Relaciones de poder y memoria de un linaje. La intervención de la Casa de Moscoso en la Compostela de los siglos XIV-XVI

La ciudad ofrecía en la Baja Edad Media claras oportunidades para aquellos nobles que supieran situarse en el complejo juego de la política urbana y sus diversas instancias de poder. Para ello siempre se hace necesario contar con los apoyos sociales y físicos adecuados. La dinámica de enfrentamientos entre el Arzobispo de Santiago y el concello compostelano presenta un ejemplo inmejorable para valorar en su justa medida la inserción de la nobleza territorial en las relaciones de poder. Para abordar este caso se analizará la participación en la vida pública –también las revueltas urbanas– de la Casa de Moscoso tanto a través de su larga trayectoria de enfrentamientos con la Iglesia como mediante el estudio de su patrimonio urbano, incluyendo aquellos elementos relacionados con la creación de una memoria específica del linaje dentro de la ciudad.

Being impolite while pretending to be polite. The rupture of politeness conventions in electoral debates

This paper is a part of a larger research that pursues a global understanding of impoliteness in face-to-face electoral debates. That research distinguishes three essential axes, three complementary analytical perspectives: functional strategies of impoliteness, linguistic-discursive mechanisms to implement them and social impacts of impolite acts. In this frame, the present work develops an in-depth analysis of a special category of mechanisms, namely the rupture of politeness conventions, a subgroup within postliteral implicit mechanisms. This subgroup acquires its identity by the fact of carrying out a linguistic action that is conventionally associated with a polite attitude, but doing it in a rhetorically insincere way: the consequence is that apparent politeness becomes impoliteness. Relevant aspects in the characterization of ruptures are isolated and, on this basis, it is developed a detailed analysis of three specific kinds of mechanisms in which ruptures take shape: using ironic statements, developing different forms of overpoliteness and adopting a falsely collaborative attitude toward the interlocutor. The analysis of that group of mechanisms takes into account, simultaneously, the other two axes of the main research, strategies and social impacts.

Il lavoro svolto è stato incentrato sulla traduzione dell’opera Los gatos del papel (2005) dell’autore cubano Enrique Pérez Díaz, una breve raccolta di racconti per bambini con protagonisti i gatti. Il valore e il significato che ha avuto per me questa esperienza di traduzione de Los gatos del papel è incalcolabile e sono veramente felice di avere avuto l’opportunità di tradurlo, di vedere il testo mentre cambiava di lingua ma non di sostanza. La traduzione di un’opera letteraria è un’impresa impegnativa perché il traduttore, il mediatore che permette la comunicazione tra due lingue e culture diverse, deve veicolare il messaggio del testo originale, rendendolo comprensibile a un nuovo destinatario e, al contempo, cercare di rispettare le scelte stilistiche dell’autore

Comunicación para el cambio social: Propuesta y validación de un modelo para medir los efectos en la Reconstrucción de Tejido Social, aplicado a tres acciones comunicativas realizadas en la ciudad de Medellín entre los años 2008 -2011

Esta investigación hace una caracterización de algunas acciones comunicativas llevadas a cabo en Medellín entre los años 2008 y 2011 cuyo fin haya sido la Reconstrucción de Tejido Social. El rastreo de estas acciones se ha realizado desde el primer semestre del año 2013 con el fin de identificar y seleccionar las muestras representativas mínimo una por cada categoría, publicidad social, comunicación para el cambio y arte e intervención cultural. En el texto se encontrarán el marco situacional y conceptual, la metodología, los hallazgos y las conclusiones de la investigación. Se presenta primero el marco situacional donde se expone inicialmente el contexto colombiano en cuanto tejido social se refiere, la situación sociopolítica de Medellín entre los años 2008 y 2011, a partir del acercamiento a los conceptos de tejido social, nacional y local. Seguidamente se define el marco conceptual y se hace una reflexión para dar bases a la pregunta de investigación. En el marco metodológico se detalla el corpus, las categorías y subcategorías, e indicadores para cada una de las acciones, allí mismo se enuncian los instrumentos. Por último se presentarán los resultados y la interpretación basadas en los conceptos definidos., y con base en cada objetivo, se presentan las conclusiones generadas para cada uno de ellos.

Deposition of Intrinsic a-Si:H by ECR-CVD to Passivate the Crystalline Silicon Heterointerface in HIT Solar Cells

We have deposited intrinsic amorphous silicon (a-Si:H) using the electron cyclotron resonance (ECR) chemical vapor deposition technique in order to analyze the a-Si:H/c-Si heterointerface and assess the possible application in heterojunction with intrinsic thin layer (HIT) solar cells. Physical characterization of the deposited films shows that the hydrogen content is in the 15-30% range, depending on deposition temperature. The optical bandgap value is always comprised within the range 1.9- 2.2 eV. Minority carrier lifetime measurements performed on the heterostructures reach high values up to 1.3 ms, indicating a well-passivated a-Si:H/c-Si heterointerface for deposition temperatures as low as 100°C. In addition, we prove that the metal-oxide- semiconductor conductance method to obtain interface trap distribution can be applied to the a-Si:H/c-Si heterointerface, since the intrinsic a-Si:H layer behaves as an insulator at low or negative bias. Values for the minimum of D_it as low as 8 × 10^10 cm^2 · eV^-1 were obtained for our samples, pointing to good surface passivation properties of ECR-deposited a-Si:H for HIT solar cell applications.

Limitations of high pressure sputtering for amorphous silicon deposition

Amorphous silicon thin films were deposited using the high pressure sputtering (HPS) technique to study the influence of deposition parameters on film composition, presence of impurities, atomic bonding characteristics and optical properties. An optical emission spectroscopy (OES) system has been used to identify the different species present in the plasma in order to obtain appropriate conditions to deposit high purity films. Composition measurements in agreement with the OES information showed impurities which critically depend on the deposition rate and on the gas pressure. We prove that films deposited at the highest RF power and 3.4 × 10^−2 mbar, exhibit properties as good as the ones of the films deposited by other more standard techniques.

Room temperature photo-response of titanium supersaturated silicon at energies over the bandgap

Silicon samples were implanted with high Ti doses and subsequently processed with the pulsed-laser melting technique. The electronic transport properties in the 15–300 K range and the room temperature spectral photoresponse at energies over the bandgap were measured. Samples with Ti concentration below the insulator-metal (I-M) transition limit showed a progressive reduction of the carrier lifetime in the implanted layer as Ti dose is increased. However, when the Ti concentration exceeded this limit, an extraordinary recovery of the photoresponse was measured. This result supports the theory of intermediate band materials and is of utmost relevance for photovoltaic cells and Si-based detectors.

Effect of milling time on mechanical properties of fly ash incorporated cement mortars

Abstract. Currently, thermal energy generation through coal combustion produces ash particles which cause serious environmental problems and which are known as Fly Ash (FA). FA main components are oxides of silicon, aluminum, iron, calcium and magnesium in addition, toxic metals such as arsenic and cobalt. The use of fly ash as a cement replacement material increases long term strength and durability of concrete. In this work, samples were prepared by replacing cement by ground fly ash in 10, 20 and 30% by weight. The characterization of raw materials and microstructure was obtained by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The final results showed that the grinding process significantly improves the mechanical properties of all samples when compared replacing a mortar made with cement by ground fly ash and the reference samples without added fly ash. The beneficial effect of the ground fly ash can increase the use of this product in precast concrete industry
