The study aims to analyze the content and measures of accuracy of the nursing diagnosis Ineffective Self Health in patients undergoing hemodialysis. Study of nursing diagnosis validation carried out in two stages, namely: content analysis by judges and accuracy of clinical indicators. In the first stage, 22 judges evaluated the setting and location of the diagnosis, clinical indicators and etiological factors and their conceptual and empirical definitions. We used the binomial test to determine the proportion of the judges of the relevance of the components of the nursing diagnosis. In the second stage, we used the Latent Class Analysis for the diagnostic accuracy by evaluating 200 patients in a hemodialysis clinic in northeastern Brazil. Research approved by the Ethics Committee, under the Opinion No 387 837 and CAAE 18486413.0.0000.5537. The results show that the judges evaluated as pertinent clinical indicators 12 and 22 etiological factors. Proposed amendment of the nomenclature of five indicators and six factors and the implementation of a clinical indicator for etiology and three etiological factors for clinical indicators. In conceptual and empirical definitions, judges judged as not relevant the conceptual and empirical definitions of a clinical indicator, the conceptual definitions of two etiological factors and empirical definitions four etiological factors. Still, changes were suggested in the conceptual and empirical definitions of two clinical indicators, the conceptual definitions of 12 etiological factors and empirical definitions of 11 etiological factors. Clinical indicators analyzed in the first stage were validated clinically in patients undergoing hemodialysis. The most frequent clinical indicators were Changes in laboratory tests (100%) and daily life choices ineffective to achieve health goals (81%); and three etiological factors had a higher frequency, they are: unfavorable demographic factors (94.5%), beliefs (79%) and comorbidities (77.5%). From Latent class analysis, diagnosis prevalence was estimated at 66.28%. Clinical indicators that showed the best sensitivity measures for the nursing diagnosis Ineffective Self Health were: daily life choices ineffective to achieve health goals and Expression of difficulty with prescribed regimens. In turn, the clinical indicators of inappropriate medication use, no expression of desire to control the disease, irregular attendance to the dialysis sessions and infection were more specific as to that diagnosis. Non-adherence to treatment was the only indicator that showed confidence intervals with values for sensitivity and specificity, statistically above 0.5, being the one who has better diagnostic accuracy as the inference of the nursing diagnosis Ineffective Self Health in hemodialysis clientele. Thus, it is believed that the improvement of the components of diagnosis in question will contribute to the development of more reliable nursing interventions to the health status of the individual in hemodialysis, providing a more scientifically qualified care.

El autismo es un trastorno caracterizado por un funcionamiento cognitivo anormal principalmente en la comunicación y la interacción social. Aunque aun se sabe muy poco sobre la patología de los procesos subyacentes a este déficit, en distintos estudios se ha observado que el déficit social que presentan estos sujetos suele ir acompañado de dificultades en el procesamiento de rostros. Diferentes autores sugieren que la amígdala junto a otras estructuras cerebrales responsables del procesamiento facial y emocional estarían funcionando inadecuadamente en esta población y que existiría una estrecha relación entre los déficits en el comportamiento social y comunicacional y el procesamiento facial. Por este motivo, en el presente trabajo se pretende realizar una revisión de las manifestaciones clínicas que presentan distintos sujetos con diagnostico de autismo evaluados en diversos estudios científicos. Además, revisaremos los modelos teóricos que pretenden explicar el déficit del procesamiento facial y su relación con el inadecuado funcionamiento social y comunicacional de las personas autistas.

¿Como jefe en algunas ocasiones ha tenido la sensación de que con la gente no se puede...? ¿Ha sentido que a veces tiene éxito con la dirección de las personas y que a veces, por más que lo intente, termina con una sensación de fracaso y desaliento? Vamos a presentar a continuación una manera de entender por qué no siempre somos efectivos como jefes. Empecemos por señalar que toda persona que llega a un cargo de jefatura en una organización quiere ser efectiva en la dirección de las personas a su cargo. Podríamos decir que precisamente esa es su función: lograr que las personas dirigidas por ella sean exitosas en el cumplimiento de las funciones para las cuales fueron contratadas. En otras palabras, el jefe se debe responsabilizar de crear las condiciones para que sus colaboradores logren un desempeño efectivo.

