The Afroporte��a press and Afro-Argentine���s thought in the late nineteenth century

The journalistic boom that occurred in Argentina from the second half of the nineteenth century saw the emergence of an active afroporte��a press that defend the interests of the black community. This paper, in addition to reviewing the history of the Afro-Argentines newspapers, emphasizes the role played by the elite of African descent in the promotion of modernity among his brothers, while exploring the possible bases for an identity in the ideas spread.

The first chronicle of Miguel Hernandez: The New Journalism (1936-1939)

This paper presents and analyzes the first literary-journalistic chronicle writen and published by Miguel Hern��ndez: ���Defensa de Madrid. Madrid y las ciudades de Retaguardia���, during the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939). This chronicle is the first one of a series establishing a new and personal type of journalism: literary chronicles ���poetical and political-. Miguel Hernandez published his masterpieces in different newspapers as a war reporter, with his own name and with a pen-name, playing roles of director and political commissar in different newspapers in the war-trenches. Thematically, this first article shows his personal and political engagement, as well as his desire and strategy to protect the capital city of Spain: Madrid. Methodologically, the analysis is an approached to linguistics in social sciences, which presents some of the personal characteristics and style of the chronist Miguel Hern��ndez. Thus, it becomes patent that the so-called New Journalism (narrative and literary), which flourished in the 70s, had already been deeply and efficiently practiced by Miguel Hern��ndez 40 years before. That is the reason why Miguel Hern��ndez deserves to be added to the well-known collective of chronicle writers that have already been rescued to this moment. His literary style and quality are installing him in a outstanding position as well as pioneer of the genre nowadays known as New Journalism that in his case, it is politically engaged

Reality Shows in Chile, origin and road map. Historical-Communication Dialogues

Reality shows are TV programs which represent a format used in television nowadays; however, the observation practices of individual and/or group intimacy dates from thousands years ago. Sometimes this was driven by voyeurism or morbid fascination, some others, by the purpose of guarding, supervising and maintaining status quo. This work offers an alternative answer to the explanation of this type of TV program emergence and relates this appearance to a government procedure bound up with modern State terrorism which began at the end of the eighteenth century and has been recalled by different regimes until present days.

El contexto y el centro residencial para las personas adultos mayores en Colombia y Espa��a. La empresa social una alternativa para el bienestar

La protecci��n a los adultos o personas mayores se ha convertido en una pol��tica de Estado, esto debido al creciente registro de vulneraci��n de los derechos de los mismos. Por lo tanto, conocer estas pol��ticas gubernamentales y sociales que se encuentran vigentes, tambi��n el actual sistema de seguridad social y su cobertura para ��sta poblaci��n tanto en Espa��a y Colombia, as�� como su contexto legal y social, adem��s de identificar los espacios donde un adulto mayor encuentra la alternativa de vivir y compartir sus a��os longevos, ya sea en los llamados hogares geri��tricos, residencias o centros de atenci��n a mayores, como tambi��n el papel que las empresas solidarias juegan en la oferta y demanda de un mercado donde el segmento del adulto mayor de acuerdo a las necesidades en este contexto, genera mayores demandas de productos y profesionales especializados con sentido social. Este tejido de relaciones en pro del Bienestar hac��a el adulto mayor, conlleva a presentar los resultados parciales de una investigaci��n realizada en hogares o residencias para personas mayores ubicados en ��vila, Madrid y Santiago de Cali.

Education in J.J. Rousseau: a methodological antecedent of competence based teaching

Taking into account the huge repercussion and influence that J.J. Rousseau has had on modern pedagogy, the recent tercentenary of his birth is a good opportunity to think about his outstanding relevance nowadays. This paper is a theoretical and educative research developed with an analytic and comparative hermeneutical method. The main objective is to show how some concepts of his philosophy of education have a great similarity with certain changes that the present competency based teaching is demanding, so it could be considered its methodological background. In order to achieve this objective this exposure has been divided in three parts. The first part is an analysis of Rousseau's educational theory as developed in the first three books of the Emilio, in which one of the main themes is self experience-based learning, fostering self-sufficiency, curiosity and the motivation for learning. Rousseau proposed as a method the negative education, which requires, among other conditions, a constant monitoring of the learner by the tutor. In the second part, a brief summary of the most relevant changes and characteristics of competency-based teaching is developed, as well as its purpose. The student���s participation and activity are highlighted within their own learning process through the carrying out of tasks. The new educational model involves a radical change in the curriculum, in which it is highlighted the transformation of the methodology used in the classroom as well as the role of the teacher. Finally, the aim of the third part is to offer a comparative synthesis of both proposals grouping the parallelisms found in 4 topics: origin of the two models, its aims, methodology, and change in the teaching roles.

La parroquia de San Miguel de Sagra y San Gil de Madrid en el siglo XVI. Aportaciones documentales

Una serie de documentos in��ditos relativos a la antigua parroquia de San Miguel de Sagra y San Gil, localizada muy pr��xima a la entrada principal del Alc��zar de Madrid, as�� como su posterior derribo y traslado en 1548 con nuevo edificio en el lado suroriental del Palacio, permite profundizar en un proyecto urbano largo tiempo madurado y culminado en la conformaci��n de un espacio abierto y regularizado, emblem��tico y representativo, que result�� ser la plaza situada frente a la portada principal del Alc��zar.

���The new Cagliostro���: Onofroff, Rub��n Dar��o and his story "La esfinge"

The article retraces the career of the famous hypnotist Onofroff and particularly his visit to Buenos Aires, where his activity, in 1895, provoked many discussions and some public embarrassment. In this context Dar��o, using a pseudonym, published his cr��nica ���La esfinge���. We reproduce ���La esfinge���, transcribing the original text of La Naci��n, with annotations identifying the literary and theosophical sources Dar��o used when he wrote it.
