El propósito del presente trabajo de grado es hacer un análisis del estado de la motorización en Bogotá -en cuanto a motocicletas se refiere- a partir del reto que éstas han significado para la priorización del uso del transporte público. El trabajo de grado hace un recorrido por las características de los modos de transporte –tanto el transporte público como las motocicletas-, ahondando en sus problemáticas. Lo anterior se hace con el fin de intentar descubrir una razón por la cual año a año crece el número de motocicletas que circulan por Bogotá. Para lograr una aproximación a lo que busca el trabajo de grado, se logró hacer un acercamiento a un número de propietarios de motocicletas. De ellos, se pudieron establecer las principales razones por las cuales se ha popularizado el uso de la motocicleta.

Actualmente en Colombia existen mercados con un grado alto de competencia, los cuales se hacen más notorios en el sector textil debido a los antecedentes históricos, ya que este país es considerado uno de los grandes productores de prendas de vestir a nivel latinoamericano generando la necesidad de explorar nuevos mercados, abarcando los diferentes retos para poder cubrirlo de forma exitosa. Es por esto, que esta investigación contiene una serie de análisis de carácter cualitativo y cuantitativo que tienen como propósito facilitar la toma de decisiones a empresarios que deseen explorar nuevos mercados internacionales usan como referente los análisis logísticos, económicos, sociales y de mercado. De esta manera podrán obtener ideas de cómo debería ser un proceso de internacionalización teniendo en cuenta los costos de exportación y tratados de libre comercio, sin dejar a un lado el conocimiento de cuál es el mercado objetivo y sus necesidades.

En la búsqueda de preservar el medio ambiente y estandarizar la disposición final de los residuos generados, Sustain Cycle nace como un gestor de residuos de aceite vegetal usado, reforzando la carente oferta del mercado. Fortaleciendo el compromiso de los generadores de este residuo además de una reducción de costos, la creación de Sustain Cycle se desarrolla bajo la figura jurídica de Fundación, deduciendo en los contribuyentes del impuesto el valor de las donaciones efectuadas. El aporte ambiental se basa en minimizar el riesgo de una mala disposición en la red de alcantarillado y su componente social se enfoca en evitar la reutilización ilegal y perjudicial para el consumidor. Sustain Cycle se centra en la recolección, acopio, filtrado y comercialización del AVU generado por todos los establecimientos comerciales que produzcan alimentos como papas a la francesa, empanadas, buñuelos, churros, plátanos y demás productos que requieran del aceite para su cocción.

Los indígenas como sujeto jurídico para el reconocimiento de derechos étnicos han sido definidos desde el paradigma del multiculturalismo liberal, basado en características esencialistas de la identidad, como el vínculo con el territorio ancestral rural, el uso de la lengua nativa, y la organización colectiva y comunitaria. Sin embargo, el conflicto armado colombiano ha generado el desplazamiento forzado de gran parte de esta población i1, en su mayoría hacia áreas urbanas y metropolitanas, donde son inaplicables las características que eran tenidas en cuenta para el reconocimiento y la garantía de sus derechos. La ausencia de un sujeto jurídico étnico que responda a las condiciones de un indígena desterritorializado víctima de desplazamiento forzado a causa del conflicto armado que solicita atención individual, se convierte en un obstáculo para la garantía de sus derechos étnicos en la implementación de la política pública de atención, asistencia y reparación a víctimas del conflicto armado, porque las medidas afirmativas y el enfoque diferencial étnico, obligación del ejecutivo, queda a la discrecionalidad de las decisiones administrativas, poniendo en riesgo la garantía del derecho a la identidad cultural y, por lo tanto, a la diversidad étnica y cultural de la nación.

Un cuento de Alaska. Relata las aventuras de un perro ovejero que va a vivir con sus dueños, maestros de escuela, a una remota aldea esquimal y cómo él y los habitantes se acostumbran a convivir. Los niños juegan con el perro y un día éste se pierde en las montañas. Todo el mundo en el pueblo lo busca hasta que un vecino de otro pueblo lo lleva a la aldea montando en una moto de nieve.

Este trabalho detalha a estruturação de um sistema de confirmação metrológica segundo critérios estabelecidos nas normas ISO da série 9000 / 1994. Após a introdução ao trabalho, é apresentada a revisão bibliográfica efetuada, onde se buscou esclarecer os conceitos fundamentais sobre metrologia e os critérios definidos nas normas ISO da série 9000.Na seqüência apresenta-se o estudo de caso efetuado na empresa Andreas Stihl Moto-Serras Ltda sobre a implementação do sistema de confirmação metrológica, a metodologia adotada, as dificuldades e ganhos obtidos. Uma proposta de estruturação destes sistemas também é descrita a partir a avaliação dos dados apresentados na revisão bibliográfica e da experiência obtida durante a implantação do sistema de confirmação metrológica na Andreas stihl Moto-Serras Ltda. Para finalizar, encerra-se o trabalho com as conclusões obtidas.