Aiming to analyze the monitoring of the atmospheric discharges incidence, the concession area of Companhia Forca e Luz do Oeste (CFLO) - Western Power and Light Company, located in the district of Guarapuava, state of Parana was chosen for a study developed in 2003, from January to December. After the air masses dynamics description, it was possible to identify the occurrence of atmospheric discharges and to compare them to the energy interruptions. To that end, atmospheric discharges density maps were created within the CFLO concession area for a later analysis of their influence in the electric energy supply. The monitoring of the atmospheric discharges and the comparison between this phenomenon and the occurrence of interruptions in the electric energy supply enabled this study. Results showed that such events are directly related, and that the rural area of the region under study underwent a major interference.

La presente investigación, que lleva por título El Despido Ineficaz en la Legislación Ecuatoriana, busca, analizar la nueva normativa que regula lo correspondiente a los despidos generados a ciertos grupos considerados vulnerables, que día a día luchan para que sus derechos sean respetados y reconocidos, ya con la Constitución de la Republica se ha generado muchos logros en cuanto a los derechos exigidos por los trabajadores, sin embargo, no ha cesado la arbitrariedad por parte de los empleadores, que sin justa causa, de un día para otro los empleados son despedidos de sus puestos de trabajo. Con las reformas al Código de Trabajo, plasmadas en la Ley Orgánica para la Justicia Laboral y Reconocimiento del Trabajo en el Hogar, los dirigentes sindicales, trabajadoras embarazadas y en estado de maternidad, se ven beneficiados, y respaldados jurídicamente, con una especial protección, frente a los despidos, de los cuales han sido víctimas, mismos que se los ha hecho, sin tener motivo alguno. Es por ello, que al desarrollar este interesante tema, que ha sido de gran aporte para el ámbito social, específicamente para el ámbito laboral, es mi labor como estudiante egresada de la Facultad de Derecho, analizar, la normativa con la finalidad de aportar un mejor conocimiento sobre la misma, y porque no decirlo, hacer hincapié, en la amplia protección y reconocimiento de derechos fundamentales que como trabajadores se les garantiza.

La publicación de una nueva ley, trae consigo la derogatoria total o parcial de otra ley y con ello, la imperiosa necesidad de conocer aquella reforma que cambia la realidad jurídica respecto de la materia que rige. Tal es el caso de la Ley Orgánica de Justicia Laboral y Reconocimiento del Trabajo en el Hogar, publicada en abril de 2015, que modificó el Código de Trabajo y la Ley de Seguridad Social, siendo uno de los temas más relevantes de esta reforma, el despido ineficaz. El tema de estabilidad laboral absoluta en Ecuador, era únicamente una ilusión para los trabajadores, y a palabras de un gran catedrático de la Facultad de Jurisprudencia de la Universidad de Cuenca, Doctor Jorge Morales, la estabilidad absoluta era “simples mariposas amarillas”; sin embargo, desde abril del 2015, la estabilidad absoluta pasó de la teoría a la praxis, aunque únicamente para un grupo mínimo de trabajadores, representantes sindicales y mujeres embarazadas o asociadas a su condición de maternidad;debido que, por su condición de vulnerabilidad en el marco laboral, la Reforma transformala estabilidad relativa manifestada en el despido intempestivo de estos trabajadores en ineficaz. “La ley, una vez publicada se presume conocida por todos y no podrá alegarse ignorancia por ninguna persona”, todos los ciudadanos dentro de la circunscripción para la cual rige la nueva norma, tenemos la obligación de informarnos sobre tal, siendo este, el motivo y objetivo principal de la presente investigación, otorgar a la ciudadanía un análisis profundo de la reforma laboral precisamente sobre las disposiciones que regulan la aplicación, alcance, causas y efectos del despido ineficaz.
