality in educational spaces as an educational resource mediator in the practices of teaching Physics. They are available in the dissertation defended in 2012, and now are also systematized in this book, organized as a final product of research conducted by the Graduate Program in Science Education and Technology UTFPR, Campus Ponta Grossa-PR.

The transformations economical, social and politics in you finish them decades of the century XX brought changes that didn't just limit to the production system. The flexible accumulation took many workers lost her/it their workstations and they look for her/it new survival forms, migrating for administrative activities, of services rendered and for the tourist activity of small and medium load. The State has been investing in the implantation of plans of tourist development in order to create favorable conditions for the reproduction of the tourist activity in Brazil, mainly in the Northeast. A space when it starts to present a predominant economical activity suffers a restructuring in their social and economical relationships. The restructuring of these relationships takes to the construction of a new espacialidade. In the city of Christmas, in Rio Grande do Norte, the neighborhood of Black Tip is the most representative of the public investments for the tourist development. After intense process of tourist urbanization, Black Tip passed interfering in the global context consolidating as the tourist locus in the city. The tourist urbanization of the neighborhood took to the transformation of the space in merchandise that is sold and consumed as such. The recreation of fragments of other cultures brought by social actors, resulting from migratory processes stimulated by the tourist development, it has been presenting ruled social relationships in the informational technology, consumption of global goods and in the fragmentation of the urban space characterized by the internationalization and cosmopolitizao. That process has been masking the inequalities partners and cultural as well as the territorial appropriation for an economical elite. The spaces are being appropriate for investors of the tourist section, private investors, agents and real estate producers, where the inequality is not just economical, but also cultural. The local population, mainly of the urban fraction of the Town of Black Tip, it doesn't participate of the productive process in function of the little or any professional qualification and he/she doesn't also have access to the consumption process. To the native ones it remains the fight for the preservation of his/her cultural identity and for the survival

Perante a fragilidade da atual conjuntura mundial nos contextos econmico, social e ambiental, urge a necessidade de educar os novos cidados para a sustentabilidade, pelo conhecimento interativo do local onde vivem e do mundo que os integra. Ensinar a pensar e a encontrar solues criativas sustentveis, torna-se incontornvel. Reconhecendo-se que este propsito carece da integrao do conhecimento presencial no territrio, e a importncia das competncias de saber pensar o espao e intervir no meio, partilhadas pela Educação Geogrfica (EG) e pela Educação para o Desenvolvimento Sustentvel (EDS), onde a dimenso Espao crtica e aglutinadora das aprendizagens, no presente trabalho prope-se dar resposta questo de como desenvolver o Pensamento Espacial Crtico, com recurso a Tecnologias de Informao Geogrfica (TIG), de forma a promover aprendizagens significativas em EDS, ao nvel do 3. Ciclo do Ensino Bsico (CEB) e no contexto da Escola Bsica de Campia. Tendo como grande finalidade a inovao das prticas educativas, espera-se com esta investigao contribuir para o alargamento de fronteiras do conhecimento em Multimdia em Educação e da EG, assumindo-se a importncia desta no domnio da EDS, estimulando o Pensamento Espacial (PE), o Pensamento Crtico (PC) e a forma como os alunos e restante comunidade educativa olham e atuam sobre o meio. Face finalidade apresentada e dado o carter inovador da presente investigao, adotou-se a metodologia de investigao-ao (I/A), no contexto do paradigma sciocrtico, de pendor qualitativo. Este estudo foi desenvolvido por intermdio de uma Oficina de Formao, em dois ciclos de I/A, tendo como objetivo a conceo e implementao de estratgias transdisciplinares de ensino e aprendizagem (E/A) em EDS, visando o desenvolvimento de capacidades de PEC e sendo suportadas por TIG. Foram concebidos diversos instrumentos de recolha de dados, para cada ciclo de I/A, e o corpo de dados foi analisado essencialmente atravs da tcnica de anlise de contedo e pontualmente atravs da anlise estatstica de cariz descritivo. O modelo de anlise de dados centrou-se numa anlise SWOT para identificao das foras, fraquezas, oportunidades e ameaas, e numa matriz TOWS para identificao das aes a empreender entre os ciclos de I/A. Prope-se, para o efeito, um referencial terico didtico para o conceito de PEC, atravs de uma taxonomia de capacidades e competncias resultante da implementao dos ciclos de I/A. Os resultados obtidos permitem observar que: i) a EG, pelas competncias que preconiza e pelo enfoque da dimenso espacial, potencialmente aglutinadora das aprendizagens, no currculo do 3. CEB, e pode favorecer a transdisciplinaridade, essencial na EDS; ii) as estratgias de ensino e aprendizagem assentes na EG e com recurso a TIG so promotoras de aprendizagens significativas em EDS pelo desenvolvimento de capacidades de PEC. Contudo, as limitaes evidenciadas na investigao suscitaram, atravs dos ciclos de I/A, a redefinio do percurso formativo proposto e dos instrumentos de recolha de dados concebidos, bem como a introduo de melhorias taxonomia de PEC desenvolvida no mbito da presente tese. Entre outras limitaes discutidas (como a resistncia utilizao de tecnologia em contexto de E/A), salientamos uma limitao sistmica, inerente aos atuais contextos educativos formais (currculo, distribuio do servio docente, etc.), que desincentiva uma efetiva implementao de estratgias transdisciplinares e do trabalho colaborativo entre professores. Apesar das limitaes elencadas consideramos que este estudo contribui para um aprofundamento do conhecimento sobre a potencialidade das TIG na promoo de competncias e capacidades de PEC dos alunos, nomeadamente pelo avano na clarificao das mesmas, plasmadas no instrumento desenvolvido no mbito desta tese (taxonomia de PEC). Como disseminao desta investigao, salienta-se que o referido instrumento integrar o referencial terico de um projeto europeu Erasmus + (ENAbLE), para suporte conceo dos dispositivos didticos que acompanharo uma aplicao de TIG que ser concebida especificamente para o contexto de E/A.

