Formação de professores e a prática docente: a perspectiva discente sobre a orientação e a docência nos trabalhos de conclusão de curso

No Brasil, a partir dos anos 90, as pesquisas educacionais passaram a focalizar a prática docente e os saberes pedagógicos, pois eram temas poucos explorados, colocando em cena o desenvolvimento pessoal e profissional dos professores, pois havia necessidade de se construir lógicas de formação que valorizassem a experiência, como: aluno, aluno-mestre, estagiário, professor principiante, professor titular, professor reformado. Nesse universo escolheu-se pesquisar as representações que os alunos/estudantes de um curso de licenciatura, Educação Física, construíram de seus professores e orientadores nos agradecimentos de seus trabalhos de conclusão de curso (TCC), tendo como referência a prática docente. Portanto, buscou-se identificar nos saberes da experiência, ou dessa experiência, registrados em 150 TCC, os aspectos significativos de histórias de vidas circunscritas em micro narrativas que apontam para o desenvolvimento pessoal, bem como para dimensões do exercício profissional de professores e orientadores (TCC). Trata-se de uma pesquisa descritiva, tendo como técnicas fonte documental, entrevista e análise de conteúdo. Entre os resultados encontrados nas categorias orientador, professor geral e professor específico se pode apontar no âmbito dos licenciandos, a emergência de uma pedagogia oculta que valoriza de forma muito acentuada aspectos da dimensão humana nas relações interpessoais da prática docente com ênfase maior no afetivo, seguido da moral, do cognitivo. Como considerações finais, aponta-se que, em termos de perfil profissional, valoriza-se tanto nos orientadores como nos professores (geral e específico) o exercício da profissionalidade docente composto pela obrigação moral, compromisso com a comunidade e competência profissional.

Educandas do PEJA em conversas sobre a língua inglesa e sua influência no cotidiano

This paper was developed through literacy events (Barton, 2000) about English language, understood as a social practice of writing and reading. The subjects involved in this research were women, between forty and seventy years old, students of a Young and Adult Education Project (PEJA) that occurs at UNESP/Rio Claro, whose are looking forward to conclude basic school. We intended to see in their speeches reflections about the English language presence in our society and how they deal with this foreign language. Thus, we optimize this contact exposing those women to daily situations where English language was present. To foment dialog and ideas discussions, we brought to the classes common elements, materials such as street advertisements photos with words in English. We noticed that most students recognize the constant English presence and, even they never had formal English education, they were able to establish relations between the uses of English words in everyday Portuguese at most different spheres of life. And, at many times, foreign word comprehension is related to English words use instead of a native one leading to an English naturalization process in the Brazilians speeches world.

A utilização de jogos lúdico-didáticos no ensino de língua inglesa

Nowadays the accelerated development arising from globalization and the interrelation of the nations, the great increase in communication between different countries and the necessity for knowledge in different linguistic structures, the interest in learning a foreign language is crescent, and thinking about it, this work has the scope to verify how young and adult learners of a foreign language, in this case English, behave, that is, how best to develop the four language skills of the language: listening, writing, speaking, and reading and how the use of recreational and educational games can help this dichotomy between teaching-learning. The present research, theoretical and analytical basis, aims to make a study on how fun games can influence the teaching and learning of English in an audience of young and adult people and that includes a study of how human history has evolved, more precisely, as history of education was influenced by the playful and how the human mind also becomes over time. Nowadays, the playful is a tool that has been widely used pedagogically in teaching foreign languages and every day opens new manners and ways of teaching languages, always with its array of spaced more possibilities. Under this assumption, the focus of this research is discover how the use of recreational and educational games may influence grammar greater understanding and language development of young and adults students in learning English, and also what better way to introduce these games, that is, a contextualized content being discussed each time during the school way, so that the games may be, of course, used for relaxation of the students, but also (and especially) for their intellectual growth and language development

