Science has remained in hegemonic position among the various forms of knowledge that enable us perceive our surroundings. After a growing movement of introversion of the scientific field, which enabled the empowerment of the academy, it is growing today the discussion about the need to spread knowledge of this area to society. Our study aims to observe the discourse of institutional science communication, taking into account the historical conditions that made possible the emergence of science as legitimate observation of nature and of man and also the credibility granted to the media. Therefore, we have as our study object the editorials of the Darcy magazine, for scientific and cultural journalism of the University of Brasilia. We focused on observing the discourse of knowledge sharing by the media, using the concepts of field, from Bourdieu’s work, and Agamben’s "profanation" together with notions from the organizational communication area. Also, the concepts of dispositive, discourse and knowledge-power used are based on the studies from the French school which associate them to the need of thinking power as a relation between what is and what is not said, having Michel Foucault as an important exponent of this area. The research, which uses as a method the Discourse Analysis, shows us a process of mutual validation of the scientific and journalistic discourses, which contribute to the strengthening of the institution itself as well as the scientific field, in texts which have as a backdrop the institutional image and reputation.

This dissertation is the result of a research process that sought , from the speech of women in situations of violence , examine the difficulties these women to access the "network " of assistance to women victims of violence in the city of Natal/RN . Therefore , we made a critical analysis from the perspective of totality on the processual ontological " being a woman " and " be a man " , articulating the determinations of the subjective and objective dimensions in the lives of women at this juncture . Thus , also reflecting on the system of oppression of women through Capitalism / Patriarchate , articulated with other determinations of reality , as race / ethnicity , sexual orientation , generation and territoriality . Because of the oppression of women in all aspects of social life , the feminist movement led to the public domain claims against the oppressions of women and fight for Public Social Policies that aim to the particularities of women , among them, the social policies of coping violence against women . The speeches of the women interviewed show the contradictory aspect of work in women's lives . On the one hand , can become a means to financial independence ( with the possibility of exit from violent means). On the other , it can become "cause " of justification for the exercise of violence against women by their partners or former partners . Also show that despite legal advances , there is no effective implementation of policies aimed at women . This occurs as a result of capitalism / patriarchy and the context of neoliberal management of big capital . Thus , the feminist movement , as well as the social movement of the working class , must seek the empowerment of women through the struggle to end all forms of oppression , exploitation and domination among humans.

The new management models have led to the reorganization of institutions today. Much is made in improving the delivery of public services entities, and they have sought to adopt these new initiatives in order to improve the quality of the product or service offered to users. The modernization of the management model at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) strengthened by the accession of the institution to GesPública Program, which focuses on the management modernization leading institutions to seek ways to fit to meet the demands proposed the Program. Therefore, the Department of Personnel Administration (DAP) has structured its processes and procedures using the mapping tool processes. This research starts from the question: what were the results obtained with the implementation of the management and process mapping of PAD? It is proposed as a general objective to analyze the management and the mapping of that Board processes, identifying the possible benefits in improving the quality of the services provided to users. The specific objectives to achieve results, are pointed out: describe how you carried out the implementation of the management and process mapping in DAP and how it is working at the moment; examine the line in the relationship between the actions developed by the DAP and modern theories of this theme; identify the evolution of the sector with the measures adopted and the results obtained with the implementation of the mapping tool. In the theoretical framework, it was approached a brief history of the evolution of public administration in Brazil, GesPública program and its importance for process management in public institutions as well as the Management and Process Mapping. The context of the study was the DAP, and participants were managers of the institution in the survey. Data collection was done through the study of the institution's documents, bibliography analysis available on the topic, questionnaires and semi-structured interviews with professionals of the institution involved with the object of study, since its inception until July 2015, when it was finished the search. As a result, were listed: the motivation, importance, benefits and innovations that management and the mapping of processes brought to the institution, point out what has been improved in the service users and the tools used. We also analyze the main problems identified during the implementation of the mapping. As a suggestion, it was analyzed how these procedures can, if possible, be extended to other sectors of UFRN.

