Mitä on läsnäolo? Tämä työ määrittelee läsnäolon tietyn henkilön, laitteen tai palvelun halukkuudeksi kommunikoida. Nykyään on olemassa lukuisia läsnäolotietoa levittäviä sovelluksia, joista jokainen käyttää erilaista protokollaa tehtävän suorittamiseen. Vasta viime aikoina sovellusten kehittäjät ovat huomanneet tarpeen yhdelle sovellukselle, joka kykenee tukemaan lukuisia läsnäoloprotokollia. Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) voi levittää läsnäolotietoa muiden ominaisuuksiensa lisäksi. Kun muita protokollia käytetään vain reaaliaikaiseen viestintään ja läsnäolotiedon lähetykseen, SIP pystyy moniin muihinkin asioihin. Se on alunperin suunniteltu aloittamaan, muuttamaan ja lopettamaan osapuolien välisiä multimediaistuntoja. Arkkitehtuurin toteutus käyttää kahta Symbian –käyttöjärjestelmän perusominaisuutta: asiakas-palvelin rakennetta ja kontaktitietokantaa. Asiakaspalvelin rakenne erottaa asiakkaan protokollasta tarjoten perustan laajennettavalle usean protokollan arkkitehtuurille ja kontaktitietokanta toimii läsnäolotietojen varastona. Työn tuloksena on Symbianin käyttöjärjestelmässä toimiva läsnäoloasiakas.

Malgrat la important revifalla que en els darrers anys han experimentat els estudis històrics, entre els quals cal incloure els d"història de l"art, centrats en l"antic bisbat, l"antic terme i la ciutat mateixa de Tortosa, avui encara resulta relativament escàs el coneixement que tenim tant dels materials de la construcció com dels mestres que van construir en aquest territori durant les èpoques medieval i moderna.1 Aquest breu estudi, basat en un únic document,2 pretén ser, simplement, una petita aportació a la història de l"arquitectura setcentista tortosina, i pretén serho en els dos vessants esmentats abans: el dels materials de la construcció i el dels mestres.

Operational Reliability Analysis of a Three-Tiered Thin-Client ERP-system in an International Corporate Environment

Internationalization and the following rapid growth have created the need to concentrate the IT systems of many small-to-medium-sized production companies. Enterprise Resource Planning systems are a common solution for such companies. Deployment of these ERP systems consists of many steps, one of which is the implementation of the same shared system at all international subsidiaries. This is also one of the most important steps in the internationalization strategy of the company from the IT point of view. The mechanical process of creating the required connections for the off-shore sites is the easiest and most well-documented step along the way, but the actual value of the system, once operational, is perceived in its operational reliability. The operational reliability of an ERP system is a combination of many factors. These factors vary from hardware- and connectivity-related issues to administrative tasks and communication between decentralized administrative units and sites. To accurately analyze the operational reliability of such system, one must take into consideration the full functionality of the system. This includes not only the mechanical and systematic processes but also the users and their administration. All operational reliability in an international environment relies heavily on hardware and telecommunication adequacy so it is imperative to have resources dimensioned with regard to planned usage. Still with poorly maintained communication/administration schemes no amount of bandwidth or memory will be enough to maintain a productive level of reliability. This thesis work analyzes the implementation of a shared ERP system to an international subsidiary of a Finnish production company. The system is Microsoft Dynamics Ax, currently being introduced to a Slovakian facility, a subsidiary of Peikko Finland Oy. The primary task is to create a feasible base of analysis against which the operational reliability of the system can be evaluated precisely. With a solid analysis the aim is to give recommendations on how future implementations are to be managed.

Los procesos constructivos de la arquitectura clásica. De la proyección a la ejecución. El caso del Concilium Provinciae Hispaniae Citeriosi de Tarraco

Toda obra arquitectónica necesita de una proyección previa que implique la definición y justificación de sus formas y proporciones, proyección que, a menudo, viene modificada por la realidad ya existente o, en casos de periodos constructivos largos por cambios de opinión, de finalidad o, incluso de promotor. Es el caso del Concilium Provinciae Hispaniae Citerioris de Tarraco, un gran complejo monumental de más de 12 hectáreas de extensión, que necesitó un periodo de tiempo de construcción de entre 70 a 75 años. Los restos arqueológicos conservados permiten la identificación de dos proyectos arquitectónicos sobrepuestos que implican un profundo cambio de proyecto durante el proceso constructivo.

Under what conditions? Therapist and client characteristics moderate the role of change talk in brief motivational intervention.