Musicalização infantil: uma reflexão sobre o processo de formação de professores

Neste trabalho socializo resultados produzidos a partir de uma proposta de pesquisa e intervenção desenvolvida com professoras do Ensino Fundamental I de uma escola pública do interior do estado de São Paulo. Fui coordenador de um curso de musicalização desenvolvido em dez encontros no contexto do HTPC (Horário de Trabalho Pedagógico Coletivo), e que ofereceu subsídios para a atuação dessas professoras em sala de aula. Assim, por meio de uma abordagem qualitativa, seguindo a metodologia de pesquisa de orientação sócio histórica, na qual o pesquisador e o pesquisado aprendem juntos “produzindo sentidos dos eventos observados” (FREITAS, 2003, p. 31), busquei refletir sobre a importância do processo formativo na área musical de professoras do Ensino Fundamental I, através da reflexão sobre a experiência formativa dessas professoras com as quais pesquisei. Os dados produzidos analisados no presente trabalho são falas e escritas das professoras coletadas no terceiro e no último encontro, respectivamente, na busca por compreender a potencialidade dos encontros para repensar na concepção de música e musicalização dos professores

A empatia, a sensibilização e a formação de professores do ensino público para uma inclusão efetiva de alunos com necessidades educacionais especiais

Special education and inclusion of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in regular classrooms of public schools has being widely discussed in academic and political areas. From Salamanca Declaration signed in 1994, which established that the education of people with special needs should be guaranteed by public system, being offered within regular classrooms said. Along the inclusion process, has been observed an increasingly difficult for teachers to work with these special students. This difficulty comes from an incomplete or inadequate formation, resulting in an education that is not always inclusive. The present work aims to investigate what are the motivational factors that lead teachers, working in public schools, to seek continuing courses of formation in specialized educational services, and what are the possible impediments that eschew them from seeking such courses. Data were collected through questionnaires given to elementary school teachers, from public schools in the city of Rio Claro- SP. With their answer, it could be identified what are the motivational factors of the quest for continuing formation, as well as facts that obstruct this specialization. It could be observed that there is a need for constant training of the education professionals, for them to be able to appropriate of the inclusion as a pedagogical approach, not just a law and far from reality

O mercado editorial na formação dos professores da educação básica: levantamento e caracterização de revistas pedagógicas (1996-210)

A pesquisa tem por foco o mercado editorial voltado para a formação dos professores da educação básica, com ênfase para as revistas pedagógicas com periodicidade regular em circulação na região Sudeste do país. Objetivou-se reconhecer e caracterizar manifestações desse mercado a partir da análise da materialidade das revistas, buscando encontrar também representações sobre os professores e sua profissão. O trabalho foi realizado sob uma abordagem qualitativa, nos moldes da pesquisa documental. Em um primeiro momento, realizou-se a identificação de quais são as revistas pedagógicas disponíveis no mercado e a que tipo de profissional elas se destinam, partindo de levantamento de materiais presentes em bancas de jornal, livrarias, bibliotecas e também em sites especializados. O segundo momento caracteriza-se pela análise e comparação da materialidade das revistas. Trata-se de um Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso que teve apoio financeiro pelo Programa Institucional de Bolsas de Iniciação Científica da Pró-Reitoria (PROPE) de Pesquisa da UNESP (PIBIC/Reitoria). O ensino de língua inglesa nos primeiros anos do ensino fundamental: uma abordagem transdisciplinar

This study is a reflexive review of theories about the teaching of English to children in Elementary School, a suggestion to teach English through the Fairy Tales and Fables, associated with the study of Transversal Themes suggested by the plot in the selected stories. Based on the Communicative Approach to language were conducted a few classes with students of the 4th year of Elementary School in a private school of Bauru city. A bibliographic study was conducted in Applied Linguistics, Philosophy of Education, Psychoanalysis, Approaches to teaching Foreign Language and Theories related to foreign language acquisition

As contribuições do periódico Educação & Sociedade mediante reflexões da formação de professores