Este estudo teve como primeiro dos seus objectivos conhecer as percepções de um grupo de trabalhadores acerca de algumas políticas e de algumas práticas de responsabilidade social interna, nomeadamente, da formação oferecida pela empresa, da capacidade que esta tem de fomentar a sua autonomia e a sua iniciativa, das práticas de comunicação existentes na empresa, do equilíbrio que esta proporciona entre a sua vida profissional e a sua vida familiar, dos planos de saúde, segurança e apoio social por ela disponibilizados, da diversidade de mão-de-obra, da(des)igualdade em termos de remuneração e perspectivas de carreira entre homens e mulheres, dos esquemas de atribuição de prémios, da segurança dos postos de trabalho, da preocupação da empresa com a sua empregabilidade futura e, finalmente, da(in)existência de práticas discriminatórias. Procurou também alcançar dois outros objectivos, ou seja, descobrir se as percepções dos trabalhadores relativamente às políticas e às práticas acima descritas exercem ou não algum tipo de influência sobre a sua motivação no trabalho e perceber qual o papel que a antiguidade dos trabalhadores desempenha nesta relação. Após a apresentação e a análise de várias perspectivas históricas acerca da responsabilidade social das empresas surgidas a partir da década de 50 e de algumas das teorias da motivação que foram aparecendo ao longo do mesmo espaço de tempo, esta dissertação expôs um caso de estudo de 75 trabalhadores de uma empresa nacional de distribuição alimentar. Através dos dados recolhidos da aplicação de um questionário, este estudo explorou a relação entre as suas percepções acerca das políticas e das práticas de responsabilidade social interna em vigor na empresa e a sua motivação e qual o papel da sua antiguidade nesta relação. Os resultados obtidos mostram que a maioria dos trabalhadores inquiridos apresenta uma percepção positiva relativamente às políticas e às práticas de responsabilidade social interna da sua empresa, à excepção do que se refere aos planos de saúde, segurança e apoio social por ela disponibilizados e à sua preocupação com a empregabilidade futura dos seus trabalhadores, e permitem concluir que as percepções positivas têm maior impacto sobre a motivação no trabalho, à excepção do que diz respeito à percepção do equilíbrio entre a vida profissional e a vida familiar proporcionado pela empresa. Conclui-se também que o papel da antiguidade na relação entre percepções das políticas e das práticas de responsabilidade social interna e motivação no trabalho é insignificante. / The primary objective of this study was to learn about the perceptions held by a group of workers concerning some of their company's policies and practices relative to internal social responsibility, in particular, any training offered by the firm, and its role in improving autonomy and initiative. Also of interest were the methods of communication within the firm, the balance provided between the professional and personal lives of personnel, and health, security and social support available to them. The study considered as well the diversity of the workforce, equality (or inequality) of remuneration, and career prospects between men and women, premium allocation schemes, job security, the company's concern for employability, and the existence (or not) of discriminatory practices. Secondary objectives were to discover if the perceptions of workers concerning the policies and practices mentioned above have (or not) any influence on their motivation at work, and to determine any effect of the length of service on this. Opinions were gathered by means of a questionnaire. After the presentation and analysis of various historical perspectives concerning corporate social responsibility from the 1950s onwards and of some of the motivation theories that appeared along the same period of time, this study examines the case of 75 employees of a national company in the food distribution business. The results of the afore-mentioned questionnaire show that the majority of those questioned has a positive attitude towards the policies and practices of their company's internal social responsibility, except concerning health-care, security and social support, and the firm's interest in their future careers, and lead to the conclusion that a positive perception has a greater impact on the workers' motivation. However, they are critical of the importance given by their employer to their personal lives. This study also concludes that length of service has insignificant impact on the perceptions of workers concerning their company's policies and practices relative to internal social responsibility, and on worker motivation.