One of the biggest environmental problems of the population is the lack of sewage treatment, especially in rural communities and low-income. The development of technologies for efficient, low-cost sanitation need to be developed to meet the disadvantaged people of this basic service. This work was the implementation proposal of a technology called constructed wetlands, also known as Wastewater Treatment Plant for Roots Zone - ETEZR. The objective was to develop a non- formal environmental education proposal for redevelopment, using outreach methods for residents and deployment of this technology ETEZR in the rural community of Cologne Grebe in Sao Jose dos Pinhais - PR. With technical support from the Paranaense Technical Assistance and Rural Extension Institute -EMATER and the Federal Technological University of Paran - UTFPR, 5 ETEZR were deployed in the colony through three theoretical and practical workshops, which involved total 67 people from the community 5 technicians EMATER and 13 of the Municipal Town Hall. Aps4 months of implementation were carried out two collections of raw wastewater and treated to analyze physical, chemical and biological parameters. The results evaluated by chemical parameters BOD, COD, phosphorus, ammonia nitrogen comparing raw and treated sewage, demonstrate that ETEZR are effective in the treatment of sewage. 5 Seasons minimum and maximum efficiency between the basic parameters analyzed were 52.2 to 95.5% for BOD; 47 to 94.5% for COD; 21.5 to 96% phosphorus; 30-98% for ammonia nitrogen. Oils and greases, and a series of solid also achieved a significant reduction in their values when comparing the raw sewage and treated sewage, and biological parameters evaluated by means of coliforms showed a reduction of 80 to 99%. With the implementation of environmental education process aimed sanitation was possible to evaluate the perception of the population to accept the environmental sanitation technology using the ETEZR, understand the needs and sanitation concepts for the community. This research evaluated the development of the methodology applied by the non-formal environmental education in order to provide subsidies for rural sanitation plan process for the municipality.