Este estudo teve por objetivos constituir o ciclo de vida da Revista Educação & Sociedade e apresentar uma discussão sobre a temática Formação de Professores no interior desse periódico. Optou-se metodologicamente pela pesquisa bibliográfica, embasada na leitura, análise e interpretação de artigos presentes no periódico Educação & Sociedade, assim como de outros autores que tiveram seus trabalhos voltados para a formação docente. O trabalho de investigação foi feito na Biblioteca do Instituto de Biociências da UNESP – Campus de Rio Claro. Neste processo identificaram-se 33 periódicos, sendo que dentre eles, escolheuse a Revista EDUCAÇÃO & SOCIEDADE, período de 1978 a 2005, por ser considerada uma revista quadrimestral (1995), reconhecida como um periódico de nível internacional, tendo um forte corpo editorial nacional e internacional, publicando textos em português, inglês, francês, alemão e espanhol relacionados a área de Ciência da Educação, divulgando trabalhos que incentivam a pesquisa acadêmica e o debate amplo sobre a educação nos diversos prismas de sua relação com a sociedade. Instrumentos e atividades realizadas para a coleta de um corpus de aprendizes em língua inglesa para integrar o Br-ICLE (The Brazilian Portuguese Sub-corpus of ICLE)

This paper presents and discusses initiatives taken in a public university in the state of São Paulo in order to collect and organize a corpus composed of argumentative texts to be part of Br-ICLE – a subcorpus of ICLE1 – which is composed of texts produced by Brazilian students enrolled in the courses of Arts and Languages and Translation. The discussion is based on a three-year project in which we could observe underuse and overuse features in the texts produced by Brazilian undergraduate students.

Condutas de risco em jovens mulheres: álcool e sexo não seguro, temas necessários na formação de professores

The youth has been calling attention due to the large number of social problems resulting from the risky behaviors. One of the behaviors that stand out is the use of alcohol because, besides being the first drug to be used by children and adolescents, this population begins to use increasingly early. Another behavior that is becoming concern in that particular group, also with early start, is the unprotected sex, causing problems as the unplanned pregnancy, abortions and sexually transmitted diseases. However, one factor is becoming relevant and requiring further study, the number of young women developing sexually transmitted diseases and becoming risk drinkers. In this direction, this study has as objective to discuss the high number of alcohol use among young women, the vulnerability that this use causes for the unprotected sex and the importance of these subjects teachers training. It should be noted, finally, the lack of training of teachers to work with the thematic ones, and mainly, the need to deconstruct gender stereotypes, an obstacle in preventing the use of alcohol, other drugs and sexually transmitted diseases.

A nova teoria da antropologia da civilização: tradução para a língua inglesa de neologismos terminológicos criados por Darcy Ribeiro nas obras o processo civilizatório e o povo brasileiro

This study analyzes the translation process into English of neologisms and expressions in the works written by the anthropologist Darcy Ribeiro and in their respective translations, made by Betty J. Meggers and Gregory Rabassa. Our research project draws on Corpus-Based Translation Studies (BAKER, 1995, 1996, 2000; CAMARGO, 2007), Corpus Linguistics (BERBER SARDINHA, 2004) and on some concepts of Terminology (ALVES, 1999; BARROS, 2004; BOULANGER, 1989; CABRÉ, 1993, 1999). Results show that terms do not present similarities within the language related to Brazilian Anthropology, being necessary for the author to look up alternative terminology and to create new concepts that can be used by other anthropologists. The translation of words and expressions developed by the author reflects lexical variation due to the options chosen by the respective translators for the target language. These tendencies may be found in Ribeiro’s translated texts, indicating the difficulty to conceptualize the anthropological Brazilian universe in English.

Formação de professores: uma breve reflexão sobre as razões da escolha profissional

This text, supported by the Social Representations Theory (SRT), reports some results of a research with students from the 1st/4th years of the College of Sciences and Technology from the State University of São Paulo (FCT-Unesp) on the teacher’s work/identity. We applied 278 questionnaires (free association questions on the teacher’s work and profile). Two groups with former students (five with teaching degrees and four with degrees in Education) were organized. We analyzed issues regarding the choice for the teaching profession (Geography - 3; Math - 04; Physical Education - 01 and Pedagogy – 10). Partial results: 1. There are differences between the social representations of students enrolled in Teaching and Education courses; 2. These people say the profession requires dedication and commitment; 3. They establish a strong relationship between career choice and the “taste” for the profession; 4. They believe that their role is greatly challenging: it involves helping prospective students and commitment to the school.