The continuous advancement in computing, together with the decline in its cost, has resulted in technology becoming ubiquitous (Arbaugh, 2008, Gros, 2007). Technology is growing and is part of our lives in almost every respect, including the way we learn. Technology helps to collapse time and space in learning. For example, technology allows learners to engage with their instructors synchronously, in real time and also asynchronously, by enabling sessions to be recorded. Space and distance is no longer an issue provided there is adequate bandwidth, which determines the most appropriate format such text, audio or video. Technology has revolutionised the way learners learn; courses are designed; and ‘lessons’ are delivered, and continues to do so. The learning process can be made vastly more efficient as learners have knowledge at their fingertips, and unfamiliar concepts can be easily searched and an explanation found in seconds. Technology has also enabled learning to be more flexible, as learners can learn anywhere; at any time; and using different formats, e.g. text or audio. From the perspective of the instructors and L&D providers, technology offers these same advantages, plus easy scalability. Administratively, preparatory work can be undertaken more quickly even whilst student numbers grow. Learners from far and new locations can be easily accommodated. In addition, many technologies can be easily scaled to accommodate new functionality and/ or other new technologies. ‘Designing and Developing Digital and Blended Learning Solutions’ (5DBS), has been developed to recognise the growing importance of technology in L&D. This unit contains four learning outcomes and two assessment criteria, which is the same for all other units, besides Learning Outcome 3 which has three assessment criteria. The four learning outcomes in this unit are: • Learning Outcome 1: Understand current digital technologies and their contribution to learning and development solutions; • Learning Outcome 2: Be able to design blended learning solutions that make appropriate use of new technologies alongside more traditional approaches; • Learning Outcome 3: Know about the processes involved in designing and developing digital learning content efficiently and what makes for engaging and effective digital learning content; • Learning Outcome 4: Understand the issues involved in the successful implementation of digital and blended learning solutions. Each learning outcome is an individual chapter and each assessment unit is allocated its own sections within the respective chapters. This first chapter addresses the first learning outcome, which has two assessment criteria: summarise the range of currently available learning technologies; critically assess a learning requirement to determine the contribution that could be made through the use of learning technologies. The introduction to chapter one is in Section 1.0. Chapter 2 discusses the design of blended learning solutions in consideration of how digital learning technologies may support face-to-face and online delivery. Three learning theory sets: behaviourism; cognitivism; constructivism, are introduced, and the implication of each set of theory on instructional design for blended learning discussed. Chapter 3 centres on how relevant digital learning content may be created. This chapter includes a review of the key roles, tools and processes that are involved in developing digital learning content. Finally, Chapter 4 concerns delivery and implementation of digital and blended learning solutions. This chapter surveys the key formats and models used to inform the configuration of virtual learning environment software platforms. In addition, various software technologies which may be important in creating a VLE ecosystem that helps to enhance the learning experience, are outlined. We introduce the notion of personal learning environment (PLE), which has emerged from the democratisation of learning. We also review the roles, tools, standards and processes that L&D practitioners need to consider within a delivery and implementation of digital and blended learning solution.

This research examined the personnel policies of the Federal University of Pará (UFPA), aimed at the middle area, implemented by the President's Office of Personnel Management (PROGEP), through the Performance Management and Development from 2006 to 2009 period, in which Institutional Plan was implemented for Technical and administrative (PIDT) with a view to ascertaining whether these actions were developed in line with the ideas of managerialism or New Public Management (NPM). The study opted for qualitative research using interview as a tool to collect data. The informants were managers PROGEP / UFPA who acted in that period. Data interpretation was based on analysis of content from the collation of speeches and documents produced during the period with the managerial categories. Data analysis revealed that the management of people, UFPA has the characteristics of a hybrid management, observing the period studied two models of management: a bureaucratic, rational, focused on processes, contemporary face of public organizations, and other managerialist, adopted by PROGEP in obedience to the mandatory policies of the federal government, being much more present the characteristics of a personnel policy-oriented processes. Concludes that the personnel policy of the UFPA has not been fully tuned to managerialism in the surveyed period

This present work aimed to investigate, through the structuring element Fato Administrativo , the way rationality guides the processes of personnel management at the Associação Companhia TerrAmar , which operates in the district of Felipe Camarão in Natal/RN. This paper is characterized by a descriptive study, as it sought to establish the relationship between the materialization of the studied phenomenon - by means of a theoretical framework consisting of the following theories: Fato Administrativo (GUERREIRO RAMOS, 1983), Substantive and Instrumental Rationality (GUERREIRO RAMOS, 1981) and Proceedings of Personnel Management proposed by Joel Dutra (2004). As the main research findings, time as an intrinsic element of the Fato Administrativo - suffers much interference from external factors, especially from the sponsors of the researched organization and also from their bureaucratic control tools; not directly relating to the processes of Personnel Management, though. Among these, it was noticed that there isn‟t a dialogue between the sponsors and the theory, due to incompatibilities regarding the structure and nature of each organization. Both movement and development have stood out. These are processes that are guided by elements of substantive rationality, literally speaking, including personal, emancipatory and solidarity values. Thus, it is stated that for future research a compatible model of Personnel Management should be built and explored (compatible with the nature of nonprofit organizations). Understanding, in depth, the processes separately aiming to understand each work is also advised. Trying to fully understand the ways of overcoming the lack of skilled workers to perform activities in similar organizations needs to be considered as well

