Controlador dedicado de Ecrãs LCD/TFT

Para dar resposta aos grandes avanços tecnológicos e, consequentemente, à postura mais exigente dos clientes, a empresa Francisco Parracho – Electrónica Industrial, Lda., que tem actividade no ramo dos elevadores, decidiu introduzir no mercado um controlador dedicado de ecrãs Liquid Crystal Display / Thin Film Transistor (LCD / TFT). O objectivo é substituir um sistema suportado por um computador, caracterizado pelas suas elevadas dimensões e custos, mas incontornável até à data, nomeadamente para resoluções de ecrã elevadas. E assim nasceu este trabalho. Com uma selecção criteriosa de todos os componentes e, principalmente, sem funcionalidades inúteis, obteve-se um sistema embebido com dimensões e custos bem mais reduzidos face ao seu opositor. O ecrã apontado para este projecto é um Thin Film Transistor – Liquid Crystal Display (TFT-LCD) da Sharp de 10.4” de qualidade industrial, com uma resolução de 800 x 600 píxeis a 18 bits por píxel. Para tal, foi escolhido um micro-controlador da ATMEL, um AVR de 32 bits que, entre outras características, possui um controlador LCD que suporta resoluções até 2048 x 2048 píxeis, de 1 a 24 bits por píxel. Atendendo ao facto deste produto ser inserido na área dos elevadores, as funcionalidades, quer a nível do hardware quer a nível do software, foram projectadas para este âmbito. Contudo, o conceito aqui exposto é adjacente a quaisquer outras áreas onde este produto se possa aplicar, até porque o software está feito para se tornar bem flexível. Com a ajuda de um kit de desenvolvimento, foram validados os drivers dos controladores e periféricos base deste projecto. De seguida, aplicou-se esse software numa placa de circuito impresso, elaborada no âmbito deste trabalho, para que fossem cumpridos todos os requisitos requeridos pela empresa patrocinadora: - Apresentação de imagens no ecrã consoante o piso; - Possibilidade de ter um texto horizontalmente deslizante;Indicação animada do sentido do elevador; - Representação do piso com deslizamento vertical; - Descrição sumária do directório de pisos também com deslizamento vertical; - Relógio digital; - Leitura dos conteúdos pretendidos através de um cartão SD/MMC; - Possibilidade de actualização dos conteúdos via USB flash drive.

Muntatge i automatització d'un ascensor de 4 plantes

Treball de recerca realitzat per alumnes d'ensenyament secundari i guardonat amb un Premi CIRIT per fomentar l'esperit cientí­fic del Jovent l'any 2009. Les primera intenció d'aquesta recerca és unificar dues grans branques de la tecnologia com són la mecànica i l'elèctronica. Així va sorgir el projecte de construir un ascensor i provar un nou sistema de transmissió com és el vis sense fi juntament amb la introducció d'un microcontrolador del tipus PIC com a unitat central de processament. El primer pas d'aquest treball va ser el disseny d'aquest ascensor utilitzant diversos programes. Posteriorment es van encarregar aquestes peces abans dissenyades per tal de començar-ne la construcció. Aquestes peces van ser unides totalment mitjançant rebladures i altres suports mecànics. A continuació es va desenvolupar la programació del microcontrolador. El pas més important va ser l'acoblament del grup motor i el poliment dels aspectes més difícils de corregir com és el cas dels molts fregaments que patia al ser una estructura purament metàl·lica. Corregits aquests problemes i el nivell sonor, es va donar per conclòs el treball.

El sistema contiene diferentes tipos de usuarios de los departamentos de la empresa y esta administrado por unos flujos con relación de dependencia que van marcando el ritmo del trabajo. Este backOffice está pensado para abarcar todo el procedimiento de la fábrica, desde que se presenta la oferta al cliente hasta que se entrega la máquina.

