An efficient design of serial and parallel memory using Quantum dot cellular automata

Quantum cellular automata (QCA) is a new technology in the nanometer scale and has been considered as one of the alternative to CMOS technology. In this paper, we describe the design and layout of a serial memory and parallel memory, showing the layout of individual memory cells. Assuming that we can fabricate cells which are separated by 10nm, memory capacities of over 1.6 Gbit/cm2 can be achieved. Simulations on the proposed memories were carried out using QCADesigner, a layout and simulation tool for QCA. During the design, we have tried to reduce the number of cells as well as to reduce the area which is found to be 86.16sq mm and 0.12 nm2 area with the QCA based memory cell. We have also achieved an increase in efficiency by 40%.These circuits are the building block of nano processors and provide us to understand the nano devices of the future.

3D thermo-electro-mechanical simulations of gas sensors based on SOI membranes

3D thermo-electro-mechanical device simulations are presented of a novel fully CMOS-compatible MOSFET gas sensor operating in a SOI membrane. A comprehensive stress analysis of a Si-SiO2-based multilayer membrane has been performed to ensure a high degree of mechanical reliability at a high operating temperature (e.g. up to 400°C). Moreover, optimisation of the layout dimensions of the SOI membrane, in particular the aspect ratio between the membrane length and membrane thickness, has been carried out to find the best trade-off between minimal device power consumption and acceptable mechanical stress.

Estudio de optimización para la implantación de procesos productivos con indicadores de sostenibilidad

[ES]Los constantes cambios tanto en la demanda como en la oferta y la competencia de mercado han incrementado el interés en la optimización de nuestros recursos. Son muchas las empresas que se ven sometidas a un continuo cambio tanto en el tipo de producto como en la cantidad a fabricar, para ello es necesario tener una distribución flexible y capaz de sobrevivir al paso del tiempo. El objetivo de este proyecto es obtener una lista de control mediante la que se pueda analizar la sostenibilidad de una implantación. La lista está formada por 23 indicadores mediante los cuales se logra simplificar y reflejar los aspectos más relevantes de una implantación, permitiendo la obtención de información sobre los puntos débiles y fuertes de la distribución. A través de la evaluación de los resultados, se pueden examinar distintas opciones para reducir los problemas y optimizar el proceso. Además, con el objeto de verificar la fiabilidad del planteamiento se incluye un ejemplo de aplicación sobre una implantación real y su respectivo análisis.

Study of the transmitter antenna gain for intersatellite laser communications

The gain of a transmitter for intersatellite communications is closely related to the performance of all the links. We calculate the transmitter telescope's gain with the help of the rigorous scalar diffraction theory and equivalent optical layout method. Furthermore, a comparison is performed with the conventional imaging method. The results show that the stop inside the telescope can affect the gain of the telescope. Finally, the gain is calculated under the condition of the aberrations. We find that different aberrations cause different effects. (C) 2006 Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers.

Dammann SHG-FROG for characterization of the ultrashort optical pulses

In this paper we propose a very simple layout of multi-shot second-harmonic-generation (SHG) frequency-resolved optical gating (FROG) using three reflective Dammann gratings ( Dammann SHG-FROG) for characterization of the ultrashort optical pulses. One reflective Dammann gratings is used as the beamsplitter and the other two compensate the angular dispersion. Both theoretical and experimental results show that the distortions of the optical pulses introduced by the reflective Dammann gratings are very small. This device should be highly interesting for characterizing the ultrashort pulse. (C) 2005 Optical Society of America.

一种高性能硅片曝光场分布优化算法

以提高光刻机应用性能为目的，提出了一种高性能硅片曝光场分布优化算法。由芯片尺寸计算得到最佳曝光场尺寸，使其最接近于光刻机提供的曝光场最大尺寸，提高了曝光系统的利用率；引入曝光场交错分布，减少了硅片边缘曝光场的交叠，提高了光刻产率；建立产率优先和良率优先两种优化方案，实现了产率和良率的共优。以实际芯片产品的参量为例，将本算法用于曝光过程，采用产率优先标准，曝光场数量减少了10％，而内场数量基本不变，提高了光刻的产率也确保了良率；采用良率优先标准，内场数量增长了10％，总的场数也有所减少，提高了光刻良率的可靠

Computational microscopy: turning megapixels into gigapixels

The layout of a typical optical microscope has remained effectively unchanged over the past century. Besides the widespread adoption of digital focal plane arrays, relatively few innovations have helped improve standard imaging with bright-field microscopes. This thesis presents a new microscope imaging method, termed Fourier ptychography, which uses an LED to provide variable sample illumination and post-processing algorithms to recover useful sample information. Examples include increasing the resolution of megapixel-scale images to one gigapixel, measuring quantitative phase, achieving oil-immersion quality resolution without an immersion medium, and recovering complex three dimensional sample structure.

Software como un Servicio: Solución Business Intelligence

El propóosito del proyecto aquíı descrito radica en, por una parte, sentar una base de un sistema de Business Inteligence adaptable a diversos casos de negocio, y por otra, diseñar e implementar una solución completa para una empresa especíıfica fácilmente adaptable a otro caso, incluyendo desde los procesos de Extracción, Transformación y Carga, pasando por el data warehouse hasta el Business Analysis y la Minería de Datos.

Control de almacén automatizado con dos ejes lineales.

[ES]El objetivo principal de este Trabajo Fin de Grado es automatizar un almacén con dos ejes lineales con la meta final de programar un panel de operador para que, ya sea un usuario u operario pueda introducir si desea depositar o recoger un palé, indicando la posición mediante un sistema de coordenadas las cuales dividen a las estanterías del almacén en filas y columnas. Para ello se cambiará parte del hardware de control, el cual incluye el antiguo módulo de posicionamiento (IP 246) que hasta ahora, controlaba el almacén. Esta tarjeta está limitada a un software ya desfasado, sin posibilidad de implementar un panel de operador con los requisitos demandados en la industria de hoy en día. También se ha utilizado una CPU S7-300, a diferencia de la SIMATIC S5 que se utilizaba con la antigua tarjeta.
