Reconstructing and analyzing the context in which the journalistic profession has developed in Brazil and the influences on it are the purposes of this article, which aims through the historical and dialectical materialism, to explain the process by which the contemporary situation is configured. This context is fundamental to understanding the conflicts of political and economic interests that determined the historical setting of this profession and the control over professional practice. The results indicate how technological changes altered its material base of production and have generated new concepts, which have become parts of its superstructure in different social, economic, and political periods.

This article addresses the historical constitution of Pedagogy undergraduate courses and their current proposal for teacher education and for the management of education systems. Another aspect discussed in the text is the constitution of the Pedagogy undergraduate courses at UNESP, the movement of each one, its specificities, relationship with the national trend, political aspects, and also the implications of the national guidelines for training in special education and the inclusive education approach in teacher education. Nowadays, UNESP has six Pedagogy undergraduate courses that are strongly consolidated and active in the Brazilian educational scenario in the area of teaching, research and extension education, and although UNESP has progressed towards conforming the national guidelines, each course has peculiarities in its pedagogical projects. As a result of this and of the history of the FFC in Marília, we found an organization that includes the perspective of an inclusive education.

In the last decades of the 20th Century, the History of the Education, as well as that of Mathematical Education have used the background of the New History and Cultural History. It has changed its objects, methods and sources. Despite the diversification of sources, some of them have still not been used systematically in research. This is the situation with regard to fiction texts. According to Lajolo (1997), literature is the radar and mirror of the values, emotions, feelings and point of view of societies. Therefore we can pose questions to literary texts to seek historical narratives. In this paper, parts of the literary texts Novelas Paulistanas and Memórias de um Sargento de Milícias have led us to historical research in secondary sources. We aim to contribute to understanding of the Brazilian Empire's process of school education, in Rio de Janeiro, and of the FirstRepublic's educational process, in São Paulo.

Baseia-se em uma pesquisa interinstitucional que focaliza o âmbito mais amplo em que são formuladas e implementadas as políticas de formação de professores no Estado de São Paulo. Tem por objetivo contribuir para a elucidação das forças presentes em movimentos de reforma curricular nos cursos de licenciatura, cotejando dados e aspectos socioculturais e institucionais circundantes. A análise incide sobre projetos pedagógicos de dois cursos de Letras de duas universidades públicas paulistas. Essas instituições desenvolveram, nos últimos anos, projetos ou ações de formação de professores para a escola básica, e é nesse contexto que se inserem os projetos pedagógicos analisados, que são tomados como exemplos de caminhos diferenciados que as universidades traçam, influenciadas pela história de cada instituição. O procedimento de pesquisa adotado foi a análise documental e o conceito de currículo em processo orientou as reflexões desenvolvidas. Reafirma-se, como em outros estudos, que a necessária integração entre saberes pedagógicos e saberes provenientes da área de referência continua sendo tarefa difícil, que as circunstâncias na criação dos cursos e a formação superposta deixou suas marcas nas instituições e que as tentativas para superá-la constituem exemplos esparsos e não modelos generalizados, o que ressalta a relevância da continuidade das pesquisas sobre o currículo dos cursos de licenciatura.

Esta investigación da énfasis a la formación y consolidacón del Proyecto Memoria Votorantim (P.M.V.), presentado al gran publico en 2005, con la publicación de su sitio en la WEB. El ejecentral fundamental es compreender su “arquitetura” y los contenidos específicos de sus distintas secciones, i indentificando los conjuntos informativos los repertoriod documentale que lo intgran, buscando entender los propósitos de su constituicón, La hipótese del trabajo es que la concepción del contenido documental y la desponición de las inforaciones archivistas que cundujeron al yuxtaposición del recuerdo de los trabajadores con el recuerdo corporativo produciendo la história oficial del Grupo Votorantim. Se busca discutir la constituición del P.M.V. como parte de las estratégias del crescimento de los negocios de la Votorantim anunciados en 2004, edificando la tradición del Grupo Votorantim y actuando como refuerzo y amliación de la corporativa de sus empleados.

The following article has as the main concern and tendency to think and offer some ideas on the Teaching of Philosophy in Brazil and historically conceptions constructed about the philosophy, this constituting itself a challenge to Brazilian education and the formation of people. It is pertinent to the conciliation in the Teaching of Philosophy, from the History of Philosophy, the philosophize and not to join immediately to philosophical systems and their conceptions, but that is structured from the real problems of each situation and experienced in education space and society in general as an macrostructure that requires reflection about your problems. Note that, during the 500 years of education in Brazil, especially in this aspect of Teaching Philosophy characteristics with respect to the concerns and the philosophical problems have been modified, initially, a more obedient to the rules, passing, sometime later, the valorization of polemic and, finally, the systematization of reality and reflection of the real problems faced by a society such as the Brazilian. In this sense, it is proposed to understand and analyze the Teaching of Philosophy in both, the primary and secondary education and, especially, in the university.

The text is divided in two phases. In the first phase, consisting of three parts, the main concepts of Kant’s Doctrine of Right are considered in a comprehensive approach related to: the issue of the relations between natural right and positive right, problem closely connected to that of the relations between natural state and civil state, private right and public right; to the doctrine of property and its connection with political right. On treating the right in its several types, we intend to appoint the practical reasoning as a background of the Doctrine. In the second phase, concerning its last section, the consideration on the presence of the practical reasoning into the right is placed before some speci!cities of Kant’s phylosophy of history, with the intent of establishing the possible relation between Rechtslehre and that philosophy.

This article integrates results from reflections on the importance of history and philosophy of science for science education and teacher training. Centrally, was based on results from reflections on the importance of this knowledge for teacher training and action planning of science teaching by the teacher, through a thematic approach. To address this latter topic, we attempted to do so by considering the action planning of science teaching in elementary schools. This option is due to the fact that in the discipline, be clearly stated the broad reach of its area, to integrate knowledge about nature, human beings and technology, among others, in a historical and philosophical perspective.

The article discusses characteristics of the library collection of the Escola Estadual Leônidas do Amaral Vieira, from Santa Cruz do Rio Pardo (SP), which subsidized the research on history of didactics at the Instituto de Educação of this school, from 1953 to 1975. We present aspects of the school and its collection about didactics in light of theoretical and methodological aspects related to the history of school subjects.

This paper proposes to investigate a specific fragment of the history of Japanese immigration to Brazil: labor relations during the period before the outcome of World War II. To this end, choosing oral history as a research method, and assumptions of historical materialism as a theoretical framework, we sought to examine the accounts of experiences remembered by a group of elderly women in this community of immigrant settlers. Theys participated both in the São Paulo coffee work in the first decades of the twentieth century, as the planting of cotton, in the 1930s.

The objective of this article was to argue how to use images (as films, photos and paintings) and lyrics of musics (as rap) to teach History of the African and Afro- Brazilian culture in classroom. Demonstrating how the procedures had been worked in classroom, at Municipal School of Basic Education (EMEF) “Maria Pavanatti Favaro”, located in Campinas City, in the State of São Paulo-Brazil, and the results that had been reached with the use of those resources.