La fin du traitement actif et le début de la phase de survie correspondent à une période de transition qui présente de nombreux défis pour la personne survivante au cancer, les soignants et le système de santé. La phase de survie au cancer est une phase distincte mais négligée du continuum de soins. Pour faciliter la transition de la fin du traitement actif vers la survie et optimiser la coordination des soins de suivi, la mise en place d’un plan de soins de suivi (PSS) est proposée. Le but de cette recherche est de développer, de mettre en place et d’évaluer si un plan de soins de suivi (PSS) permet de répondre aux besoins globaux, de diminuer la détresse émotionnelle et de favoriser les comportements d’autogestion de santé de femmes atteintes du cancer de l’endomètre (FACE) lors de la transition de la fin du traitement actif vers la survie au cancer. Elle comprend deux phases distinctes. La première phase visait d’abord le développement d’un plan de soins de suivi (PSS) pour des femmes atteintes du cancer de l’endomètre avec traitements adjuvants. La sélection du contenu du PSS a été faite à partir de la recension des écrits et des données recueillies lors d’entrevues individuelles avec 19 FACE, 24 professionnels de la santé travaillant avec cette clientèle et quatre gestionnaires de proximité en oncologie. Cette première phase avait également pour but la validation du contenu du PSS auprès de dix professionnels de la santé impliqués dans l’étude. La seconde phase consistait à évaluer la faisabilité, l’acceptabilité du PSS et à en pré-tester l’utilité à répondre aux besoins globaux, à diminuer la détresse émotionnelle (peur de la récidive) et à favoriser l’autogestion de santé auprès d’un groupe de 18 femmes atteintes du cancer de l’endomètre avec traitements adjuvants à la fin du traitement actif vers la survie. Sur le plan de la faisabilité, les résultats suggèrent que la mise en place du PSS comporte des défis en termes de temps, de ressources et de coordination pour l’infirmière pivot en oncologie (IPO). Concernant l’acceptabilité du PSS, les FACE le perçoivent comme un outil d’information utile qui favorise la communication avec le médecin de famille ou d’autres professionnels de la santé. Les IPO soutiennent sa valeur ajoutée à la fin du traitement et soulignent que la discussion du contenu du PSS fait ressortir des éléments de surveillance et de suivi essentiels à prendre en compte pour la phase de survie et permet de mettre l’emphase sur l’autogestion de sa santé. Pour les médecins de famille, le PSS est un outil d’information pour les survivantes qui favorise la réassurance, la communication et la continuité des soins entre professionnels de la santé. Enfin, pour ce qui est de l’utilité du PSS à répondre aux besoins globaux, les résultats suggèrent que l’ensemble des besoins sont plus satisfaits trois mois après la fin des traitements pour le groupe ayant reçu un PSS. Bien que la peur de récidive du cancer (PRC) s’améliore au suivi de trois mois pour le groupe exposé au PSS, 55% des FACE conservent un score cliniquement significatif de 13 à la sous-échelle de sévérité de peur de récidive à la fin du traitement et 42% au suivi de trois mois. Les comportements d’autogestion de santé s’améliorent entre la fin du traitement et le suivi de trois mois pour le groupe exposé un PSS. Considérant ces résultats, la démarche soutient la pertinence de mettre en place un PSS à la fin du traitement actif pour les FACE pour répondre à des besoins d’information, favoriser la communication et la continuité des soins avec les professionnels de la santé et les comportements d’autogestion de santé dans la phase de survie. Cependant, des contraintes de temps, de ressources et de coordination doivent être prises en compte pour sa mise en place dans le milieu clinique. In this thesis, proactive marketing is suggested to be a broader concept than existing research assumes. Although the concept has been mentioned in the context of competitive advantage in previous research, it has not been comprehensively described. This thesis shows that proactive marketing is more than investing in marketing communications of a company. Proactive marketing is described as a three-phased process that contains different customer value identification, creation, and delivery activities. The purpose of proactive marketing is essentially to anticipate and pursue market opportunities that bring value to the company’s stakeholders. Ultimately, proactive marketing aims at acting first on the market, shaping the markets, and thus reaching competitive advantage. The proactive marketing process is supported by the structures of an organization. Suitable structures for proactive marketing are identified in the thesis based on existing research and through an empirical analysis. Moreover, proactive marketing is related to two management theories: the dynamic capabilities framework and the empowerment of employees. A dynamic environment requires companies that pursue proactive marketing to change continuously. Dynamic capabilities are considered as tools of the management, which enable companies to create suitable conditions for the constant change. Empowerment of employees is a management practice that creates proactive behaviors in individuals. The empirical analysis is conducted in an online company operating in the rapidly changing marketplace of the Internet. Through the empirical analysis, the thesis identifies in practice how proactiveness manifests in the marketing process of a company, how organizational structures facilitate proactive marketing, and how proactive marketing is managed. The theoretical contribution of this thesis consist of defining the proactive marketing concept comprehensively and providing further research suggestions related to proactive marketing.