Neste trabalho, apresenta-se um modelo de controle de trajetória para um manipulador constituído de um braço rígido e um braco flexível com atuadores e sensores piezelétricos. O modelo dinamico do manipuladoré obtido de forma fechada através da formulacao de Lagrange. O controle utiliza o torque dos motores como atuadores para controle da trajetoria do angulo das juntas e tambem para atenuar as vibracoes de baixa frequencia induzidas nos bracos do manipulador. A estabilidade deste controlador e garantida pela teoria de estabilidade de Lyapunov. Atuadores e sensores piezeletricos sao adicionados para controlar as vibracoes de alta freqüência nâo alcançadas pelo controle de torque dos motores. Além disso,é proposta uma otimização simultânea do controle e dos atuadores e sensores através da maximização da energia dissipada no sistema, devido µa ação do controle, com otimização do posicionamento e tamanho dos atuadores e sensores piezelétricos na estrutura. Simulações são obtidas através do Matlab/Simulink paraverificar a eficiência do modelo de controle.

Descriptive exploratory study, prospective, with quantitative approach, performed on the Monsenhor Walfredo Gurgel Hospital Complex (MWGHC), in Natal/RN, aiming to identify injuries by body area and wound severity on drivers who suffered motorcycle accidents, evaluate the severity of injuries and trauma on these drivers and identify the existence of association between wound and trauma severity and some of the accident s characteristics. The population comprised 371 motorcycle drivers, with data collected between October and December 2007. We used as instruments the Abberviated Injury Scale (AIS), Injury Severity Score (ISS) and the Glasgow Coma Scale (GCE1). The results show that, concerning characterization, there was a predominance of the male gender (88.4%), aged between 18 and 24 years (39.90%), originating from the Natal metropolitan region (55.79%), with fundamental-level instruction (51.48%), catholic (75.78%), married (47.98%). 23.18% work on commerce-related activities and 75.20% have income of up to 2 minimum wages. As for the accident s characteristics, the predominant shift was the afternoon (46.36%), received up to one hour after the event (50.67%), transported by countryside ambulances colleagues and relatives (51.21%), 25.34% had the accident on Sunday; 53.91% suffered falls and vehicle rolls; among the collisions there was a predominance of the motorcycle-automoblie type (28.03%); 52,6% were licensed and among these 50.76% had up to one year of license; 65.50% declared not having suffered previous accidents; 65.77% declared waring helmets in the time of the accident; 57.41% said not to have used drugs, and among those who used, alcohol was the most consumed (98.10%). The lowest score evaluated by GCS1 (3 to 8) was linked to drivers who suffered accidents on Saturday (10.3%), those who were not wearing helmets (14.29%) and the victims of motorcycle-pedestrian/animal crashes (13.33%). The body areas most affected had AIS between 1 and 3 (95.76%) and were: external surface (39.90%) and head/neck (33.20%). As for trauma severity, the highest scores (ISS>25) belonged to those who consumed alcohol (30.73%), suffered falls or vehicle rolls (48.9%) and those attended to 3 hours or longer after the accident (50%). We conclude that for motorcycle drivers who suffered accidents, age, gender, weekday, type of accident, use of drugs and the absence of helmet use signal both to the risk of occurrence of these events, as well as for the greater severity of injuries and trauma.

Descriptive exploratory study, with quantitative approach and prospective data performed on the Monsenhor Walfredo Gurgel Hospital Complex (MWGH), in Natal/RN, aiming to classify the type of motor vehicle involved in the accident, the public roadway s user quality and the more frequent injuries; to evaluate the severity of trauma in traffic accident victims; characterized the severity of the injuries and the trauma, and the type of motor vehicle involved. The population comprises 605 traffic accident victims, with data collected between October and December 2007. We used as a support for the evaluation of severity of injuries and trauma the Glasgow Coma Scale (GCSl), the Condensed Abbreviated Injury Scale (CAIS) and the Injury Severity Score (ISS). The results show that 82.8% of the victims were male; 78.4% were aged 18 to 38; the victims originating from the State s Countryside prevailed (43.1%); 24.3% of the population had completed middle-level instruction; 23.1% worked on commerce and auxiliary activities; most (79.4%) was catholic; 48.8% were married/consensual union; 76.2% earned up to two monthly minimum wages; Sunday was the day with the most accidents (25.1%); 47.4% were attended to in under an hour after the event; the motorcycle on its own was responsible for 53.2% of the accidents; 42.3% were attended to by the SAMU; 61.8% were victims of crashes; over half (53.4%) used individual protection equipment (IPE); 49.4% were helmets and 4.0% the seatbelt; 61.3% were motorcycle drivers; 43.3% of the accidents took place in the afternoon shift; from 395 drivers, 55.2% were licensed, and 50.7% among those had been licensed for 1 to 5 years; 90.7% of the victims had GCS1 between 13 and 15 points at the time of evaluation; the body area most affected was the external surface (35.9%); 38.8% of the injuries were light or moderate (AIS=1 and AIS=2); 83.2% had light trauma (ISS between 1 and 15 points). In face of the results, we can conclude that there is a risk for the elevation of injury severity and trauma resulting from traffic accidents, when these events are related to certain variables such as gender, age, weekday, the interval between the accident and the first care, ingestion of drugs, type of accident, the public roadway s user quality, the use of IPE, day shift, body regions and the type of motor vehicle involved in the accident

