O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar o efeito da cobertura plástica sobre o mosto e a qualidade do vinho da cultivar Moscato Giallo.

In this article, we present a short historical summary of the following terms: the aspect and the imperfective /perfective opposition to answer the question if the imperfective /perfective opposition has an aspectual or temporal character. We distinguish two types of the aforementioned opposition: the temporal imperfective /perfective opposition expressed by the Spanish tenses Pretérito Indefinido / Pretérito Imperfecto that is characterized by the property of [± temporal delimitation]; and the aspectual imperfective /perfective opposition recognizable in the aspectual system of the Slavonic languages that is characterized by the property of [± conclusion of the process].

El hombre metrosexual como Narciso contemporáneo: el papel del discurso publicitario actual en la construcción de la masculinidad

Existen diferentes definiciones del concepto de masculinidad. Por un lado están las normativas, que la entienden como lo que los hombres deberían ser y, por otro, los enfoques semióticos, que la definen como no-feminidad. Partiendo de este último enfoque y teniendo en cuenta que la feminidad ha evolucionado en los últimos años junto con la sociedad desdibujando la frontera entre lo que forma parte del rol femenino y lo que no, se puede afirmar que han surgido a partir de los renovados modelos de feminidad, diferentes y nuevas masculinidades entre las que se encuentra la del hombre metrosexual. Es en este tipo de masculinidad en concreto en la que se centra la presente investigación y en cómo se construye la narración de dicha masculinidad en el discurso publicitario actual recurriendo a la figura mítica de Narciso. Así, a partir de una revisión bibliográfica y de un análisis de contenido, se pretende analizar la influencia de la publicidad en la aparición del hombre metrosexual como nueva masculinidad en respuesta a la transformación de la feminidad, a la par que confirmar la presencia de la figura de Narciso como recurso en la construcción de la masculinidad en la publicidad actual.

Effect of interleukin-6 polymorphisms on human longevity:a systematic review and meta-analysis

Several studies have assessed changes in frequency of -174 interleukin (IL)-6 single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) with age. If IL-6 tracks with disability and age-related diseases, then there should be reduction, in the oldest old, of the frequency of homozygous GG subjects, who produce higher IL-6 levels. However, discordant results have been obtained. To explore the relationship between this polymorphism and longevity, we analyzed individual data on long-living subjects and controls from eight case-control studies conducted in Europeans, using meta-analysis. There was no significant difference in the IL-6 genotype between the oldest old and controls (Odds Ratio [OR]=0.96; 95% C.I.: 0.77-1.20; p=0.71), but there was significant between-study heterogeneity (I2=55.5%). In a subgroup analyses when male centenarians from the three Italian studies were included, the frequency of the IL-6 -174 GG genotype was significantly lower than the other genotypes (OR=0.49; 95% C.I.: 0.31-0.80; p=0.004), with no evidence of heterogeneity (I2=0%). Our data supports a negative association between the GG genotype of IL-6 SNP and longevity in Italian centenarians, with males who carry the genotype being two times less likely to reach extreme old age compared with subjects carrying CC or CG genotypes. These findings were not replicated in other European groups suggesting a possible interaction between genetics, sex and environment in reaching longevity.

El cristianismo Aymara: ¿Inculturación o culturación?

Hacia comienzos de la décadade los 70, escuché de boca de algunos agentes eclesiales exteriores que trabajaban en el campo aymara reflexiones que me dejaron perplejo. Dejaban a entender que nuestro trabájo entre los aymafas era una "nueva colonización, que les estábambs haciendo más mal que bien, que estábamos perdiendo nuestro tiempo. Esas reflexiones se basaban en el doble presupuesto de que no hace falta ser cristiano para salvarse y de que, de todas maneras' la cultura aymara era tan firme y había resiitido a tantos ávasallamientos que era imposible "destruirla" con el cristianismo y nuestro esfuerzo estaba condenado al fracaso' Posteriormente, en el año 1986, tuve otras dos experiencias en el mismo sentido' La primera fue mi encuentro con un excatequista aymara que, legitimamente habiendo sufiido algrln problema con la lglesia institucional, había decidido volver a la religión aymáa ancestral haciendo ábstracción de más de cuatro siglos de cristianismo'

Da abordagem Orff-Schulwerk ao desenvolvimento do ’eu musical’ : flow em processos de ensino/aprendizagem de educação musical