A dissertação intitulada “Desencontros legais e morais na pesca artesanal: a Educação Ambiental política para a transformação socioambiental em Rio Grande/RS e São José do Norte/RS” busca analisar a compreensão das comunidades de pescadores artesanais do Rio Grande e de São José do Norte acerca de aspectos do desencontro entre as normas legais pesqueiras e as normas morais daqueles atores sociais, e os reflexos na conservação do meio ambiente e no exercício da cidadania ambiental, a fim de colaborar, por intermédio da Educação Ambiental, com o fortalecimento dos pescadores para a reversão do atual quadro de crise social e ambiental vivenciada na pesca artesanal da região, bem como para refletir sobre a ineficiência das regras legais aplicáveis no estuário da Lagoa dos Patos. Para tanto os objetivos foram estruturados de forma a investigar os aspectos do desencontro mencionado; analisar seus reflexos no declínio da conservação dos recursos renováveis e no exercício da cidadania pelos pescadores artesanais; e apresentar alternativas possíveis pela e para a Educação Ambiental, enquanto educação política, visando a proporcionar a transformação socioambiental dos pescadores para a garantia de sua participação cidadã nas esferas de decisão relativas à sua vida social e profissional. A pesquisa teve uma abordagem qualitativa, com enfoque teórico-metodológico nas representações coletivas dos pescadores. O trabalho foi composto de levantamento bibliográfico e documental, que serviu de apoio para a obtenção das representações mediante a realização de grupos focais junto a quatro comunidades de pescadores nas cidades pesquisadas. Esse corpus de pesquisa foi analisado com base na metodologia Análise Textual Discursiva. Os resultados obtidos indicaram que a crise instaurada na pesca ultrapassa a dicotomia existente entre as leis ambientais e as normas morais dos pescadores artesanais, emergindo o aspecto da necessidade financeira e de sobrevivência de pescadores e de suas famílias. Verificou-se, outrossim, que o desencontro pesquisado refletiu negativamente na conservação dos recursos naturais, na medida em que gerou a falta de efetividade de leis relacionadas àquela atividade profissional, repercutindo desfavoravelmente no exercício da cidadania ambiental pelos pescadores. Concluiu-se que a Educação Ambiental política possui um papel fundamental para o empoderamento dos pescadores artesanais em busca de sua participação ativa nos processos de gestão dos recursos pesqueiros estuarinos, numa verdadeira governança participativa, voltada à conservação ambiental e edificação do bem coletivo.

Tämän tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli selvittää kuinka yrittäjän verkostot muodostuvat ja minkälainen niiden rakenne on. Tavoitteena oli myös saada tietoa yrittäjän sosiaalisten verkostojen merkityksestä yrittäjälle. Tutkimus toteutettiin laadullisena tutkimuksena. Tutkimusaineisto kerättiin strukturoidulla haastattelulla ja tutkimusaineiston rinnalla käytettiin yrittäjien havainnollistamia piirroksia sekä tieteellisiä julkaisuja ja kirjallisuutta. Haastateltavina oli sekä nais- että miesyrittäjiä eri paikkakunnilta Etelä-Suomen alueelta. Tutkimustulosten mukaan yrittäjien verkostoissa voidaan havaita eri tasoja, jotka rakentuvat eri tavoilla ja ovat yrittäjälle merkitykseltään erilaisia. Verkoston eri tasoille sijoittuu yrittäjälle tärkeitä ihmisiä sen mukaan mitä hyötyä ja arvoa heillä yrittäjälle on. Tulokset osoittavat, että verkostojen rakentamiseen vaikuttavat sekä liiketoiminnan laatu, motiivit sekä yrittäjän persoona. Tulokset ovat linjassa tämän tutkimuksen perustana olevien teorioiden kanssa. Viitteitä löytyy myös siitä, että yrittäjän sukupuolella on myös merkitystä siihen, millaiseksi sosiaaliset verkostot rakentuvat sekä henkilökohtaisessa elämässä että liike-elämän puolella. Sosiaalisista verkostoista saatavat hyödyt ovat moninaisia. Lisätutkimuksia tulisi tehdä tehokkaiden työkalujen kehittämiseksi henkilöstön ja yrittäjän omien resurssien tunnistamiseksi. Tätä kautta myös yrittäjyyskasvatusta ja yrittäjäneuvontaa voitaisiin tehostaa.