O babaçu é uma planta de importância capital na economia de subsistência do norte do Brasil. Sua configuração sócio-ambiental o torna destaque na situação regional amazônica, onde os produtos advindos do babaçu possibilitam renda para a camada mais pobre da população amazônica, além da questão ambiental que é conotada à preservação dos babaçuais naturais. Um dos gargalos técnicos da produção do babaçu, em especial visando a extração do óleo de babaçu, é a colheita feita de forma manual e no sistema extrativista. O objetivo deste trabalho é propor o conceito de uma colhedora de babaçu moto-mecanizada, capaz de trabalhar em cultivos artificiais, assim como em florestas naturais. Foi utilizada a metodologia de projeto da matriz morfológica, onde foram elencadas as possíveis combinações de mecanismos e elementos para uma colhedora de babaçu. Como resultado foi obtido um conceito teórico, sendo concluída a viabilidade técnica de tal projeto, em estudos futuros pretende-se desenvolver estudos de viabilidade técnica detalhados, assim como estudos de viabilidade econômica.

After the Protocol of Kyoto and of the ECHO 92 - Rio de Janeiro, the attentions of the world focus to the preservation of the environment and of the maintainable use of the natural resources. People were looking for preserving environment for the future generations. Ever since, solutions are looked for the supply of energy in its more acquaintances forms and the substitution of the use of fossil fuels for the such alternative forms as: Photovoltaics, solar heat systems for water, wind , bio-diesel, etc. and in this context the Company of Engineering of the State of Bahia - Cerb changed a diesel pumping system by an wind one, It´s the first community system of this nature in Bahia. Facing problems with the model, a Cerb involved the academic segment of the Federal Center of Technological Education of Bahia Cefetba looking for a solution. This work intends to demonstrate the possibilities of optimization of the pumping communit system that supply water to approximately 50 people in the place of Romão, municipal district of São Gabriel-Ba. Technical reports were published in AGRENERGD2004-Unicamp SP and Scientific Magazine ETC,Cefetba, 2005. A simulation of the increase of energy is presented for heights of 15 and 20m, considering the eletromecanical balance from the pumping energy to the wind turbine. From the accomplished bibliographical revision, we emphasized the mechanical aspects of the engineering once in UFRN, those studies concentrate on the Department of Mechanical Engineering while, in others eletroelectronic are more emphasized. Finally, documents that we judged important were enclosed for the perfect understanding of this work

Stroke is the leading cause of combined motor and cognitive disability worldwide. The rehabilitation of stroke patients is mostly directed towards motor recovery through the training of the affected member under supervision of a Physical Therapist. In the present study we introduce a new approach for both cognitive and motor therapy, which relies on motor imagery of the upper limbs and working memory training. This therapy should be utilized as an adjuvant to physical therapy. Ten individuals (5 men and 5 women) were selected for the pilot study, all of them in the acute phase of the first ischemic stroke episode. The control group had 5 individuals who were submitted to physical therapy only, whilst the other 5 patients in the experimental group also performed the cognitive and motor training with a video game specially built for this study. Two patients left the experimental group before the end. Total training lasted for 9 weeks, 2 times a week, for half an hour. Patients reported they enjoyed playing the game, even though it required a lot of mental effort, according to them. Plus, they considered it had a beneficial influence in their activities of daily living. No side effects were reported. Preliminary results suggest there is a difference between groups in cognitive and upper limb motor evaluation following the intervention. It is important to notice that our conclusions are limited due the small sample number. Overall, this work is supported by other studies in literature focused in rehabilitation with motor imagery and working memory and indicate a continuity of the research, increasing total training hours
