O uso social da leitura e as práticas pedagógicas em sala de aula: construção de conhecimentos e formação de leitores

This research aimed at studying the social role of reading, its importance in building knowledge and training of readers, as well as reflect on the teaching of reading in schools, with children in the literacy process. For their achievement, were used as theoretical support authors who are dedicated to the study of language, thematic reading, and phenomena that occur through it in the school environment, especially those of Bakhtin, Kleiman, Chartier, Foucambert, among others . The research was carried out using the approach of qualitative research, using participatory action research, through which the researcher could have direct contact with the observed phenomena, to participate and collect the participants' actions in its natural context, the from their perspective and their views. As for collecting and analyzing data, we used the tools of questionnaire, interview and participant observation. Its subjects a literacy class and their respective teacher, in 2009. By analyzing this information, one can draw a picture of reading in the school environment and teaching practices that surround this object. The results of the literature survey and data analysis suggest that reading is a social practice, and as such has indispensable social function in society today. And the school, one of the greatest instruments of contact with the world of letters, therefore, of reading for children means not literate, have key role in developing and training of readers who are aware of the importance of reading and perpetuate this practice in their daily lives. Educação ambiental e valores em um programa de formação docente: sentidos construídos a partir das práticas pedagógicas

Diante do processo de degradação do meio ambiente e da crise social que permeia a relação sociedade-natureza fragmentada, hierarquizada, consideramos a Educação Ambiental (EA) como potente instrumento de contraposição e intervenção aos atuais paradigmas de nossa sociedade. Frente a este contexto acreditamos que o processo educativo deve trazer articulado para as práticas educativas as dimensões dos conhecimentos relacionados à sociedade e natureza, aos valores éticos, estéticos e participação política. Reconhecendo a ligação entre essas três dimensões, focalizaremos para esse estudo, entretanto, a dimensão valorativa, necessária ao se propor a construção e reconstrução de novos valores desejáveis no âmbito socioambiental. Dessa forma, percorremos em nossa investigação espaços compartilhados por dezesseis professores das séries finais do ensino fundamental da rede pública do estado de São Paulo, que se envolveram em um programa de formação docente junto ao projeto de extensão Educação Ambiental e o Trabalho com Valores realizado em 2010. Nesse caminho, procuramos investigar a partir dos diálogos empreendidos entre esses professores, o processo da construção da prática docente junto à dimensão valorativa da temática ambiental. Buscamos apontar as possibilidades e os possíveis desafios que se estabeleceram no momento da elaboração do plano de ensino que deveria ser posteriormente desenvolvido na rede básica do estado de São Paulo. Os possíveis espaços de contestação que implicaram na contraposição do modelo dominante e que puderam se fortalecer mediante essa experiência formativa durante o projeto de extensão, bem como as possibilidades e limites oferecidos pela escola para sua realização foram alvo de nossa pesquisa. Práticas Educativas Comparadas em Educação do Campo e os Desafios da Formação Omnilateral na América Latina

This text aims to present the challenges and opportunities of omnilateral formation in Latin America as elaborated in Villela (2009-2010). This work has the horizon systematize the educational practices of the "Third World ", i.e. originating from the educational experience of Latin America, Africa and Asia. In the struggle for emancipation, these countries have built and are building unique educational practices. In this sense, we start questioning the historical and theoretical topic, omnilateral formation, and deployment, we discuss the Latin American school and omnilateral formation. We question specifically issues relating to “intellectuals and the organization of culture” in "schools in the countryside" in Cuba (1960- 1975). The issue of "intellectuals and the organization of culture", in a gramscian perspective (GRAMSCI, 2000), was addressed in several works throughout our academic career (VILLELA, 2003; 2008; 2009-2010). In order to further these issues, we address the challenges of formation for children and youth of the field in Latin America. By analyzing the educational practices in the schools in the countryside, emerges the theme of contemporary global justice.