The Public Health Agency advises that making small changes to your own and your family's lifestyle can have a significant impact on improving overall health. Taking time to reflect, and making a plan, can all help. Choosing healthier food and increasing your physical activity will help maintain a healthy weight and prevent unwanted weight gain, which can have serious implications for a person's physical and mental health as it is associated with an increased risk of heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, some cancers, respiratory problems, joint pain and depression.What can I do to improve my health?Make 1 or 2 small changes at a time - don't try to change your lifestyle radically or all at once as you're more likely to fail. Small changes in what you eat, or how active you are, are easier to make and more likely to be maintained.Mary Black, Assistant Director of Health and Wellbeing Improvement, PHA, said: "The New Year brings a time when many people reflect on their lives and very often eating more healthily is one of things they identify for change. On the impact of fundamentals, liquidity and coordination on market stability

We develop a coordination game to model interactions betweenfundamentals and liquidity during unstable periods in financial markets.We then propose a flexible econometric framework for estimationof the model and analysis of its quantitative implications. The specificempirical application is carry trades in the yen dollar market, includingthe turmoil of 1998. We find a generally very deep market, withlow information disparities amongst agents. We observe occasionallyepisodes of market fragility, or turmoil with up by the escalator, downby the elevator patterns in prices. The key role of strategic behaviorin the econometric model is also confirmed.

Protecting our bridges for the future, April 2006

Changes in agriculture operations over the past 35 years are having a dramatic impact on Iowa’s roads and bridges. The average size of an Iowa farm has increased to 352 acres in 2003, compared to 237 acres in 1970. Modern agricultural practices have also produced higher yields per acre, which means more grain to haul to market. In order to increase efficiency, farmers are beginning to use larger capacity wagons hauling more bushels per trip to the elevator, and using much heavier equipment in their farming operations. This trend is stressing Iowa bridges beyond the current capabilities to maintain them.

New directions in Stochastic Multicriteria Acceptability Analysis

Decisions taken in modern organizations are often multi-dimensional, involving multiple decision makers and several criteria measured on different scales. Multiple Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) methods are designed to analyze and to give recommendations in this kind of situations. Among the numerous MCDM methods, two large families of methods are the multi-attribute utility theory based methods and the outranking methods. Traditionally both method families require exact values for technical parameters and criteria measurements, as well as for preferences expressed as weights. Often it is hard, if not impossible, to obtain exact values. Stochastic Multicriteria Acceptability Analysis (SMAA) is a family of methods designed to help in this type of situations where exact values are not available. Different variants of SMAA allow handling all types of MCDM problems. They support defining the model through uncertain, imprecise, or completely missing values. The methods are based on simulation that is applied to obtain descriptive indices characterizing the problem. In this thesis we present new advances in the SMAA methodology. We present and analyze algorithms for the SMAA-2 method and its extension to handle ordinal preferences. We then present an application of SMAA-2 to an area where MCDM models have not been applied before: planning elevator groups for high-rise buildings. Following this, we introduce two new methods to the family: SMAA-TRI that extends ELECTRE TRI for sorting problems with uncertain parameter values, and SMAA-III that extends ELECTRE III in a similar way. An efficient software implementing these two methods has been developed in conjunction with this work, and is briefly presented in this thesis. The thesis is closed with a comprehensive survey of SMAA methodology including a definition of a unified framework.

Hissikuiluelementtien soveltuvuus kerrostalojen saneerauskohteisiin

Työn tavoitteena oli kartoittaa hissikuiluelementtien markkinapotentiaali kerrostalojen saneerauskohteissa, arvioida yhtiön markkinointi- ja suunnitteluresursseja, tehdä tuotannon kehittämissuunnitelma ja analysoida elementtiliiketoiminnan kannattavuus. Tutkimus sisältää sekä teoreettisen että empiirisen osan. Teoreettisessa osassa tutkittiin markkinoita ja niihin vaikuttamista sekä markkinoiden kilpailukeinoja ja toteuttamistapoja teoreettisesti kirjallisuuden avulla. Markkinaselvityksessä saatiin selville toteutuneiden kohteiden kautta potentiaaliset toimitusmäärät tulevaisuudessa. Tarkasteltiin yhtiön kykyä vastata kysyntään markkinointi-, suunnittelu- sekä valmistuskapasiteetin osalta. Lopuksi laskettiin kysynnän aiheuttama lisäinvestointikustannus ja määriteltiintuotteen hinta. Näin pystyttiin laskemaan liiketoiminnan kannattavuuskalkyyli, mikä kannusti panostamaan markkinaan. Saneeraushissikuilutoiminta osoittautui kannattavaksi Specifinn Oy:ssä määriteltyjen investointien tuottotavoitteen kannalta.