OBJECTIVE: Client change talk has been proposed as a mechanism of change in motivational interviewing (MI) by mediating the link between therapist MI-consistent behaviors (MICO) and client behavioral outcomes. We tested under what circumstances this mechanism was supported in the context of a clinical trial of brief MI for heavy drinking among nontreatment seeking young men. METHOD: We conducted psycholinguistic coding of 174 sessions using the MI Skill Code 2.1 and derived the frequency of MICO and the strength of change talk (CTS) averaged over the session. CTS was examined as a mediator of the relationship between MICO and a drinking composite score measured at 3-month follow-up, controlling for the composite measure at baseline. Finally, we tested therapist gender and MI experience as well as client readiness to change and alcohol problem severity as moderators of this mediation model. RESULTS: CTS significantly predicted outcome (higher strength related to less drinking), but MICO did not predict CTS. However, CTS mediated the relationship between MICO and drinking outcomes when therapists had more experience in MI and when clients had more severe alcohol problems (i.e., significant conditional indirect effects). CONCLUSIONS: The mechanism hypothesized by MI theory was operative in our brief MI with heavy drinking young men, but only under particular conditions. Our results suggest that attention should be paid to therapist selection, training, and/or supervision until they reach a certain level of competence, and that MI might not be appropriate for nontreatment seeking clients drinking at a lower level of risk. The Catalan reception of the 1966 manifestos by Robert Venturi and Aldo Rossi marks the scenario of a breakup: while North America debates about the architectural shape as a linguistic structure, Italy dips its roots in the Modern Movement tradition as an origin for a new temporal and ideological architectural dimension. The first contacts between Rossi and Spain verify this search and allow the Italian to construct common itineraries with some architects from Barcelona. From these exchanges the 2C group will be born, taking part on typical vanguardist mechanisms: they will publish the magazine, 2C. The construction of the city (1972-1985), they will attend the XV Triennale di Milano in 1973 with the Torres Clavé Plan (1971) and the Aldo Rossi + 21 Spanish architects exhibition (1975) while he will organize the three issues of the Seminarios Internacionales de Arquitectura Contemporánea (S.I.AC.) which took place in Santiago, Sevilla and Barcelona between 1976 and 1980. In front of the unfolding of the firsts, the American contacts of Federico Correa, Oriol Bohigas, Lluís Domènech and the PER studio or the teaching work of Rafael Moneo from Barcelona since 1971, allow to draw replica itineraries with the foundation of the magazine Arquitecturas Bis (1974-1985), the organization of the meetings between international publications such as Lotus and Oppositions in Cadaqués (1975) and New York (1977), while stablishing exchanges with members of the Five Architects. Replicas that in 1976 conduct the initial ideological affirmations between Rossi and the 2C group towards irreconcilable distancing. Verifying the itinerary of the journey that the Italian leads from the Italian resistance towards the American backing down is part of the aim of this article

Desenvolupament d'una aplicació mòbil en Android per a una botiga de menjar preparat

El tema del projecte va sorgir arran de la problemàtica que els va sorgir a uns amics que van muntar un negoci de menjars preparats. Per augmentar la clientela i donar un valor afegit i diferenciat al seu negoci, va sorgir la idea de muntar un app perquè els clients poguessin consultar els plats disponibles i fer una comanda d’allò què volien aquell dia, i un cop estigués llesta la comanda, els arribés una notificació al mòbil. D'aquesta manera no els caldria estar esperant a la botiga fins que la seva comanda estigués preparada. La idea seria millorar l’eficiència en l’atenció al client i la preparació de comandes.

The permanence of the client under uncertain estimations

Marketing has studied the permanence of a client within an enterprise because it is a key element in the study of the value (economic) of the client (CLV). The research that they have developed is based in deterministic or random models, which allowed estimating the permanence of the client, and the CLV. However, when it is not possible to apply these schemes for not having the panel data that this model requires, the period of time of a client with the enterprise is uncertain data. We consider that the value of the current work is to have an alternative way to estimate the period of time with subjective information proper of the theory of uncertainty.

Cost Optimisation of Mobile Advertising Client Data Transfer

Data traffic caused by mobile advertising client software when it is communicating with the network server can be a pain point for many application developers who are considering advertising-funded application distribution, since the cost of the data transfer might scare their users away from using the applications. For the thesis project, a simulation environment was built to mimic the real client-server solution for measuring the data transfer over varying types of connections with different usage scenarios. For optimising data transfer, a few general-purpose compressors and XML-specific compressors were tried for compressing the XML data, and a few protocol optimisations were implemented. For optimising the cost, cache usage was improved and pre-loading was enhanced to use free connections to load the data. The data traffic structure and the various optimisations were analysed, and it was found that the cache usage and pre-loading should be enhanced and that the protocol should be changed, with report aggregation and compression using WBXML or gzip.
