The purpose of my project is to provide a compilation of the work of Nicaraguan born poet, Salomon De la Selva, who incidentally was nominated for a Nobel Prize in 1919, and was the first Latin-American poet to publish extensively in English. In order to achieve this goal, my research methods included the substantial use of the Internet, as well as two investigative trips to Mexico and one to Nicaragua, which ultimately led me to uncover a total of 135 unaccounted English-language poems. In addition, De la Selva's uniqueness lies in the fact that he was a truly bilingual writer, who was equally able to create both in English and Spanish, simultaneously. Therefore, my project not only represents an act of reclamation, but the new material also provides new exciting possibilities for his work by facilitating an intertextual analysis of his poems, which will aid in understanding the complexities of bilingualism.

Indeed, in the sixties, private investors had opened two hotels, while at least three others over a hundred beds each, weren´t finished.

This paper aims to discuss the construction of the image of Conchita character within the novel La femme et le Pantin, written by Pierre Louÿs in 1898, along with reference works and translations of literature, painting and film. Work genre romance unconfessable presents relational features the seduction and the making of the feminine about the subversion of the ideals of womanhood in the fin-de-sciècle, using the idiosyncrasy of the physical body and the Spanish character, before the traditional values of the time, and how about overcoming the idea of courtly love. This process meant that these elements interact continuously among themselves, establishing itself as a new perspective to the construction of the female character in his fiction. Thus, this discussion takes place on different aspects of development, from the direct reading of the authors and the novel as a basis, considering the character alive as a result of the relationship between memory, culture and time.