O presente trabalho visa discutir a relação entre a abordagem Orff-Schulwerk e o desenvolvimento do ‘Eu Musical’ em contexto de Educação Musical no 2.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico genérico português. Na tentativa de verificar, analisar e tentar compreender esta relação, o processo empírico fundamentou-se na Flow Theory, desenvolvida por Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi. O enquadramento teórico conduziu à elaboração do ‘Modelo Multidimensional de Eu Musical’ (‘MoMEuM’), o qual, partindo da abordagem Orff-Schulwerk, procurou bases epistemológicas na Flow Theory, nas vertentes Cultural, Social e Positiva da Psicologia, bem como no Embodiment. A componente empírica do estudo teve como base metodológica a investigação-ação. Nesse sentido, o professor-investigador acompanhou, de forma longitudinal, o percurso de 50 alunos no referido contexto e procurou verificar, através do FIMA - Flow Indicators in Musical Activity, a vivência de ‘experiências ótimas/estados de fluxo’ em atividades/estratégias pedagógicomusicais baseadas na abordagem Orff-Schulwerk e, por conseguinte, no desenvolvimento do ‘Eu Musical’. A análise e interpretação de dados sugere que a abordagem Orff-Schulwerk promove a ocorrência de ‘experiências ótimas/estados de fluxo’ e, no quadro do presente estudo, impulsiona o desenvolvimento do ‘Eu Musical’.

Las santas reliquias en Europa y la tilma americana: la imaginación histórica en la Nueva España

Los sucesos históricos y culturales en ambos lados del Atlántico durante el siglo XVI tuvieron un punto de confluencia en la representación simbólica del manto de Verónica en el teatro misionero y, poco después, en la legendaria tilma guadalupana. La versión en náhuatl del auto de La destruyción de Jerusalem, de origen valenciano, y la conocida historia aparicionista que tuvo lugar posteriormente adquieren un desarrollo elocuente y polisémico a lo largo de la Colonia, entreverándose con la hipótesis de la llegada a América del apóstol Santo Tomás. En estas tradiciones, la representación simbólica sirve para llenar lo que la ideología occidental consideraba una tabula rasa: la historia y la cultura propias del mundo americano. No obstante, la cultura prehispánica ha aportado sus propios contenidos significativos al manto o tilma maravillosa. Con sus propiedades curativas y su contenido cristiano, la tilma se convierte en un signo de identidad entre Europa y América. Para los europeos, prueba de verdadera fe, para los criollos, autoafirmación, y para los indios, permanencia del tiempo mítico.

Estimating fuzzy membership functions parameters by the levenberg-marquardt algorithm

In previous papers from the authors fuzzy model identification methods were discussed. The bacterial algorithm for extracting fuzzy rule base from a training set was presented. The Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm was also proposed for determining membership functions in fuzzy systems. In this paper the Levenberg-Marquardt technique is improved to optimise the membership functions in the fuzzy rules without Ruspini-partition. The class of membership functions investigated is the trapezoidal one as it is general enough and widely used. The method can be easily extended to arbitrary piecewise linear functions as well.

Genetic programming and bacterial algorithm for neural networks and fuzzy systems design

In the field of control systems it is common to use techniques based on model adaptation to carry out control for plants for which mathematical analysis may be intricate. Increasing interest in biologically inspired learning algorithms for control techniques such as Artificial Neural Networks and Fuzzy Systems is in progress. In this line, this paper gives a perspective on the quality of results given by two different biologically connected learning algorithms for the design of B-spline neural networks (BNN) and fuzzy systems (FS). One approach used is the Genetic Programming (GP) for BNN design and the other is the Bacterial Evolutionary Algorithm (BEA) applied for fuzzy rule extraction. Also, the facility to incorporate a multi-objective approach to the GP algorithm is outlined, enabling the designer to obtain models more adequate for their intended use.

Genetic and bacterial programming for B-Spline neural networks design

The design phase of B-spline neural networks is a highly computationally complex task. Existent heuristics have been found to be highly dependent on the initial conditions employed. Increasing interest in biologically inspired learning algorithms for control techniques such as Artificial Neural Networks and Fuzzy Systems is in progress. In this paper, the Bacterial Programming approach is presented, which is based on the replication of the microbial evolution phenomenon. This technique produces an efficient topology search, obtaining additionally more consistent solutions.

A hybrid training method for B-spline neural networks

Current and past research has brought up new views related to the optimization of neural networks. For a fixed structure, second order methods are seen as the most promising. From previous works we have shown how second order methods are of easy applicability to a neural network. Namely, we have proved how the Levenberg-Marquard possesses not only better convergence but how it can assure the convergence to a local minima. However, as any gradient-based method, the results obtained depend on the startup point. In this work, a reformulated Evolutionary algorithm - the Bacterial Programming for Levenberg-Marquardt is proposed, as an heuristic which can be used to determine the most suitable starting points, therefore achieving, in most cases, the global optimum.

B-spline and neuro-fuzzy models design with function and derivative equalities

The design of neuro-fuzzy models is still a complex problem, as it involves not only the determination of the model parameters, but also its structure. Of special importance is the incorporation of a priori information in the design process. In this paper two known design algorithms for B-spline models will be updated to account for function and derivatives equality restrictions, which are important when the neural model is used for performing single or multi-objective optimization on-line.

Design of B-spline neural networks using a bacterial programming approach

In this paper a new technique, Bacterial Programming, is proposed, whose principles are based on the replication of the microbial evolution phenomenon. The performance of this approach is illustrated and compared with existing alternatives.