Standardizing Customized Features of a Configurable Product

Työn päätavoitteena on arvioida hissien automaattiovien usein toistuvien asiakaskohtaisesti räätälöityjen tuoteominaisuuksien vakioimisen kannattavuutta KONEen Hyvinkään tehtaalla. Työssä arvioidaan myös massaräätälöinnin periaatteiden soveltuvuutta erikoisovien toimitusprosessiin sekä toimintoperusteisen kustannustiedon tarpeellisuutta tuoteominaisuuksia koskevien päätösten teossa. Asiakaskohtaisesti räätälöity ovituotanto jaettiin kategorioihin, joiden volyymeja ja tuotemuutosten tekoon käytettyjä suunnittelutuntimääriä analysoimalla selvitettiin, muodostaako jokin räätälöitävä tuoteominaisuus riittävän suuren kappalemääräisen kysynnän tai suunnittelutuntien kulutuskohteen, jotta ominaisuuden vakiointi olisi kannattavaa. Ovien kustannusrakenne-esimerkkien avulla selvitettiin myös suunnittelun osuus kokonaiskustannuksista. Analyysien perusteella todettiin asiakaskohtaisten muutosten olevan hajanaisia ja vain muutaman ominaisuuden osalta muodostuvan tarpeeksi suuri ja yhtenäinen kokonaisuus, joka olisi taloudellisesti kannattavaavakioida. Monimutkaisen tuoterakenteen vuoksi massaräätälöinnin opit eivät ole suoraan kopioitavissa hissien erikoisovien toimitusprosessiin, mutta sisältävät hyödyllisiä toimintamalleja prosessin kehittämiseen.

Implementing the Product Configurator in a Large Manufacturing Company

Työn tavoitteena on kuvata hissin ovien tuotekonfigurointiprosessia sekä SAP R/3 tuotekonfiguraattorin käyttöönoton aiheuttamia vaikutuksia. Työssä kuvataan myös uuden tuotekonfiguraattorin kehitystä, testausta, käyttöönottoa sekä pitkäaikaishallintaa. Tuotekonfigurointi on tehokas tapa toteuttaa massaräätälöintiä. Sen tarkoituksena on yhdistää massatuotannon ja asiakaskohtaisen tuotannon etuja tarjoamalla asiakkaille räätälöityjä, esisuunniteltuihin komponentteihin ja ennalta määrättyyn konfigurointimalliin perustuvia tuotteita. Näitä tuotteita tuotetaan konfigurointiprosessissa. Tämä prosessi voi olla erittäin monimutkainen ja altis virheille, joten sen tueksi on kehitetty tuotekonfiguraattoreita. Tuotekonfiguraattorit voivat tehostaa konfigurointiprosessia merkittävästi. KONE on valmistanut konfiguroitavia tuotteita useita vuosikymmeniä ja se on käyttänyt prosessien tukemiseen useita eri konfiguraattoreita. Näin ollen uuden konfiguraattorin käyttöönoton vaikutusten ei oleteta olevan niin dramaattisia kuin otettaessa konfiguraattoria käyttöön ensimmäisen kerran. Uudella konfiguraattorilla on kuitenkin useita vaikutuksia tuotteen hallintaan, konfigurointiprosessiin, tietojärjestelmiin, alihankkijoihin sekä asiakkaisiin.