A investigao aqui descrita explora a primeira fase de um projecto de investigao, cujo objetivo introduzir uma nova forma de colaborao e comunicao entre a Escola Famlia, atravs de uma Caderneta Eletrnica (CE), em Espanha, nas escolas da Galiza. A CE surge para dar resposta s crescentes necessidades de colaborao entre a Escola e a Famlia, promovendo o processo ensino-aprendizagem e o sucesso educativo, tendo como suporte as Tecnologias da Informao e da Comunicao (TIC). Atravs de um questionrio procurmos obter a perceo dos Professores e Encarregados de Educação (EE) relativamente adoo de uma CE. Ambos os grupos salientaram a importncia da comunicao entre a Escola e a Famlia e manifestaram interesse na CE, enquanto instrumento de comunicao bidirecional.

This text thematizes the performance of the Brazilian-American Commission of Industrial Education (CBAI) since its installation at Rio de Janeiro, on 1947, and extinction in Curitiba, on 1963. The general goal consists in identifying if are there any relation between Gramscis Americanism and Fordism elements and the CBAIs performance, by means of a speech analysis from de Newsletter of CBAI and other documental sources related to the organizations performance. The specifics objectives intend to contextualize the political and economic situation that Brazil was going through before and concomitant to CBAIs performance, emphasizing some aspects of the Cold War feature that contributed to narrow the relations between United States and other countries of Latin America, especially Brazil. On the following, it intends to present the main aspects of Gramscis thought and the Americanism and fordism and Passive Revolution as key categories for a better understanding of the presence of an Americanization project on Brazilians professional education. As so, the object of this study are the Newsletters of CBAI. Finally, the speechs analisys of the Newsletter was the methodology used to demonstrate CBAI as an Americanism diffuser. The documental research and sources served as groundwork, especially the Newsletters, were found at Departamento de Documentao Histrica of Universidade Tecnolgica Federal do Paran (DEDHIS) and at Biblioteca de Educação of Universidade de So Paulo (FEUSP). The theoretical foundation has as a workline for the conception of the categories the studies of Gramsci about the of work (and the Newsletters itself), and the speechs analysis of main concepts from Bakhtin, Voloshinovs and the Circle of studies about language philosophy. At last, this paperwork concludes that the attempt to disseminate an amerizanization project in Brazil obtneined significant results on the industrialization of the country according to the fordisms racionalization standarts, nevertheless, this research considers that such a project corroborates the comprehension about the consolidation of a Passive Revolutions project.

O estudo Histrias no Feminino: a influncia das narrativas na construo identitria de mulheres educadoras em Portugal e em Espanha foi desenvolvido ao longo de dois anos com investigadores da Escola Superior de Educação de Paula Frassinetti e da Universidad de Madrid. O grupo de trabalho centrou as suas atenes para uma investigao qualitativa, de carcter biogrfico, baseada em histrias de vida, tendo entrevistado onze educadoras/professoras portuguesas e espanholas, optando-se por apresentar agora apenas seis histrias, todas narradas por mulheres portuguesas. Neste artigo os autores abordam uma parcela do estudo e centram-se em seis entrevistas no que diz respeito ao papel da mulher como educadora que conta histrias. Assim, focalizam-se vrias dimenses da mulher ao assumir-se como contadora de histrias, quer ao falar de si mesma ou de outra mulher que conta histrias. Neste artigo, apresentamos o discurso de algumas entrevistadas que ao narrarem a sua relao com a hora do conto resgatam aspetos importantes da sua infncia. This research aims to reflect on the strategies and mediation used by Oscar Niemeyer and Museum of contemporary art, in Curitiba, and Pinacoteca and Museum of modern art of So Paulo, to approximate audience of art. Recognizes that the gap between the two and that is reflected in the low visitation to art museums is the result of social control technologies historically elaborate and maintained to keep track of who has economic power over others , are people , as in the case of artistic appreciation, or countries, such as what happens with technology.It also presents some possibilities of subversion of this control , which occur especially because the human being creative and interpretive. Finally, it notes that the work carried out by the educational sectors of museums to attract different audiences is very relevant institutions and committed. With regard to teaching materials prepared and distributed to visitors, however, the need for some adjustments so that they communicate better with visitors and contribute, in fact, to deconstruct the idea of the Museum as an elite space and available only to a few privileged.
