Tendências de pesquisa em ensino-aprendizagem de inglês como língua estrangeira no Brasil: 2005-2009

The aim of this paper is to point the main research tendencies in teaching and learning English as a foreign language in the main postgraduate courses in this area, in Brazil, in the period 2005-2010. The adopted methodology for the data collection included the inventory of theses and dissertations, which are included in the sites of the universities with research lines in Applied Linguistics and were produced in the mentioned period. The most productive categories were the ones related to teacher formation, translation, language and technology and studies about teachers and students’ beliefs.

Comunicação e coolhunting: os caçadores de tendências sob o olhar das relações públicas

The anticipation of trends has become vital in today's market due to the shortening of product life cycle. For this reason, the organizations need to be alert to ongoing changes so as to satisfy the consumer market. Given the current profile of these consumers, the reducing of the products life cycle and the transformations of cultural and social aspects, has developed the coolhunting research that uses different processes from those used by traditional trends research and focuses the analysis in the young public. Constant social, cultural and political changes influence directly people’s life and define their needs and tastes. Trends have the role of signaling through these facts people’s preferences regarding to objects and can, therefore be connected with great design, as it works with project that is a planning activity for future. In this context, this study aimed to characterize trend jobs in Brazilians home designing methodology. For both: theoretical aspects were studied that led to reasoning, a field research in five Furniture industries Pole of Arapongas/PR was done, and a research for possible developmental reference of furniture in Brazil. Results indicated: misused and mistaken concepts of trend and ignorance on how they operate lack of knowledge about industries sector consumer profile, the concern about sales and not with consumer as “furniture user” and finally, the existence of Brazilian referential sources, but the lack of skilled professionals that could decode these sources.

Convergência, jovens digitais e tendências para a recepção radiofônica no século XXI

The paper aims to present a theoretical and applied analysis of the relationship of the young members of Generation Internet with forms of reception of content defined in the current scenario of convergence of media and languages. The paper aims at highlighting the direct relationship of these young people with the radio, and present data that can serve as reference for the current research on reception and media culture. Para ello, los datos de una investigación empírica sobre los hábitos, las formas y los niveles de consumo con los modelos de interferencias directas y procesos de gestión se presentan hasta hoy.

As novas tendências da gestão escolar no Brasil nas últimas décadas

Atualmente versam no campo da educação inúmeras discussões, dentre elas a questão da gestão escolar e sua atuação nas instituições de ensino, públicas, privadas ou outras. Um aspecto, portanto que inquieta esta pesquisa, são os estudos sobre administração escolar e quais são as novas tendências da gestão escolar para atenderem as exigências da sociedade moderna. The public consultation n° 018/2014, for review the Module 8 of Procedures of Electricity Distribution (PRODIST), conducted by National Agency of Electric Energy (ANEEL), aims to improve the regulation of power quality, considering the phenomena harmonic distortion, voltage unbalance, voltage fluctuation and short term voltage variation. These regulatory changes impact in the way of analysis and treatment, of power quality disruption, by the electricity distribution. The developed work makes a study about the applications of these new regulatory requests and hopes to contribute with a better understanding. Through power quality measurements, in distribution substations, with different load profiles (industrial, urban and rural), was obtained a real view of the system, under the aspect of power quality, to evaluate the regulation adherence to the current version and proposed. In this case study, although being in accordance with the current methodology, happened a transgression of propose. With a comparative analysis, was possible to identify some phenomena that were more flexible in the proposed revision and others with more severe monitoring

Estudo da cadeia petrolífera no Brasil: uma contextualização das tendências da indústria nacional e das relevâncias do PRH48

In the past few years, the Brazilian oil and gas sector had a considered growth, gaining enough relevance at international level, and being extremely important for the Brazilian socioeconomic development. However, the sector is still limited due to technical deficiencies. This work aims to conduct a current study, comprehending the entire oil chain, since it is possible to mention the Brazilian market updates on this context. To support this study, the historical development of the Brazilian petroleum industry was presented and the main stages of the production process were exposed with an emphasis on exploration and production phases. The new technologies developed for deepwater extractions, such as the pre-salt regions, were also discussed and, in the end, the relation of this growing market with the opportunities of the Human Resources Program of n. 48 was highlighted. This program identifies the market's actual needs and it's scarce's areas with the purpose of building capacity and qualified workforces, since it is also aimed, in a national level, a self-sufficient human resources for the sector

Infraestrutura de data center e suas tendências com foco em eficiência energética

With the Big Data development and the growth of cloud computing and Internet of Things, data centers have been multiplying in Brazil and the rest of the world. Designing and running this sites in an efficient way has become a necessary challenge and to do so, it's essential a better understanding of its infrastructure. Thus, this paper presents a bibliography study using technical concepts in order to understand the specific needs related to this environment and the best forms address them. It discusses the data center infrastructure main systems, methods to improve their energy efficiency and their future trends