The aim of the present study was to point out the importance of the experience of undergraduate dental students in extra-curricular activities and volunteer work, as a means through which to gain essential knowledge and abilities for their professional lives. A literature review of the Medline, Scielo, and Lilacs databases was carried out in an attempt to select articles related to the university extension and volunteer work of undergraduate dental students. It is still extremely difficult to include university extension and volunteer work as an important activity in Dentistry courses. However, the presentday work market demands professionals who have expertise not only in dental techniques, but also in the socio-cultural characteristics of communities, considering that people need to be comprehensive in their psychosocial aspects in order to be treated as a complete professional. Therefore, university dentistry courses should give equal consideration to both oral rehabilitation skills and the promotion of general healthcare, acquired mainly through extracurricular activities, in an attempt to redeem the integral education of the healthcare professional. Moreover, students should pay closer attention to the opportunities offered during their undergraduate courses, as the work market for dentists is becoming more and more competitive. Moreover, the dentist whose professional life is limited to the dental office will most certainly forgo the opportunity to act in other social areas as well as the recognition that comes with such acts.

Formação docente e práticas de leitura: experiências iniciais e na atuação profissional

The objective of this work is to present an analysis of the results of a study about the reading practices of a group of teachers from the public school, discussing how these practices constitute themselves since the initial formation until the teaching period. The selected teachers had their formation between the end of the 60’s and the beginning of the 80’s, remaining as teachers of the public school for the next twenty years. Using as methodology the narrative research, we are going to discuss how the reading appears in the lives of these professionals, what their representations about it are and how the reading permeates their lives and their actuations in the school, passing through the first contacts with the books until the collision between theory and practice, observed in the speech of the teachers who were interviewed, always taking into account the teaching formation.

Perfil e avaliação dos participantes de um curso de formação continuada em práticas educacionais inclusivas na modalidade a distância

This article analyses aspects related to a continuing education course about Inclusive and Special Education in the area of Mental Disabilities offered to 20 (twenty) groups of teachers by the Ministry of Education. The Distance Course was offered in different regions of Brazil with a 180 (a hundred and eighty) hours workload. The research included the profi le of the participants, an evaluation of the course by the participants and the analysis of the dropout causes. The aspects of the course under evaluation received a positive evaluation by most of the participants. The most frequent reason for the dropout rates include participants’ limitations in terms of meeting deadlines, personal reasons and diffi culties in using computers. It was concluded that Distance Education seems to be a relevant tool for the acquisition of knowledge about inclusive practice.

Prática como componente Curricular e estágio supervisionado na formação de professores de Educação Física

This study aims to investigate the main issues presented in the literature relating to teacher training during the period 2005/2014. Particular attention is paid to articles that address the Supervised Training and Practice as a Curriculum Component. For the analysis of the articles from the literature, the technique of Content Analysis was used. The results showed that the potential which is attributed to these curricular components depends on the ability to put the trainee teacher in touch with the experience of being a teacher, whilst enabling the approach of the training content to be consistent with professional practice. The technical and fragmented curriculum for training and the extensive content in the disciplines, limited by outmoded practices, is presented as a barrier against this occurring. This shows a discrepancy in the proposed training between the pedagogical design of the course and, what is actually designed as concrete action in its development.

Construir o edifício documentário: concepções de Paul Otlet para uma ciência e uma técnica dos documentos

O artigo apresenta as técnicas e propostas teórico-práticas desenvolvidas por Paul Otlet, para o tratamento de documentos, com propósito de recuperação e disseminação. Analisam-se o método documentário, responsável pela extração e disponibilização da informação documentada, e o conceito do repertório, elaborado para dispor e expor essa informação de maneira sintetizada, atualizada e acessível na Enciclopédia Documentária. Ressalta-se a importância das ideias subjacentes à proposta de Otlet, identificando-as particularmente nas figuras e metáforas adotadas por ele e na visão de mundo internacionalista, que sustentara a formação de suas ideias.
